Becket House Nursing Home: what do users think?
Nigel Cox: I am giving five stars for the care shown to our Dad, Dennis from all the staff. They have shown kindness and devotion to Dennis. They do a very special job. I want to thank Lizzie, Wendy, Kelly, Tina and Michael. A special thank you to Anto. All those who cared for Dad you are all angels, We lost Dad at the end of last year and are heartbroken, but you made it a little easier for me and my brother Simon.
Simon F Cox: I will give the five stars for the care that the excellent staff, who are all professional and caring and done their best to make father as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately Dennis died this December and left a huge whole in our hearts. I would like to especially mention Kelly, Wendy and Lizzie a big thank you from me and my brother Nigel.
sara-jane thody: went here for an interview a couple of weeks ago, .the manager took my CV and application form. She did not even ask me any questions not even my name, but told me she would email me which never happened.i have thirty years experiance in care and have never experianced such unprofessional management.I think that you will find that they were interviewing inside the home because when i arrived manager was interviewing someone in the home and invited me in to the home. Also i did not appreciate the manager phoneing me last week to ask me to remove my review .very proffesional
Josh Kennedy: They like to leave you a voice mail to tell you your loved one has passed away, they cannot even be bothered to wait until you get back from work so you are able to answer the phone, how they think this is acceptable by any means is absolutely baffling to me. So if you would like your family member to be put in this (NON)Care home be ready to receive a voicemail telling you they have died.
Ala Ben Oun: The owner of this place is all about money and nothing else constantly under staffedThey are always running behind . 5 lots of 5 star reviews in 1 month, 2 that appear to be related seems strange? As it had 1 star only for ages. Cqc report says everything!!
Heena Nandha: Well run home, caring and friendly staff. Located in a nice area.
Jay Nandha: Visited the home for a potential placement. The home was very clean, staff were welcoming and the atmosphere was very pleasant!

Intrust Care Ltd.: what do users think?
Neal Cassady: This company looked after my mother. It felt like a big decision getting personal home care but it has been a great decision. The carers are very professional and pleasant to deal with. They are very patient with my mother and are always happy to give advice and support to me also. Highly satisfied with the service. Thank you Intrust :)
lukia sukuta: I have worked with Intrust Care for 3years as a support worker. Over that period of time I was doing my nursing training. I enjoy every moment I worked with them. The team was very supportive, helpful and understanding. I have gained a lot of skills, they provide excellent training to staff. Intrust Care works in order to ensure that prevailing standards of care are being met. Intrust priorities their service users' dignity, help them to maintain their quality of life and enables them to remain independent in there own home.
UwU: Intrust care is a great care company to work with and they offer quality and outstanding services to services users, they offer regular support and training for their staff. I have always enjoyed working with this company.
Sikander Dada: Looks great and feels very good to see how hard people work and very much to the point
John Neville: A very kind and caring companyIntrust Care looked after my Father for the last 16 months of his life. His carers were extremely professional, well-trained and totally reliable. My Father was always treated with dignity and kindness and enjoyed the inter-action with them when able to. They always made time to chat and make him laugh and were totally supportive of my sister and I. I would recommend Intrust Care without any hesitation.Elizabeth Neville
Matt french: I worked for Intrust for a year and I found them a nice company to work for, Leila the director is a very caring and fair person, she was always available to talk and even though she is a director she would still come out ado shifts and you can tell this is a person who really cares for the service users too. I left because the skills I learned being a care helped me get a senior position elsewhere so always grateful to them for giving me the opportunity to learn a new set of skills.
Maria Adams: Intrust Care were nothing short of amazing when my family and I were going through the saddest time of our lives. Their carers were charming, friendly and put my Grandmother at ease, ensuring she was comfortable and above all given choices and listened to! They were gentle, and respected her dignity, I will forever be grateful for this. Nan enjoyed the visits and a bit of chat when she could manage it, and it was good to have regular carers coming so you got to know them.Although I hope to not have to use a care service anytime soon, I would recommended Intrust to anyone who did.
Kirsty Watson: Intrust Care are the perfect company if you are looking for someone to support you in providing the best quality of care for your loved one.Can I give 10 stars? My dad was tetraplegic and has been paralysed for 14 years he also suffered from a condition called autonomic dysreflexia, this is a rare condition and most medical professionals have not heard of this, Intrust ensured all their staff were fully trained on every aspect of dad's life and aware of all of my dad's needs and even his wishes, they even helped the family understand how to support my dad when we were unsure! Before Intrust my dad was very depressed and frustrated, He obtained a grade 4 bed sore on his spine due to poor care from the previous companies. Intrust changed all this and dad found his fighting spirit again, his sore completely healed and he was once again smiling and happy, he was even planning rehabilitation into society on his new wheelchair, not only did you heal his physical pains you healed his mental one's too, thank you!My dad sadly passed away October 2019 his fight was over and the family are so touched by the support offered from Intrust at every stage, carers turned up at the hospital to say their goodbyes and many even attended the funeral. After the funeral Leila called to ask if the family needed any support with arrangements for apparatus, thank you all for giving my dad the best year we could have ever asked for, I only wish we found this company sooner!Give them a call today and I promise you will not be disappointed! From a greatful Daughter of Mr Robert Taylor
Rachel Larkin: As an employee of intrust care I am fully aware of how invested the company is with all of their service users. The time and effort all the carers and management put into seeing our service users maintain their independence and way of life as much as possible is beyond anything I've experienced from any other care provider before. The training courses provided are thorough and extensive to be able to care for our more complex care packages. We have a fantastic team that only want the best and all management, from our senior carers to company director, are only too happy to help , support or guide with any issues that may arise. On a personal note, intrust care provided care for my nan. So I have seen the work ,care and compassion from this amazing team first hand. Nothing is too much and its always with a smile.
Xxxx First: This care agency is a scum, I went for a shadow shift on the 22-02-2019 from 7:00 - 15:00 for a client with complex care needs. I am already experienced with complex care so the shadow shift wasn’t really a shadow shift because I worked throughout. Some of the calls required double ups, but since I was on shift they didn’t send anyone so I worked with the other carer. They know with genuine shadow shift you are only allowed to observe and not work for 8hrs like I did.The manger came to check up on us at the clients home to see how everything was going on. whiles attending to the client, we constantly changed gloves. The manger told us to use less gloves for personal care and wash our hands with soap and water instead because with the constant use of gloves the company is losing money.I made up my mind the company isn’t what I was looking for me so after my shift because as a manager you should be encouraging carers to use the adequate PPE. I told them I wasn’t happy to work for the company.Till date I call the office and send them text messages and phone calls for them to pay for the shadow shift because I worked throughout my 8hrs shift, I didn’t only go there to observe, and there was no verbal or contract agreement that shadow shift aren’t paid for. I spoke to “Hussein” one of the directors about my pay and he was very aggressive and shouting when I called for my money.I wouldn’t recommend this company to any care assistants, they are total scum.
Keith Brown: I can't praise Laila and her team highly enough for the dedication and professional service they showed in looking after my Dad through very difficult times. I rate them 5/5 and would recommend them to whoever requires care for the elderly. Thank you to all the Team.
Graham W: My Dad aged 92 was diagnosed with Cancer which added to other pre-existing conditions and this required a complex regime of medications and care and he became unable to care for himself. It soon became apparent that his care needs exceeded the resources of his family alone and the NHS kindly supplied us with the services of Intrust Care for 2 hours a day, 7 days a week. It was unusual for us to have so many people visit my Dad but they were so kind and friendly that they soon felt like part of the family. Their dedication and “nothing was too much trouble” attitude really helped my Dad and us bear the strain of his horrible ordeal. Intrust were also able to provide some overnight cover which helped a lot in the latter stages of his illness where he needed assistance several times in the night. Every Intrust carer visit came with attentiveness and compassion and an infectious smile that brought sunshine into the house. The assistance that Intrust Care provided contributed to my Dads survival longer than anticipated and it allowed him to attend the wedding of his Grandson, something he had not expected to be able to do. He was so happy that day and the family will be forever grateful to Intrust for helping to make that possible. I have no hesitation in recommending the Intrust Care team for care of patients in the home.
Ian Tootill: My mother had a severe stroke in July 2016. She had been the main career for my 89 year old father, who has mobility and balance difficulties following a head injury. Whilst my mother was in hospital and then in a nursing home, InTrust Care stepped in to care for my father, calling in four times per day to help and support him. They provided excellent care for the 10 months that we needed them. They felt like a helpful family member during one of the most challenging periods for my family, for which my sisters and I will always be grateful.
Ian DUNK: All carers were excellent in the care given to my mum. Can recommend them to everyone in their time of need.
Aly Khimani: Great service!
Chris Merrony: I recently had experience of the care and support provided by Intrust Care ltd. my husband returned home from hospital and required palliative care for his advanced cancer. For over three weeks the Intrust Care team provided us with excellent service and care. All the carers were friendly, helpful, experienced and most importantly really cared about the wellbeing of my husband and myself. I could never have managed to have him at home without them as his care needs in his last few weeks were considerable. As he further deteriorated until his death in the early hours the team were compassionate and always looking for ways to help my husband and ease any discomfort. I cannot thank Layla Maureen and their team enough. I have the consolation of knowing that my husband received excellent support and care whilst at home in the final weeks of his life.
Gary Marshall: My parents recently started receiving care from intrust care in Milton Keynes. I am delighted to say the care and compassion shown by all of the staff has been exemplary. I cannot praise the quality of care highly enough. They have done everything they could to support my father who has Parkinson's and my mum who looks after him and myself especially over the last week when my dad was admitted to hospital with pneumonia. The care is more than we could ever have hoped for and the support they have offered me has been wonderful. Thank you to you all - your care and compassion brings a tear to my eye - I had begun to think that no one cared for those of us folk out here who need support to continue to live in our own homes but you guys have restored my faith. Thank you and to anyone looking for support for themselves or a family member I cannot recommend their services highly enough.

Starry Care Services: what do users think?
Diane Edwards: I would like to say a big ‘Thank You’ to all the carers who attended my husband (James Edwards of Whittlesey) in the five weeks prior to his death. They were caring and attentive to his needs right to the end.
Elly Swords: I cannot thank the team of carers enough! They were so gentle with my 95 year old father, James Edwards, (Whittlesey) their care and support was exemplary
Busuyi Fatunsin: Very great place to work. Good staff and well trained career. They take the welfare of their staff as their priority and they have listening ears. Welldone Starrycare
Husain Choudry: This is a terrible company to work for. There is a lack of communication and administration at Starrycare. The company don't know how to treat there staff. Threaten to hand p45s when you don't accept shifts. They don't provide you uniform to do the job in. This company are only bothered about the money they are making.

Jill Dyer: Radfield went above and beyond by accompanying mum to my son's wedding. This enabled her to join in the fun whilst being well cared for. The whole family was relaxed knowing that mum had a caring professional at her side.

Barchester - Ashby House Care Home: what do users think?
M C: Ashby House is a lovely place. The staff are always so kind, and the level of care is exceptional. It wasn't easy finding the best home for my wife's long term care, but once we saw Ashby House, we knew she would be in very good hands.
Dan Mcgivern: woeful. Management has no idea what is going on and completely lacks empathy. Promised us a space, even did mum an assessment (which, by the way, they missed because they forgot about it-organised right...) Was told months into communication that they will no longer take mum, even after promising us a space. DO NOT put your loved one in this home
Martin Young: Very good care home, with caring people who know how to support people they care for. My relative described Ashby House as home, where people care for others with respect, dignity and who are always there when you need them.
J Double B: My mother passed away at Ashby house in September of 2021. After spending a 11 years there, which was big mistake, we just didn’t think she would would be there for that long. So if you have plans and ideas of maybe putting a loved one in a care home please think hard about what your doing because this might not be a 18 month or two year thing, it could be for many years.Ashby house - here is an honest opinion and things that happened.1. Two members of staff badly handled my mother which left her with cuts and bruises on her arms - police was called one was sacked and one needed more training.2. Be prepared that once your loved one is handed over you going to have carers,, nurse’s, doctors, managers, and even solicitors in some cases involved with your family member and all control is taking out of your hands and there be many times you won’t like how things are done but you have no choice.3. Please keep an eye on your loved one as on a few occasions my mother did go to hospital due to dehydration as she wasn’t given enough fluids. When my own mother went to hospital a member of staff is meant to go with them this wasn’t the case and happened a few times and at times the hospital hadn’t a clue why she was there till i or other family turned up at the hospital to clear things with them.4. Staff come and go like no tomorrow- we saw many come and go, this is very off putting as most staff are just agency staff.5. Ashby house looks ok, comes across ok, staff is nice but if a loved one is there for a long time it’s not good. Your loved one could end up in their bed for many days or even weeks if unwell they won’t move them and it’s just in bed all the time in their room. Yeah they get changed but they need to be out and about they need air when weather is good, with lack of staff this is what will happen.6. When visiting dont just stay in the care home take them out if they can walk and go for a walk don’t make life all about the care home take them out and about when you still can - trust meyou wish you did when things get harder..7. Remember staff work there they are not your best friend and it’s all smiles and hellos but that’s their job, there is some good staff but when asking about a loved one ask different staff not just one get different views on things you will see there is a difference. My mother I feel was failed in the end, she suffered in the end the day that she died just two hours before her passing staff went in her room and changed her bedding and clothes and after wards she was suffering finding it hard to breath and this made things worse - why change a dying person when they going to die very soon leave them alone and don’t make things more uncomfortable but they did. Two hours later she died. And with this covid that’s gone on what an awful time to have a loved one in a care home this will leave you hurt, angry, confused. Please think hard about leaving a loved one to a care home. My biggest regret:( R.I.P. mum I love xxx
Eugene Coyle: Very nice and well run place
J M: Visited the home recently and found everyone very welcoming and caring . All staff I spoke to were really supportive and kind. My relative who lives at Ashby House is happy and it's all that matters to me. Thank you team Ashby House.
Kathy Parry: My mother has Dementia she has been at Ashby House since the end of April after a nasty fall and a hip operation. She has been slow to recover from the operation but is at last making a slow but good recovery. The care that she is receiving from all members of staff at Ashby is excellent. The communication from the Manager downwards is first class, all medical issues have been followed up immediately and the results communicated to us as a family. This has alleviated stress knowing that she is receiving top notch care. There is a very relaxed and happy feeling within the home that also relieves any anxiety one might feel.
Isobel Ganderton: I contacted Ashby House when I had to look at a permanent nursing care place for my Dad. He had a recuperation place in another home but they were not been able to offer a permanent place at the time. From speaking to the receptionist initially, then the Deputy Manager Francesca and Wojciech the General Manager, they all showed genuine interest in my plight, they listened to me with care and compassion, took a lot of detail, offered advice and support and gave me so much of their time, for which I was so grateful for at an very uncertain and stressful time this is all new territory to me. Wojciech showed me the beautuful home on a virtual visit, the lovely rooms that were available and even arranged another virtual visit to look at a room that was being decorated, once it was finished. I was kept informed of any information regarding the place. I chose Ashby House as they were so caring and hoped my Dad would move, sadly as these things take time, a permanent place became available where he was already, so we didn't then need the place at Ashby House, however I know that if my Dad had moved he would have had the very best of care. My 86 year old Mum even said if she needed to go into a home that's where she would like to go.I cannot thank Wojciech and Ashby House enough for their help and support during this time.
Denise Dorrell: Very happy with the care my husband is receiving. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms and surroundings excellent. New dedicated visiting room is wonderrful.
Katie Williams: My dad went to live permanently at Ashby House Care home in Jan 2019, specifically on Memory Lane due to his Alzheimer's.He sadly passed away on the 1st Nov.As a family, we cannot praise the care workers and all the staff on Memory Lane enough, they are friendly, helpful, kind people, that do an amazing job looking after people with dementia, some of the care workers clearly go the extra mile and it is wonderful to see that.
daniel woodley: A really nice home, great photos on their website and facebook page of residents enjoying themselves, looks very welcoming.
Janani Lambotharan: Ashby House is a great care home and they provide excellent service. The staff are all so kind and welcoming. They treat the residents and volunteers with respect and it is a hospitable environment.
Harleigh-Louise Marshall: A very warm and welcoming atmosphere as soon as you enter the home. Ashby House provides genuine love and care for their residents ensuring that everyone is treated with respect and that their personal needs are top priority. Highly recommend!
Jordan Blaikie: I work for a company called G-Fitness. I provide exercise therapy classes for the residents at Ashby House on a weekly basis. All the exercises are aimed around increasing quality of life, helping the residents retain abilities for longer along with being enjoyable. Whenever available the staff always join in with the sessions which I think is great and seem to really care about the residents. I always look forward to my weekly sessions at Ashby House.
Mei Yin: The community at Ashby House Care Home is very warming. The staff are very helpful and the citizens are extremely supportive and caring! I would definitely recommend.
Lesley McKenzie: Our students at Hazeley have had amazing volunteering opportunities at Ashby this year - with many thanks to all the staff and residents for making them feel most welcome!
Ayesha A: Clean and living place 😊 feel like home
Chelsea Key: Wonderful service 😊
Dricka Rosé: Happy place where u can go and have a wonderful experience with everyone and they are very friendly
Aiisha Sow: Wonderful stuff, very clean and treat well the residents. The manager Anu is an incredible manager, he always keeps his eyes on the residents and go check on them every time.I would highly recommend Ashy care home
Michaela Fey: Very good hygiene and good looking.Welcoming place.
