The Haynes Clinic: what do users think?
Mark Standen: Haynes saved my lifeFrom the minute I came to right now the programme gifted to me by these experts made me want to enjoy the world. Yes it’s hard! Yes it’s tough! But yes yes yes it was worth it.I am full of pride for the people I met, the team that pushed me and my ongoing recovery, I haven’t slipped or fallen and hold the memory from here as the turning point of my life. These guys are incredible.
Antony Breden: Thank god my sister found this treatment centre for me over a year ago!!!!Having struggled with alcohol for many years. I entered Haynes a very sick an broken man.I can not thank them enough for the life they have given me, and my family. All the staff are friendly, compassionate, and completely understand addiction. The counsellors have many years of experience, and helped me understand my illness, with a very simple solution, if I was willing.I have been sober for over a year now!!This place saved my life, and gave a little girl her daddy back. The accommodation, and surroundings couldn’t be more ideal for a treatment centre.Thank you all so much at Haynes!Ant.
Mr Wilson: Most dreadful money grabbing business I have ever been too. The owner is a obnoxious bully who wonders round like a sergeant major screaming and shouting at poor patients! He loves a good story especially telling people his sister is LuLu. He will pick a patient, target them in front of everyone, be little them, emotionally break them in front of everyone, sharing private stories about the patients. He is poor evil
John P: Overall, I would say the Haynes clinic was very well run and provided a generally supportive atmosphere for those wishing to recover from addiction/alcoholism. I would only have a few minor points of criticism. First I think there is sometimes little sympathy shown to the fact that many people arriving at the clinic are detoxing from serious alcohol disorders or opiates and, while appropriately medicated for this, may still feel fragile and emotionally unstable and sometimes the counsellors were unsympathetic to this and expected too much of people too quickly. I would therefore recommend you detox Before you go the Haynes clinic so that you can arrive feeling physically and mentally up to the challengeThe only other thing I would say is sometimes the counsellors would take a one size firs all harsh approach where in some cases it would cleAlry not be constructive and antagonise the patient. But generally the counsellors were extremely bright and for some people, their harsher approach definitely helped to weed out what needed to be weeded out!But overall, very good value for money, generally supportive team and great accommodation.
Jess Hamilton: I went to the Haynes clinic in November 2022. It was an amazing experience. Really brilliant staff and excellent counsellors. Thorough 12 step programme. It was the best thing I did for my recovery and was a turning point.
Kevin: Rehab was my last chance that or certainly a slow death , I done 28 days im sober nearly 90 my whole thinking has changed and enjoying the meetings now outside. the fact it’s heavily focused on the 12 step ; clinic day/meetings evenings and the way the living is set up all works to helping the shift I needed in my head , worth the money !
Hardip Bedesha: Haines is a place for those who are seeking their OWN personal recovery. Therefore, be ready to be personally challenged, whilst reaping the expertise of the staff.Life changing if you want it to be.
Lee Adams: The Haynes clinic saved my life!.I arrived at the Haynes clinic a broken man, out of options and spiralling downward rapidly. I honestly believed I couldn’t be helped. The staff at the Haynes clinic were kind, caring, professional individuals who are passionate about helping to get you clean and sober.I needed to get real with myself, so the tough and honest advice was the thing I needed to start my recovery.I am very grateful to now be 2 years sober and I’d never have done it without the love and support I was given at Haynes. I have my life back and it is beyond anything I expected. The aftercare is fantastically run and it has really helped maintain my sobriety.I’ll always have a special place in my heart for the Haynes clinic, they saved my life and I will be eternally grateful.Thank you to all at Haynes.
Mark Frendo: Shambolic, why is this place even open!
Adam Alsbury: This clinic is fantastic. The therapy and group sessions can be intense , but they worked for me. They helped me not only come to terms with my illness but how to live with it and gain a positive , healthy life. Thank you again haynes for the 28 days I was there and my aftercare and to all the staff, including poppy the cat!!
DJ MARKIE S: great team at haynes they have helped save my life so will be for ever grateful for what they have done for me. the care they had for me was unreal I've been to a few rehabs and haynes has been the best. since leaving haynes I've had a new way a life and its amazing
Clint Rose: This place is the best rehab i’ve been to , and inall i’ve been to 6 different detox centres with thisbeing an amazing caring place with a councellingteam that genuinely care , i haven’t got a bad thingto say about the haynes clinic . 💯👌
James Davis: I went to The Haynes Clinic terrified, broken and suicidal ,I met Raj who instantly put me at ease, he said everything was going to be ok noone had ever said that to me in the 11 year's of me drinking and using and I trusted him I could see in his eyes he ment it,My peer's were so supportive upon my arrival also, they all got me they all understood me not one asked me why I couldn't just stop because like me they were powerless over Alcohol and or Drugs we were all the same no matter what our addiction's were.I felt calm for the first time for a long time thanks to the staff at The Haynes Clinic and all the amazing councillors each and everyone of them I owe them my life. They are so amazing at their Jobs, they are loving and passionate about each and everyone that comes into the clinic, they work you hard and help you to live a positive amazing life that each human deserves to have if you apply yourself to the programme they help you work through. The 12 step program is not a religious program it's a spiritual one and it has completely changed my life I don't believe in God but I believe in the universe , higher power, Good Orderly Direction ,self love treating people nicely doing nice things without expecting thing's in return make's me happy and feeling fulfilled in life I'm now 44 day's clean and sober thanks to the staff, councillors and my hard work I'm getting my life back more and more each day ,I feel stronger, happier and healthier than ever before and will never forget the experience I had at The Haynes Clinic and the amazing people that work there it's completely changed my mindset the way I feel about myself and my lifeJames Davis
James West: I can only say that my experience at the Haynes Clinic has completely changed my life. I have only been out of a 28 day rehab program for 2 weeks but the change in how I view others and how I view myself has been nothing short of miraculous and it occurred in such a short time! It is still very early days for me and I know that I have to continue being vigilant about my recovery every day, but I really feel that the counselling at Haynes has given me the bedrock on which to build this! To anyone considering this clinic for addiction rehab, though, I can't pretend that it's going to be easy. It is really hard work and a lot of uncomfortable truths will have to be faced, but as Binz (one of the counsellors at Haynes) told me: "It's about time, isn't it?", never was a truer word spoken! I can't recommend the place enough and my heart goes out to all those suffering addiction problems and I hope that they are able get the help they need!
Anony Mouse: Absolutely appalling misconduct by the staff, in particular by Bill Taylor who seemed to enjoy reducing people to tears. I am pursuing a complaint.
David Barkham: I owe my world to this place, my girlfriend went to the Haynes clinic. She is an amazing person and always talks so highly of Haynes. If it wasn't for how strong she is and the help she got at this place I wouldn't be with her right now. Thank you so much for everything you did for her and the work you do!
Raj Dosanjh: The Haynes Clinic is a special place. The harsh reality is without this place, I would not be here today. I owe everything to The Haynes Clinic for giving me my life back, giving me my life back when I had nothing left to give. The counsellors are nothing short of amazing and unparalleled to any in my experience. They genuinely care, they accept and encourage you to be who you truly are in a supportive environment. Their aim is give you a greater understanding of addiction and how to prevent relapses – they give you the tools to integrate this into your daily life. Since leaving The Haynes Clinic I feel proud to live my life as a recovering addict. I will recommend The Haynes Clinic to everyone and anyone that is in need for as long as I live, the achievable possibilities from this place are endless. Thank you to all the team at Haynes Clinic.
Anonymous Anonymous: Anybody reading this feeling vulnerable not sure where to turn or are feeling alone. Please do not choose this clinic. Everything I say is factual and accurate despite the response this clinic will reply. This clinic offer the world, they promise you everything. Please stay clear of this cult facility. This clinic has a kerosine leak of which made my husband seriously unwell, they said ‘it had been like that for years’ then they told my husband he was withdrawing. (Control)Although my husband was prescribed sleeping tablets they had no general medicines such as paracetamol because ‘they had run out’ (this was for his intense headache from the kerosene leak.)My husband witness an extremely intoxicated man fall and harm himself off a chair, no staff were there to help him up, my husband carried his room and put him into the recovery position in bed he was left alone to vomit in his room the whole night. My husband felt genuinely unsafe and at risk because of zero health and safety procedures in place. This gentleman vomited in tor bathroom throughout the night leaving it unsanitary for other patients the next morning. They sell for foreign cigarettes to patients in packs of two hundred. They bully belittle and intimate patients if they question the 12 step rule.My husband took a drug test which he failed, he was given sleeping medication the previous night and then was questioned and confronted by staff about his negative result, he was intimated by staff and was asked ‘what do you have to say for yourself’My husband blew zero upon entering the clinic, this leads me on to then explain why I feel taken advantage of, I explained that my husband had been a regular drinker, maybe 20 units a week, but my main priority was for his mental health, his stress levels and managing day to day life. This clinic forces a 12 step program onto people, if you question this you are kicked out, intimidated and bullied. My husband questioned if this was the right facility was right for him, wether he would benefit more from intense therapy for his losses struggles and anxiety he was told he was a failure and dry drunk and basically would fail in life and was an alcoholic. There is no compassion empathy or genuine conversations, it is follow the twelve steps or go.I was never given a direct contact for this clinic, I was given two numbers by staff, one for Shane one for David, once my husband started to question his place there he asked for an emergency phone call this was given by Shane from a mobile phone, i listened to my husband and said I would discuss it with Shane and call back an hour later, I was ignored and my text messages were ignored , my husband said he felt unsafe there and after reading reviews and reflecting on the conversation I had with him I became concerned, I continued to try and contact the clinic and was ignored. My husband met people who had been there several times or were being intimated to stay for longer, that they would not cope if they left now, that they will fail. I believe this is for financial gain and control, they teach no methods to live daily life out of the twelve steps , I truly believe they have brainwashed the patients there are rely on this for them to fail on the outside world to only return and make a profit from them. When I collected my husband no staff did a handover no staff even knew he left the building, even though I saw a member of staff through the window and tried to contact them in the mobile numbers if he given. When I called after picking my husband I TRIED to discuss my husbands stay and was spoken over, I was even told I was in denial over my husbands addictions. There is not enough characters for me to be able to write everything but please seek help elsewhere where you will be safe and supported back to a happy healthy life. There cqc local council have been notified and I pray and pray this facility will be closed. This I hope will go to court and the staff will be prosecuted for the way they run their facility and treat individuals.
KS: Nothing but fond memories of this place and the lovely people. Excellent program and expert staff who really want to help you succeed. If you meet them halfway with honesty and hard work you can and will change your life.
Andy Atone: 6.5 years on from leaving the Haynes Clinic and I'm still maintaining complete abstinence from alcohol. The life I now have is, TRULY, night and day to how I was during addiction. This is owed massively to the jump start into the 12 step program I received from the team at Haynes.
Ben Large: ⚠️Be Very careful⚠️I had two spells in this rehabilitation center. The first spell I had was cut short and I had to leave 3 weeks earlier than planned. The system they had in place for my safe keeping and dutie of care was insufficient and made me very vulnerable. All the trust I had was inthere hands.I failed a drug test once I returned from a visit from my wife and children. I was only one week in.The following day I then failed another 2 tests. I was being accused of using when I knew I hadn’t.The angry head Councillor there Bill and myself started to get into a heated situation. Baring in mind I’ve just spent two hours being accused of using. The heated argument then turned nasty and I lost my cool. His anger only fulled mine I got scared and wanted squash him. That’s how ill I was mentally I was scared like a little boy yet I had the power in me to cause this man harm.I was being discharged but before I left they sat me round with my fellows and each and everyone of them had to say there piece about me using and how they felt with what I done. This was were it got very painful. I listened and then wasDropped off at the train station to make my way home 30 miles away. The first thing I done with my wife immediately after being picked up from the train station was got tested. It took a week but the results come back and I proved that I hadn’t taken drugs.I got an apology from Sue and was offered back my place.I couldn’t accept it I had the biggest resentment I’ve ever had. How could I trust them now after the way I was treated. They did not tell my fellows they got it wrong with me and to this day they still think I let them down and used. They kept £3000.00 back and allowed my wife to attend a co-dependencey meeting. For 7 days all my family all my friends thought I was guilty. It was horrible. I stayed in my house and did not leave. It was just so painful.Move forward 2 years I am now clean and sober with the help of the Haynes Clinic. Through desperation I had to swallow what ever happened to me on that 1st visit so I could get better.I worked with a councillor called Binz. He was amazing and never got angry once. He was very professional and helped me through the power Love. Not fear I was full of fear it was love I needed not fear.So I’m grateful for that.I’m now 15 months clean & sober and have the trauma still in me from my first visit.I’ve asked Sue Nicely if I can get a date into the diary so as I can speak to Gordon the owner. In the hope of getting closure on it all and be freeOf the pain helping me move on with my life.Im getting no where with her and am being treated with the same Ignorance as I was before.Hopefully writing this will help me.If not I will not stop until I do.This is one resentment I’m struggling to forgive. As I feel on this occasion I have not been wrongGiving my mindset & thinking at that time. You are dealing with sick vulnerable people Haynes Clinic. Be examples to the flock. However on a Positive note they were awesome on the second visit. They supplied me with what I needed to get clean & sober.Would I recommend them I’ll leave that up to you I can only share my experience of the place.

Liberty House Clinic - Drug Rehab & Alcohol Rehab Bedfordshire 🏡: what do users think?
kieron athwal: They really help me when I was going through a very stressful time and it’s was definitely the right decision
Lorraine Nagle: If you are willing to do the work you will come away a different person, the staff are amazing,it was the best decision I have ever made
Simon Knox: I can't thank the Staff at Liberty House enough for all their help with my recovery. Their compassion and dedication to Clients is second to none. The 1-2-1 and Group Councelling covers all aspects of addiction from detox to understanding why as addicts we are powerless to both mind altering substances and alcohol therefore giving us the tools to a lifetime of sobriety.Liberty House itself was kept very clean along with the garden situated councelling rooms. For someone that suffers with dietary issues the Chef took time to sit with me and understand what I could and couldn't eat.Liberty House has given not only my children their Daddy back but my parents their son back.I would recommend Liberty House to anyone that is suffering with addiction, whether it be drug or alcohol abuse. To everyone at Liberty House thank you for saving my life and I look forward to returning to share my story and help recovering Clients towards the end of this year.
Rosie M: Slightly all over the place, like a huge hostel for addicts. It may work for some people but wouldn't recommend. In need of a refurb, room had three clocks in, two not working and one upside down and a stain on the bedspread.
Marc Wilson: AVOID AVOID AVOIDStayed there for 3 weeks about 2 years ago for alcohol, on arrival the property was "worn and in a real need of a refurb"I paid £2000 a week.Unless things have changed since then please be aware, you will have to wash and clean everything people have used, I.E cutlery, plates, kitchen area, floors tables patio area, therapy pods etc I could go on.My room was hoovered once in 3 weeks. You only get your mobile phone from 6pm to 9pm but if you miss a therapy session or don't fill in a daily thought sheet you don't get your phone the next evening. They also take control of your cash/bank cards. The food was very basic with no breakfast unless you wanted toast if there was any bread or spread. Some of the staff were very nice but the so called senior staff were very arrogant, self reightos bullying and often rude/condemning, one in particular but I can't remember his name. Also, there was a handyman/builder who came in every morning with a couple of newspapers, no mask, no gloves no hand sanitizer???This was when the first covid lock down began, That must have been against the law then?I wish I had written this review a long time ago but my experience was not a good one and it does eat into me.All in all AVOID, not worth 2 grand a weekTHERAPY PRISON.Just wish I could have some money back but that's never going to happen,Didn't work, still drinking.
Nina gomes: £7200 I paid for my daughter for 28 day rehab , the first week was a washout because she was intoxicated, to which I HAD TO ALERT STAFF . Too many issues to list one of which is :Communication. Which quite frankly is appalling … and on discharge NO COMMUNICATION WHATSOEVER , despite an email requesting an update for compliance for discharge instructions .SAVE YOUR MONEY , and go somewhere else .
Peppy E: I was a shell of myself when I went into Liberty House Clinic, unsure how i was ever be able to go on. 28 days later, I walked out as a new person excited to be alive! I genuinely would not be here if it wasn't for the LHC team (special mention to Stephen, Kara, Goisha, Justyna, Taylor, Angie, Jade, Costas, and Jeanette)! I am so grateful for the journey they guided me and my fellows on, it is such a beautiful experience watching people around you recover too.If you see bad reviews don't be put off - rehab and recovery are very hard work. We addicts are so good at pointing the finger and not taking responsibility for ourselves when 9/10 times the fault is with us. We are indisciplined and lack structure. The team provides us with the structure and discipline we need! It can be a tough pill to swallow at first but if you follow the guidance of someone who clearly knows more than you about saving your life (and they do, otherwise you wouldn't be in rehab at the first place), you will have a life changing experience too.As a highly functioning addict who was privately riddled with depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts, it was difficult at first to take direction but it's the best thing I ever did for myself and my family. I wish you all the best of luck!
Musty Challinor: I was struggling vastly with depression, anxiety and addiction before entering. Although rehab is only the first battle, they have helped me massively to regain my health and personality back, I am forever grateful.
Emily Ash: A friend checked in for alcohol abuse and depression. The centre allowed him to have his phone every day which just meant he was not able to fully concentrate on recovery. The centre was not listening to us, the people who knew him, when we said he was telling us one thing and them another. Apparently they told him he didn’t even have a problem and that it was us that was the issue. Of course, after 4 weeks when he left he continued to drink so it was a complete waste of everyone’s time and money. The centre is not able to enforce anything and are only interested in the money.
Helen Swain: Entered liberty house with high hopes especially when they showed a lot of concern for my well being. I actually went to hospital whilst there and after my X-ray was told I had a broken collarbone but thought I'm definitely in the right place, boy was I wrong. All there were concerned about was getting me in group/class. On numerous occasions I asked to rest my collarbone and I there response was to issue me with warnings!! They have no medically trained people on site and when your detoxing your mental health definitely needs attention but there response was were a detox centre. Because I couldn't rest my collarbone I am now having to have an operation as it hasn't healed properly.
Deborah mary Ives: Your right it's bad in there. Your wife had no chance in there I heard. Where is the evidence as I been told she was bullied, made to Stay And was praised by staff. MANAGEMENT DIDN'T BOTHER SHOWING UP. DONT COME OUT BROKEN MOREMY MATE WAS GIVEN a razor blade who has history OF self harming AND Guess what happened, and they DIDN'T CALL AMBULANCE. HER MATE WAS ASKED TO LEAVE AS THEY SCARED OF A BULLY . STAY CLEAR. MY MATE STUCK in THERE scared for her.. bully still there what a joke. I been asked to write this help liberty house get back shutdown
Arron Reeves: My wife came back worse and upset being Bullied by someone in there. Staff believing a bully and making her stay in there and being accused of something she didn't do. Being threaten by staff about cctv. I want too see it then? Not being seen by management or interviewed. Who left my wife in a state for 2 days.Peter decided to turn up at 11.00 at night to call a meeting without interviewing my wifeI trusted you too look after her and she says staff were supportive and left to do what management should being doingMy wife did swear but at me on the phone and I will back that .my wife treats people with respect and hates upsetting anyoneBelieving scared people and I am disgusted how she was treated and full investigation should be done nowI expect half my money back and i want fall investigation into or I will take legal actions. Contact us soon and police were called at weekend.
Kieren Dixon: Can not mention enough how positive and helpful they made my recovery staff where brilliant and would recommend to anybody and everybodyThanks
Suzanne Clynes: My family member was impressed at the level of care he received but there was little or no support to family on the outside. I called and emailed several times asking for advice as to how best to offer support after the treatment and my calls were never returned
Ed Williamson: is best for alcoholics.. i was there 2 years ago. The staff were on the whole very good. One major flaw... be wary anyone who is suffering with a opiate addiction as they allow the patients afternoons out in the town every Saturday afternoon without staff supervision and the place is teaming with drug dealers.. quite a few of these vulnerable patients were nowhere near ready for this and I know that a few relapsed and were expelled from the clinic.. I got through it ok but felt really sorry for the poor souls who relapsed. These people need protection from themselves and I can understand that they have to leave the clinic eventually and stand on their own feet but it was far too soon and there should of been staff accompanying them round the town as happens in most other rehabs
Cheryl Hughes: I have mixed feelings about Liberty House, some staff including the manageress were absolutely lovely, however some were not! I have never felt so suicidal as when I was there due to this, I wanted to leave after the first week but I stuck it out with the help of a family members advice via phone calls..Before considering Liberty I wanted to know if going to AA meetings etc was compulsory , I was told it was advised but not compulsory, when there it was a different matter, I was made to feel 'disrespectful' and 'naughty' ( I'm 68yrs old ) for not wanting to attend meetings, I cried a lot... I was in a vulnerable state and needed compassion not disdain from staff. My counsellor was extremely kind and helpful, he respected my thoughts and advised me on different ways to cope, I have remained sober for 15months now..To conclude if you are thick skinned do not mind being 'picked' on by certain member of staff and can clean and keep your room tidy ( no one else bothers )then give it a try...I am still sober! so something worked!
Susie Bailey: I was terrified that I wasn’t getting the message but in the last week because of the excellent therapy from my counsellor in one to ones and the groups with other excellent counsellors too it all clicked into place. It’s not your luxury spa type facilities (and I like a bit of that) but it was more than comfortable and chef was very accommodating even for my picky needs. My third attempt at rehabilitation at other centres and Liberty House finally got through to the addict in me.
Gurpz Gaming: All the staff was amazing, Costas,Pablo,Dave,Sharon,Steve and the rest were all there for me, They are always in-site overnight too , Had a tooth ache and they had helped me straight away, Food was AMAZING! TOP CHEF. Thank you Rosie :) ... One day at a time for me 🙏🏽 !
Christina Lane: My stay at Libery House was an emotional rollercoaster. It was such an experience. I learnt so much from my 28days. And seeing everything alot different than I ever did before. Thank you very much for everything. Would highly recomend Libery House Clinic. It has changed my life. And the aftercare support is a must. Highlight if my week going to aftercare :) Thank you everyone for everything you've done for me !
Edwin Sharratt: I was at Liberty House Luton for 28 days from Oct to Nov 2019. I was there to seek help with multiple substance addiction. It definitely saved my life. From the minute I arrived to when I left I was treated with the utmost respect and compassion. From the support staff, cleaning staff, kitchen staff and all the way to the counsellors, everyone was always helpful and ready to give advice whenever needed. Make no mistake, if anyone reading this believes they may have a problem with addiction then his is the place to go. Again....it saved my life and many others as well. I will never forget my time here and am eternally grateful to Liberty House for helping me get my life back from the brink. This truly is where the magic happens.
Dean Mass: It was one of the most scariest decisions I had to make, but once in liberty house I was made to feel so welcome, a massive thank you to the therypists Sharon for her passion superman Steve for his observations Pablo for the inspiration and John for the total understandings of addiction but not forgetting Rosie the manageress who continuously guides the ship of hope to a place called serenity big up to all the support workers cooks and cleaners liberty house I'm for ever grateful amen XXX
