M RH98: As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted with a warm welcome & hello.Customer service skills by Lois was exceptional and went above and beyond to help me with any questions.Lovely clean shop and great upkeep.I personally now know the reptiles there have the best life, it would be hard to have a better life when they leave!
toby blain: Called immediately placing order for frozen goods to ask not to post it next day delivery as i would not be home to collect it.Somehow they couldn't not ship it and when I eventually got my box of defrosted goods they refused to refund it.

Max. delivery time advertised on the website was 5 days (I even paid for faster delivery) not 20+ days with no end in sight! It is unfair on the animals - I ended up having an animal without it’s home for over a week now, I’m making do but if you love your animals DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!! After 3 weeks of waiting and no resolution I purchased elsewhere and requested a refund from this ridiculous shop. Still waiting... Horrendous customer service and truly terrible communication. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!
Matthew Robins: Highly recommended for any one looking for or has Reptiles. Very friendly, knowledgeable and honest team that put the welfare of the animals first. As a local breeder too also good to buy from a local company that cares.

Chelsea Knight: Ordered a full Chameloen tank set up, lights, and accesories needed for collection of our Chameloen!This company took our money for it all and promised Next Day delivery! We had nothing but twigs delivered on the day, everything else on our order never arrived! No courier name, no tracking couldnt even guarantee it was even coming that day! To then be told part of my order had been delivered to another number that was still not our address.We have still had no refund. No apology and No items other than twigs delivered.Sounds like they are accusing us of lying instead of sorting this issue!Would not recommend at all!

Matthew Hogan: I wouldn’t even give them a one star, My fiance got me a heat bulb for my birthday in December. The bulb broke in January! They said that they was going to send her a new one which they didn’t because it was out of stock. We waited over a month still no bulb and they only just refunded her today with no updates, absolutely shocking! We order a lot from here but Will not use again.

Ace Anomaly: Don’t go here. The customer service providers are petulant.I went to counter for help towards advice on upgrading my newly bought snakes vivarium. The guy was indirectly rude in his implications of my cruelty for keeping my NEWLY BOUGHT snake in a 2ft vivarium.Even after I had made clear I was sold this as a starter kit. Being told that I could upgrade to a 4ft Vivarium at the end of the month. As it is only a baby snake. And yet the service provider stormed off an threw a huff at his colleague saying indirectly how it makes him disgusted people who know nothing and keep snakes in small enclosure.Which a 2ft enclosure for a 2ft snake, hardly seems small to me. And I told this person it’s only til the end of the month. The collegue he spoke to then served me carrying on his prejudice against me .This is honestly the worst store you can go to : and they do not deserve to keep running a business with that childish attitude .Today on 22nd Dec 2022 I have returned and had a much better experience. However , seeing your response now to my original review has made me reconsider taking down this review as you have “petchulantly“ disregarded the entire complaint with creating your own narrative of my experience.Frankly this is not the mature method or attitude for running ANY business .
Richard wright: Really knowledgeable and helpful whether its you're own pets or one of their own( which are kept clean and healthy and clearly all took care of hourly basis let alone daily) they are more than willing to help you. Even if all you have came in for advice and not for anything else. They'll happily help as best they can and more than likely you'll come away knowing more than you did when you walked in! Definitely the place to go for reptiles!
B Smith: Have always been pretty good when ordering online before. However, recent order was a joke. Items not packed securely (tube stuffed with paper at one end and sellotape). Boxes were open inside, a bit of sticky tape would have secured the contents? Both lamps ordered didn't work, £60 down the drain, requested to send back for a refund but no response on it.Frozen food was delivered late and refunded, out of their control.
Max King: Purchased at 10:30am in order to receive same day shipping and guaranteed next day delivery on frozen mice. (Going on a last minute work trip and needed some extra for a couple of weeks). Never received tracking that day, chased it the following and was told it was due to postage strikes which I had assumed were only affecting Royal Mail and not APC overnight as it was not stated and was still paying a fairly high cha for shipping. I said that I would still take the delivery as someone in my would be able to make themselves available for a delivery slot, the delivery slot was an entire day so obviously that couldn’t really happen mid week. Was expecting to be able to instruct the courier to leave the package outside like other delivery companies but and was told the sender had to allow deliveries to be left so I contacted NRC and said that it couldnt be done until I pushed them and then they said it would be left outside. Found out this morning that it was given to my neighbours totally defrosted. Please change the delivery company to allow time slots, update customers on strikes as the delivery can be urgent. £20 worth of rotting mice and a hungry snake. Only positive is how quickly support came back to me, just don’t order if you aren’t very flexible or it is urgent!
Ronan Doherty: Thanks for taking over LiveFoods4u. I now have to pay double what I used to pay to be able to get the same order of locusts as from them. Considering how often I need to purchase them, it’s a joke how much you charge for the same thing.

Rosie Brice: What a great place! So pleased I visited and a big thank you to the friendly and helpful staff, particularly Sam for all the advise and recommendations for our two rescue tortoises. Sam even took the time to give them a thorough health check. We've made some changes to our set up and way we keep our tortoises and they are already happier and more lively and interactive. It's made such a huge difference to me knowing they are are being cared for in the most natural and suitable enclosure I can provide and also the valuable advise of separating the two different species.I came into the centre hoping for some help after visiting a few places closer to home and I'm so glad and grateful I found you guys, you are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and have set my mine at ease, highly recommend a visit here! Thanks again, we will be back!

Joe Whinnett: Do not use, very disappointed for wasting my fuel getting here, most of the bearded dragons had stubby tails/dropped, was waiting a good ten minutes until someone even come over and said hello, he even engaged with a customer that walked straight in and we had been waiting. Went to another reptile centre and they even agreed that they have had multiple bad comments about this shop, I have had bearded dragons before and the way I was spoken to was like everything I had was wrong.

Helen Aluko: I can’t rate this pet store high enough. The service offered is first class. We saw Kim who is extremely knowledgeable and understood exactly what we were looking for. Our cheeky Coco (who helped herself to a biscuit!) was so relaxed with Kim whilst having a harness fitting. Thank you and well done for a 5 star service.

Jay Horsley: We recently went into the Northampton branch inside Dobbies Garden Centre and we wanted some advice as our dog was struggling with his diet. The member of staff was very well aware of the types of products that would be suitable for him. We tried a new product and now his digestion is a lot better now. The member of staff said if it did not work we could bring it back for either a replacement or refund - wow how good is that customer services.

Hayley kindly made time for us and talked us through how and what to feed our dog to fix the issue. We bought a bag of a kibble that Hayley recommended and our dog has eaten and enjoyed the whole bag! Very pleased! We'll be back to get more :)

Wendy Wright: Excellent shopping experience, buying gifts for someone who is just about to get a puppy and wasn’t sure what to get but was approached while I was looking around and given very sensible advice on choosing a few items for such a young dog. Their knowledge was fantastic and they certainly knew exactly what I should and shouldn’t buy. Highly recommend visiting this store for their expertise and choice of products which was vast. Also a very clean store and well laid out. Will visit again in the future.

Gillian Sapwell: My puppy had decided that the food she had been being served was no longer what she fancied, so after a brief discussion with Mai at the Northampton store, she advised I try ROR (raw puppy food) as an alternative. It has worked and she has eaten all that I served to her, and looked for more. She’s teething at the moment and the soft texture and the simple flavour of the puppy food has proven to be a perfect alternative to the food she recently rejected. Thank you, I would thoroughly recommend it.

Jacqueline: We had the best time at Puppy Hour which we came to three times. It was a lovely chance to meet other puppies and their owners and our puppy had the best time! From initially being quite scared of dogs on walks, he now approaches them confidently. The staff were amazing at giving advice on everything from food and products to training. It was obvious that the staff genuinely care about every puppy and it’s lovely that they remember us when we are shopping in Pets Corner.

Haz Pais: We had purchased 2 Russian hamster from PAH and one of our hamsters was really poorly we rang everywhere for info and no one wanted to help, then myself and my son went to pet superstores and we were greeted by Ocean, she was like a breath of fresh air, she helped us and put my mind at ease, a change of bedding and some tea tree cream later and I have a happy hamster again all the fur has grown back!!! This girl is excellent and deserves all the recognition! Thank you Ocean x

Bryony Sidwell: Took my 2 dogs to be groomed. Worst experience for them. They were absolutely traumatised when they got home have been shaking for 2 days now petrified and won’t go on walks or even eat. I saw one of the groomers holding my dog by his beard and yanking his head around and also pulling his left leg roughly he’s now limping! We will not be returning! They didn’t cut the dogs claws even though that is part of the full groom. Manger was useless assured me they cut dogs claws but the evidence is in the claws! Didn’t question the groomers to make sure this had been carried out and wouldn’t listen to a word I had to say. So they have definitely lost my custom!

Stewart Wagstaff: With the price of everything going up all the time, shopping here is frankly a bit of a luxury, but its mildy convenient and the staff are reasonably quick mopping up the dog wee that seems ubiquitous in all branches of pets at home.

Nicola Cooper: Hasn't changed in 11 years (when I moved away). Sadly so outdated & unclean, especially the animal section. The poor rabbits, hamsters etc were in filthy enclosures. Staff standing around till chatting when they could be giving the areas a fully good clean. Needs closing & having a complete refurbishment & thorough deep clean.

Lily “Lil”: It’s so sad to write this as usually I love this pet shop. I spend hundreds every month or so on products and occasionally animals here. We used to be treated so well by a lovely bubbly woman who was passionate about the animals and proper care and customer service. I hate to be that one who complains about a business but I feel the place has been let down lately. My latest encounters have been with a large older man who is newer working there I believe. His customer service skills are little to none. He has no knowledge of the animals especially the fish (he bagged up the fish we pointed out eventually with a major struggle and when he did he put them straight to the counter so we didn’t get a chance to see. Upon arrival home we discovered he had given us the completely wrong fish as he had no idea what he was doing. Other incidents have occurred since but the one today didn’t sit well with me. I enquired about the location of a product they sell after finally getting their attention whilst they were chatting at the till, only to be lectured by this man about how the product is bad for my dog and basically ranting at me about how I shouldn’t be buying it for my pet because of how bad it is. Eventually after listening to all of that I usually wouldn’t say anything as I have very bad anxiety and encounters like this make me sick to my stomach and very uncomfortable however I was getting visibly fed up and blurted out “well she’s dying anyways so I’ll give her what she likes and whatever she wants thank you”. I’m very unhappy with the customer service and how they’ve treated me and my partner lately and how I’ve witnessed them treating others. (Like misidentifying animal breeds, misgendering easily identifiable birds which could lead to the death of them and by their constant rudeness). I know it’s not all of them but they’re letting the whole store down each and every time.
Karen Coles: The shop has a variety of pet supplies, but very over priced on most things, the staff do not seem to know very much about the products and animals they sell, also the lady who served us we found very un professional and uninviting, she lacked customer service skills and was quite rude. A few weeks ago my dad went and brought a cold water fish for his fish tank at home, when he got home, he realised she had actually sold him koi carp pond fish, ... He took it back and exchanged it but, seriously the staff should know what fish are what.
Fawcett Major: I love this Pet shop with its friendly staff and traditional interior They stock a variety of foods for all manor of pets and wild life feeding.
Steven Harsant: Whilst the store has a good range of items, the animals are kept in poor conditions. Bird cages very over populated and many of the animals look dishevelled. I can't support a company that has such little regard for animal life
Steve Antipolo: The people seem lovely but the place is too overcrowded with stock making getting around really difficult. No way could a wheelchair or mobility scooter get around

Malin Hjelm: Staff are always very nice and helpful. I used to take my customers with learning disabilities here all the, to look at the small animals. When one of the staff saw us looking at the corn snakes, she asked if they wanted to hold one, which they all loved.

Natalie Powell: The young girl that served me and my husband with 2 koi fish was so so lovely, sadly on our way out of the outside area where there were fish there was a bucket just sat on the floor by the door that has some water, bits of hay, and 4 dead fish! Not really a great advert for a place that sells fish!!

Emma Webster: Very friendly lady there. You cannot park outside so parked safely further up the road. For a small shop had alot of stuff. Only sold 1 make of flea treatment for cats which I have never heard of. (Used it, didn't work had to go elsewhere to buy spot on).
