Vets4Pets - Milton Keynes: what do users think?
keith sparks: Very good veterinary practice, friendly staff.
Mshaxyy C: I have a very nervous dog and i dread for his annual vaccinations but the guys in this branch have great confidence and very helpful which helps with my dog. I highly recommend
andrei bauer: Customer service was great, the consultation was excellent, my appointment was on time. Everything was good for me. Thank you so much.
Paul Bird: staff very helpful and sympathetic towards me and my pet Tommy when he was very poorly .Very professional service and would recommend to allthank you for your assitance it was very much apprecaited and my Cat Big Bad Tommy is on the mend thank goodness
Nik Hartley: They have brilliant vets including surgeons and support staff
Jane McDonald: I have always been very happy with the Reception Team. They are always very friendly and helpful, very knowledgeable about treatments that my pet is currently on and the problems she is having. I never feel rushed and the Vets are so ready to. Help and explain anything that I need to know to be able to follow any treatments that I may have to continue at home.I have always been very happy with the whole Team and appreciate everything they do for owners and pets alike.
Debbie Reynolds: We have used this Vets4Pets Rooksley team since moving to Milton Keynes in 2004; they are amazing and every Vet and team member in Huw’s team never fall below expectations. They are, quite simply, extraordinary.
charley dunlop: The receptionist team are always lovely there, they seem to really like animals themselves and comment on the animals or speak/stroke the animals. It’s good when they show they care. The vets / nurses again are always nice and friendly, there. We have one pet who has been with you for ten years and we registers our newer dog there also, even though we live a lot closer to other vets.
julie Hallwood: Love the new look great place for all your pet needs, warm friendly helpful staff.
Robert Paine: Have been using Vets4Pets MK for over 12 years now. Highly recommend. Great people, great service, amazing care.
Chris Palmer: My experience for the past 5 years with my cockerpoo and for the last 14months as I now also have a yorkie poo has been excellent.. always helpful .. would never want to change this vet practice
Carol and David Butler: It's a pity that when you speak to the reception desk that half way through they have to stop dealing with you and answer the phone, this is very bad a can be really annoying because they completely ignore you at the desk it's also extremely rude.
Angela MacGregor: Everyone is very friendly and helpful sometimes the information can be contradictory from vet to vet on the odd things. Expensive for some treatment but overall cheaper than most places. They should not make patients pay £7 for 7 normal paracetamol that is not necessary.
Jon Peters: We always get good service here but waiting times on the phone can take a long a while.. a few instances of 30mins + (maybe victims of their own success in this regard) once in though the team are very professional and you feel in very safe and competent hands.Treatment is pricey but comparable with other alternatives. The vets always offer good advice for aftercare as well so provide a very complete service. I would very much recommend.
Lorraine McDonald: Lovely service from all the staff here. Often difficult to get through on the phone but very helpful and kind once you do
Mrs Mair: Staff are all amazing friendly and well educated.
Janice Timoney: Friendly staff that are always welcoming.
Sandy Hobbs: Always friendly
Sam Gomes: Lovely vets, glad I've brought my elderly dog here they are very caring.
Ali: The intention of ,my visit was top collet working and flea treatment for my dog. I didn't have to wait long to be seen, answered a few questions then within a few minutes received the treatment.
Julie Dawn Cobley: Friendly and professional at all times, explained the procedure in layman's terms by Vet Raya. When I called for an update, Jasmine Nurse, advised she had been giving her plenty of cuddles, while she waited to be Spayed. Very reassuring..My Dachshund Rolo, came out a little groggy but relatively happy considering.. One Highly Satisfied Customer.. Thank you 😊

Milton Keynes Veterinary Group: what do users think?
Chris Hevey: Extremely caring and effective vets, whom we’ve been with for over 20 years. We had to have our two dogs put down in the last five months due to a heart conduction and cancer that could not be operated on due to their age. Although this is a terrible event to be part of, I can’t imagine it being dealt with in a better or more supportive way. Earlier, one of the vets removed a large tumour that was very close to the eye. It was so well done that after a couple of weeks you would never have known it had been there.
David Izzard: Very professional team and always take time with your pet.Always confident with the treatment my cat receives.
Chris Dent: Friendly, and supportive of your choices. Will write prescriptions for you to get stuff from the internet. Large practice group so you don't often see the same vet.
John Owden: Although they were really busy, they found our cat an appointment and even were able to change it (the benefit of having more than one surgery in Milton Keynes), when our cat went AWOL, just before we needed to get him in his cat box for the original appointment. I’m sure this isn’t the first time that’s happened. The vet was very thorough and our cat is well on the way to recovering from being attacked by another animal.
Caroline Evans: Appointments available when needed, clean and well maintained. Caring practice
Rob Mann: Very friendly and helpful. As a first time puppy owner I had many questions which were answered by the team. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to register their new pup 👍🏼
Paul Knight: Great vets :)
Bernard Atherton: Brilliant vets, Debbie is truly an excellent vet!
Daisy Flook: Even through I'm not with this practice they took my cat in under an emergency and assisted me throughout
Stacey Beament: Very welcoming, kind and friendly staff.
Kevan B: Nice clean and well spaced reception area. Friendly, relaxed and efficient staff.
Margaret Mclean: Excellent vet. Been with them for 30 yes.
John Gentles: Perfect in every way, good friendly staff and very knowledgeable vets
Richard Evans: Always been there for us and dog, great service, sound advice, always welcome questions, really helpful
Keith Charlesworth: Brilliant service been with this vets for years very trustworthy.
Thia Cooper: Quiet and well organised
the Nicholson family: Put health cat to sleep. Horrible vets
John Snell: Always looked after my pets like true heroes
Ken Kendall: Excellent.Service great, social distancing very well controlled.Full marks.Highly recommended.
Sharon Hawkins: Friendly and efficient staff!Pets were treated well and with care

Pet Practice Veterinary Surgery: what do users think?
Sacha Crawford: The best vets I’ve ever been too!! Such an amazing team!!I had a lovely experience with Dr.Collins, who came to my home to put my 18 year old cat to sleep. She treated him with care and compassion right till the end.Couldn’t recommend her/this practice enough. Thankyou for everything you do
Rose Dunphy: We had our 13 year old Chinese Crested PP put to sleep at the MK surgery last week and it was the most traumatic experience of our lives.
Francoise Samouillet: Always very helpful would recommend to anyone
sharon thompson: Took Rosie in this morning. What a loving caring team they all are.
Michelle Baldwin: A truly wonderful vet surgery that has nothing but compassion and care for the animals that they treat, not all vets are the same! It's worth the longer drive to get here to receive such fabulous care. We saw Louise but the vet nurse was equally lovely to deal with, can't recommend highly enough.
Jude Elliott: Amazing service, my best experience with a vet, we had a french bulldog who needed urgent care and was asked to come in promptly, on arrival it was clear to see the passion that the staff have for what they do and the genuine care that they provide for the animals. Our french bulldog received the attention that she desperately needed straight away and is now in recovery! From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank the staff for their outstanding service and would recommend any pet owner who is searching for a practice who puts the needs of the pet first!
Aaron Page: Having called up for an enquiry regarding medication for my morally ill pet, the person on the phone was very rude and unprofessional (this happened on Saturday, July 2nd) - the tone of the person from pets practice was almost argumentative, saying "I can't even point out where you live on a map" (We live near Kingston MK!!).We since have discovered we were misinformed by the vet when our pet was booked in to be "put to sleep", having only one appointment later on in the week - despite being told we had two appointments, one on Monday and one on Tuesday.Having called up and politely raised these issues to the receptionist today (July 4th), I received little-to-no apology and had the phone put down on me with no mention of a 'good bye' or 'take care'.We have since booked our pet into another vets locally.I wouldn't say avoid pets practice, they may offer a great service. Unfortunately, for us, the unprofessional manner in which they treated our case was appalling.Definitely the worst veterinary practice I've had experience communicating with.
Linda Allen: Moved to this vet a few months ago with my dog and her 8 puppies. Vet is amazing as are all the team here. Highly recommend.
Lisa Collender: Had always found them to be very friendly & helpful until it came to the service we received the day after our beloved dog was put to sleep.Would not use them again. Emailed the director and spoke to him but once someone treats you bad its hard to take it back.
ninjo lina: Critical:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueBe careful, they knew my dog was going to die and they didn't let me be with my dog at the last moments. They told me to wait outside the door, they took the dog, after 15 minutes he was barely breathing and he didn't contact what was going on! They let me be only with the lethal injection!
Becky Jones: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueRebecca is the best vet in the whole of MK! FACT!! Whoever has lost trust or had a bad experience? Pet Practise staff and Amazing Rebecca are the only one's I would trust!
Stephanie Lawson: Positive:ResponsivenessI would highly recommend Pet Practice. Staff are always very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and above all caring.I moved from my last veterinary practice to pet practice approximately two years ago and it’s the best move I ever made!Thank you
Joshua Henry: Lovely location, clean, pleasant environment and friendly staff. The prices are fair and I feel like my pet is in good hands.Update: I have been going here for two years now, they have taken phenomenal care of my pets, answer all my questions and didn't miss a beat during lockdown.
Soph H: I don't often leave reviews but must for Pet Practice because they are a 5 star vets! I have only had my baby Pomeranian a short time and she had some tummy problems for a couple of weeks. They have been so amazing at seeing her on the day for me numerous times when I've been really worried & anxious. I know she is in the best hands & the staff are all lovely to communicate with too. I researched before choosing my Vet and I am so happy I chose Pet Practice as they are the best vets in MK (numerous family members go to other vets and don't get the service I do). Thank you!
Nicole DuPapillon: Dealt with my poorly dog Lola beautifully and advised at exactly the right time ,when to have her put to sleep .Sensitive and thoughtful staff .
James Taylor: Great practice and really knowledgable and looks after our pets
Jūratė Sabaliauskaitė: They ignored me completely! My appointment was 6pm, i have been waiting outside for half an hour. Just pressed the bell again, to make sure she didn't forget me, but receptionist open door and said "wont be long" and shut the door! Didnt had chance to say something. Rude, no tolerance, no apologies. Finally another nurse came and took dogs for vaccination. Young nurse was quite polite, but other (receptionist) not at all. This is not first time when i had to wait, i do understand they might been stuck with previous patient, BUT she could let me know, not just ignore and leave outside me without any respect.
Frederique Tarp: They very good
Alex Bruce: Best vet we have used and so warm and welcoming. I genuinely feel they care about the animals they look after and give honest and informative advice.Very glad to have them on our doorstep.
Ryan Bowering: best pet clinic
Tony H: We have moved from our previous vets to Pets Practice with our 3 cats. We were quoted from our previous vet an extortionate amount to treat a dental problem on one of our cats so I emailed all local vets for quotes. (Interestingly from the varying prices in quotes from other vets I would recommend doing the same).Pets Practice gave the best quote, which to be fair was a special offer. but they treated all 3 of my cats for dental care for less than half the price i was quoted for one cat by an MK vet chain. The after care was amazing and was inclusive in the price so no hidden charges or being charged every time you see a vet. You can see the staff have a genuine love for animals and focus all their attention on your pet whilst also providing us Humans with great service and answer any concerns we may have.I would highly recommend Pets Practice and very happy I discovered them. Not only do they really care for your pet but they provide a complete service without being overcharged.(Note: our previous vet surgery would charge if you so much as looked at a vet. I haven't found that to be an issue with Pets Practice)

Midsummer Veterinary Group: what do users think?
Peter Donovan: Friendly and professional staff.
Adam Whitlock: Reception staff very friendly, however the vet was cold and didn't really answer our questions has said that our cat needs an ultrasound without telling us the price of it. When we asked for relevant information about our cat for insurance purposes, we were told very little. And there website is basic with very little information other than what you might save with their pet plan. (Which doesn't cover everything).

Vets Now Milton Keynes: what do users think?
Quirky Whiskers: Really not impressed with the customer service from both nurses and vet. When I called with our emergency nurse was wasting time on asking me many unnecessary questions, I understand if she was asking for things related to the emergency but she seemed to be more interested in my address and phone number, what was worse, when we arrived another nurse was taking the same details from us because apparently it wasn't her who took our call (!?!) When it comes to our vet - she was rude and condescending, I'm not talking about her explanation and advice - she was just snappy and impatient. Veterinary service is extremely expensive and in my opinion customer service we receive should be the highest quality. People should be respectful and considerate - it is up to staff and vets to make us feel reassured .In relation to Vets Now M K response to this review: no, I do not want to discuss it with you, what I want is that your company employees treat every customer with respect we deserve.
jeananne rooney: Vets now was great with my dog. They looked after her amazing and kept me updated with everything they was doing, and was happy to speck to me every time I called for check up.
Natasha Young: Swift efficient service, put our mind at rest after our dog sustained an injury
DEBBIE: Used emergency vet and waited 3 hours, vet was lovely, very thorough the only negative I have is the ridiculous prices chargeda. For consultation £291b. Price of medicine £57 (got same on Amazon £12.50)And they know you will pay their ridiculous prices as yr desperate for yr pet to get better . But couldn’t fault vet lovely lady .
ROBERT NUTT: Ultra expensive. All else was as expected.
B. Olivia Munnellly: Quickly seen for an emergency appointment and vet very helpful and attentive
Juliette Rust: Very helpful staff. Highly recommend.
Michelle Thurlow: My review is based on my 1st visit Sunday 7th May. I was on holiday and my daughter was looking after my 13 year old healthy cat. I suspected a stroke and discussed this on the phone. My daughter took him in and was misdiagnosed with Arthritis in back legs, given Metacam and gabepentin. His symptoms worsened on Monday and I took him in. He had fluid on his lungs and heart had a murmer. He was struggling to breathe. 3-6 months left to live so we made the decision to put him down. I’m heartbroken and the Monday vet was great. However on checking on medication, gabepentin and Metacam worsen heart issues. He had an operation in November 2022. I called my usual vet and he had no heart issues present at that time. I’ve made a complaint against the first vet who misdiagnosed and may have worsened my cats health. I am heartbroken
Sharon Warren: Provided excellent out of hour assistance when my little one was poorly. Stayed in for 3 days on fluids but i was kept updated with phone calls. I was so grateful that he was in caring hands. Thank you
christine saunders: Brought my cat in emergency care treated quickly and put my mind at ease with treatment cat back to himself next day.
felicia davies: They looked after my dog efficiently during the night. I was told to admit him there at 7.00 - 7.30.. They took a long time doing their change over from day staff to emergency staff. It was quite stressful as we had a long wait until he was admitted for the night. I don’t know if this is usual practice or a one off. It was at least an hours waiting. My dog was in pain and needed attention. He was well looked after once admitted.
Steve Handley: Very efficient and friendly service.
Rat Heebeegeebee: This time was good as I and pet didn't have to wait to long to be seen.
Amanda Goodridge: We had a medical emergency with our dog who got bitten by another dog and Pets now were amazing! The speed, compassion and care they showed to our dog and us was perfect
Phil Hession: Unfortunately we had to use your services as an emergency as our Charlie was having breathing difficulties. We contacted you on the phone and was booked in and even sent directions to our phone. 15 minutes later we were being seen and Charlie was checked over and looked after with such care and couldn't have had a better vet to explain has condition and options for his care.
Lynsey Abbott: UPDATE: I have amended my star rating due to the assistance of Sandra who has dealt with my complaint.I took my dog to Vets Now on Saturday night because it was out of hours and I had no alternative. He was in a lot of pain and really wasn't himself. The lady who greeted me was very nice and took us straight into a consultation room to wait for a vet which was very helpful since he was in distress. When the vet came though, I felt that he barely checked him over, didn't stop yawning and seemed more concerned about a potential stomach upset than he was about the fact that he was very slow moving and walking with a limp. He prescribed painkillers which I know do no upset my dogs stomach which was fine, but I left very confused over what he thought the issue was as he didn't really examine him by trying to get him to move or anything along those lines. When I got to reception to pay, the lady asked if I'd like to do a direct insurance claim, to which I said yes, thinking it would be easier. She then asked me to pay £250 of my c.£350 bill which made me think... how is this a direct claim? Anyway, money paid and I thought that was that. I woke up next morning to my invoice via email which included an undisclosed £25 admin fee for the direct claim, plus a "voluntary" donation to a pet blood bank (I would happily have supported this, but it isn't voluntary if the customer isn't consulted!).Had I been told about the admin fee I would have settled the bill in full and made the claim via my own vets since I need to take him there for a follow up anyway. When I called to remove the fee I was told (after several calls and back and forth, but again with a nice lady who was as helpful as she could be) that they cannot amend it in the branch so I have to email their complaints team. I cannot believe that it is impossible for them to rectify an issue on a customers account in their system. Humans make mistakes all the time. There must be a way to credit the account and charge me only what I owe. I believe the lady trying to help me would have done so with the right support from the clinical administrator; a person who was supposed to call me, but it seems couldn't be bothered and so left the receptionist to deal with the whole thing herself.I feel like Vets Now are laughing in the faces of people who have no choice but to bring in their sick pets. They know they have you over a barrel and can charge whatever they want, unless you're happy to watch your beloved pet suffer. The cost is already insanely high, and they know it. Charging an admin fee for processing insurance claims without explaining this to the customer is pure extortion and exploitation. To say I'm disgusted is an understatement. I'll be taking my dog to his regular vet very shortly for a proper checkup.
Paul Knight: Unbelievable prices
Mrs F: So disappointed with the out of hours service offered by Vets Now. With the cost of living as it is and knowing we love our pets to charge nearly £300 to simply see an animal who is poorly is daylight robbery. Most vet practices use this service in my area so they wouldn't be short of customers and more people would use the service if the cost was more reasonable and would mean that animals would be better cared for when they needed help. This is not a company working to provide care and support for animals when they need it. It's simply there to make money as they have the monopoly of vet care during out of hours/ emergency situations.
Sarah Wilkinson: Personable vet who saw out cat quickly, very reassuring and glad they were available. They prescribed pain killers my cat was grateful for, however it seems they failed to find a wound on my cats back when examining him which swelled up and is now leaking pus. Having to take him back to our regular vet today.
Juliet Bartlett: Vets now we're absolutely brilliant during our cat's emergency care visit. Can't fault them, their team is excellent.
Sherri Harrison: My tiny little chihuahua was injured and brought into MK Veterinary Group (Vets Now after hours) and the care that she was given was amazing! We didn't think she would make it but she did, all thanks to the fast acting staff and the care they provided. I cannot thank them enough!

Companion Care Vets Milton Keynes: what do users think?
Tanya Brewster: My cat had to be put to sleep due to recent diagnosis and suffering from Cardimyopathy. The vet who carried out the procedure was kind and sympathetic and gave me the time and opportunity to cuddle my cat prior snd during the procedure. This made the experience less stressful for my scruffy boy and really helped me emotionally.Thank you so much for all your help with Scruffy's treatment, Tanya Brewster.
Stacy Yve Luck: Lovely bunch - locates on Pets at Home. Vats4pets are great with my dog who has Cushings and can be quite nervous when having to stay in for day treatment. :) she always greats them with a wagging tail so that’s a good measure first hand from the patient. :)
Jessica Turner: Be careful!! They start off amazing, you pay in full every time then all of a sudden they start sending you bills for visits you’ve paid for but they claim you paid less and you owe them money. Me and my pets deserve better than this ‘service’.You’ve been warned!
Mikki Mu: Pariot Drive is not in Bradwell Common, Milton Keynes it is on a separate area called Rooksley.
GAMeR Ryan007: Exceptional caring service by all the staff.
Maud Newson: Couldnt ask for a bettet vet Sam was very helpful and would definitely recomend them
Ant Smith: I have just been speaking with Sam McDonald on reception today regarding an admin error that had been made registering our kittens micro chip, she was very argumentative and just keen to appoint blame where completely unnecessary. I was worried also that she advised the micro chip company Petlog are "useless, we deal with them all day everyday" so my question here why on earth as a vets are you recommending them! Sam did manage to rectify the issue but would of been much nicer experience if there wasn't the bad attitude on the telephone! The vets here we have seen in general have been very good, however rude reception staff really make dealing with the surgery quite unpleasant. This is the third bad experience with the reception staff in the past few months I would highly recommend people use the Bletchley Vets4Pets instead as isn't too far away.
Amra Cesar Gonzalez Lopez: Wach out your wallet!I've been on this pratice for several years 2000-2006 aprox, there are several areas where this Vet practice lack.- It will take several appointments to diagnose the problem, unless is something obious, which will not only affect your bank account but also your time, there are ussualy 15 to 30 minutes late.- Consults are scheduled for 15 min, which most of the times the vet have barely enough time to check or discuss symtops or concerns.- When problem is identified, they will advise surgery or strong and expensive drugs. Considering that those two solutions should only the last resource and not every one can afford, it should be suggested that there are more affordable homeopatic/natural options to try before using the big guns. Of course surgery and drugs are more profitable for the pratice.- Price for test can be twice as expensive than other practices on the area. XRay in this practice over £300 other in the area £165.On one ocassion I was advised to put my Yorkie down due to liver shunt after and many appointments, espending thousans of pounds, due to the condition of my dog, or try a surgery which was another £4000 and only had a 50/50 chance to survive. I then went away and looked for further advise online, on which I saw that home made diet with the right ingredients and manage to get my dog back to live without Vets support. On another ocasion, another dog of mine was diagnosed with Hip Dysplapsia, again after several appoinments and test, so the Vet advised surgery. As the surgery was agresive, I went online and found that most of the times, this condition can be managed with Glucosamine and weight management. So I decided to try before going to the surgery option. Both dogs are now doing well without surgeries and drugs.I fear the day any of my dogs get ill, as with this practice I now the are ready to take all my money and let my pet die if I run out of funds.Im now on the process of changing Vets and after this experience Im finding dificult to find one I can trust. They are ok for standard things tho.
Wayne Brownell: Great with animals of all varieties and good value for money

Best Friends Vet Group, Shenley: what do users think?
Windsor Castle: My German shepherd was 13 yrs old and suffered from paralysis in his hind legs. Today i took the awful decision that it was time. They were brilliant. The receptionist, the nurse and the Vet all took time to make sure my decision was sensitively and professionally handled. I will always hold them in my heart.
G Garratt: Recommended for male cat neutering. If not already "Avoid lifting your cat" needs adding to their after neutering do's and don'ts list.
Sally archer: Harrowing and distressing.Having been a dog owner all of my adult life, I have had a few dogs put to sleep which is always very sad experience.Yesterday, we had to have our 15 year old beauty put to sleep. This was the worst experience of our lives. We were asked to leave the room, whilst the cannula was put it. We spent, what seemed like an age, possibly 10 mins, listening to our darling dog screaming and stressed, which was so upsetting. We were then called in to the room, saying they had to sedated her as they had been successful in getting the cannula in. Surely, they should have sedated her right from the start. The vet was intent on telling us about her aunt, who had recently died, which we thought totally inappropriate.Basically the last 10 minutes of our dogs life, prior to the sedation was extremely stressful and terrifying for her, without us present to help calm her . We feel we have done our dog an in justice, which has scarred us both.Seems a complete lack of empathy by both the vet and the nurse and our feeling's were not taken into consideration. We are happy to not have to use this vet again.
Stephen Brett: Fantastic very good Sue the receptionist was great very friendly and help full i phoned a few times to ask questions and she helped me and Jack my JRT every time and the vet Anishka is very good very friendly very helpful answered all of my questions and was really good with Jack to brilliant will be staying with them for the foreseeable future.
paul jeff: Extremely good vet's.The vet was and receptionist/ nurses are all very professional, kind , knowledgeable and accommodating. We live in Stony but are sticking to Hampden as we are VERY happy with the practice
Ange May: Absolutely love this vet practice my four chihuahuas loved Brad such a shame he left with the shortage of vets his hours were crazy he was so kind caring uderstanding many listened to you and never rushed you - the nurses and receptionists are lovely too and always have a smile don't listen to negative reviews its not their fault they cannot get a vet at the moment - they were brilliant during covid too
Jacqueline Langridge: AVOID AVOID AVOID! I had to give 1 start for this as I couldn't give no stars. I had been with Byron vets for many years and when that closed they transferred my dog to Best Friends Vets on Shenley. I took my dog there for his annual vaccinations and once to get my dogs teeth extracted. My JRT was nearly 18 years old and he was coming to the end of his life and we made the difficult decision to let him go. I phoned Best Friends only to be told that they couldn't do it because they didn't have any vets and when I asked when they would get some I was told that they didn't know when they would get a vet and that there was a shortage of vets at the moment. I was in pieces, I asked what I could do as we couldn't let him carry on the way he was. All they said was "you could try Hempton Vets in Aylesbury or ring round some vets to see if they could take him. I was horrified. There didn't seem to be any empathy about what we were going through. How can a vets practise have no vets and no idea of when they would get one. Please avoid this vets if you want a vet that cares about your pet and one who won't let your pet suffer. We did eventually find a vet who would help us but it was devastating having to email and ring around to try and find a vet that could help. I would never recommend Best Friends Vets in Shenley UPDATE I WAAS WITH THE BYRON VETS WHO THEN TRANSFERRED ME TO YOU WHEN THEY CLOSED YOU HAVE BEEN DOING MY DOGS ANNUAL VACCINATIONS AND ALSO REMOVED HIS TEETH AND HAVE GIVEN ME MEDICATION FOR HIM SO YES I AM/WAS A CLIENT FOR 16 1/2 YEARS!! IF I WASN'T A CLIENT HOW WERE YOU ABLE TO SEND MY DOGS MEDICAL RECORDS TO THE OTHER VET WHO WAS ABLE TO HELP US. MY DOGS NAME WAS JACK AND YOU HAVE MADE ME EVEN MORE DISTRESSED BY SAYING THAT I AM NOT A CLIENT
fiona bolton: Such great service and very friendly staff
Debbie Clark: My dog has a very nervous disposition. Upon arrival I was handed by a member of staff a herbal wipe to tie on Dudley’s collar to help him, I thought this was very sweet. The vet was absolutely fabulous, he spent an inordinate amount of time getting to know Dudley and making him feel calmer. I was given sound advice and would definitely recommend this practice. I’ve been coming to the practice for the last 15yrs and it has improved extraordinarily.
Alex Hall: A really good vets a really good price (compared to mk vet group) and efficient and caring service thank you.
Kelly Garrett: Excellent vet ! Can't thank them enough for saving my dog , they are simply amazing!
Sam Green: Excellent service, friendly and welcoming staff. Reception staff greet clients and patients with a warm smile and make a nervous pet feel comfortable and happy. Great vet surgery, highly recommend
James Martin: I was concerned when I looked through the reviews of this veterinary practice before approaching them for some help I needed with my dog Poppy.Looking at the dates on the reviews, they all seemed very old so this made me wonder if it was just people taking the time to leave their bad thoughts, nobody taking the time to leave good!!I went with my gut feeling & I’m so pleased I did.I initially called & booked Poppy in with Sue, who was very warm hospitipal. On the appointment day, I was greeted by a receptionist Gemma & we also met Sonia who was a nurse there. All very nice people & very professional I found.Poppy seemed so happy & relaxed when I collected her, all staff where doting over her so she was clearly in her element too.Poppy & I needed to come back for another appointment where we then met the receptionist Kerry & Brad who was carrying out the operation on Poppy’s tooth.Again, both Kerry & Brad were lovely & went above & beyond for us with Poppy’s tooth extraction.I can honestly recommend the Best Friends Vet Group Shenley 100%.I certainly wont be using any other veterinary practice.Thank you Team Best Friends Vet Group Shenley
Scarlett Squirrell: Critical:ProfessionalismWhen I called the women on the phone hung up halfway during the conversation. Not professional at all.
Robert Templeman: All the staff are amazing always there when you need them
Briony Sumner: Amazing team here Brad and Sue were absolutely fantastic a few weeks back and literally saved my dogs life after a not great experience at a leading vets that also have a large chain of shops selling everything from live stock to pet supplies. They had treated my dog with a treatment plan that was not suitable and could have led to death. Brad was amazing and took over her care for me he recognised immediately that she needed emergency surgery to save her life and literally dropped everything to take her on urgently. My only regret was not coming back to them in the first place after moving and trying a different vets. I will definitely never go anywhere else such a kind and caring team they looked after my Roxey like she was their own, they kept me updated throughout and the aftercare and support offered was second to none. Price was irrelevant at this point but even so worth mentioning that they were great value for money and estimates provided for the treatment were more or less spot on leaving no nasty surprises. I honestly can not speak highly enough of them. Thank you all so so much our family is complete again now and if it hadn’t of been for you guys the outcome most certainly would have ended very badly and we would have been without a much loved family pet xx
kat: Came in as my cat had an abscess on his foot. the vet grabbed his hind leg bursting the abscess over her clothes, then proceeded to tell me it wasnt that bad, all while my poor cat was clawing to get away from her. Cannot imagine the pain he felt as she did that. Have never come here since. Vets4pets let him walk around the room and feel comfortable, pet him constantly to calm him, and are all around lovely to my cats. Ironically, vets4pets was also cheaper. Wish I could give 0 stars.
Freya Baskeyfield: Always have a great experience here. The staff are all really friendly and knowledgeable. I always feel like the problems I've brought in have been fully investigated and getting hold of repeat medication is so easy.
Body Enhance: Receptionist Sue is extremely rude and has no empathy at all.Another customer in the queue was also disgusted by her attitude.Suprised she even works in an environment where people are having to make the hard decision to put their pet to sleep.I will be making a complaint to head office as she needs to go or the branch needs to close.. Vile attitude.Wouldnt wish Best friends on my worst enemy.Additionally they wanted £1200 for a ct scan, upon googling price for this in uk, dogs trust state a ct can cost up to £750. So their prices are extortionate.
Sonya Scott: After spending quite a bit of time at this vets this past year with our poorly cat Kiki, I can honestly say I think the care and attention from everyone that works there is second to none.Particular huge thanks to Sally who is just the nicest caring soul ... She helped us with Kiki's wounds last year and was there right up until her last breath last week... And I feel so lucky we had her around.Sally clearly has the most amazing love for animals and this shows in the way she goes above and beyond to help them. The receptionists are so helpful too and every time I called up in tears they offered the kindest words! We won't be visiting again any time soon as we lost our only pet but should we ever adopt another, I wouldn't hesitate in using this practice.
C J: Today I was absolutely appalled by the service I received from the Best friends vet group, Shenley Brook End. In particular Sally, veterinary nurse. At 9am I went for a walk with my dog, Oscar. A little in to the walk he began heavily sneezing, I noticed a type of foxtail grass sticking out of his nostril and the sneezing was unable to push it out so I pulled it out. Oscar continued sneezing, spraying blood from the inside of his nose and cutting the outside of his nose with every scrape to the floor (from sneezing). I called my vets and spoke with Gemma on reception, after speaking with the vet I was advised to bring him in straight away. Once at the vet, Gemma took him inside and I waited outside (due to current restrictions) the vet then come outside to advise Oscar wouldn't let him look up his nose so he will need to be sedated for an endoscopy up his nose. I was also advised they didn't have the equipment needed so would need to be referred. The vet went back inside and Gemma offered a vet in Birmingham, I asked if there was anywhere closer to perform the endoscopy. Sally come outside and advised there's one in Marlow, Buckinghamshire so I went for that one. Sally printed off a map of the vets location, a contact number and a form to fill out for arrival. I took the 80 minute journey to Marlow with a very stressed and bloody nosed Oscar to find out the The Ralph in Marlow weren't expecting us and hadn't had any communication from Best friend group. The staff at the Ralph were absolutely brilliant. I was met outside by a lady from reception, Oscar was standing beside me sneezing blood all over the pavement so the lady asked for my vets phone number and called through to see what had happened. Sally (best friend group) had advised the lady it was my fault because they were waiting for me to chose a location. If this was the case, Sally wouldn't have handed me all the paperwork for the Ralph. The receptionist at the Ralph advised she has been sent Oscars notes over and it does state I'd chosen The Ralph. Once Oscar had been seen by the vet, I was advised due to my vets not informing them of my arrival there is no more slots left so they would give him an anti inflammatory, I would take him home and see how he goes over night. If he was still sneezing they would do the endoscopy in the morning. I was gutted and full of anxiety, I had put him through a stressful journey for an anti inflammatory, I could've got back in mk if they had just called through. I called through to Best friend group where I spoke with Gemma. I informed her how upsetting it was for both me and Oscar to make the journey and that there were no more appointments. She passed me on to Sally, before I had a chance to speak, Sally very abruptly states " I told you, you need to call them first." (again, a different story to what she had told the receptionist at The Ralph) I advised that wasnt said at all and questioned why would I be calling through to referral vets when my vets are the ones referring me. She said yes I did and if you raise your voice I'm hanging up. I stated I wasn't raising my voice but you're not allowing me to speak instead are talking over me. I asked her not to hang up and that I can talk to her at the surgery. She advised if I was to come back to the surgery she would call the police, with that the phone line went dead. I called again and the phone lines had been switched off, instead I was greeted with a message stating the phone lines were now closed and are only open until 1pm every day, it was 12:06. I was absolutely stunned at the conversation I had just had with Sally. There was no apology nor empathy, I felt anxious and upset. Their website boasts 'our friendly team' , I feel Sally really let the team down on this occasion.

Brigitta Bacsai: We have been going to this vet practice in Walnut Tree for 8 years but the service has really gone down. My dog had GI and I requested a blood test to find out why. I had to chase the results 3 times over the phone. Next day we went back and waited an hour while my dog was whining from the pain lying down in the middle of the waiting room. We had an appointment and other people were called in ahead of us regardless they arrived with less sick animals after us. Then another 10 days wait for them to submit my insurance claim which only happened after chasing them on the phone for it. Very stressful experience regardless of the high price you pay for the service.
Karen Maffia: On my visit I found it to be a good experience, staff were happy and helpful. Very understanding when it didnt quite go to plan.
Luke Gillings: Very friendly and caring staff
