Northants Caravan Site - Covert Farm: what do users think?
Lawson Noble: Quiet working livery yard and farm. Beautiful views in a lovely part of Northamptonshire. David the owner says hello when feeding the chickens - very friendly and helpful.
Garry Brown: I've been here
Stewart Ward: Great site with an abundance of wildlife. Good walks for the dogs, but keep on leads as sheep and horses live here. Water, grey and black disposal all easy access.
Helen Abbott-dyke: Absolutely lovely here, people so friendly. Had my 2 yr old grand daughter come and visit, she enjoyed seeing the chickens and being able to go and see the horses. Lovely and friendly site, will be returning hopefully. Lovely views and so quiet.
Kenneth Darling: If you see negative comments about this site ignore them. Stunning views, good walking, nice area, very friendly staff and people, clean and tidy; what more could you want?
Alistair: Nice place
david pattison: Ok for stop over. Had to pay extra for electric at 20p a unit
Rob Geeves: Lovely tiny CL on a working stables, plenty of dog walks and pretty villages nearby
Paul ellison: Will never stay here again never met such a rude an arrogant campsite no idea of management and no courtesy. Arriving at site and chose our pitch as instructed which we did and set up and started to enjoy the lovely views, when shortly after arriving horse trailers started to appear and park in the field in front of our view which somewhat spoilt it and unexpected. We decided to eat out so drove our motorhome as the road was to busy to walk with no footpath, leaving behind our electric hook up outside matt and levelling blocks in situ clearly indicating the pitch was taken as the owners knew.On our return we found a caravan had arrived and decided to occupy our pitcj as the pitch they had been given was occupied, could not believe they had not only taken our pitch but used our electric hook up.lead also, and did nothing to move when we pointed this out. Owner came down and asked us to move to the only remaining pitch which was not very desirable,so definitely will not stop ever again The way the owner handled the situation as we were definitely not at fault we were put in this situation, maybe he is a regular who has priority, anyway found a lovely site with nice people with courteous hosts.do not stop.here

Grendon Lakes: what do users think?
Suzie Coomber: Went here for an evening igloo dining. Great fun and the igloos made for a fantastic atmosphere. Food was lovey and service was great.
Phil Green: Wonderful place great people, helpful friendly,
Villan Chris: Recently we spent a weekend camping at Grendon Lakes with some friends. The site is set in 20 acres of the very picturest Northants countryside.Grendon Lakes is comprised of 12 lakes, with 2 been used for watersports and 10 are for fishing. You can paintball or do some water sports which do have to be prebooked online. The clubhouse overlooks the main watersports lake and inside you'll find a fully licensed bar and restaurant which is open Friday to Sunday, it also holds Wedding in a permanent marquee. The cost to camp is reasonable priced and the pitch size is good and that concludeds the positives.Sadly however the shower/toilet block is disappointingly small with limited hot water for showers and only one sink for washing up!! which is just not adequate to cater for all the campers.Even though there is a policy that noise level should be kept to a minimum after dusk, this is sadly not inforced as lould music was heard played till after 2am.There is dog kennel close by so you can hear the echoy sounds of the dogs barking most of the time.So to conclude with some investment improving the facilities and enforcing their policies it would be a an outstanding site that more people can enjoy.
Lisa Marie: Nothing on site to do except for a club house open at weekends staff seem more interested in booking weddings than the campers on site toilet blocks poorly maintained and showers mostly broken plus the staff like to come round at 6am on a noisy tractor to empty 2 8ft tall glass bins making as much noise as possible next to your tent
Jade Bond: This was our first experience of touring, on first impression the site was lovely and looked very peaceful. We drove to the club house to check in, I was given a EHU pitch on Gerald's pond, I said it was our first time experiencing it all, I wasn't told where to have my car or which side to keep, wasn't informed of the waste point. We parked up and got set up, as I was unsure of spacing ect I went back to the club house and asked, I was greeted by a different lady who was a lot more pleasant, she advised there was no one else booked on and I would be fine. The grounds are lovely and very picturesque. It looks very tired in places, the dome overlooking the lake, the club house and the toilet cubicle. We used the aqua park on site which my kids loved and £20 an hour I thought was reasonable, we visited Irchester Country park and its beautiful well woth a visit. There is a tesco about 12 minutes drive away which is handy, there are lots of little country parks around if you want to go out.The toilet cubicles were disgusting and this isn't because of the owners this is because of other campers not having any respect for others, there are toilets rolls provided which were shoved in one toilet so it was overflowing with toilet paper! Point of that is? There was things left floating in the toilets because ladies couldn't be bothered to flush them! yes they do have spiders in but i expect that its an outside toilet block. If i was the owners i wouldnt provide toilet paper, people wouldn't put a whole roll of their own toilet paper in a toilet and block it up! There was a family with 2 dogs next to us, I also had a dog. My dog was tethered up or on a lead at all times. These dogs were not, while you could see they were friendly it caused a nuisance to my dog, they were running over to my van and awning causing my dog to bark. It states that dogs should be on leads, I feel the owners should be monitoring it better, my baby nearly picked up poo that hadn't been picked up! The club house is only open at certain times and said it offered ice creams light snacks and drinks. My children went up to get ice cream and they didn't have any, we hadn't planned on using the club house but it would have been nice if they had the things they advertised. If you want to go away and just be in your van or tent this is a lovely place to stay except the toilet facilities. It's a very minimalist site. I'm happy with how our first trip planned out
anna bell: This place could be outstanding. The grounds and setting are lovely however the facilities and lack of concern from the owners makes for a pretty ropey site. The toilet block (only one) was grotty with no locks, cobwebs and unreliable showers. The clubhouse and bar are only open at weekends. There are showers (which are lovely) in the clubhouse but we could only use them after the watersports and when we did they were full of washing from the glamping tents! This seems to be where the owners put their energy. The weddings and glamping seem to get good reviews. The campsite falls well short. We did have a good week as we made the most of what's on offer in the area and we were with great friends. We recommend Irchester Park, the splash park at Wellingborough, swimming in the River Nene near Oundle and booking into the watersports through Extreme Wake run by another family on site. We did paddleboarding and the aqua park. This was well run and the family were very friendly.I think that the campsite has potential but when people camp these days they expect the owners to be visible and available, good shower and toilet facilities, an onsite shop and children's play area. The clubhouse is a gift and should be open all week from June to August. Surely then the place would be buzzing. If you just want a field and no facilities go here. Holiday saved by the fact that we did lots of fun things with fun friends.
Amelia Filson: Me and my family stayed there for one night and it was beyond disgusting. The tents had minimal bedding and very obviously hadn't been cleaned in a while as there were huge spiders in them when we arrived. The hot tub smelt like sewage water when we woke up the next morning so the kids weren't allowed in it . Also the gas hob did not work when i tried to use it. The only nice thing about this glamping site was the nice open field that surrounded it. Overall it was a disappointing stay.
Ben Nachman: Had a fantastic stay at Grendon Lakes in the glamping huts. We had a group of 25 and the team couldn't have been more helpful in setting up the perfect birthday weekend. The site is fantastic, with plenty to do and comfortable tipis to stay in. Definitely recommend and looking forward to my next stay! Thanks everyone at Grendon Lakes for making it a fantastic birthday weekend.
Tom Furniss (Drifter): Well worth a visit. I spend a lot of time, staff really friendly and brilliant activities
Gary Welch: Camped here for one night, during which loud music was played by other campers and although brought to the attention of the staff, was not addressed. No hot water in any showers in the morning. Having complained after our stay the staff were rude and unprofessional when handling the complaint. The lake for paddle boarding is wholly inappropriate being only 0.5m deep and full of weeds, debris and tyres. Most definitely not worth £10 per person.Would not recommend staying here or using the paddle board lake
David Milligan: Brilliant site and great facilities! We visited with a large group and it had everything we needed for a weekend of fun. Plenty of space, clean and very welcoming.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Stuart Winzar: Lovely place
Mike Baxter: Food was good and the service was good but what made it an enjoyable experience was the staff especially Anne
Jackie Moyse: Absolutely fantastic first time going toa family wedding
Kyle Gilbertson: Great camping facilities. We took a group of 40/50 people and everyone loved it. Highly recommend using this campsite!!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
High End Chauffeurs Elegance at its Finest: An absolutely great wedding venue if the weather is nice and it was on this day. Has lots of other facilities such as glamping that others said was good. Plenty of space for long walks. Only lost one star due to the road access that was bumpy and narrow if you can live with that (our large chauffeur cars struggled) then you’ve got the five stars. Loved it very different.
Leila Cramphorn: My partner and I had our wedding here on 11th June 2022 and would highly recommend! Its a beatiful setting made all the better with incredibly hard working staff that provided assitance in the lead up to the day and made sure the day was everything we wanted! Thank you to all at Grendon Lakes, you were amazing (particularly Lucy and Liz)

Darren Wills: Our favourite place to go. BASIC BUT perfect .
Normski Normski: Lovely peaceful sire. We'll be back
Nick Davies: Been back a number of times now, usually to attend a gig in MK, which is close by. Stoke B is a lovely place. Try the Treasure Trails for a bit of fun. Boat Inn is nice. Canal can be busy. CL has helpful staff (Alison). Good spot to spend a weekend.
Graham Lomax: Lovely CL in a great location.Right on the Grand Union Canal with a pub (The Navigation, about to undergo a revamp, so hopefully will improve) right next door, another five minutes away, as is a good Indian restaurant / takeaway.Lovely walks, flat along the canal, not too hilly away from it.Lovely owner came daily to empty the bins, so they were kept very tidy.
A Dodger: Great cl quite with lovely walks along the canal and a pub close by.
Brad Tipler: Peaceful CL, Lots of room to space out. Basic but close to all Stoke Bruerne has to offer.
Brackstones Travel Adventures: Very nice site alongside the Grand Union Canal, with easy access to the canal for walkers and cyclist and two wonderful pubs the Navigation and The Boat Inn, both service excellent food with canal side seating. There is also an Indian restaurant alongside the canal, The Canal Museum, and a small canal shop, waterside cafe and a very nice 5 mile walk around the countryside shown below. This site is nicely located not far from Towcester for shopping, petrol and a selection of supermarkets or you are not far from Northampton main town. Located not far from the main M1 making this site an excellent stop over if you are traveling up/down the country.
Sandra Biffen: Stayed two nights 18th & 19th September. Lovely site quiet and peacefulhad what we needed. Went to Navigation pub next door on Friday night was unsure as reviews on here have not been good but the food was lovely, staff were brilliant and it was a relaxed evening. Saturday went to Silverstone experience only about 20 mins away plenty of room for parking MH then back to site and a walk along canal with a boat trip on "Charlie" and back to Navigation for a few drinks beside canal and more lovely well presented and cooked food. Would defo go again.
Clifford Dive: We spent a long weekend on the rally field at Home Farm. We had a very warm welcome to a charming location. A lovely place to stay.
Mark Bentley: Fabulous site. Next to the canal for long walks in the morning and close to two pubs for eating and drinking in the evening! Found owners to be friendly and helpful. Didn't eat at pub next door (Navigation) as it had only one star on hygiene certificate. Went in for a drink but it felt grubby with dirty tables and empty glasses everywhere while staff were chatting to each other! Ate at the Boat pub down the road. Lovely food, beer and chat!

Northfield Farm: what do users think?
Stewart Pickersgill: Well this has to be our 4th visi to this wonderful site its peace and tranquility at is best.A well kept site byTony and Francis Pope who have always got time to have a lttle chin wag.You do need your own facilities in you caravan as there are no showers/washrooms. We prefer our own anway so its no problem . A nice dog walk elpackers in adjacent field and Donkeys that on request you can walk them. All in all in all a brilliant quiet little site .
Susan Bryson: A lovely CL for a two night stopover. A very warm welcome on arrival, sheep, alpacas and donkeys for company. When we had an issue with our trailer Tony and Francis were more than helpful, went beyond what was expected. We can't thank them enough. Will certainly choose this site again if in the area, looking forward to trying the homemade jam.
Stephen Goddard: Relax and unwind here on the farm
Paul Harvey: Very nice site and helpful. Wonderful time we had.
John Smith: A nice place to visit.
H: Lovely site and lovely people. Can't do enough for you.
lego rides and collectables: Great site with easy access to shops and parks around Kettering.Plenty of off road dog walking.Added bonus of donkeys, alpacas and sheep in the neighbouring fields.Owners are very welcoming and helpful with ideas and information about the area.
Sue Jones: Very clean owners very helpful.
Freda Bird: Lovely site owners very friendly gave us all the information we could possibly need. The jam they make and sell is absolutely 😋.
Peter Lawrence: We stayed for 3 nights at this lovely site just off the A14 at Kettering - we were taking a trip to get used to our new motorhome and visit friends. It was really convenient for us visiting friends but would equally suit for a holiday, short break or resting stop on a long journey. We couldn't have been made more welcome and were helped by Tony when we had a minor hitch with our water free flowing out! Frances even offered to make us something and even though we said we were ok she still brought us some (very welcome) soup and bread & butter as she knew we hadn't had chance to eat dinner! We had lovely walks with the dogs, saw the alpaca (brought for Francis), sheep, lambs and donkeys. If you want to go in with the alpaca you just have to ask. We really enjoyed our stay and bought some honey and we will try the Rhubarb & Ginger jam next time, as I am sure we will be back!

Whitefeather Campsite: what do users think?
Bennie brown: Will get 5 stars once the new shower is installedWow what a lovely peaceful hideaway. A great little find. Its a pity for us it's just a one night stop over. I'd love to stay longer and totally relaxHighly recommend this site for anyone who likes to get away from it all...but easy access from the main road.Shame it's not on my door step...I would certainly make plenty of use of itBeautiful village with easy access to wslks and a pub down the road.Perfect
Gemma Miller: Absolutely beautiful views, so breathtaking, the facilities are basic but they are what is needed, extreamly friendly and helpful owners.
fiona chouler: Basic campsite, but will be getting better, a beautiful position, a lovely walk to the pub and there is a woodland walk around the village.
Diana Heemskerk: Lekkere rustige mini camping met een prachtig uitzicht.en Lars de eigenaar is een heel vriendelijke gastheer die in is voor een praatje .voor herhaling vatbaar.Diana uit België
Richard Birtles: Beautiful part of Northants and easy access to small park, Lars is a great owner and great hostWill definitely return and recommendRich and kirst
CRAIG DICKSON: Had a great time, friendly people, beautiful view and lovely walk's. I really recommend this site.
Igal Baldran: The campsite has a potential. The site manager is really nice and helpful. Currently it looks like a site in development. They just changed the dishwashing sink, the toilet block requires some attention, and there are now showers. The area is really nice, the close by village, Badby, looks like a village from the movies. Old cottages, beautiful gardens and small shop and bar restaurant at the end of the village. In the small shop you can by some essentials, no need to drive far. You can even walk to the shop from the campsite.A mile'ish from the campsite you will find a bid forest where you can wonder an entire day.
Jennifer Gee: The campsite is set in the most beautiful place in England. Breathtaking views..
Martha Woollard: Myself and friend camped at this campsite on the first night of our 9 day cycle tour to Edinburgh. The owner was so friendly and inviting. The pitches we flat and the area was well looked after. If you’re an animal lover, this campsite is for you. Decent facilities, shower and toilet. Thanks again
annie pettit: I love spending time with the animals at the sanctuary all the animals are well looked after by Annie and her voluntars do a fantastic job and the camping site every one is so friendly and helpful they say it's so peaceful there I call it my happy place
