Specsavers Opticians and Audiologists - Milton Keynes: what do users think?
Simon Orme: Great service and very friendly staff.
Jessica Houtby: Would be less than one star if I could. Charged £25 for the privilege of someone telling me I don't need earwax removal when the doctor said I did. Literally a 1 min conversation. Didnt even do an ear test/check. Total waste of money and time. I think you can get earwax removal on the NHS for free. Do not bother doing it with Specsavers!
Joanna Frank: ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC service!!! I went a little while ago last Tuesday - 16/05/23 for my eye test, the guy who did it was great with me! Was very understanding when I needed my mum with me due to my autism, and allowed that to happen! He explained the eye test well! They were all very friendly staff and then Ainslynn (the ginger girl) was very good with me aswell and sorted out my glasses, explained the pricing well and explained the glasses well! I will be coming back for future eye tests.I picked up my glasses today (24/05/23) and ainslynn happened to be there giving me my glasses, again very good explanations and advice! I am extremely happy with my glasses!!!
Retro_hub166: Very helpful and professional
Lord Debrick: Great staff and an amazing service...
Victoria Moore: Friendly staff, very helpful with answering queries. For me good choice of frames.
Hamed Salami: Members of staff were very courteous, nice, and really throughout my visit. Service was quite efficient, I didn't have to wait too long.
Andrew Turnbull: Recently had my eyes tested and ordered two pairs of glasses which arrived on time and were ready to pick up as agreed. Fitted well and were given some minor adjustments for a perfect fit. Overall excellent service.
George Cooling: Very good service would recommend them
M B: Extremely professional and helpful staff. Paulina helped me choose new glasses and had a good eye for what would suit me. Ordered my new glasses after my eye test and left feeling taken care of.
Margaret Kerr: First class
Derek Jones: What an absolute farce!? I recently took my specs in to have one of the hinges replaced. After a 30 min wait, I was told (by Shayla) that one of the temples would need to be replaced but as they didn't have one to match in stock, they could only actually offer replacement frames (£50) and fit my existing varifocal lenses to them. Agreeing to this (and paying), I was advised it would take 3-5 days and that they would call me once my glasses were ready for being picked-up.Having not heard anything after 14-days, I was in MK city centre so called-in to find out what was going-on. After a 25 min wait (noting the many unoccupied CS people milling about), my new frames were duly located but they were still fitted with plain lenses instead of my originals. The lady looking-after me then seemed to become rather uncomfortable for some reason and soon excused herself, saying she needed to involve a manager - but without indicating why. A chap (ID badge: John Houldey - dispensing optician) took over and duly informed me that, as they didn't have my original frames & lenses - and because there was no note on the document accompanying the new frames saying otherwise, he asserted I "must have taken them away with me!" Three times I assured him I had left them at the store and three (further) times he insisted I must have taken them away with me before he said "we've come to a full stop then" and that he's "not sure whether he can help me". After I told him I certainly hadn't reached a full stop, that his statement was unacceptable and that I insisted he/ Specsavers take responsibility for the loss, he then denied saying he wouldn't take responsibility and that I "need to calm down". I told him I was actually quite calm but that he still needed to come up with a solution and sort the problem out. He then told me he "needed to conduct further investigations" and that he would call me later that afternoon, ideally with a solution but at least with a progress report. I didn't actually get a call until the following day, and it was from someone called Saj, who left a message saying they'd ordered new lenses and - yes, you've guessed it - my "glasses would be ready to be picked-up in (another) 10-14 days". Arrrrrggh!!Imagine how amazed/ irritated/ bemused I was when I got another message the following day (yesterday) to say "your glasses are now ready to be picked-up"!!!I've been back in today (still had a 15+ mins wait but hey-ho!) Amber (who's really good) looked after me and I now have a brand new / fully repaired pair of specs! Hooray! ... But did I really have to go through all this messing about?? Has the business no idea how poorly their CS employees are handling their customers? The impression given was that the guy who dealt with me was a "try on" merchant who was prepared to say absolutely anything to avoid admitting a mistake had been made by one of his staff, and instead was quite forcefully - and rudely - trying to lump the responsibility on me as the customer.AVOID!
Mehtap Osman: I am very happy with my new glasses.
Mary: Always good service here - can't complain
henry Osemwegie: Good and wonderful vision
Senthilkumar Palanisamy: Excellent species and good quality of glass
Chris Stallwood: Now I can with my new glasses very affordable
Sarah Yates: Always very helpful, great contact lenses schemes which give you discounts on glasses too
Roger Churm: Very efficient
o sola: Went there on an appointment with a family member and it was promt service, kind people
Jan Bagley: I was made to feel very welcome as soon as I walked until I left. I was also very pleased with the choi e of frames.

Boots Opticians: what do users think?
Amy H: Waiting time is horrendous! Never ever seen on time even there is only three customers around. There are more than eight staffs walk around and completely ignore you are there. I can see that this store is completely losing their customers with awful customer services. The store is getting much quieter and less customers in.
Judi Vipers: Amazing amazing serviceMine was a complicated one but all staff gave 110% to help meThank you so much x
John Smith: Useless
K B (Clanger): Absolute incompetence. Received missed call from them while unable to answer phone (no message or text left). Received a second call while driving so again could not answer. Again no voicemail or text. Checked internet to ascertain closing time before calling back ... stated 8pm and was now ~19h00, so I called because I had an appointment the following day and would be very angry if I drove all the way and it had been cancelled. Answering machine kept repeating 'hold as your call is important to us'. Waited almost an hour with no response.Called again at 09h30 a.m. Phone rings continuously (hung up after 10 minutes) Subsequently found that the number that had called me was for Boots head office to apparently give a courtesy call WHAT ABJECT INCOMPETENCE no message, no text, repeated calls leading to worry and distress, never answer the phone, phone message when calling them and holding does not say 'we are closed' it keeps you hanging on ....AND IT GETS WORSE ... A week AFTER my appointment and placement of order for my glasses, I get another unanswered call (yet again, no voicemail and no text). On calling back, I find it is (you guessed it!) Boots Opticians and they say they are calling to ask if I would like to make an appointment for an eye test!!!! Suggest do not use their services because if that is the degree of competence how do you know you will get the glasses you need?!
jim rogers: I broke my only pair and knew they weren't fixable...Went to Boots MK and they were brilliant!!!From the guy (beard and glasses) who first helped me to the lovely lady who sorted me out (blond hair, glasses and a great personality and smile) They made my panic disappear. The lady in question was so professional but in equal measure so lovely too (wish I could remember her name) I was turned from the above panic into someone that was very, very happy. And that's from someone who is wearing off the shelf reading glasses at the moment, is waiting on a fitting, and a contact lens consultation.Well done Boots and especially the lady who was so good and so patient with all my questions!!!Brilliant...
paul naudo: Awful service, never ever seen on time, seems like there are enough staff but all wandering around ignoring customers no one ever answers the phone proving what they think of customers..I will be moving our boys from here asap.
P Seymour: The wait is horrendous! The staff can see you waiting at the counter and completely ignore you. Someone then rocks up after a while and then there's another wait. Either understaffed, demotivated or both!
Hayley Bright: Would seriously not recommend. Had a lady (tied blonde hair and glasses) stare at me and smirk when I looked back as she was walking past then asked the man who was adjusting my glasses if 'I was a child' and had a seemingly rude and judgemental attitude. Made me very uncomfortable - she was not serving me so it was none of her business what my age was, should be more focused on doing her own job instead for the customers who were waiting!Speaking of, wait times are terrible - have to wait almost half an hour just to collect glasses. On the day I had my eye test, was there for up to an hour and half (granted I spent a bit of time picking frames but had to wait quite a while to speak to someone about them). Some staff are nice, like the ladies who did my eye test, just depends on the day you come in and who's working there. Make sure you have at least an hour free if you do decide to go there and hope you don't have to extend your car's parking time.So much upselling as well, trying to get you to spend a fortune on their glasses despite the poor service. They didn't do a good job equally bending my frames despite me needing to ask for multiple adjustments until I was told to give it at least three days and come in again if there was any issues and change my frames if I need to (did get good advice on which ones would be ideal for me as well). At least the man thanked me for my patience and he was lovely enough (tolerated my impatience father so I respect him for that). But try and find a better place if you can, even ASDA opticians would be better than this!
Colin Gray: You’ll be hard pushed to find worse service. Appointments times are merely for guidance. You’re guaranteed at least a 15 minute wait. Staff are like timid nice scurrying around trying to avoid having to speak to customers. More a place to hang out if you have nothing better to do than a professional opticians for people with busy schedules
Sharon Shires: My partners glasses had broken somehow during the night and they were impossible to repair, he is practically blind without glasses. He went to specsavers who were unsympathetic and very curt with him, offering no assistance except for an eye test a month later which was no good to him, not being able to work or do anything. So we went to boots opticians to see if they could help. They were extremely sympathetic and managed to put his lenses into a spare pair of frames. We had a little but of a wait but that was because customers with appointments were seen first but it was no problem, we understood. The technician was backwards and forwards trying to find frames that fit. He did an excellent job and didnt even charge him a penny!. Also, my partner had an appointment with them two days later! No pressure selling either and a lovely friendly service.Boots has gained 2 customers and specsavers have lost 2 loyal customers
Hannah Craik: Exceptional customer service! The frame of my glasses broke a week before my eye test, and without question they replaced the frame for me very quickly. Would definitely recommend
Vivien Boros: One of the worst customer service I ever experienced. I needed new glasses so I was going there to look at some frames, they started with well I can look but they have no appointments in the next month so I said okay I'll still look at the frames I can buy one and get the prescription somewhere else so from there they did not even want to look at me... I still bought frames from there as it's really rare I find one that fits perfectly but I had to wait around for a long time for someone to open the cabinet to try on a couple of frames. They also had no case for the frames so I ended up spending £200 there and still being treated badly...I went to a different company and got my test in for the same day as there was a cancellation and they were super helpful. Boots Opticians missed out on £300 and I definitely will never go there again!
Carly M: They never answer the phone. I thought mid pandemic this maybe due to reduced staff but this week I've called 11 times to confirm the time of my appointment that I booked months ago and they have not answered once.I even called the main store to get a message to them to call me and still nothing.
Andrew Plant: Sent in appropriate marketing letter.Phoned the Boots national telephone number on the sheet, person was very rude.I just wanted to get my house details taken down from the marketing. The Boots national telephone people put so many restrictions - their name, dob, my name, my DOB.Awful.Phoned the shop. Totally different and understanding. House now off their annual register. What has all this nonsense achieved? That I'll never go to Boots Opticians for an eye test. That is what direct marketing does in the 2020s - a real turn off.Paperless communication and save the planet.
Val Howe: why do they never answer the phone have been trying all week to contact them very poor customer service
Pat Daly: Waiting an hour for them to answer the phone
Jules MK: Cannot fault this place! The eye test was throughly and professionally done, followed by a consultation with a delightful member of staff who very patiently guided me as I chose my glasses. Upon collection, Boots took real care to ensure that I was happy with the new glasses. Prices were reasonable and a good choice. Would highly recommend.
Beauty Gadgets Hub online beauty shop: I really liked the way I was served. I broke my glasses just before my new test was due, so I needed to have them back or get new ones asap as I can't drive without glasses in the night. I didn't have to wait for long, I got a comprehensive eye check, glasses were ready even earlier and practitioner that tested my eye even reminded me about discount for the second pair that I could get within those 3 days. So I could save 50%.
Marisa H: This is not a business it is an incompetence machine. Premium customer service highlights below:Disorganized - always have to wait while they scramble around to find either the contacts or glasses I have ordered. Sometime this went on for 15 minutes. It's like they never know where anything is.Lack of communication - a team of scatter brains or they simply don't care about your time. Whether they keep you waiting while they scramble around or have you come in to collect something and then tell you can't have it because of X. Something they should have inform you when asking you to come in, this happened twice.they have several student opticians as well, yes, they need to learn but if you give permission to having the student do your eye exam, they will take a long time and it will then have to be done again (checked) by the optician.Unless you have a lot of time to burn, find another optician practice.
Rhys Clark: They never answer the phones!! been trying all morning

Vision Express Opticians - Milton Keynes: what do users think?
Lenka B: Horrible place. Made appointment for an eye test for my daughter. Made me wait 40 mins (imagine kid dusting still that long… no chance) so was a total nightmare. Was assigned new staff who was not properly trained, computer didn’t work properly either. Got out at last 2 hrs later. NEVER AGAIN.Edit: requested receipt via email two weeks ago and still haven’t received it. I’ve had a reply from main office that they passed it on to the local branch but no further comms received.
david ho: I appreciate their sincere and positive working attitude towards my questions.
Edgars Svencis: Excellent(beast)service..excellent(beast)team! I only cooperate with Vision Express, because the price and quality are the best.
Iva Ang: Awful customer service, I will never return to Vision Express.
Dr Asma Masood: My husband Ordered glasses on 8/4/23 as we have a function on 22/4/23 , when he went today to pick the glasses they send some other frame. V disappointed. They don’t bother to say sorry, Hope someone from company will reply and try to send the ordered pair before Saturday.

Andre Muke Fundanga: All my appreciation to you guys. Very good services
Joanna Frank: Disappointing service from the optician Cajal! Never returning again as I was very angry, no clue on autism and needs autism training! However I'm giving two stars because dawn who was helping me with my glasses was very helpful , understanding and understanding of my needs and explained to me about the anti glares and the prices so I rate her for that and was very kind to me which is what I deserve, I would say she was very good with me, but I still won't be returning...
Laura Faulkner: Optician and the advisor who helped me were friendly, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. I was extremely impressed with the service I received.
Nigel Roberts: No problem with my new glasses, so far they seem really good. Despite this, I found the service level and staff interaction very cold. Staff were professional but I didn't get impression they really cared. I suppose I'm whinging but with a but more warm and care this could be an excellent shop
Ben Hudson: Bloody awful service. Over two different days, two weeks apart, three visits and an easy total of 1h30m spent in there. No one approached, no assistance offered. Didn't matter how much I looked around for it, tried countless frames on and not to mention looking at the most expensive frames. No chance I'd spend money here.
Krista Collins: Really helpful staff and very knowlegable.
Henrietta Osuji: Amazing!!! My eyes was thoroughly checked by a wonderful optician that has passion on his job. Very professional as he explained everything clearly in clear and concise manner. It was a great visit. Thank you so much vision express 😊
