Talbot Inn Milton Keynes: what do users think?
Jayne Borland: Lovely meal and very good service from Kath and Jane. Nothing was to much trouble and very helpful and polite. Would recomend the talbot.
Jen “Crazycatlady”: First time I have visited and so glad we did. They have the best selections of starters for a tapas style lunch in Mk. Prices were really reasonable aswell.Think I can honestly say, hand on heart, the nachos are the best I have had in a good few years!!! No expenses spared on any of the toppings.Presentation of the food was appealing, and the service was quick. Quality wasnt comprimised as you could taste how fresh it was. Will be returning!
Stephen: £1 off a pint of real ale on mondays and 40% off mains makes for a very good value brothers' night out. Along with great food and service, we ate and drank very good pub fayre indeed.
Neil: Have lived near this pub for over 20 years and never had a reason to complain as a neighbourAs a Customer the staff and food have always been greatAlways happy to go back for a drink or family meal
Kanchan Lad: Staff was unwelcoming and cold. Food was good and so if the location but how can you enjoy when the lady who serves makes you feel like she doesn't even want you there. I see that a lot of people have shared this feedback about the staff but clearly it's hasn't been heard or worked on. I would love to go back but only after the staff smile (even if it's fake!) to welcome new customers. I remember waiting for my turn to order a drink but the old lady at the bar ignored me and asked the regular customer to order. That's rude.
Zoe Collins: Staff I have to say were all wonderful. BUT the food was awful. I was so disappointed. Frozen roast potatoes and frozen chips, to me is not what i expect to eat if I go out. The steak was tough too. Won’t come back I’m afraid.
john belkevitz: Staff amazing nice friendly family pub food always very good
Stephen Crockett: Staff were very friendly and welcoming would recommend this restaurant
Tracy Griffin: Popped in for a drink. It has been redecorated since last I was in. It's lovely and fresh.

ian collier: Good prices on their beer friendly staff and live music
Rodney Price: Great atmosphere in this busy pub enjoyed the excellent live band, gasoline.
tantalus 2000: Not a bad place to start off in if you're planning a night out in Stony Stratford. There's plenty of TV's for the football fans and on my visit they were showing at least 3 separate games which was great for choice. Liked the decor and enjoyed sitting outside for a smoke watching the people of Stony Stratford go by.
Gary jarmin: Great place...have been back 3 times..lol
Joseph O'Halloran: Poor choice of ales. Old out dated range of beers. Tired decor. Smelly toilets. Nice polite staff though.

Ken Arkell: Lovely walk along the canal for a Sunday roast. Delicious food! 😊Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Dennis O'Gara: Lovely pub great location. Really nice food and service
James Wagstaff: Clean and tidy. Very smart after the refurb! Shame the flagstone floor is gone. Nice for a pint but no sun in the evening.
Ping Yang: The food is not as good as expected. fried shrimps are dry. We are two ladies, ordered a shared platter, which was described to have about 1900 kcal, but the quantity seems on the low side.
Rosemary Drury: Amazing meal, lovely service. Would highly recommend.
Mark Q: Great location - EXCELLENT service - but the food was very disappointing. I assume this was a bad day - because have been here before and food was top notch.Starters - I had Calamari - but it was overcooked and rubbery. I had a Trio Roast - potatoes way over cooked and only 4 small potatoes, turkey very dry and roast beef leathery - the pork however was excellent - the veg cam on the side and unfortunately the string beans were also way overcooked. We were a party of 5 and only my nephew who had a burger enjoyed his food. All said & done I will give them another try as the service was excellent and it such a lovely venue - we all have off days!
Rod James: Parking great - standard of pub outstanding - very welcoming & friendly service - the whole experience was brilliant - we had starter & main course very hard to find any fault as cooked to highest standard at very reasonable prices
Yoshihiro Nezu: とても美味しいイギリスの伝統料理が楽しめるお店です。Fish and Chips も美味しい。お店の雰囲気も、お店のスタッフも親切でお勧めのお店です。
Marco Canessa: Lovely pub!
Ken Robinson: We had to adjust our arrival to a later booking, this was accommodated for us with no issue. We enjoyed a meal for four people, starters, mains and pudding. We also had drinks. Our table host changed midway as shifts changed, but both were extremely attentive and were happy to chat and ensure we ordered the correct items and drinks - as we had changed our initial requests once or twice, this was accepted without issue and with good grace. We would recommend.
Stephen Dixon: Atmosphere was nice and welcoming. Food left a lot to be desired. Would go back for a drink but not to eat.
Paul Turnbull: Nice day,so we sat outside, food was nice,l had the caesar salad any friend had salmon fish cakes with salad etc.,Pot of tea on hand aswell
Abigail Murdock: Had a lovely afternoon, we were able to take dogs and the food was perfect. Staff very efficient and friendly.
Gitte Harper: We love coming to The Barge, because of the atmosphere & the friendly staff. But until last sat we've not eaten there, that was a massive disappointment & I'd only give it a 1 out of 10!The so-called triple cooked chips & crispy battered fish, we're neither. In fact it was just like eating a soggy frozen-cooked fish and freezer chips. Our son had the barge STEAK burger, omg it was awful and also 1 out of 10! Dry bread & dry burger. Not only that, you charge astronomical amount of money for a meal that only was worth a fiver. On the day we didn't have the energy to complain as my husband had just lost his dad & this was the last thing we needed. We will come back for drinks, but until the food improves, we won't be eating there again.Gitte
Martyn Warsop: Our waitress was very efficient and friendly..also aware of our nuisance vegan! .drinks were served promptly as we selected food : that arrived in good timeVery happy and absolutely nothing left!
meri moreno: Really bad serviceWe had to wait 1.30 h for our food. Our pies of the day could do with a bit of more temperature. 2 pizzas were cold, fish was very oily and chips hard. We did not enjoy the visit.
Carlos Paños: How very disappointing, come here for a nice lunch with the family, only to experience long waits for cold food and drinks. The fish in the fish and chips was oily, and the chips were stodgy. The pie was not hot enough. The pizzas were also cold. Drinks took too long. Real shame since we've come here many times, and it's always been good. At least the waitress was nice.
Sue Mccann: Had to wait about 15 minutes for a table as it was very busy and that was OK. The staff were considerate of my dad who is coming 90 years old and unsteady on his feet. They accommodated his seating needs which was very kind. The meal and service was excellent. First time we've been back to The Barge since refurb...it looks great!
Paul Tolley: Dog friendly, which is a bonus for us. Meal really good. Lovely pub restaurant. We are now regulars

Gerry Mott: Really nice pub. Great landlord who has done a wonderful job creating a back garden from nothing. Worth a visit.
Adey Hadlow: Excellent ale fantastic atmosphere
Andrew Harris: Thoroughly nice little pub. Amazing garden area, but little in the way of custom.Perfect for a quiet drink, but I don't think the pub will still be there by Christmas as there's so little custom. Suggest the owner invest some time in social media marketing to get more punters in.
Adrian Woodfield: Proper real ale with a pleasant outside seating area. Robert the landlord always has a warm welcome for you.
Martyn Hemming: Just visiting the area with friends. Top pub and easily overlooked - would recommend you don't!
Tim Mobbs: Nice pint of San Miguel 🍺 ... even though a tad on the expensive side.
Bryan Greenall: nice little pub in Bletchley.
SJL 2013: In a sea of mediocrity in Bletchley this place stands out. Fantastic real ale. Will definitely visit again.

Craig Nutley: Very quick service and food was great 👍
Georgi Vladimirov: Is a good place friendly staff
Stephen Lindsay: Great as usual. They all are, however, us northern bumkins marvel at the differing prices down south. Same booze, more money. But 2 decent meals and 2 pints for £15.50 - magic. Good service too.
Steve Flaxvert Cherry: Rapid bar to table service on a Friday night. 3 door staff to keep things safe.Food was lovely.
Sanj: Good choice of beers and tried the new crispy chicken burger and pint. Really good value for money. Just think the place needs a uplift as now looking a little dated.
Steve Manning Official: The venue was friendly, reasonably priced and the food was great too. Highly recommended.
Izxnxmiii R. P.: Always go here for a vegan breakfast.Food isn’t always piping hot but for less than £5 for breakfast, can’t complain!Service is always quick, staff are friendly and extremely helpful
Hellzy Bellz: The place is great for prices the food is OK too but what really is disappointing is that my boyfriend and I was told our very well behaved small dog (cavachon) had to leave the outside seating area as NO DOGS are allowed at all .. not even outside. That's absurd in this day and allot of people have dogs, especiallyafter the pandemic. We was told to leave but we said we just ordered food so won't be leaving until we have eaten it. What a stupid rule. Our dog literally sat under the table causing no trouble.
David Huerta: Estaban haciendo una pequeña reforma pero el local agradecería una reforma a fondo. Ya sé que la moqueta es típica en Inglaterra pero ha de estar bien limpia o de lo contrario es una cosa más bien sucia y que da mal olor.
Mahendra Pratap Singh: Good place to drink.Had 2 beers in nominal rate 😀😀😀
Billy Sayers: In the middle of a street full of office buildings this place provides a welcome watering hole. Reasonable selection of cask and keg beers.
Jamie Morgan: Had a great family lunch here today. Great salad option and lovely kids meal. Fast service too.
DHIRAJ jha: good service
Glen Cattermole: Good large Wetherspoons, nearby parking is all charged during the dayeven on a Sunday
marion constable: Weatherspoons in Milton Keynes. As always busy but did not have to wait long for food. Meals were hot and ok. Prices very good. Paid parking during the day nut free after 6pm.
The Whisperer: Quite a surprisingly nice spoons. Bright and airy with high ceilings and floor to ceiling glass. Well spaced seating throughout with a raised area opposite the bar. Some seating out the front but quite a lot to the side. Staff were pleasant and constantly working to keep the pub clean and tidy. The Guinness was excellent as was the Doom Bar.

Mad Hatter: Very impressed ...popped in 4a drink , great location , Sunday Roasts look the mutz nutz & was impressed that they do x2 Rib Eye steaks & a bottle of Vino for £35 squidley didleys on a Wednesday( booking advised)....don't forget 2 register your number plate or cop a £100 fine 2🤔...Enjoy👍🏻
Neil McRobert: Fantastic revamped pub right on the canal, a beautiful spot, it serves ales & the usual suspects in keg & bottles....food looked amazing & it also has a car park, you must enter your reg at the bar to avoid a fine.
David Cockburn: Lovely pub by the canal
Alan Tyler: No last orders. Stopped serving at 10.40. Your custom not appreciated
costel bejan: They don't have clients and they put the parking penalty to make money.I was there for a drink and I get a penalty .The lady should ask people when they come, but they don't bother because is a scam.
Andy Savage: Nice canal side pub. Watch canal boats using the locks
Steve Shurey: Not from the area, just had a dog walk around a mile away and wanted to find a nice pub for a drink before going back home…found this one looked lovely! Parked my car in the car park and had a drink. A month later I have received a letter with a £100 parking fine enclosed from this pub! Absolutely disgusting. How can they expect to attract new customers when they find them for parking in their car park!
Dean Johns: Great pre match pub especially if the weather is nice. Staff very friendly
Steven Rolfe: wonderful pub and lovely spot next to a canal ,weather was great , beer very good and bbq was good and off course lovely bar staff and big thanks to them .
Tania M: Lovely friendly pub. Canalside location. No food left when we arrived. 😔. Will prebook Sunday lunch next time, as they suggest on website, food looked amazing.
Fergus Murphy: Very friendly and patient staff. In a nice setting.
Rigsby Whicker: Quaint pub on the canal side by the locks. Run by two effervescent ladies who go out of their way to make you welcome. Good menu choice. Well worth seeking out.
Carol Thomas: Walked there today with our dog, they were very welcoming with us and our dog and the food was lovely too!!
Hugo Spiegl: A good friendly pub. Visited as an away fan. Plenty of parking. Outside seating. Friendly and helpful staff.
Lee Barker: Brilliant little pub, but definitely needed to be selling beer outside when Derby county were in town, difficult to get in the bar.
Neil Zscherpel: Nice location on the canal and friendly staff. Make sure you register your car in the pub for the car parking.
TheAntitrollpatrol: Always good , staff friendlier as of late :)
Dave Miller: Have not been in there for years but had a good time

Linda Nelson: Great food drink knowledgeable and welcoming staff
lee weston: Very excellent food, friendly staff. Not the cheapest, but possibly the best & still very reasonably priced.
Niall Wagner: Went for a Sunday Lunch at the plough that was quite disappointing. We were seated at a table for 2 right next to the bar (on the restaurant side of the pub) and it wasn’t relaxing at all. They were playing loud 00’s pop music that just didn’t suit the feel of the place. We ordered the shared roast and were given small plates to eat from which were very thin and lightweight, and couple that with not having placemats on the table, they kept sliding around the when cutting up food. For the most part the food quality was good but the lamb was so dry that we left over half of it. Only 4 roast potatoes between 2 people was pretty underwhelming also. We would come again but probably get something other than the sharing roast, as for £37 it didn’t feel worth it. The staff were friendly but they were quite loud when moaning at each other behind the bar which wasn’t exactly professional.
Jack Russell: Lovely pub with very fresh real ales, good food, friendly staff and patrons
Ina Stoycheva: Absolutely love the atmosphere of this place. We went for lunch and it did not disappoint. The service was wonderful - v ert polite and non-intrusive. The food came quick and it was very tasty. We ordered to try the beef and the chicken burger and they were both very flavorful and big. Love the chips as well - nicely spices and crispy. I also had a latte and I was pleasantly surprised of how delicious it was (I love my coffee but not everywhere does a good cup). The place is spacious and decorated with taste. I noticed they do roast and quiz nights so will have to come back and try those.
Mark McBain: A lovely pub will visited from a canal boat holiday. The food was amazing, definitely recommend.
Val Twidale: We had the roast lamb which we found dry. I also found, for me, that there was too much spice.
Carl Hood: Large family celebration meal and food was great and service 5 star. They have a large separate room for 20+ diners which is perfect for big groups
Colin Creasey: Good pint there
Gill Jerome: Fantastic meal here yesterday.Delicious food and service that goes above and beyond. Will definitely return.
Tina Muskett: Great food and a really interesting building. Would highly recommend!
Vikas Rajole: Amazing food, lovely Aels!
k: Great for a quiet drink & company. Great atmosphere. Great food. Great place!
Colin Pearce: Great staff and very friendly. Food is very good although not cheap.
Lucy Cohen: Oh my goodness the food was the best food you will ever taste in your life (especially the desserts!) The waiters are so kind I wish I could tip all of them, and not to forget the drinks just wow , even the water is good ,and the best part is it has a modern part and a really cosy part
David singleton: Very nice cosy village pub. Lovely food. The Sunday roast looked great, and big.
Andy Bro: Excellent service from attentive and responsive staff. Good wholesome food at sensible prices.
Jayne Walsh: What a great experience.I have an unusual allergy and they could not have been more helpful, knowledgeable and kind.. The food was great, but the service was 1st class.Keep doing what you are doing, we will be back
Gabriela Poenaru: the best burger ever 😊
Images QT: Amazing pub food and attentive service. I loved the small town home feeling accompanied by top shelf food.
