Hilton Northampton: what do users think?
Godwin Asogwa: The place is amazing especially the foyer. The staff are great and very welcoming. Eva in the reception is great. Rooms are super clean, it’s a bit outdated but in a great condition. Breakfast is great. Will definitely recommend if you want a decent and quiet place while in Northampton
vijay Mistry: All good except no warm water in the shower ...hmm...
Emmanuel Gbahabo: Rooms: Clean and satisfactoryRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Matt F: OK for a short business trip. Staff very friendly and attentive, offered a free upgrade which was nice. Room very spacious and clean but decor a bit dated. Bathroom nice and clean, good powerful shower and a nice comfy bed. Breakfast very tasty and main restaurant food is good. Only things that’s let’s the hotel down is the outdated rooms, and lack of electrical sockets next to the bed. Would be an excellent hotel if the rooms where updated.
Paul Bayliss: Second visit here to visit family in the area. Another nice stay in this hotel. Staff very attentive and friendly. Rooms clean but could do with a little update. It's in an ideal location, close to the M1 and not far from the town centre. Breakfast is recommended. Very nice with plenty of options.Rooms: Rooms are a great size but could do with an update.
Thies and Carol: The room we stayed which is a deluxe room was extremely old furnished, window was old and draughty, bathroom tiles were cracked and the glaze on the tiles off, the floor was so bad that we had to keep towels on the floor so we didn't cut our feet, the limescale on the taps and shower was so bad that the water flow was greatly effected. The hand grip to step out of the shower was so rusty and eroded that i daren't hold it as thought it might come off. Restaurant evening meal food was dry and was cooked from frozen. we had fish and steak, the steak was so fatty that it couldn't be eaten. We didn't complain at the time as was only staying 2 nights for my mothers funeral so had more on our heads.
Denis Calvert: Rubbish stay room very tired noise early hours Manager not interested said we've had a party in. Food cooked in microwave and very expensive for what you gotNearby activities: Good for Silverstone and plenty of kids running wild at night
Peter Fontaine: Rooms are in great shape. Service was excellent at the hotel and the restaurant. Food was very good. Would happily returnRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Dami A: Stayed over for 2 nights. It was a bit noisy on the ground floor. However the staff were all lovely. The rooms are very large but deco is dated also it could be cleaner, there was an old contact lens on the floor of the bathroom. The bed and pillows were quite uncomfortable also. The restaurant had very nice food for dinner and lots of options for breakfast.
CP: It’s really reasonable .Specially breakfast is amazing
Niall Simmons: Staff are great, always friendly and super helpful, dinner menu is good, if slightly pricey for what you get, but the breakfast buffet is outstanding! Well worth it on its own!Rooms are always clean, tidy and pleasant, albeith it slightly bare, with everything in good working condition.Regularly stay here for work and would recommend it!
Robert Clarke: All great for a 1 night stayRooms: Spacious roomsFood & drinks: All good - v good breakfast choices
Gerald O'Connell (Gerry): Very good
Rose Harrison: Had a very pleasant 1 night stay.Check-in staff were warm, helpful, and courteous.Room nicely and calmly decorated.Parking £7 per night, or free for certain hilton honours members, who book direct. No issues with noise.Thermostatic control of the heater, but no aircon. No fridge. Had everything else you would need, including a large desk, a sofa, a large TV, a hairdryer, an ironing board and iron, a safe, a secondary door lock, a phone, and thick curtains.Close to the main road, and very handy for the motorway, but well insulated from road noise.Room service was quickly delivered and of the usual hilton standard. The thing that I most enjoyed was the deep bath, with bountiful hot water, and a good, strong overhead shower. You don't often get a good bath/shower combination, particularly these days, which is a bit of a shame. A good soak was a lovely relaxing treat after a long day, and the shower was nice and strong, so I felt really refreshed afterwards.I would gladly stay again.Rooms: Very pleasant relaxing decor. Plenty of space. Large desk. Good thick curtains. Lovely bath/shower combination - comfortable, deep, plenty of hot water, bountiful overhead shower.Only niggle was the slightly tired mattress, which was a tad lumpen, but not enough to prevent good sleep.Safety: Secondary lock on room door, plus peepholeNoteworthy details: Deep bath and strong overhead shower.
Steffen: I was teaching at a course at the Hilton Hotel. Plenty of parking space in front of the hotel.Excellent lunch buffet.Did not stay over night so can't comment on the rooms.Noteworthy details: There is a barrier for car.
Darren Harris: I have called 4 times to try and make a booking and still haven’t got anyone to answer the phone it doesn’t look good for the hotelService: 1/5 …More

Northampton Marriott Hotel: what do users think?
Daniël van der Stelt: Good hotel, has everything you expect from a Marriott hotel. Good bar and restaurant available with good food and a wide variety of drinks. Rooms are clean and comfortable as expected. Next to the hotel there is ample space to have a good walk through nature and a golf course.

Julio Vargas: Nice place, free car parking
Penny Richards: This is a very comfortable hotel with beautiful green lawns and pond nearby. You have to have a car, because it’s located just off freeways and there is not a way to walk anywhere. It was very comfortable! More high-end than a lot of places we stayed on our trip we had a family room and the staff was excellent very accommodating. We also ate a full English breakfast buffet in the morning and it was a great authentic experience.

Andy Timperley: I stayed in a very comfortable suite on the ground floor with a patio area looking out on the field. The traffic noise was not too intrusive with the patio door shut. All the suites have two outside walls so can be a bit cold in winter. The whirlpool bath in the room was a really nice extra but again no heating in the bathroom so get it hot in advance. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and I had a good dinner in the restaurant. My only comment on the food is that it was beautifully cooked and then served on a cold plate. This comment was fed back to the kitchen so hopefully rectified. Overall a great place to stay and very conveniently situated.
Nabeal Nasser: Very exceptional hotel, oana ,imane and ming receptionists were absolutely amazing.i was really impressed with the high standands and welcoming hospitality. Definitely one the best delta hotels in the UK. Very high standards, a luxury hotel in Northamptonshire .Plenty of carpark spaces, comfortable rooms and good food.,I enjoyed my say here and will definitely recommend. 😀

Jacky Henderson: The staff were very friendly and accommodating which is exactly what you need when you have a conference running for just under 200 people. The rooms were good and had all the things you’d need when staying away from home - good Wi-Fi, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, coffee/tea making facilities, desk etc. The food was really good, plenty of choice and very well organised. The hotel is in beautiful grounds, in a peaceful location but easily accessible. Matt: I was quite excited to play golf here, I shouldn’t have been.Photos look great online and whilst I appreciate the time of year, the reality is it was nothing like the photos. certain bits were not acceptable for the price you pay for a round here.Firstly, you couldn’t even tell what was rough and what was fairway, it all looked the same and was patchy at best.Secondly the bunkers, worst I’ve played in and I’ve played at some below average courses in my time. The greens were bumpy, full of marks and pitch marks, rarely took the line of a putt with jumping of course along the way.Lastly, tee times are way to close together. Now, I’m not the greatest golfer but I hit a good ball and play off 14. You had to rush every shot and practically power walk between shots or someone was waiting behind you. Not enjoyable and not what you’d expect at £45 a round.Honestly, I can play my local course at half that price and have a much better experience in better conditions. Has so much potential but I would recommend getting a few more Greenkeepers as they obviously can’t keep up.

Neil Dunkley: As a 2 ball playing off 14 handicaps,we teed off promptly, after hole 4 we let a 2 ball through due to a lost ballA 4 ball group followed very very closely behind-we could only assume they were playing speed golf, we felt constantly pressurised and rushed which we felt ruined our experienceOn the 12th a member of the 4 ball behind us,asked us on the adjacent fairway if they had driven over our heads, clearly not, this member then stated that we should get a move on!despite us playing well within our time, this 4 ball then started to lose ground-2 holes in fact to which they let a 2 ball though. This 2 ball again were constantly chasing my partner and I for no reason as again we were playing well within the timingsIn the carpark we were visually and verbally confronted.Such a shame as my friend and I were talking of joining the course prior to the incidents!!We actually closed the game and shook hands at 1511-over half an hour ahead of schedule!!Lovely course but not so lovely members!!!Def would not return!!!

Ian D: The hotel website is out of date and contains incorrect and/or misleading information. Their website promotes a ‘thriving’ business yet rooms and events cannot be booked, and emails/calls remain unanswered. Gillian Clarke: I booked a room for the night on 15th October as it was a treat for my freinds bday. We also attended the Michael Jackson tribute which was fab! The room 513 needs attention/update. The remote had no back on it & had 2different batteries in it? The hairdryer kept cutting off aswell. In the downstairs toilet there Is a cracked seat and it "pinched me" when I got up so this needs doing ASAP. The lack of staff is sad as we waited a while to be served at reception many times. There should ALWAYS be a member of staff at 1st port of call. Apart from that they were very pleasant and accommodating. We shall be back in the future in the hope that things have improved. Even if slight.Thanku for a great evening though and we wish you all the best! Gill & Linda .
Andrew John: Booking process was very good and checking in before arrival was the first for us but excellent because of the time we arrived after attending a wedding!Service at the reception was very good on both arrival and departure. The room was very dated and in need of much attention! Double bed was very uncomfortable with the springs almost completely unsprung! Bitten throughout the night during sleep! Cobwebs on the lamp at the side of the bed! Carpet not clean! Specks on the bed lining! No happy in the morning having an uncomfortable nights rest and also to have House Keeping knocking on the door at 3 minutes past Noon calling out and saying they want to clean the room in an irritable fashion! Not happy! Glad we never paid for the £15 each breakfast to have further disappointment or to add to this review! Charlie at the reception gave good advice to email the manager who was not on site to express our concerns and see what can be done, which we will be doing!

Mike Bushrod: One of my worst nights ever. After 1 HR to check in due to it being a business trip and I do not have access to the card that booked the room, I finally got to my small, but clean room. All windows were wide open. Didn't really thing too much as it may just be to allow heat to escape and general ventilation. Went for tea, but it was quite late, so on returning, got ready for bed. Popped to the loo, and noticed a smell of sewage. Thought it must be coming from the open window, so closed them, and the door. Didn't sleep well, tossed and turn but felt groggy. Got up 430 ish as I couldn't settle to go the bathroom. The whole room smelled vile as the sewage aroma was coming from inside the room, along with the toxic gases that I was breathing in all night. The night receptionist, Geo, visited the room and confirmed the smell. I left at 5am.
Carmae O'Reilly: This is an awful hotel. Really dirty. Rude staff. Very unsafe environment. Avoid at all costs. I should have read all the other reviews before booking here. Hugh Sheehy: It's an odd place. A spectacular manor building at the back, and a hodgepodge of added sections on the front. Not the best looking place from the front. There are several bars, from the quiet and elegant bar out the back to the one with pool tales and fruit machines near reception. Again, an odd mix.Check in was a bit slow but otherwise the service was good and friendly. The food was excellent, despite the menu looking like a refugee frmo a steakhouse. The rooms were clean and tidy. Some rooms are short of plugs near the bed...in case you want to watch a movie on your laptop in bed. Bathrooms are fine.If I'm back in Northampton, this is where I'll stay. For the money, great value.
Gemma Webster: Booked an evening meal here with my husband, having moved to the area recently we had never been before and we are literally in walking distance! When we first arrived we were a little confused. There were signs up or areas but none corresponding with what we had booked on the website, there was also a wedding on and didn't want to walk in on it so went to reception to see where we were meant to go. However there was no one there. After walking around for a few minutes and calling (with no answer) trying to find where we needed to go we headed back to reception where someone had finally shown up and got directions. We had booked for the terrace restaurant. We arrived at the bar waited and the waitress asked where we wanted to be seated, i said somewhere quiet, she then sat us in the middle of the wedding party. We were asked to order at the bar. When my husband went to order he had waited 15 minutes to be second in line and then told there was a 45 minute wait for food! We ended up leaving and booking somewhere else last minute, a lovely little tapas place called tres angelos on the kettering road. I get there was a wedding on but it wasnt busy with non wedding guests and would assume this is something they would accommodate for?! Had i of known at the time of booking I would booked for another day. The whole experience from start to finish has put me off going somewhere that could of been a nice regular haunt for me and my husband and also friend and family when they come over!!

Dave Hanstock: Great hotel very good staff comfy bed, clean and tidy nice private parking in the hotel courtyard ( and they lock the gates on a night which is a nice touch) nice breakfast included. The only reason for a 4 on rooms is the paint work is a little tired and the shower could do with a little more oomph but that is me being really critical. The area is a bit run down hence the 4 on location but plenty of conveniance shops and fast food outlets.Would I go back ? Yes definitely great price too. Recommended 👍Food & drinks: Great breakfast included in room price.
Andy Grayson: Some people may ask why I have given this hotel such a high rating. The reason is two fold, both on the value for money front and the very friendly and helpful service that we received at this hotel. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was good and the rooms spacious. The owners were really nice and seemed to always be about to take care of their guests. For what we paid for the stay it's probably one of the best value for money places I have stayed in.Would I go back? I certainly would. We used this as a base for attending Japfest at Silverstone this year and will most likely use it if we go next year.
M M: Dated, basic but clean, well run old hotel. Some room has got a small fridge. Good WiFi, decent hot shower.Breakfast was really generous, good bacon, plenty tea/coffee... You shouldn't miss it.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More

Renata Micek: Lovely english breakfast. Very cheap one near city centre. I recommend the Langham HotelNearby activities: ParkWalkability: Near city Centre
Tracy Ena-Smith: Hotel staff friendly. Clean. Breakfast table were a little cluttered, but the staff did their best and we're pleasant. Shortage of parking spaces, and if your car is not back by a certain time it is gated with no access.Room was adequate. Clean. Bed comfy.Nearby activities: Social club, park for walkers, town centre for shopping. Silverstone, and Stoke Bruene, canals.Walkability: Although they don't do evening meals, Barrack Road snooker club does wonderful meals and reasonable prices within 10 minutes walk from hotel.
Iyabode Osindeinde: The breakfast was lovely, the room was not the modern one, dusty, and we couldn't sleep due to bed bugs. We were bitten, and all our skin was itchy and swollen. We showed the cleaner the videoWalkability: It's walkable distance to the town centre and there are lovely views around itFood & drinks: Their breakfast is lovely English breakfast. Except you have to wake up early for it. Breakfast is 7am till 8.45am, which is too early for us.
GEETIKA SACHDEVA: Rooms are really outdated, staff is rude. N breakfast, omg there tables are soo small and they serve only 1 sausage and 1 scrambled egg, they do not bother to ask again if u need anything. They do not ask for juice flavour ,just throw their choice of juice to dump urself fst so that u ask for less breakfast followed by coffee n then comes the bread after 5 min then after 5 min u receive a plate with nothing in it.. they have no much staff 2 people handling everything. They can do better ... n yeh that pathetic printed bedsheets... buddies you r charging same as a good hotel,u should gear up ur services too.

Overall, not the nicest but definitely value for money.Rooms: Good space. Lots of storage. A bit damp. Good heating. Bathrooms are clean and hot water running. Showers work fine.Food & drinks: Breakfast included, not many options though but good taste.Noteworthy details: Free street parking at certain times, hotel also has it's own at the back with an insanely narrow way.
Steve Loader: Rooms: The overall was nothing special but it was good.Large spacious room fitted with a kettle, TV, iron and surpringly even a mini fridge. However decor feels slightly dated and in need of modernisation and was disappointed to discover that no towels were provided in our room.Overall good value for money minus the few negative pointsFood & drinks: I would like to see breakfast continue a little later to atleast 09:30 or 10:00 because I think the 8:45 cut off for breakfast is a little early.
Amisha Patel: I left an item of clothing which was brand new, as soon as I got home that day I called and informed them. The gentleman said to call back in half an hour, where he said he had found it. I was meant to them pick up, unfortunately I’d had to go abroad due to a death and recently returned. Called then this morning and he said that there wasn’t anything there, contrary to what was told to me on the day of check out. The man had the nerve to be increasingly rude to me on the phone, and then put the phone down. He’s asked me to call back at 5.
PhysicsNerd1997: Stayed here as a last minute booking, yes the rooms are a bit outdated however are well priced and the breakfast was amazing!Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Cecilia Deng: Rooms are ok, but the heater is not controlled by the guests so need to remind them to turn on in cold weather. The fan in the bathroom is faulty so the room is damp. The breakfast tables are so crowded and no much space for your plates. But the price is very good so for a budget hotel, this is best value.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Andrew Stayne: I have just stayed at the Langham Hotel over this weekend. The two owners were friendly helpful and attentive from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were warm with central heating good showers and the bed comfortable and all very clean. I slept very well and the breakfast was excellent. 0lenty of parking space too. Very good value for money. I think they have created a nice welcoming atmosphere and they clearly care about their guests. I would definitely stay again if I'm in Northampton.

The Plough Hotel: what do users think?
Nicola Deaton: I was extremely concerned to stay at the Plough following reading reviews online, however had been booked in via work. Having read a wide range of extremely negative reviews about the cleanliness, I spoke to reception about my fear and was assured the rooms were thoroughly cleaned. I was pleasantly surprised upon entering my room, which was clean and presentable. My two colleagues rooms were also cleaned to a high degree. Although the hotel needs updating, they have clearly taken account of the previous negative reviews.
Andrew Cheshire: Very comfy bedroom within 1 min walk of the main bar strip.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Chris Eversham: An absolute dump, my room was disgusting. Do not stay here!Rooms: 1/5|Service: 3/5 …More

Everal Campbell: Went to a reception very authentic building with a large hall had a good timeRooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Simon 1: Good location close to town centre and free parking.Room cleam and warm, could benefit from a repaint but very good value.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Dee S: I like the changes to the rooms and bar areas. Rodica, is very pleasant and straightforward.Walkability: Central location for nightlife.Food & drinks: On the premises, but restaurants and bars nearby.
Bronson James: Noteworthy details: I was very nervous as my husband had booked the hotel and I see the reviews I panicked however the room was clean, beds comfy, bathroom spotless. The only issue is the drinks there far too expensive and we where at a party there so couldn’t not go elsewhere, the staff where lovely overall 5 starsRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Dumitru Ştefan: Very pleasant place to stay for few nights, staff is very polite and helpful, nice bar and breakfast, I will chose same place next time when I will be in Northampton.
Brighton Mapuranga: Conveniently located within the central area of Northampton and provides good servicesRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Howard Jacks: The weekend before Christmas we had previously booked, and upon arrival at the hotel about 8.30 there was a birthday party. The disco was just starting up and it was scheduled to go on till 12.30.We asked to check the noise out in our room and it was too loud for us to stay there. They offered us another room which was just the same. They declined the request for a refund .We would have put up with it had our request for a 50% reduction been acknowledged, but this again was refused. Very poor.I have business colleagues who were intending to use The Plough but on principle I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there. 0/10
Dee B: Dodgy. When we arrived we were told there was a party, but we couldn't hear anything in Reception so we paid up and went to the room. It was only around 8pm but already there was thumping music, no way you could even sit in never mind sleep. We went back down and asked to be moved, but when I was shown the room my partner stayed in Reception and he told me they'd got the music turned down while I was up there! We asked for a refund and were refused, went elsewhere. Contacted them by email afterwards with a polite request to be refunded and were told no. Tried another polite email and have been ignored. It wasn't the lady on Reception's fault, she phoned the manager while we were there with our request for a refund and obviously wanted to help. Clearly no manager on site, at least not that night, she was left to deal with things. We were not told about the party when we'd called to book nor had it been on their website. Awful place.
Kevin Blackhurst: There staff were both friendly and helpful.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Hamish West: Hope your idea of a good hotel is getting harassed by the manager not 20 seconds after walking through the front door over a review (I didn’t make) most of the staff are rude and looks like they don’t want to be here to be fair I wouldn’t either the place is a dump can’t say anything bad about the lady with the black hair at reception hairs all over the room hotel looks older than a certain someone she knows who she is hotels are a mock for the prices they charge basically long story short the place is gross and most of the staff are doughnuts stay here for a quick way tospend your money and be disappointedP.S. if you haven’t already noticed I figured out how to make the review 😂
Anna: Good hotel, clean and comfortable rooms. I like the breakfast very much. The staff is friendly and always ready to help. I have been living here for more than a month, I am very satisfied, I recommend it.
