Godwin Asogwa: The place is amazing especially the foyer. The staff are great and very welcoming. Eva in the reception is great. Rooms are super clean, it’s a bit outdated but in a great condition. Breakfast is great. Will definitely recommend if you want a decent and quiet place while in Northampton

Matt F: OK for a short business trip. Staff very friendly and attentive, offered a free upgrade which was nice. Room very spacious and clean but decor a bit dated. Bathroom nice and clean, good powerful shower and a nice comfy bed. Breakfast very tasty and main restaurant food is good. Only things that’s let’s the hotel down is the outdated rooms, and lack of electrical sockets next to the bed. Would be an excellent hotel if the rooms where updated.
Paul Bayliss: Second visit here to visit family in the area. Another nice stay in this hotel. Staff very attentive and friendly. Rooms clean but could do with a little update. It's in an ideal location, close to the M1 and not far from the town centre. Breakfast is recommended. Very nice with plenty of options.Rooms: Rooms are a great size but could do with an update.
Thies and Carol: The room we stayed which is a deluxe room was extremely old furnished, window was old and draughty, bathroom tiles were cracked and the glaze on the tiles off, the floor was so bad that we had to keep towels on the floor so we didn't cut our feet, the limescale on the taps and shower was so bad that the water flow was greatly effected. The hand grip to step out of the shower was so rusty and eroded that i daren't hold it as thought it might come off. Restaurant evening meal food was dry and was cooked from frozen. we had fish and steak, the steak was so fatty that it couldn't be eaten. We didn't complain at the time as was only staying 2 nights for my mothers funeral so had more on our heads.

Dami A: Stayed over for 2 nights. It was a bit noisy on the ground floor. However the staff were all lovely. The rooms are very large but deco is dated also it could be cleaner, there was an old contact lens on the floor of the bathroom. The bed and pillows were quite uncomfortable also. The restaurant had very nice food for dinner and lots of options for breakfast.

Rose Harrison: Had a very pleasant 1 night stay.Check-in staff were warm, helpful, and courteous.Room nicely and calmly decorated.Parking £7 per night, or free for certain hilton honours members, who book direct.No issues with noise.Thermostatic control of the heater, but no aircon. No fridge. Had everything else you would need, including a large desk, a sofa, a large TV, a hairdryer, an ironing board and iron, a safe, a secondary door lock, a phone, and thick curtains.Close to the main road, and very handy for the motorway, but well insulated from road noise.Room service was quickly delivered and of the usual hilton standard.The thing that I most enjoyed was the deep bath, with bountiful hot water, and a good, strong overhead shower. You don't often get a good bath/shower combination, particularly these days, which is a bit of a shame. A good soak was a lovely relaxing treat after a long day, and the shower was nice and strong, so I felt really refreshed afterwards.I would gladly stay again.Rooms: Very pleasant relaxing decor. Plenty of space. Large desk. Good thick curtains. karen ward: It's nice if you get the room you paid for and that room wasn't falling apart, with light fittings hanging off and melted USB ports either side of the bed. Also right next to a busy duel carriageway. The rooms facing away from the road are really peaceful though.

Penny Richards: This is a very comfortable hotel with beautiful green lawns and pond nearby. You have to have a car, because it’s located just off freeways and there is not a way to walk anywhere. It was very comfortable! More high-end than a lot of places we stayed on our trip we had a family room and the staff was excellent very accommodating. We also ate a full English breakfast buffet in the morning and it was a great authentic experience.

Andy Timperley: I stayed in a very comfortable suite on the ground floor with a patio area looking out on the field. The traffic noise was not too intrusive with the patio door shut. All the suites have two outside walls so can be a bit cold in winter. The whirlpool bath in the room was a really nice extra but again no heating in the bathroom so get it hot in advance. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and I had a good dinner in the restaurant. My only comment on the food is that it was beautifully cooked and then served on a cold plate. This comment was fed back to the kitchen so hopefully rectified. Overall a great place to stay and very conveniently situated.

Definitely one the best delta hotels in the UK. Very high standards, a luxury hotel in Northamptonshire .Plenty of carpark spaces,comfortable rooms and good food.,I enjoyed my say here and will definitely recommend. 😀

Tricia Samaroo: I am currently staying at northampton ibis hotel. The front desk staff is unhelpful. The night staff was kind to put my food in the fridge, however i went to ask for it and for it too be heated in a microwave. The staff in day shift said there is no microwave, when i called to complain they said can't heat outside food its a health hazard. I asked them to send policy and apparently they are now writing it and printing it. Very unfriendly, please go to hospitality school

tyrone ratcliffe: Stopped here many times but the last time I left at 3am because of the bed too hard , the curtains let light in and I couldn't sleep at all so £55 down the tube because the room bed and curtains safe say I won't be staying here no more NEVER GOT A REFUND EVEN THO I DIDNT SLEEP HERE OR USE THERE FACILITIES!!!!!!!!Rooms: They differ the one I had last was basic I even had screw the bulb onto the light because it wasn't working there was a chuck wood come away from the headboard the lights that are left to the bed couldn't even hold there own weight of there own (drooping)

Nicola Deaton: I was extremely concerned to stay at the Plough following reading reviews online, however had been booked in via work. Having read a wide range of extremely negative reviews about the cleanliness, I spoke to reception about my fear and was assured the rooms were thoroughly cleaned. I was pleasantly surprised upon entering my room, which was clean and presentable.My two colleagues rooms were also cleaned to a high degree. Although the hotel needs updating, they have clearly taken account of the previous negative reviews.

Howard Jacks: The weekend before Christmas we had previously booked, and upon arrival at the hotel about 8.30 there was a birthday party.The disco was just starting up and it was scheduled to go on till 12.30.We asked to check the noise out in our room and it was too loud for us to stay there. They offered us another room which was just the same.They declined the request for a refund .We would have put up with it had our request for a 50% reduction been acknowledged, but this again was refused. Very poor.I have business colleagues who were intending to use The Plough but on principle I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there. 0/10

Hamish West: Hope your idea of a good hotel is getting harassed by the manager not 20 seconds after walking through the front door over a review (I didn’t make) most of the staff are rude and looks like they don’t want to be here to be fair I wouldn’t either the place is a dump can’t say anything bad about the lady with the black hair at reception hairs all over the room hotel looks older than a certain someone she knows who she is hotels are a mock for the prices they charge basically long story short the place is gross and most of the staff are doughnuts stay here for a quick way tospend your money and be disappointedP.S. if you haven’t already noticed I figured out how to make the review 😂

Dominic Parkes: It's not really a 4 star hotel in terms of service as it does not do evening meals or room service.The room I had was clean, tidy and warm. It also has an ensuite which was good. There were some communal bathrooms so I am not sure if they all have en Suite. The shower was electric and not that powerful but pleasent enough.The room itself was hotel standard.Parking was free to the hotel but a bit tight.The breakfast was good quality food,. It did take a while to arrive as it was busy. They did speed it up for a callwague who was in a rush however - so do ask if you need to get going.The WiFi was good speed so do get on it as my Vodafone WiDi signal was not good.There are some local pubs/fish and chip shops doing food but they closed at 9pm on the Monday. There is a Millers and Carter's about 10 mins away if you would like steak however reserve your slot so you can get in.The local coop has some hot food but this was removed by 9pm when I got there.I went for Dominos delivery in the end which was OK.The service was friendly and well delivered it just didn't have the full service of a 4 star hotel.If I was to stay there again I would probably get there slightly earlier and reserve a spot to eat at a local restaurant.

Lee Friend: Very warm welcome on arrival, explaining what's local in the village (lovely little village) for food and drinks, also a local co-op all within walking distance. Price of the stay wouldn't be beaten for the service! Breakfast the following morning was excellent which was also included with the stay. Back again in March and shall be staying there again throughout the year.

M.V.F. Zorg: Noteworthy details: Voor de buitenlandse mensen, hier kan je naar mijn mening echt de Engelse sfeer proeven. De mensen die er werken zijn erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Zo kwamen wij een paar uur te vroeg aan en konden wij kosteloos eerder inchecken. Hierdoor hoefde ons dochtertje niet langer te wachten op haar middagslaapje.De kamer die wij hadden gereserveerd zag er picobello uit en viel zeker niet tegen. Het enige wat ik persoonlijk miste was een kleine koelkast, maar buitenom dat kon ik er geen echte minpunten vinden.In de avond hebben we gezellig een borreltje gedronken en de volgende ochtend was het op tijd ontbijten, want voor de uitslapers, dat is doordeweeks tot 09u.Deze avond hebben wij er heerlijk gegeten. Er is voldoende keuze op de menukaart en het personeel zorgt ervoor dat je niet droog komt te staan. Ook zijn ze er niet gehaast en zijn ze in voor een gezellig praatje.De volgende avond hebben wij er weer uitgebreid gegeten en daarna nog een mooie poos na gezeten. Ook is de keuze in de drankjes (met en zonder alcohol) er erg ruim. En ook nog zorgde het personeel er weer voor dat wij op onze wenken werden bediend.De laatste morgen heb ik echt Engels ontbijt geprobeerd. Maar ik kwam er achter dat ik toch echt aan de andere kant van het kanaal woon, want de op typische Engelse manier klaargemaakte eieren, dat is niet aan mij besteed.En tot slot eindigde ons bezoek min of meer zoals deze begon. Ons dochtertje was nog bezig met haar ochtendslaapje en wij moesten eigen al weg gaan, maar de kleine en tevens erg lieve mevrouw zei dat dit geen probleem was en regelde dat wij konden uitchecken op het moment dat ons dochtertje weer wakker werd. De schoonmaakster kregen opdracht om onze kamer later in de ochtend schoon te maken.Al met al raden wij een ieder dit hotel aan. Van ons scoort hij op alle punten een hele dikke voldoende. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en alles ziet er tip top uit.

Michelle Chan: Popped in for lunch today... had a lovely steak sandwich! The sun was out so we were able to sit in the garden area too which is well kept. Had a dog with us too who was allowed in the garden area. Didn't have to que and plenty of tables available indoorsWould come here again. Parking available too
Christopher Allam: My wife and I stayed at the Hopping Hare Hotel for 2 nights. The hotel was easy to find and several bus routes were available for the short distance into Northampton. Our room was clean and well equipped, and the breakfast was excellent. We did not eat at the hotel as the meal prices were a little too expensive for retirees - nor did "crushed peas on the menu inspire me! I prefer the garden/mushy option....pea puree; pea ketchup; crushed peas etc on the menu tend to put me off. Just my age! The other problem with age was no lift and all rooms up twisty stairs. We only had hand luggage for two nights but a longer stay would mean cases and great physical difficulty. The staff were great - friendly and helpful. The views from our bedroom was houses and old non- running cars - nothing that the hotel could do anything about.Walkability: Difficult to navigate stairs. No lift and no rooms on ground floor.Parking: Plenty of parking spaces when we went ... a weekend in April.
