Central Milton Keynes Medical Centre: what do users think?
Nicole Goyder: Really disappointing service. Was seen 4 weeks ago about a breast lump. Was told by the doctor that he had sent a referral request through.Had to chase this up - there was evidence on my file about a 2 week turnaround referral request, but a 'technical error' meant that it was never sent to the hospital. They have now sent the request off 4 weeks after my appointment, with no note about needing an appointment urgently. So now I will need to wait likely weeks more for an appointment at the hospital. It's a worrying time having a lump which needs being checked, made all the more worrying by the gp never sending off the request.
Laney , Marley: To get an appointment!! "if you can get past the reception, "you will need a phone consultation first, 'which can take five weeks, plus!!!!"Before you can speak, to the Doctor!! "to get a face to face appointment, 'you could die waiting for an appointment!! "I have heard every excuse possible!! & It's only getting worse!!
Thomas Watson: Been using cmkmc for 10 years +. So happy I was a patient here when I was sick a few years ago they so helped me out all over Covid and lockdown. So nice when staff put themselves out for you. (Particularly Vicky.)Great Doctors in particular Dr Mana Dr zac what wonderful doctors. With the way surgery’s are today this one must be so far up the list maybe even top. Keep up the good work everyone. Thanks to all.
Parul Tyagi: They always act swiftly, never had a problem with them.
Jake -: Edited review 2023: Still the sameCurrently being offered apppointments in 8 weeks time, no wonder people don't get better. Too many patients on the books, not enough doctors. On a positive note Dr Zachariah continues to be the best doctor I've ever seen.Edited review 2022: Very poor serviceTook my 4 month old to an appointment for her jabs last month. At the same appointment we told the nurse we are concerned about her cough, we were assured that she would request a doctor appointment on the phone. Then also at the same time made the next appointment for her next course of jabs.We waited the amount of time we were told, still no call from the doctor. We chased it up, only to be told that it had never been requested by the nurse, told to try book online but they were all booked out. We eventually got one, but was a mighty hassle. Then today, 8th September was the date the nurse gave us for the 2nd appointment of jabs when we attended the original one. We arrived this morning, on my day off work, only to be told the nurse hadn't booked our 2nd jab appointment in again. Now we have to wait another 2 weeks for the jabs for our 4 months old.My fiancee has only recently swapped to this surgery after moving out of her old catchment area. She said she's only ever had problems with this one here and her old one was perfectly fine, shame we can't get us all there due to catchmentOriginal review 2021: Nonsense placeOn hold for 6 minutes, asked for a telephone appointment, woman couldn't understand what the reason i was calling for. Kept repeating to her what the health issue i was experiencing and she kept repeating it wrong. At the end of the call she said its for this reason correct, and it was completely wrong! I'll probably turn up to an appointment about an issue thats completely wrongTold there's no appointments full stop to a whole month but I can go elsewhere to another surgery?Seemingly obvious that no doctor works full time here and they're allowing patients from other surgeries to use this one if they can't be seen at their own.Useless doctors surgery, seems pointless to pay tax to not be seen.Doctors appoints are like gold dust, receptionists rude and appointment bookers useless. With wait times like this, its either get better magically by yourself or your symptoms get worse!
G P: Shocking service 🤢
wayne bewley: AvoidI wish I’d never gone to this surgery! This is a highly dangerous place ! I have suffered greatly! From mis diagnosing Withdrawal tolerance side effects to putting me on a highly dangerous medication that should have only been prescribed for a few weeks max ! Coming off such a medI only went in for restless legs!Took 2.5 years to taper and i am still not recovered! With horrendous withdrawal syndromes and a recovery period of you are lucky of 6 to 18months once off !Disgusting considering there, so called oath (I will do no harm )Edit 794 days off a med that your only supposed to be on for 4 weeksMy life is completely ruined and if I make it out of this alive I will be surprised! Assisted suicide should be legal !!! Dr Zachariah should be jailed ! This is disgusting misuse of the ability to perscribe medication and not keeping up with what these meds actually do to people
Freya A: I have been with this surgery for 10 years, and it's been fine until recently. I phoned up to make a family planning appointment in the full knowledge it would take three months to get a date, which was fine and I had planned for it. What is not fine is being told "the clinic will call you back with an appointment". That was three weeks ago. I rang reception back and they eventually admitted that the call-backs themselves operate a waiting list. Presumably if I'm at work when they call (which is likely), I start back at square 1? Why can't I just phone and get an appointment??
Rebecca Saminaden: Told me I have to wait a month for an appointment to sort my medication
Rochelle-jayne Farrier-smith: Been with this doctors a good 4 years and never had issues but over the last two years now I can never get a doctors appointment the are constantly telling me to go online the night before and when I do I go to book the appointments for it to say it’s already been booked o call the next day to be 37 in the que to be told no appointments and same thing all over again then I phone 111 for them to tell me I need a doctors appointment as there is only so much they can do or I’ve ended up in A&E as I can’t get an appointment and snow I’ve been off work 3 weeks due to this it’s rediculois I understand that the NHS are struggling but paintcent care isn’t hard
Colin M: Never have had such bad attitude from the latest receptionists especially the blondish grey haired receptionist on the right hand side, and to ring to try and get an appointment is like trying, sometimes, to get blood out of a stone, pardon the pun, but Dr's are really good when you get an appointment.
CTcreations: Disappointing experience. Didn't get any appointment for any of my calls. Always they redirect to MK Urgent care center, Now I am thinking what is the purpose of having a gp who is always redirect to urgent care (walking center). Previously when I called NHS 111 for my kid, they referred to GP and asked to connect within an hour, and GP receptionist asked me to go directly to urgent care even before asking the reason of the call. But when I reached urgent care, they said they don't have the assessment report (done by nhs 111) and that made me waiting 6 hours for the consultation.
Aimee McKay: I called this morning after being admitted into hospital for breathing issues. Had a major anxiety attack that has carried on for roughly five days. Explained this to Kate the receptionist and she was so caring and empathetic. Got an appointment same day because I can't eat or sleep. Couldn't ask for a better service!
Adrian Surchicin: Worst GP with the most rude receptionistMy 41 week pregnant wife was messaged 3 days later about her repeated sample test on a Thursday after 2 o’Clock and she couldn’t do it that day ,when she came in the today and tried to leave her sample she was 3 min late and the receptionist was extremely rude and didn’t even want to listen to her
Stephanie Birch: I don’t usually post reviews but I felt I had to seeing the bad reviews on here. I’ve not had a bad experience and have been a patient for about four years. Every time I call they are pleasant on the phone and I can always get my children in when they need to be seen if I call at 8:30am in the morning. They are clearly very busy but I think they all do a really good job!
Frederick Tadman: Have been registered since 2022 and found this surgery one of the best yet ! Thank you and good day
Jeremy Zachariah: Despite having massive workloads, the doctors at CMK have consistently gone above and beyond for me and my family. They are a credit to the NHS.Getting an appointment can be difficult but this is a wider problem with government funding of the NHS.
Emily Rose: Not the fault of the doctors or nurses!! This GP is so behind on tech. You can't easily book appointments online and the prescription request system is ancient. Some receptionists can be quite abrupt but some are nice.
Mehran Gondal: Its hard truly hard to express in words the experience i had with this GP PRACTICE and the exposure to such a mean , disgraceful and callous team of receptionists and executives. I genuinely trying and wish to erase the parts of my memory which belong to this GP's executive and receptionists . I cant even recall the experience i had with them so lets just talk about next step of you finally succeed and pass from receptionists and executives team so them The distance between a patient and doctor is minimum 30 to 60 days and if you name two problems you have to pick one and then wait for another 30,to 60 days to be able to speak about another problem . Anyway its just a vulgar joke to people in need of care .
Fatemeh Palizgar: I am pregnant and have gestational diabetes, for the second time the GP’s reception has not sent my prescription letter to the pharmacy and I am out of strips for my blood glaucus monitor. This is very annoying.
Chris Norman: Patient for over 35yrs.Always helpful kind & understanding medical team.Always recommend! Very sad to see so many bad reviews. Personally i still would recommend. All NHS workers r under a "GREAT DEAL " of pressure. Wish public would keep this in mind as they r ALL doing their best in the circumstances. @ CMK Medical Centre. Kkeep stronge my friends. 'PATIENTS' PLEASE TRY TO UNDERSTAND EVERYONE IS DOING THEIR BEST ! Updated 30/11/22

Whaddon Medical Centre: what do users think?
Shajedur Rahman: Such a disgraceful place for basic healthcare services. They seemed to have no professional manner handling people who are in vulnerable condition.First, my brother (healthcare surcharge paying international student) has been refused to get registered as his visa says he doesn’t have access to public funds. This is illegal as government regulations say gps must take pataints registered regardless their immigration status. When we show the they seemed to lost and said that they would call us back. The same happened two times with the same person but no call.Second, I had an appointment at 9:50, arrived 10 minutes earlier, checked in with the electronic system but was not called until 10:10. Then I approached to the reception. The receptionist without any sympathy said that I would be called at 10:15 and I must wait.
Shankari Mahathmakanthi: Great Practice! Fantastic clinicians and admin staff providing an excellent service to their patients and community. Thank you for all that you do!
Sammy Graves: Calling Whaddon Medical Centre gives me severe anxiety. You'll either be lucky and get a kind and compassionate receptionist, or you'll get one who doesn't seem to care and is very unhelpful.I get told there are no appointments, try again (after calling nearly every day for 3 weeks). I've been told to go to the walk in centre, which is just plain wrong. The walk in centre doesn't deal with repeat prescriptions. They don't deal in routine blood tests.I've been ignoring health problems for months at a time, because the stress it causes me to try and get an appointment is so detrimental to my mental health. Most of the doctors are great, I just don't understand why this problem has been going on for well over a year at this stage, with no improvement.Edit: I've reduced my review to one star. Things have just gotten worse over time.
Karen Wyness: Excellent professional friendly service.
kevin Mohan: Absolutely disgrace, This Medical Centre has the most rudest receptionist I've ever witnessed! They ask us to call up exactly at 8am and they say No appointments available and asking us to call back at 1:30pm and when we do they say call early morning! The ladies working at the receptionist and answering calls are absolutely disgusting, rude, arrogant human beings Ive ever witnessed especially working around vulnerable people. No remorse or any sort of humanity! I wish I could really swear but as this is a public server, i wouldn’t! I must admit the doctors are really great! I have had never issues with the doctors ONCE your able to get an appointment but the start is not good!
Brooke Williams: I was hung up on after trying to call up at 8 and now i can't get in the call queue, its so difficult to call up in the morning and now i likely won't get an appointment.
Debora Stevens: Friendly staff very helpful nurse in room 11
sandra burinskaite: Would be minus. Horrendous gp practice! had so many bad experience. Ended with child who needed antibiotics prescription without anything, had to go to hospital. One receptionist is lovely, the rest useless, disrespectful and lying about everything. Had to have newborn check and they literally don't let to book in, plus they don't sending any letters. Horrible place, avoid if you can
Madelin Claire Thackeray: I am shocked at how the reception staff treat people at this surgery and have therefore moved surgery’s because of it.
Daniel Vatamanu: If you get an appointment, which is not easy, the service after is amazing.Worst is getting an appointment but I assume every GP is lacking appointments lately.
Tim Bo: Quite possibly the worst surgery in the UK. Call and speak to them at 1 and told to call back for an appointment at 1:30. Try getting through though! At this point I'd rather be taxed less and not have to contribute to the NHS. YOU CANT GET AN APPOINTMENT!!!!
Mirela Doanca: We recently moved to this GP and I was pleasantly surprised to see how prompt and professional they are. I solved all my problems in less than 1 week, while at the previous practice I had to chase for more than 5 months and never gotten solved. Obviously the management works as it should, the staff is always helpful and friendly and they know what they're doing. Thank you for everything! You are the best!
ann boland: Always nice and very helpful very happy with this surgery
Anna Chattoe: Rarely get my prescription correct (twice in 2.5yrs), even though it's very simple and common!I always have to call again for them to rush through the correct pills. Very frustrating and possibly dangerous as I wonder how many other simple prescriptions they get wrong.Edited to add... Even their correction was wrong AGAIN 😠Can never get an appointment. I've spent over 90mins on hold to be constantly told, no appointments available. Receptionist is rude and unhelpful. I cannot wait to move.
Robbie Thompson: Absolute joke walk in to be told and almost laughed at no appointments at all this week to be asked wat is it about.as I said I'd rather not tell everyone in the room can I write it down.no.for the family next to me that can't speak English you can have an appointment later today.absolute joke went to a&e 9 days later I leave hospital with a colostomy bag so thanks for that I will be taking this to the top ok
Peter Johnston: I am one of those chaps that comes under the heading of "getting on a bit" I am not on here writing this review to either defend or criticise the NHS but simply to give praise where praise is due. My local GP at the top end of Milton Keynes thought it appropriate to send me to Whaddon Medical Centre to see a lady by the name of Mrs Linda Lomax their resident Primary respiratory care Practitioner. Now I cannot comment on other peoples experiences of this practise but mine personally were of the highest standard. The building was bright, airy, and clean, the receptionist was very helpful and pleasant. But for me the standout star of the show was Mrs Lomax. Compassionate, professional kind and caring to name but a few of her qualities. Not more I can say, other than she epitomises what the NHS stands for.
Hayley Barrick: Been trying for a couple of months now to sign up for online services and no luck. They just keep sending me new user names and passwords that do not work. Now I cannot access my NHS app. They have messed up somewhere and I cannot sort it. They will not help me. Unable to log into systmone and Airmid also
Bobby Leung: Terrible arrangement, wasted my time attending appointment was told they have made mistake, no blood test available.
Imran Ali: Joke of a surgery. You schedule a phone appointment for 10:30 and they call at 12:30. Long answering times with the receptionists pretending like they can’t hear you so they have an excuse to hang up.
Robin Westgate: This surgery is an absolute disgrace, earlier I went for an appointment at 12.45 only to be told that the nurse was ill and the appointment was cancelled. The receptionist Alex, LIED to me by telling me that a text was sent at 9.41 this morning, I have never received any such text and wasted half an hour of my time. Do yourself a favour and NEVER use this place as they are an embarrassment to our NHS.
_TAYLOR-ED_: This doctors just gets worse and worse. In the past 6 months of monthly prescriptions 5 out 6 have had missing items or not been processed at all. Often resulting in having no crucial medication for 1 to 3 days. And good luck getting an appointment too. At some point someone is going to get seriously sick or worse if noone has already..

Ashfield Medical Centre: what do users think?
Chioma Obasi: I recently visited Ashfield Medical Centre and had a highly positive experience. The receptionist was welcoming, receptive, and provided excellent assistance. I particularly appreciated the convenience of being able to self-book an appointment right at the centre. However it takes forever to get through when you call.
Kieran Willis: Update (April 20th 2023) it’s been a month since I’ve been to beanhill doctors and I can’t believe I got three different answers from three different people in the surgery. Not one doctor or physio could come up with a definitive answer. I fell on my right knee years ago in school in the winter I slipped over a frozen sandwich whilst running ever since then I’ve been having problems kneeling and leaning on it. I can’t even do a simple painting job cause of this problem. Physio said that it could be knee trauma. She was really nice about it. So I wanted a second opinion so I managed to get an appointment with Dr. Babatunde he sent me to have an mri done and suggested it could be early on-set arthritis. Result came back all clear. So my main doctor called me in to discuss results and said it’s my weight. I can’t understand how it is. Cause my bmi in school was 68.8. And now it’s 43.09. I never had problems with my knee at 68.08 but now all of a sudden it has. It baffles me how I went to surgery 3x and got told 3 different inconsistent answers. This place still gets a 1 star. Especially when my knee hurts and I get refused pills. What a joke.(Year ago review) I've been ringing since Monday gone I have made over 500 calls to Ashfield medical centre and all I kept getting was and I quote "line is busy". Good luck getting to speak to a doctor or nurse cause it won't happen and if it does it'll be too late. I find it that it's mainly the receptionist they never answer the phone and they don't care about patients they care only for money.
Wilko: Called to make an appointment, waited 27 mins for answer. To be spoken to very rude, and no appointment given. Explained that i have called everyday for over a month to get an appointment and all are taken daily.I have 3 issues that need checking 1 being an internal exam.Very disappointed and feel disrespected. How can i make an appointment to be seen ? I work 5 days a week
Ben Acraman: Really friendly and helpful staff
Gerda Zimkevičiūtė: Reception lady Terry has horrible attitude , she been shouting on me today. Well I didn't knew where I suppose to drop my sample, but lovely lady on Friday she take sample from me , and I shouldn’t drop in that bin . So madam Terry suppose to learn a bit of kindness some patients are sensitive for rude person.
Keona Hanson: horrible.me and family have been suffreing with long covid , each time we call or pop in they give an impresson of i don't care. Also drop the phone on us over 5 times very rude and poor custmerservice they deserve 0 stars if you looking to transfer ther find another one beacuse the will dissappoint you , my mum even workerd there and there were so racist please rethink going there(specially the repsiontst)
John Patrick: This is the worst doctors possible, just to let ther patients know, this surgery has over 7000 patients, legally this surgery can see 25 patients max, the reason you can't get an appointment at this doctors is because they have alot more patients than are legally allowed, it's not possible to see 7000 patients when needed, that's negligible I urge all patients to report this surgery to the local government ombudsman and if you haven't been seen within 2 weeks, put a small claim in at the civil courts, doctors have a legal duty of care to patients making them completely liable when they can't give you that care. As for the receptionist who takes he appointments, well she's about as educated as a piece of wood and clearly has a "I'm from seacroft" attitude, she's absolute council estate scum. We've had to leave this doctors so we can get appointments because this woman gives all the appointments to her own friends and family before anyone else.
james macpherson: No experience to tell , I can’t get through to them it’s a joke
Amy Hadrill-Mendo: You simply can't get appointments here. I'm not sure what their criteria is but I guess I'll just stick to going straight to urgent care center.
Francisco Cristovao: I cannot find the appropriate word to define the lack of respect of this receptionist at Ashfield Medical centre. So rude! I am definitely trying to move out from this horrible place. So Much taxes I am Paying with 2jobs and they can never provide any appropriate service. I have to fly all the time to Europe to save my health!
craig davidge: The service here is good when u can actually get seen most off the time phones are engaged over 200 calls later u might get seen needs to be a que system in place rather than having to press redial all the time
JERRY CASH TETTEH: I think Ashfield should have two phone numbers. Always busy when you want to get an appointment.
Abdul Rahimi: Can't gat oppountment all the time u call for oppountment is fully booked I ask a latter for my daughter school the charge me £20 just to say she is got allergy and eczema.
kerrie gardiner: Shocking surgery, been trying to call all week with a constant engaged tone then to be told every morning all appointments have gone! Yes I have been calling as soon as you open 8am. Right now I have been on the phone to them for over 45 mins with just a ring tone not one receptionist has answered my call!! Where are the staff!?
sherredene thornett: It is disgusting that the phones do not even get answered even on a afternoon never mind morning. something needs to be dun about this people are so fed up with this.
Stuart Wallace: I've been with Ashfield for 25 years I've never had a problem with the quality of service or access when I've needed it. The receptionists have been excellent but then I accept that they have a job to do so if I'm rude and demanding
Jonny C: Receptionist was extremely rude. Blond haired lady. How they can speak to people like that and get away with it is beyond me!
Kelly: Rude receptionist who thinks its professional to shout at you as soon as you walk through the door. Rude to everyone else that came in after too!Mouth full of food at one point whilst talking to a patient. Nice.Apart from that I had good appointment. I came for a physio appointment and the actual Physiotherapist was really nice. Very thorough and professional. Really nice lady.I'm just glad I'm actually registered at a different doctor surgery!
ruzina begum: Very low reception service and rude also sometimes. My doctor doesn't want to listen my problems properly.Actually, he has to talk to me that's why he's talking or listening my problem.I was in east London if i compare them with my previous GP.Then i would say, Be kind and helpful.Only your good Behave and help could change someone's life. And you'll get soo much blessing. ❤
Kamrul Islam: The reception service very poor and they always rude with people. Also doctors, they don't want to listen problems properly. It's like they are always in rush.I'm a care worker. I always like to help the old age people, special Child or challenging behaviour people. We love to help them and sometimes we give extra time without thinking of pay. After all we are human being and we get pay for this. So, we need to do our job properly.
Sharon Mercer: I just can't falt anyone there, the young ladies on reception outstanding 👏 they have been really really helpful 👍 as for Dr Sheikh she is absolutely brilliant she has been fantastic helping myself and my husband 😀 👏 yes sometimes it's difficult to get through but shouting at anyone does not help. ( plus the receptionist don't get paid to be abuse, ) keep up the good work

Purbeck Health Centre: what do users think?
Bobby,s Upholstery: no care
Paul Beresoae: Poor service overall. I was reading the few positives reviews and I am sure are made by the staff who are working there. Purebeck doesn’t offer a dignified service to the patients. All staff needs training for customer service, specially the receptionists. You cannot have an appointment in person, you have to insist really hard to have access to your medical records, you need to waste a full day to wait for the doctor call. They are treating you like they are making you a favour for accessing their services , like they are not paid from the public money. Don’t choose this practice .
David: It is not the reception staffs fault, but the surgery is useless. It ran like clockwork when Harry was the practice manager. Since then it has deteriorated, get a new practice manager, it could not get any worse.
Rachel Williams: Absolute joke, rang at 8.13 to be told theres no appointments left, 3 days in a row now, apparently a doctor rang in sick today & that's the reason theres no appointments so theres no other doctors then? To be told go to the walk in, erm the teachers are on strike what shall I just leave my daughter home alone then
Sydney Clack: Receptionist so rude!! No need to speak to anyone in the tone they use.
Paul McAllen: Lady on reception today is heartless. Very rude, no compassion shouldn't be in this role. Now signed up with a new GP, called and got an appointment on the day.
Natalie Ridgwell: One receptionist us very very rude and unhelpful not communicating with patients the doctors, rules regarding my illness has changed not even told by my doctor told by pain consultant. instead of just leaving your patient to think that they are not getting the right help or care from the doctors for 2 yeara maybe they need to talk to them better and give them a better understanding instead of comingacross as heartless and uncaring maybe a course in bedside manners for them both actually after leaving a complaint against the doc I got taken off the docs and told go go to diff practice 5 years after they signed a form to keep me there so if you want to be gaslight come to this doctors then this is the doctors for you told 4 years ago my tumour on neck was same as others recently found put its not after registration with another docs that's gow useless they are
Armando Sanchez: CLOWN SERVICE AT ITS BEST wake up 8AM to call for the Appointment 700 Calls 1 hour later they pick up to say they got no appointments left. And when they do give you Appointment is the nurse not the doctor that calls you back. I've been having back problem and for them 10+ weeks of back pain isn't concerning enough to refer for MRI scan so they waited till I can hardly stand up and walk to proceed with that. I'd keep away from BTEC surgery like this one I hope someone takes over and sorts this place out
Bruce McDonald: Impossible to get an appointment rude and unprofessional receptionists the worst health centre I’ve ever been unfortunate enough to have registered with !
Hands in Harmony: I just want to say I have called this surgery many times and spoken to Claire who is totally amazing and has helped us so much in dealing with a very difficult situation, she has gone above and beyond throughout the whole ordeal. Many thanks to you Claire !
Linzi C: This surgery is an absolute joke, can never get through at 8 am, when I do no call backs. CANNOT get any appointments at all. I'm disabled and have chronic pain and I'm left to deal it on my own. Never had these issues prior to Covid-19 and now it's ridiculous. They say the only difference is now they have their doors closed, but I used to be able to book appointments ahead and now you CAN'T book any Dr appointments without a call back first and trying to get a call back is almost impossible. Don't even bother registering with them they are useless 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️
Pierre Storey: As all people say here absolutely disgusting. The staff talk to you like your a piece of dirt and give off a foul attitude. They tell you to call at 8am but they take the phones off the hook 😒 Spent 80 phonecalls and when I got thru at 8:19 they said straight away your best to go walk in as we have no appointments. You can't even call during the day or at anytime to book one rather than pray you can reach them on the phone at 8am bear in mind they have the phones off the hooks so you get a busy tone...WORST GP IN MILTON KEYENS. WE WILL BE REMOVING OURSELFS AND FINDING ANOTHER PLACE THAT HAS STAFF who care for not only there patients but enjoy there job role. Its noted the manager is working from home still so its clear there is absolutely no management taking care of the shambles going on inside the GP.
Jamie Brown: Attitude towards mental health from this place is disgusting, impossible to get an appointment unless you have more than 1 person trying to call in with you. Reception staff have always been nothing but rude whenever I get through. 1 star isn’t low enough
Steph: Horrible GP practice and not very nice staff either, you will likely never get an appointment to see a doctor or nurse here. You are told to ring at 8am to make your appointment it either goes to answer phone, you get hung up on or no answer. If by chance you do get through you will be greeted with the classic line ‘ There’s no more appointments for today ring back tomorrow at 8am.’ You can’t make any appointments for the future either it’s really luck of the draw at 8am to get an appointment on that day. I also had a situation where my prescription was handed over to someone else, this someone ended up to my house walking in on my confused grandmother questioning her about her medicine pretending she was a nurse. When we confronted the GP surgery they shrugged it off and said ‘no one was harmed so it’s fine’. So I guess that means data breach is fine now is it? This surgery was terrible before COVID-19 but if anyone has milked the COVID-19 situation to its limits then it’s purbeck health centre.
Leoni Smith: Imagine getting a doctors appointment.I've been trying to book an appointment here since March 2021. I call everyday at 8am the likes are busy, when I do get through I am hung up on. The doctors are also god awful. Register anywhere else if you can.
abraham elfasi: i am writing this review in the name of my partner whom is a cancer patient.to get an appointment with the doctor one needs to start calling a constantly busy line from 8am , by 9;30am- she managed to get through- only to be told that she can have a doctors appointment on the phone -at any time of the day - the doctor will make only one attempt to get in touch.the most insensitive GP told my partner that he cant be bothered to follow on with her cancer treatments- by saying "i dont have time for that""you have too many problems". what a... Milton Keynes University Hospital: what do users think?
Keith Rattray: Maple Clinic is such a reassuring part of the hospital care. Everyone is helpful, friendly and approachable particularly Elenor, Mimi, Lettie, Drs Yusaf Patrick and Robin Kearney. They have infinite patience and understanding. Thank you all so much
Silmara Capito: I went on Saturday at 3 am , with toothpain , it was quiet, no one patient there, the receptionist asked my data, and moved to an other side to measure my temperature and pressure, after that said to wait they would call on the screen my name, less the 5 minutes the doctor called my name, she asked what I was feeling, how long that, said they didn’t have dentistry, but requested to I open my mouth and saw the tooth, asked wich drug I had took, I said paracetamol and ibuprofen, and she said it would not solve, and then prescribed 2 painkillers, and said I could get it in all chemist in Milton Keynes , and suggested to find a dentist as soon as possible to solve the tooth, I was really feeling pain, the only negative point as foreign is : why has not medication in the hospital or chemist open 24 h there?
Martyn Slater: I wanted to let everyone know I accepted liability in my case MS v Milton Keynes hospital on the 25/05/23… I’ve figured out I have a personality disorder (BPD) and under extreme stress I disconnect and go psychotic and that’s what happened and I was looking to pass the blame… thank you for helping me
Ness: *UPDATE* PALS complaint was put in in May 2022. PHSO have told me that they responded to this complaint in August 2022 however I never received their response. I've been waiting to hear back from PHSO since Feb 2023 now.Awful hospital. Just don't go here.Gynaecology main number never answer the phones. Service is appalling, dismissive doctors. After basically killing me in what should have been a routine surgery they provide an "investigation" of the matter on a 2 page (1 paragraph) document. Disgusting. The only people who should get pay rises at this hospital are the nurses, porters, kitchen and cleaning staff. Will be writing a detailed complaint to PALS as soon as possible.I haven't heard anything good about this hospital from people's relatives and friends who have had 'care' there.
doug futers: I had a steroid injection yesterday in the Main X-Ray department, it’s worked 100% I’m so happy
John Reilly: A/E was a trial my wife and I spent 12 hours there. We put up with it stoically because it was obvious the hospital was very busy. (Tues 9/5). She was triaged and was having treatment while there. We also had a couple of consultations with a doctor. My wife ended up staying for 4 days. Overall staff , care, food and drink all excellent. The only confusing thing is all the different coloured uniforms as it would be nice to know who your dealing with.
Missy Reviews UK (LuLuVlogs): A few days ago I was reading my GP medical records, and I noticed multiple letters from Consultant Neurologist Dr Richard Butterworth, labelling me with a Psychiatric and Psychological illness, without medical evidence. He sent multiple letters to my GP, Cardiologist, and Neurologist. I was not copied into the letter I was unaware of this Consultant diagnosis. I’m shocked, his opinion is negligent. I have reported this Consultant to the Complaints Department, GMC, and PHSO.I have requested the letters are removed from my medical records immediately.None of the other Consultants at the Trust have diagnosed psychiatric and psychological illness.I hope this will be resolved soon 😞 🤦‍♀️
Zuzanna Tracz: I waited 5 hours in the emergency department just to be sent to the urgent help, where I waited another 4 hours with no one really telling me what was going on, despite my severe pain. No one told me what am I waiting for or for how about long is it going to be. People who came in after me were given help before, and when I asked why was it so I did not get any answer, since the nurse started “answering” when I was in the middle of my question. At the end I ended up with anxiety attack caused by severe pain, lack of food and stress. I would not recommend anyone to come in there EVER. 1 star is waaay to much. The most traumatic experience of my life.
Wahidur Rahman: MINUS ZERO STARS! Shocking experience at this hospital. O courtesy or care at all. The midwifes are appalling and miserable. My wife had the worst treatment ever whilst giving birth. We were left at the labour ward for hours after giving birth with no one checking on my wife or the baby. We had to call midwifes to check our babies temperature ( they were rude). Without our consent or knowledge they got a trainee midwife to stitch up my wife WITHOUT any anaesthetic. Few minutes of stitching up took an hour as the main midwife was instructing the trainee who was getting it wrong. For 45 minutes my wife went through agony worse then birth it self. The screams are still in my ear! I controlled my anger so my wife could make it through. I have never seen anything like this! I am baffled to how the stitching up was worse then giving birth. I am all for training new midwifes but do this with patients that give consent and someone that has taken epidural. When we spoke up the main midwife took over and finished the stitching in few minutes. It was like my wife was their guinea pig doing trail and error. Maybe they didnt like us as we are asian. My wifes pain and agony was worse then when she gave birth. We had our first baby in London so we know the difference in service. This was unbelievably poor. We had to ask for everything like checking our babies temperature to giving us milk. Gave birth at 12:40pm and was still in labour ward without anyone checking us until 9pm (have evidence) without food or water! Until i went out to complain then all of a sudden it was first class service. The lead sister was here trying to listen now all of sudden when i made a scene (she was rude earlier) Name Becky Hobbs. I let them know that i will be making a formal complaint maybe thats why their attitude changed. The midwife that was assisting with the birth came to see us at the end name Sarah. We asked her if she could assist us with dressing our new born. Her reply was “my shift is finished” . I couldn’t believe my eyes and shes a midwife. By the evening we got a midwife covering from maternity ward who was so lovely. She manages the maternity ward. If only all midwifes were like her. Forgotten her name but very bubbly person, informative, caring and helpful. She needs recognition. More midwifes like her is needed at this hospital. Hospital requires quality checks on the way they treat their patients. This is just a review and so long the complaint is going to be even longer. I hope no one has to go through what we went through ever!
Moka Plays: Not particularly impressed with Ward 23. My friend got hit by a car, resulting in 2 broken arms and a broken leg amongst a few other things. I have visited him near every day since admittance 5/6 weeks ago and the care he has been receiving is an absolutejoke. He keeps waiting 3+ hours for liquid medication when his pain level is going up as his shattered shoulder is trying to heal. I've physically heard nurses tell him to do (insert task here) himself when he's not physically able to, because "he did it earlier"... Yes because you keep telling him to "be more independent" despite him not being able to do the task without severe pain. Speaking of discharge even though he can't even lift a cup of water. Not helping him eat because he could scratch his chin, no thats not how it works. Waiting nearly 2 hrs to help when he needed the bathroom is far from acceptable. He's not an unreasonable patient, he's a polite man and it's just awful to see nurses who obviously don't want to be there. Don't stay there if you're going to provide sub-par care! I will be filling a more formal complaint because it's disgusting to see a man with 2 broken arms being told to do X, Y and Z that require the use of his arms when he cannot.
Aranab Ray: My wife had a Planned C section at MKUH on 29th March and we were a bit antsy about the facilities and arrangements based on the feedback from those who had first hand experience at the hospital. On the D day we arrived in time and to our pleasant surprise everything was so meticulously planned and orchestrated that I must say this hospital has the best in class facilities and the world’s best staff. The mid wives deserve special mention and each one of them made our stay at the hospital wonderful. Two points of improvement: 1. The staff to patient ratio can be improved as otherwise there is an extremely heavy burden in the already strained staff members. 2. Most of the patients( vaginal birth as well as c section) who were operated had post operative infection and antibiotics were started a bit late. It would be better if antibiotics are started as a preventive measure just after the operation as this would arrest any infection early. Probably this needs a professional review. I am suggesting based on what I witnessed.kudos once again to the great staff and hats off to the midwives.
Kathy Burnell: I was only in overnight but this is giving the opportunity to say this hospital ranks at the top .All staff are kind and understanding .I have been an outpatient ,had day surgery and an in patient for knee op,at all times the staff were lovely .With all the NHS has to contend with ,this hospital is excellent .
Jim: My Elderly mother was treated in the most appalling way by a Heomatolgist who never even wished to see her. My mother provided private blood test results to her NHS GP in order for him to refer to a Heomatolgist for suspected Multiple Myeloma. The Heomatolgist wrote back to my mother's GP and issued advice to look for Melononma but she did not request to see my mother in clinic prior to issuing inaccurate and dangerous advice for the wrong medical condition. (The blood test to which the Heomatologist issued advice on was a Myeloma Screen). A concern was raised with PALS and the Heomatolgist made an appointment to see my mother but refused to arrange tests that would rule out Multiple Myeloma. A Formal Complaint was submitted by my mother on 27th June 2022 as the Heomatolgist interfered in my mother's prescribed medications while at the same time refusing to see my mother in her clinic. The Complaint was acknowledged as is evidenced in this photo by the Complaints Manager but as of April 2023, No written response has been received. Any contact I've had with the hospital to chase up progress has been met with denial of any complaint they were aware of.
Antony Lamb: George Tenovici the most kindest and most understanding Surgeon you can ask for. For someone who struggles with awful anxiety and pulled out of the surgery on the a few occasions George was very supportive towards me. Due to my anxiety and the consultations I had with George I could only let him do the surgery, so when the hospital reallocated me to another consultant it was extremely tough so George stepped back in and he did the surgery for me. I am extremely grateful the way he looked after me and supported me over the last year and the way he cared for me during my surgery and before hand. I remember before going to under for thr surgery he rubbing my arm saying everything will be ok. I wouldn't of had this surgery without him and can't thank him enough. Highly recommended for patients who struggle with mental health
Julia Cave: Recently had knee replacement surgery here. Lovely caring staff, nothing was too much trouble and the care was second to none. First follow up appointment today, and again the best experience. I cannot fault this hospital, they are the best!
Duke Toastey of Towcester: Been here a few times AandE is good, people are friendly, however this place clearly needs better funding.Edit: 03/2023After visiting this place for an emergency surgery in which I had to stay for 2 nights I have to say that the staff on the wards where extremely understanding and patience with everyone, they took time to explain the surgery’s and risks as well as assistance with recovery.
Donna Clift: Hi I've been in this hospital a good few times and I would go back again, they really look after you x
Selina: Absolutely awful place, i was taken into ane yesterday by 2 lovely ambulance crew who were sent by 111 due to a severely distended abdomen, in absolute agony and suffering despite being on long term very strong pain relief for other conditions that wasn’t helping this pain.I have a history of specialist diagnosed complex medical conditions and problems ( which Mk hospital have negligently missed over the years and I’ve had to be seen by tertiary more specialist hospitals in Oxford and London to get the right diagnosis and care) which could cause the pain if in a severe flare or other conditions linked with it.I sat for 6 hours almost to be told loudly and aggressively by the vile ane dr there was nothing wrong with me I had no medical conditions in general and there was nothing wrong with me today despite the agony and distended abdomen and pain under my left rib running into my back.He also snapped at me that despite medical proof, that my conditions were my opinion as was me saying he was being dismissive despite medical proof of my conditions being given in by the ambulance crew and unnecessarily rude to me.He also then proceeded to tell me that unless I was going to literally drop dead in the next 3 minutes or need to be in theatre right now this second that I don’t need to be here.He then oddly told me he would stand up in court and state the fact I have no medical conditions as far as he is concerned - left me in tears to be told I have nothing medically wrong with me when I have and to be dismissed and made out to be a fantasist.I avoid Mk hospital ane like the plague normally now before this because of the way they are dismissive even to the point my cardiologist at mk has had to write me a clear and strict care plan to use when needing to come to ane to avoid me being fobbed off and yet I was subjected to this abuse and dismissive rude attitude yesterday.I fully intend to take this further with the cqc, gmc, legally if needs be and to go to the papers if I have to because these sort of so called professionals need to be held to account for making false allegations and demeaning statements towards patients and being dismissive rude and abusive - at the very least I want a full in person and written apology from this rude individual and full in person and written acknowledgment that he is wrong and acknowledgment by him and the hospital I do have these conditions I have been diagnosed with and assurances I won’t ever be spoken to and treated like that ever again. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
Pep Gov: Ambulance come as my heart was racing due to my antipsychotics. Ambulance said I had to go hospital. Doctors were amazing!! Was told to stay to see a specialist, but due to my mental state I ran off. Wish I had of stayed now. What a great service at A&E
Jah Kevo: This was the worst experience I had in a hospital I hated been in this hospital from the day I was admitted. The maternity service department and the antenatal labour ward are a joke. The care was horrible, with no staff to look after the patients I understand there’s no enough staff in the NHS but surely reassurance would have attributed to our anxiety. I got admitted at 6pm and the first midwife to attend to me was at 11pm!! Having had inductions paused in between for more than 24 hours because of no staff and lack of proper effective communication. How can an expectant woman have her second prostin inserted at 10am and not be reviewed until after 24 hours because of lack of staff. I mean this staff don’t expect us to go and baby sit the beds it’s better to leave us stay at home than make us feel so frustrated whilst in the hospitals. More over they had cancelled the induction dates for more than twice before accepting to admit me. There’s was Only one consultant to review all the women in antenatal, postnatal and labour ward from Wednesday till Saturday. On top of that Mixing antenatal patients together with postnatal patients in the same ward and bays was not good enough and to make it worse transferring induction patients into triage area where other women are coming in and out with complications. It was traumatic to even think I will be next because they didn’t even monitor the baby for more than 12 hours at one point and with no doctor to review for more than 24 hours.Don't get me wrong one or two midwives were caring but others even forgot that patients need to be fed, informed of their care, some were even very racist with no empathy like midwife Louisa from CMK Avebury community who never made it easy for us.I personally encountered some times where I thought why she is so horrible and yet allowed to work in such a department. To a point where when you try to explain to her certain things she says you are lying as a patient. I just wish she will never have to be in such a situation where she will receive the nasty care she delivers to people especially from minority communities. In short I wouldn’t recommend Milton Keynes maternity department to anyone I have shared my horrible experience and many people have stated it’s been horrible like this for ages with even worse outcomes . Someone needs to take action and change this.
Wai King Lee: May I have more information about Cholesteatoma? My son is twelve years old now.
