Philip Curtis: Staff helpful but always a queue. The bank no longer wants personal service trying to make everything online.
Jan Dunn: Having read the reviews I reluctantly used this branch today (there aren't many branches still open) I couldn't have asked for a better service - I was greeted at the door by a very pleasant member of staff who enquired what I needed to do and offered me assistance. All in all a great experience. Thanks
Thomas Lewis: I find visiting this branch is one of the least enjoyable activities to undertake. Besides the understaffing, long queuing and high temperature; I find some of the staff carry an air of jaded arrogance that can make them more obstructive than helpful. Not even covering the basics of saying hello and goodbye is truly shocking. If you can't do that then what are you doing in a customer facing environment?Overly complex regulations and a lack of willingness by staff to demonstrate 'out of the box' thinking plagues the whole of Barclays.

But u don't thi k u realise that there r no staff in the bank n too many people at this bank with all sorts of problems, including no chairs to sit on when waiting for almost 2.5 hrs to talk to a staff. Most of the younger staff they don't value thier jobs n the customers, especially elderly people. They just want to do as little as they can n go home. No proper manners either when speaking to an elderly. The older people r already stressed with what the world has put them through. USAGE OF THE MACHINES N NO HUMAN CONNECTION. ( can u imagine talking to a machine how one feels n how does the MACHINE respond. "I am a machine FEELING? Any other services. Plz press red button to exit

Not just this branch but even after trying to find a better quality banking experience for my pensioner I found that it's a company culture problem! How are they even surviving as a bank God only knows! They should be sued for lying about caring for their customers!!! Care? They don't know the meaning of the word!!!
Jason Bee: The worst place ever!I checked the opening Days for this week,were showing Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Closed,then Friday open from 9;30am. This morning went to bank at 9:30am then found out that the bank was closed again! Very disappointed with this place and with Barclays if I'm honest to! This will make me to switch bank now because this is ridiculous.

Tahera Khan: Applied for role at Barclaycard. Spoke to three HR people, who all work together. Spoke to them over several months and every time they all fobbed me off with excuses and most of the time did not respond to my emails. Finally got through to the senior hiring manager who told me that hiring manager is Indian and will be hiring an indian national. Since when was this allowed? Anyway, retracted my application and got a job instantly in another company. Avoid.
Garry: Just got a new card. Activated with no problems. Then I downloaded the barclaycard app. All it gave me was my normal barclays bank accounts and not the card details. I went to my branch who sent messages via the normal app and had to endure 4 painful hours of going back and forth. Asked 12 times for a manager and guess what... nobody would pass me to a manager. 6 times I asked to make a complaint and 7th time actually done so wait for 5 days for a complaint manager to contact me. Really disappointed at my start with barclaycard
PrettyJuls Travel & Living: I called the dispute center and spoke to Megan A. She is the best in Customer Service. You need to look at her and let her be a trainer for phone calls because she is perfect.. and that’s saying a lot because I’m picky!!! I’m strict! The world knows it! I don’t play when it comes to Customer Service. She is an awesome employee. I don’t know what her role is but she needs to be training people.
Neil Ginn: Barclaycard App: Statements don’t show up.Marketing offers: Customer Service don’t know about them!!Statement dates: Don’t know when they will be produced each month, told “I’ll have to work it out myself!”App Chat: I resent being told when you call “that your call is important to us” when it takes ages for anyone to answer.The Chat Is useless and should be scrapped, it’s a BOT which takes ages to get past to talk to a human and then the human (who is WFH) can’t answer or sort the query (“Due to WFH”) and attaches details of how “you can do it online yourself”. And forgets to attach them!!!! Trouble is the online system is useless too!So, all in all, since I joined 4 months ago, nothing but problems which Complaints Dept never seems to be able to sort out??

Derek Bruce: Made a claim against a supplier who would not respond to my complaint and request for refund. It was a difficult case but Barclaycard finally supported my claim.I have been with BC for years. For me This kind of service means they are a trusted company and one I have no intention of leaving.

ANN LIGHT: I somehow have a Barclays Credit card - though this was initially Goldfish Credit card, who had a good points scheme - Barclays bank not really a great fan of but the credit card card does the trick and still has points system and has things I can use if for themThe only problem I had was when I noticed unusual activity, they were asking if I wanted it stopped (I had spotted it, so the answer is yes even if only a small amount - it is the principle more than anything else!!)So the card was stopped, and a new card was not issued straight away and it was like getting blood out of a stone, and they then asked if I wanted or required a new one - a new one did not come within a few days of it being cancelledEventually got a new card - but not without hassleI think as with all things as long as there are not problems then it goes OK
Richard Jojo: Barclaycard is yet another example of a tuppence half penny credit card Company. Imagine if you look at their Record of reviews 90% are Bad I.E. Below 1 Star. This is astounding from such a large Bank.Also it seems no effort is being made to improve this tarnished image at all.This should tell you not to waste your time on Barclaycard. Their IT systems are shabby and they ask you to upload paperwork which due to the poor IT you just cant do it. So you end up being timed out.As a result you end up with no credit card because of their own failures of an IT system which does not work. I spoke to a Mark today at 1-30 PM in the complaints department and a more rude and disinterested person I don't think I have ever spoken to. I think they have very low self esteem working for such a dreadful Company. He was not interested in what I had to say and really it seemed that he could not be bothered. This in itself sums up the attitude of Barclaycard and why they have 90% bad reviews.I am only one of a few, I am glad I escaped as I have closed and paid off this accountAvoid and do read the miserable reviews carefully before you apply.

Had to wait very long time for someone to answer my call and they could not answer my questions apart from one member of staff that was very professional.They suspended my card although I never missed a payment and always paid more than minimum. They suspended my card before the due date so then I managed to pay my full balance and now I am closing my card with them and never again. Bye bye Barclaycard 👋
John: I used to work in the Brackmills Industrial Estate which is located close to their Northampton office, nearly every weekday mainly after work I had to put up with their poor driving.Pulling in front at junctions & roundabouts despite I have the right of way and have the cheek to blame me.I have a dash cam footage to prove of their bad driving, very unprofessional.I am glad that I don't work in that area anymore. Also with their poor attitude, I certainly won't be applying for a Barclaycard.

Doo Too: I am speaking on behalf of my mother here .They are disgusting you go near your credit limit and they pull you over by charging interest then because ; they pulled you over your limit by there interest they charge you a over limit and default charge .Very evil people in my eyes very especially in these hard times we have right now .I personally have a card with these people and due to the way they have treated my mother I won't be using the card againAvoid people!
Scott Anderson: Not impressed. They have had thousands from me over the years. I was off work with cancer. Got near my credit limit. I also lost my parents and had 2 funerals to pay for. I sold my house and downsized. I paid my Barclaycard in full. Despite this. They slashed my credit limit by £10,000.00. When I rang, all they did was give excuses and said they use credit rating company. Shame on them! Think twice before applying for a Barclaycard!!
