Sarah Brooks Independent French, German and Spanish Language Tutor: what do users think?
freya houston: A late review, however more accurate in retrospect. I was undiagnosed and unknown to have ADHD at that time and Sarah was brilliant teaching me to learn Spanish in various unconventional ways, knowing that the way at school clearly wasn't working for me. I went from low end grades to finishing my GCSE with a B (which was amazing for me). Thank you Sarah :)
Poppy Lile: Sarah is a fantastic teacher who is very patient, fun and engaging. Her lessons are always effective and greatly entertaining! They make me excited to go to the next lesson. She has made me much more confident in speaking French and she helped me through all my mock exams. I have made so much progress with Sarah and can't recommend her enough.
Tom Glenn: I had a lesson weekly with Sarah for a year and without the lessons I would've really struggled to get a good grade in Spanish. Sarah helped me fix my problems and develop things I didn't previously understand to ensure I was comfortable with what I needed to do to be successful. Sarah has been hard-working enthusiastic and supportive throughout the year and I can't recommend her highly enough. Sarah helped me be ready for my mock exams and after the cancellation of my real exam this has been even more important to me as it's meant I could still achieve the grade I want and I wouldn't have been able to do it without Sarah.
Izzi Grumi: So helpful and very encouraging, used to barely be able to speak Spanish and always thought I’d fail it but with Sarah, she has made me much more confident with it and over the past couple years she has tutored me, my spanish has improved massively and would recommend Sarah to everyone x
Rue Leverland: I can't put into words how much Sarah's guidance and tutoring have helped me through my GCSE's. Sarah is a lovely bubbly tutor who is always positive; there's no need to nervous as Sarah makes you feel right at home. I am very appreciative of Sarah's confidence in me right from the start because by the time I got to my GCSE's I was confident in my own ability. So much so, I could go into my exams believing I could do them well. Not only did Sarah help me majorly improve the French ability I had from school, but she made it fun, with all the games she has that make you forget you are even learning.I cannot recommend Sarah more, she is an excellent choice.Thank you again, Sarah, for everything.
Luc Murphy: Sarah gave me German lessons for 8 months leading up to my A Level exam. I plan to study German at University and needed to improve my verbal skills and confidence to ensure a good grade.I cannot recommend Sarah highly enough. From the start, her lessons were well planned and engaging. She always went to great lengths to ensure I had understood each lesson and provided additional work for me to practise at home. She is very good at communicating complex grammar structures and simplifying them in a way that is easy to understand and put into practise. Within a few months, my confidence and ability had greatly improved to the point where I felt very comfortable walking into my exam.Sarah has given me the skills I now need to take German forward to University. If you need a German teacher, Sarah should be your first choice.
Peter McKinlay: I have been taking lessons with Sarah for the last two years and I highly recommend her. Sarah's knowledge of the subject is excellent, her lessons are enjoyable and engaging, she's significantly raised my confidence with speaking and writing in a foreign language. If you need a tutor for yourself or your child definitely get in touch with Sarah.
Abigail Lakey: Started lessons with Sarah at the start of year 11 and could barely count to 20 but after only a year I really enjoy Spanish and I’m hoping to do it at A level which I would have never dreamed of. I Recommend Sarah to anyone whether they’re a beginner or even want to improve their conversation and speaking skills.
Chloe Kunz: I have been an Alevel German and Spanish student of Sarah’s for the last 2 years and can not recommend her enough! She has helped me to develop my skills and performance to an extent where I’m now predicted to achieve A grades, which definitely without question could not have happened without Sarah’s help. The amount of extra work and support she gives is extraordinary and she will do whatever it takes to help you and teach you in the best way possible. If you are struggling with GCSEs, Alevels or simply want to improve your ability then I would give Sarah a 10/10 recommendation, she is the best teacher I have ever met and will always make you feel at ease in such a friendly learning environment.
Holly Lakey: I cannot express in words how incredible Sarah and her teaching methods are! After getting a D in AS German, I urgently needed help and couldn't have asked for anyone better. Sarah helped me gain an A in my a level speaking exam and B's and C's in my resits. Thank you so much and would recommend Sarah to anyone of any age☺️
Cath Jarvis: Sarah is a fantastic, motivating teacher whose positive approach to teaching french meant that my son actually looked forward to his lessons! She also helped us navigate the complexities of the GCSE process. Totally brilliant...
Jess Woodward: Sarah helped me for two years with my German A-Level and was absolutely brilliant! She's fantastic at what she does and always ensures that her lessons are fun, enjoyable and relaxed. She's a very lovely and very funny teacher who has helped me grow so much in confidence. She's amazing
david stanton: hi , im a mature student that has been learning german with sarah for the past 9 years , I've gone from counting up to 10 to reading german broadsheets, writing essays and conversation german on many many subjects, my level of knowledge of the german language is often complimented on when i visit germany , yes I've put the hard yards in ,BUT the level of patience ,understanding and teaching from sarah is outstanding .we have covered so many subjects to enhance my german language skills they are too many to mention , if you're thinking of private tuition look no further ,sarah is the real deal .
Elizabeth Eyre: I am one of the students Sarah taught throughout my GCSEs last year. In the first year of my GCSEs I really didn't like german, only getting C's and B's on my controlled assessments, but after starting to go to Sarah's in the second year I started to improve; first with an A on my speaking and then an A* on my writing! Although german has never been a strong passion of mine and I still didn't really like it in lessons, I did enjoy going to my private sessions with Sarah once a week. She made the language easier to understand, she was enthusiastic and she would also play fun games :D .If your son or daughter doesn't enjoy doing a language or really struggles with it I would highly recommend Sarah as a tutor.
Simon Wilding: Sarah has been teaching German to my colleagues and I over the last months. She brings energy and passion to her teaching which is a pleasure to see.To be honest I find languages difficult but Sarah's approach is fun and engaging.I feel that if she can teach me German then she is truely an awesome teacher!
Will Hinde: Sarah has taught my 15 year old son weekly for the last half term. Sarah teaches him using techniques that make French interesting and pertinent to him. Sarah's enthusiasm and energy are infectious and my son genuinely looks forward to his French lessons. In the last half term he has gone from a C to a B we are so pleased with his progress, fantastic!
Fiona Horne: Sarah visited us in July to deliver training to myself, a secondary specialist, and 4 primary colleagues. The purpose of the training was to bridge the gap between KS2 and transition to KS3. There was no question that Sarah was the person to do the job, as she had delivered 4 amazing training session to myself and other secondary specialists through the academic year. This sessions did not disappoint! Her training has helped to totally change the way I teach and I know that this is the same for my colleagues, both primary and secondary. Her sessions always invigorate my enthusiasm for my job. I can't recommend her training enough!
Michael Pickles: We are learning Spanish with Sarah, who is is an excellent teacher, very patient and just brims with enthusiasm, provides loads of imaginative aids to use to gain understanding and fluency!
Nick Morton: My 12 year old daughter attends extra tuition with Sarah once a week for an hour. She was finding it hard to settle into Languages at her new school so we asked around and Sarah came highly recommended. From the start it immediately boosted her confidence in French and she now says how much fun it is compared to her secondary school teacher!Sarah is patient and plays lots of language games to with her to keep her engaged but makes them be their best. She also gives awards to motivate, and my daughter was over the moon when she got Student of the Week!If your child needs a bit of extra help my daughter says she's awesome. Can't get better than that!

Caroline Chisholm School: what do users think?
lol idk: school is so bad and all the teachers can't even do their job properly
《Nīghtmāre Đēmøn》: I hate that place, I feel like I'm constantly being made fun of just because I'm "different from them"
Mckenzie Welsh: good
Mckenzie bryson: Good
Alexis Geek: Teacher's and facilities are good generally. However, the students are very poorly behaved. They will constantly bully shy, 'alt' or people that aren't like them.Unless you own the best things, blindly follow everyone and hide your true self, everyone will pick on you for it and tease you continuously. It's a shame that it's just the people that go there ruin everything.
Kanye Weast: Primary school is good but secondary isn’t
James Giddens: Good school
Matt Lol: This school is horrible the teachers are so mean and cant teach properly
Aimee Kennedy: It's ok. I learn hardly anything here. Facilities terrible, bullied constantly. The only good thing is Learning Support. Amazing, supportive and kind.
Freddie Fudge: Let me tell you about Jill Green - Primary Office Manager. My partner has been for a tour of the school and the lady (not Jill Green) was really lovely and polite. So much so that my partner insisted we try and get our son in there and even relocating for that school.I phoned up today to request information and possibly book in a tour myself. After 3 attempts i found myself speaking with Jill Green - Primary Office "MANAGER". The conversation went as follows:Me: i would like some information regarding sending my son to your school, as my girlfriend has been for a tour and was really impressed.Jill: The admissions lady is very busy with reception year admissions, but if i take your name, your sons name and also a contact number, she will TRY to get back to you in the next few days.Me: That sounds great, my name is Freddie - F.R.E.D.D.I.E.Jill: IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY OF SPELLING FREDDIE?Me: Yes, some spell Freddie with a Y.Jill: UMMM I DON'T THINK SO.I then gave my sons name and contact number then ended the call. Now, i might be a bit over sensative here and please excuse me if i am. However, i don't feel it's right to be spoken to in this manner by a "MANAGER".I have also looked into the sliding scale of Ofsted reports and noticed the following:Overall effectiveness - Requires improvementEFFECTIVENESS OF LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT - REQUIRES IMPROVEMENTQuality of teaching, learning and assessment -Requires improvementPersonal development, behaviour and welfare - Requires improvementOutcomes for pupils - Requires improvementEarly years provision - Outstanding16 to 19 study programmes - Requires improvementOverall effectiveness at previous inspection - GoodAs you can tell by this long winded review i am absolutely fuming at how i was spoken to by Jill and i will be sending this exact review to the headmaster who will hopefully provide me with an explanation.Freddie.
Felix: Trashy school, I learn more on youtube than I do here lol
Xeon Sakura: i was cosntantly bullied and the genral enviroment was making me fell unsafe
Vanessa Avega: I love this school! Despite some immature kids who attend here I still love it here!!
Skye Hatton: So basically, this school was amazing from year reception, up to year 6! I must say the teachers I used to have were incredible, well there were some exceptions. Anyways the school do give you a great learning environment, its up to the students to make their experience good! I however no longer go to this (not for bad reasons, simply because I lived to far) BUT I do recommend this school as they are wonderful with supporting/helping In any way possible.i hope for whoever comes here, that you have a wonderful time, make many friends that are loyal, bond with the teachers, and i can guarantee that you will want to relive this school experience! Two things i miss are the teachers and my friends. i hope for parents possibly reading this, that you find happiness within your childrens hearts! 3
Oyin Akintunde: Amazing school
Shadow Freak: This place is amazing, and I'm not just talking about the facilities. The staff are very kind and thoughtful, and the teachers all have their own unique teaching styles. One thing to note about this school, is the designated support unit for students who struggle with everyday work and activities. Even those with disabilities, who have their own, special learning area. The support staff in the DSP, or Designated Special Provision, are very kind and caring for those who are in the DSP unit, and try to help the students out as best as they can.I say all this, because I was once a student here, and despite being annoyed with a lot of things, I actually enjoyed it here. And I still miss it.
