Laura Lubie: Always a great night out when they do their theme nights - tickets are affordable and drinks aren't too bad, so decent value overall. Staff are friendly and helpful. The lack of seating in the events room is always a challenge (especially in heels!) but I understand they want to sell as many tickets as possible and give people space to dance. One tip (for ladies) is to join the toilet queue in advance of desperation, as you'll likely be standing there for 10/15 minutes. The great atmosphere makes up for all that, so I recommend it.
shaunado: Picturedrome always does some really good nights. Always a friendly crowd there and never any trouble. The venture is great although the prices are on the slightly steep side. Always a good meal there too if your hungry and the brunch is always a winner

Andrew Cheshire: Place was empty. Format has not changed in many years so it should work. Nobody seems to support the local leisure industry in this whole town anymore.
Laura&David Hawkins: We went to the Retro bar to watch a friends band play. The bar staff were lovely, a little pricey for drinks I'd say....for a bottle of beer and a pint of coke was £8.60. I went into the ladies toilets, they were clean but a little dated...they still had everything you need including mirrors for days! But it was quiet as well as it was still early. I may just have to come back when it's a bit busier to get the Retro Bar atmosphere and buzz.

mercie james: On two occasions i have had bad experience of being forced out of a table claimed to have been reserved, which has no reserve sign from the beginning. And had been there over an hour before being asked to leave.that didn't feel good at allMaybe put reserved on tables to avoid inconveniencing customers.

T0xic Enemie: Never been out in Northampton before was meeting some mates and I asked the bouncer outside if the clubs name was Elysium (where I was meeting people) and he said yes so I payed the entry fee to find out Elysium was the club next door. So the bouncer pretty much made me waste me money on entry as he falsely tell me where I am.Adress on here isn't even correct

Susan Beardshall: Have been going to the black prince for a few years now and the staff are always friendly. Have brilliant live bands and dj sets..the outdoor area is superb especially on a summer evening.
Kieran Jones: Had some great times at this pub over the years, popular with the local alternative scene. Great music and entertainment, often come here for DJs and Wrestling in their huge beer garden. Landlord often gets involved, great atmosphere.

Jon Field: Parking on Pavements started with a high energy set. Solid entertaining rock and good humour from Dude Safari followed. Torus did not disappoint with a wall of grunge rock of 14 songs which did not let up. It was all over too soon, washed down with a great selection of real ales. Garden is also fantastic.

Daver S.: It appears that the club trying to hire unlicensed bouncers. When trying to enter club with 5 people, we were approached by a person who barely spoke any English with no security license from a club. Instead of making things professional, considering we haven't made a single problem. So called bouncer with no license approached us and denied entry without even checking any details. When he was challenged about having no bouncer license, unfortunately he started shouting abusive language, trying to provoke peaceful side. After ignoring and continue going away peacefully person still followed trying to make a fight by shouting abusive and demeaning language, trying to bully people by their appearance. Try to avoid this club, as unlicensed bouncers trying to make trouble on purpose.
Steven Barrie: The whole place is unprofessional, security can’t even do their job properly, my friend got her neck grabbed, instead of kicking out the people, they kicked us out. Avoid this place at all cost, unless you’re looking for a fight at the bar. By all means go head.

STEREO WAS THE FIRST PLACE I CAME ACROSS AND THE OWNER WELCOMED ME LIKE INWAS THE FAMILY. I own them my life, my FAMILY and rest of my life. Since then I am regular customer. And will never go to another place.

DM: The Roadmender has been a staple of live music in Northamptonshire for decades. I have seen many bands here over the years, and I'm so glad it's still running. If you get the chance, go and see a band here it has good acoustics and is a great place to go and meet friends for a night out.

MD C: Spent many a good night here since the 90's, good backstreet venue that has great acts on and supportive to the indie / alternative scene... Oblong shaped , school type' hall tho' so unless down the front its hard to see...Recommend.( agree with previous reviewer re the pepsi max thing )
Burger Prods: Excellent little venue - hasn't really changed in years. Great for more intimate gigs of all genres. Great parking right across the road (especially as it's free on Bank Holidays!). Would be handy to have more complete details about door opening and act times but, generally, all good with polite and efficient staff.
Oliver Hawkins: Always reliable to host the fantastic 'Bedlam Breakout' weekenders. Plenty of bar staff who are efficient & polite. Great sized venue for these bands, with plenty of foyer space for merch etc. Been coming here for years & long may that continue.

Drunken Duck Promotions: A neat venue opposite a multi story carpark.I've been too many gigs here and have no complaints about the sound.There is a generous sized stage & the Roadmender attracts some decent acts.Don't ask about drink prices. I don't even bother anymore due to the ridiculous prices charged by most music properties.Well worth a visit.
