Paul Collingwood: We have just spent the last 2 month in cherry tree cottage on theRyehills cottages site as we have over the last 10 Years. And as usualIt was a pleasure to be in the middle of the country side the perfectPlace to recharge the batteries with perfect host. Hope to return next year.Five star all the way
Jill s: Bob and I stayed at the Sudio for 8 weeksAlthough compact it had everything we needed for our stay. The quality of fixtures and fittings is of the highest standard and was spotlesly clean. Maggie and Mike are wonderful host's nothing is too much troubleWe highly recommend the Studio. Thank you both for a wonderful stay
Angela Wilson: This is our 2nd stay at Ashley Cottage. We stayed for 8 weeks. It had everything you could need( even a dishwasher)It is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean & the bed upstairs is so comfortable.I really can’t fault this place, Michael & Maggie are super friendly & helpful with any queries we had.We have 2 dogs so lots of places to walk & the scenery was amazing! The pub which is just a short walk away serves lovely food too should you not fancy cooking!
Erica: We stayed in Coombe Cottage for 3 months and it was a great place. The cottage was well appointed, clean and accurately reflected in the photos and descriptions on line.Maggie and Mick the owners were approachable and helpful, without being overbearing or intrusive. The cottages are set around an open courtyard with ample parking, down a small lane through a field of sheep, which made the trip to and from the cottage most delightful. The cottages are well situated for both Daventry and Northampton, and have lots of walking routes through the countryside from the doorstep.A beautiful place, I cannot recommend highly enough.
Jan Brown: Wonderful place to stay staff out of this world
Chris Banks: I stayed first at Ryehill Country Cottages 18 years ago during a house relocation from Cheshire and everything worked out very well. Again this year I needed temporary accommodation whilst moving house and I was delighted to learn that Mike and Maggie were still running their business. It has been a very stressful year for me, but Maggie has been so helpful and understanding whilst my house purchase took time to complete. The accommodation is very comfortable and I was able to self cater and freeze homemade meals very easily. The water pressure in the shower is also very impressive! I was delighted to find that as a cricket lover, I could connect my Sky box and watch domestic games. I discovered that Mike is also a great cricket lover and we had some good conversations, although he does support the wrong county in my opinion! The cottages are well maintained and set in such peaceful and beautiful country surroundings. I left Ryehill feeling much better than when I arrived. Thank you so much Mike and Maggie!
Ingo von der Heide: We were the 5th time on holiday at Ryehill Country Cottages. It is a very peaceful and welcoming place, for us meanwhile like a second home. The village East Haddon and the surrounding area are beautiful, we love this typical english countryside with hills, meadows and lots of sheep. Many great day trips are possible from this place, for us an important point. The cottages are very comfortable, the interieur has rustic charm and they are decorated with a lot of attention to detail. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and very helpful with any kind of questions we had.
RICHARD HIGGINS: We had a great stay at Ryehill Country Cottages. The accommodation was cosy and rustic but with a modern feel. The owners, Maggie and Mike were very friendly and helpful. We had some lovely walks including my favourite: a ten minute stroll to the village pub where the beer and food were great.
Steven Wyse: Stayed here for a few months after returning to the UK from South Africa. Utility bills just given as a written amount, no meter readings given. Single track access road was covered in mud on a daily basis. The sheep/cattle grid you have to go over was cracked and split, so watch your tyres. Some ofThe cottages are converted cow sheds, so have no foundations and we had damp on our living room wall. Spent 3 hours clearing the access to the cottages car park. No help from the proprieter who was in Australia on holiday, or his family who also live there. Probably nice in the summer time.
Rubi Tendean: Nice place and Superb people.

Meadowview Cottages: what do users think?
Hani Welsh:
Paul Welsh: Spent two weeks in the coach house cottage it was amazing, the owners were very helpful and hospitable, spoilt us with very eggs and honey from the farm. The cottage had everything we needed, the place was amazing with stunning scenery. Would highly recommend it to anyone.
David O'Hare: Lovely place to go and feel at ease, it is a farm that rents out long cabins 3 bedrooms and a lovely decking area with amazing views of the countryside
Abbi Roberts: After a very stressful few years of Covid, we decided to book Larkrise at meadowview cottages for a long overdue family get-together. We were very comfortable and confident that Judith and Jim had followed all the necessary precautions to ensure we had a safe stay with them. The cabin was very well equipped and super cosy, and there were even fresh eggs from the chickens ready for our breakfast. Situated on a working farm there was plenty for the children to see and explore. I cannot speak highly enough of Judith and Jim's hospitality, as nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much for having us, we will most definitely be returning.
joanne harris: Winning location and wonderfully homely cottageWe have just spent 6 weeks at the Coach House whilst having our house renovated.Despite being local and choosing mainly on location and proximity to home - we could not have wished for a better place to stay. The farm is so peaceful - a wonderful place for the children to play and enjoy seeing the animals. Our hosts, Judith and Jim, could not have done more. Nothing was too much trouble - including extending our stay twice and also hiring out another cottage for extended family to visit for a special birthday weekend. They were so generous providing fresh eggs, honey and chocolates during our stay. When you arrive you can tell that they are delighted to have you - fresh flowers, immaculately clean cottage, tea/coffee and milk in the kitchen, wonderfully comfy bedding and towels - it all signals the start of a wonderful stay. The cottage itself is extremely comfortable and extraordinarily well equipped. Literally, nothing you could need is missing. We loved barbecuing and sitting on the patio enjoying sunny dinners, as much as cosying up in front of the woodburner when it turned colder. The cottage is perfect both in the sunny weather and especially as it turns colder. For anyone new to the area - it makes a wonderful base - the local village has a coffee shop, bakery, deli, 2 supermarkets, butcher, pharmacy, pubs, takeaways and restaurants. Only five minutes drive or a 20 minute walk from the farm.We cannot recommend Meadowview cottages highly enough.
Jacqueline Cartwright: Just returned home after staying a week here .It was the most relaxing stay ever .we stayed in the coach house very well equipped and comfortable. Spotlessly clean. The family run farm was a pleasant change to other places we've been. The family we're very welcoming and always at hand to deal with any issues(although there were none). The treats we received on arrival ie fresh eggs honey chocolates etc were delightful. Thank you so much will definitely be coming again
Peter and Sue Hopkinson: On a recent visit to the UK we stayed in The Granary at Meadowview Cottages for 2 weeks while we were doing our 10 days self-isolation and it was just brilliant! It had everything we could have wished for and then some more! Everywhere was beautifully clean and the accommodation has been prepared with a great deal of thought. Comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen (with more pans & gadgets than I have at home!), fluffy towels, brilliant wifi and even fresh farm eggs and steak produced on the farm were waiting for us on arrival. We were very lucky with the weather and it was just great to have our own private patio garden to sit out and enjoy it all. There are lovely views from all the windows, information about local walks is provided and, if you want to visit Althorp, it is virtually “next door”. The hosts, Judith and Jim are so friendly and helpful that it really made the visit perfect for us. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at Meadowview Cottages.
Lynne Taylor: We absolutely loved our stay at Meadow view cottages - we rented out all 3 cottages so that we could spend time together safely (in terms of covid). It worked perfectly - the children were able to explore the gardens and play area, feed the chickens, play with the dogs, meet the sheep and cows and most importantly - they were able to run to 'grandma and grandad's house' (Larkrise) at 7.30am on their own...! We were also able to all eat together in the evenings as Larkrise has a covered veranda with beautiful views and sounds. We loved visiting all of Northamptonshire's country parks and Castle Ashby, and just being together on the farm. Judith and her husband made us feel very welcome and were very kind with the children. We have booked again for next year - a fantastic holiday after a grim year of covid lockdown.
Andy Denby: Fabulous location with a superb host. Located on a working farm surrounded by cows, sheep and chickens, yet quiet and with great WiFi and a host who was always friendly and helpful (fresh eggs each week). Well equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings. Would recommend to families, business people and holiday makers alike. Our 10 weeks between house moves here have been fantastic.
Laura Kocur: We had the best time here! Lovely welcome with fresh farm eggs :) Judith was unbelievably helpful (even buying a bed guard for our toddler) and was always around to fix any issues. The children loved feeding the chickens and playing in the backyard. Lark Rise is easily big enough for 6 people (and we had a big 4th of July party here too!) Thank you again for an awesome stay, we'll definitely be back!
keta soni: Amazing location. We stayed in larkrise which was really big and perfect for 4 of is. We could have had 2 more as there was plenty of space. Jim and Judith were really helpful with suggestions and even let us have s little birthday party for our girl and some family. Our kids had a great time feeding chickens and even getting to sit on a tractor on their working farm. We definitely hope to come back.
Chris Gwenin: We stayed here with two allergic children and our hosts Judy and Jim prepared everything for us perfectly we could not have asked for more. The only downside to our break was that the children wanted to stay forever, what more do I need to say? Many thanks for a fabulous tranquil relaxing break.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Tracey Roberts: We stayed in Larkrise the log cabin over Easter, everything was immaculately clean and beautifully presented. The cabin is equipped with everything you need for a family holiday and really spacious. We particularly enjoyed the outside veranda perfect for alfresco dining and a large garden area for the children to play. The welcome we received from the owners was second to none. We were a family of four (children ages 7 & 8) and were joined by grandparents for part of our stay. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the stay, the tour of the farm and the peace and tranquillity of the location. Many thanks - we cannot wait for our next visit.
Sarah aʼnd David Sawyers: We really enjoyed our short stay in Larkrise. There were many personal touches which made us feel so welcome, and plenty of space for six adults to relax and socialise. The cottages are in a lovely peaceful spot, but Long Buckby is nearby and offers a good choice of food options. Thanks for being such good hosts - hope to see you again!
Sarah Howard: This is our second time here it's such a lovely peaceful place. Feels like home when you walk through the door. The whole family enjoyed it, we all found it so relaxing. Our son loved looking out the window and seeing the sheep. Will definitely be back again next year.
Jean Tucker: A nature lovers paradise ,equipped to the highest standard, Larkrise was one of the best cottages we have stayed in. Very welcoming hosts and beautiful weather.
Paul Holliday: We loved our stay at Meadowview Cottages. Gorgeous scenery and so peaceful, we loved walking around the area. The accommodation was wonderful, we all slept very well. Our 8 year old daughter enjoyed the play area but especially loved seeing the farm animals best of all. I really can't recommend the cottages enough, thank you for a great stay.
krum dimitrov: beautiful place , very kind and helpful owners.green landscapes.regards from Bulgarians.
Sabine Briels: Great place to stay.We enjoyed our stay at the cottage.(Larkrise)Kind regardsAlex
