Digital Marketing Lead Permanent role, Newcastle, up to £60k – Remote role with occasional travel to Newcastle

They are recruiting for a digital marketing lead to spearhead their marketing systems and technology function. This is a new role that will sit within the Market Development pillar of their Marketing and Business Development (MBD) team, alongside Client Development and Business Development.
You’ll be managing a team of two, which will include a Website Executive and Client Relationship management executive, with the potential to grow the team further.
The role will focus on building their marketing technology... roadmap and overseeing their digital marketing platforms and capability. It will include all digital marketing platforms and channels, including data analytics, flows and management. The role will also be responsible for associated process design and business change to optimise digital marketing and client experience. This role will have primary responsibility for data management and data flows across systems, including managing all aspects of the firm’s CRM (InterAction), as well as profile and engagement data analytics; developing a metrics framework and reporting. The role will drive process design, optimisation and, where feasible, automation for MBD projects and programs. There will also be a requirement to producing training documentation and best practice guides and provide face to face training.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the configuration, deployment, operation, and usage of existing platforms; working with IT as appropriate
• Line management responsibility for executives working on each of the current systems (including website, email marketing, CRM, credentials management)
• Report and provide performance analysis on marketing activities across all channels
• Report on client data and engagement
• Keep up to date with new developments and products, participate in research, analysis, and recommendations for new MarTech products and solutions
• Work with the head of marketing and business development operations to develop a better strategy for data capture and use
Key Skills And Experience
• Experience (including both operational and strategic) of core marketing platforms including: website, email marketing, client relationship management, and credentials management.
• Specific experience of the following platforms would be beneficial though not mandatory: Sitecore, Vuture, Interaction, PowerBi
• Team management experience
• Successfully deployed technology solutions, ensuring adoption.
• Significant experience in change management and process improvement techniques.
• A strong understanding of data management fundamentals.
• Both strategic and pragmatic; working to deliver a long-term strategic plan while ensuring a regular delivery of practical improvements.

The role will:
