Hunters Lodge Country Boarding Kennels, Doggy Day Care, Cattery & Grooming Centre: what do users think?
Nigel Sharpe: I have been using Hunters Lodge for over 10 years and the level of service & care given to my dogs and my recently passed cat has always been outstanding. The are even nice to me as a mere human :). Well done to Richard and all the team for creating such a wonderful & safe environment that I can rest assured my furry family will always be taken care of. You wont find better care or your pets anywhere. Special thanks go out to Yvonne and Jack.Nigel, on behalf of Oliver & Cromwell. Yes they are Cavalier King Charles Spaniels
Paul Thompson: Our dog Ruby loves this placeShe never even looks back when we drop her offStaff are very friendlyWould recommend
Penny Elmes: We recently dropped our doggies off for the week while we were away. Our dogs, rupert and nancy, had a lovely time, they came back with wagging tails and smiles on their face!Definitely would recommend to any other dog owner!
Jim Leake: We have now used Hunts lodge a few times and a pleasure it is to.Ruby seems to always enjoy her stay and seems to not want to come home which is a good sign, well done guys.
Nancy Morrison: Our dog had a great time here.
Sophie Bedford: Brought our 4 month old German Shepherd here for his first time away from home. The staff were great at putting our minds at ease and sent pictures. He had a great time, especially at the doggy day care. Wouldn’t hesitate to bring him back for longer periods!
H: Great value for money. Dogs are well looked after.
audrey morris: The doggie day care and boarding facilities are exceptional. We were shown round , impressed by the services we introduced our gorgeous old english sheep dog.As we approach the security gates, Theo our dog will go wild..that is nothing more than confirmation HE LOVEs IT HERE. He is always shattered when he comes home, obviously he's out enjoying himself and not left in a kennel all day.We travel quite some distance, and to be honest not every kennel with care for our rather large Old English Sheep Dog.. he's 28kg, 18months old, puppy ways and has a coat that most people wouldn't even dream of looking after at boarding kennels. On site groomer, organised feeding stations and amazing dedicated staff not to mention administration practice to ensure the safety and welfare of each dog..the online booking system and profile I have never seen at any other kennels local to us is so easy to use.We wouldn't go anywhere else and I am sure theo our dog wouldn't be as happy as he is here.
Azzaria: Is good place for the money although I don't like the customer service from the main owner who is very unfriendly
Bev Sharrett: I am one of the passengers who was with j Morgan ( who left a review recently ) and thor was my dog , I’m not sure actually if he has a good stay or not , his treats were all still in the bag and I was never offered to be shown round so I can’t comment on the stay he had .However , we did email you a week or so before we put the review on but did not get a reply so Julie went ahead with the review .We were 4 minutes late as you stated , which we apologise for , but we work until 12 on Saturdays and Sunday and you are nearly an hour away . we brought the dog over in a tiny Peugeot and whilst driving realised it probably wasn’t reliable enough to drive on to luverpool , hence why we asked your staff if we could leave the car there and get another car brought over to us . Things happen . We were grateful to be able to leave the car , and it definately wasn’t parked over 3 spaces , it’s tiny ., there was a car parked next to us ( think a young girl who works with you ) and we parked straight next to her .We also have our own business on our own land , mot station and car repairs But if someone wants to drop their car off at 7am we will open an hour early , we often stay till 8 pm at night for pick ups , people leave their cars for weeks sometimes , because of family problems or they just haven’t got time to collect . I think maybe you need to Learn a lot more about customers relations and service and also inform your staff correctly on your procedures . I’ve noticed on other negative reviews you always seem to turn it round on the customer , which is also not good practice .Just a thought ,,, why don’t the staff stagger their lunch breaks incase anyone is late or needs help ? I can’t really comment cos I can’t remember any of us ever having a lunch break , without it being interrupted , it’s impossible when working with the public . I think as soon as your customer service and staff are informed correctly the kennels could possibly improve . I thought you were actually joking at first when you came up to my car , flabbergasted at the way you spoke to us .Maybe you could also look at gates where you press a button to let people in and out if need be ? We have them at work and are very useful . . Also a written short summary of each dog staying would be nice for the customers , as no one actually tells you anything .
Laurence Morrison: I have been disgusted by the review left by rude, ignorant and grammatically inept people! I have been using Hunters Lodge for many years and can only praise their professionalism, care, flexibility and good humour. The staff is simply outstanding and the owner a very dedicated and accommodating individual with a real passion and understanding of dogs ( I think he is a real dog whisperer).I have entrusted Hunters Lodge with my 4 months puppy back in April, she attends day care up to 5 days a week and absolutely adores it! I know that she is incredibly well looked after and wouldn’t take her anywhere else.
the Ramdoms: i took my dog here and the staff was so lovely , they took care of my dog so well and introduced him to some other dogs , one of the ladies who works there sent me lots of pictures of my dog and he looks so happy , i would definitely recommend, they have a cat but as well so if and of you guys are cat people i would recommend as well , my whole family take there dogs here because it’s so good
Tim Roberts: Left my 8month Italian Spinnone, Reggie with Hunters Lodge for just over 2 weeks, my first time leaving my dog in a kennels and have to say, They were really good, sent me photos of my boy while I was on hols, so reassuring, they answer email’s quickly so you don’t worry.A big thank you to all the staff that looked after him.Tim Roberts
Perry Pearcey: Always amazing. My Basset Hound Frederick loves it here.
emily thompson: I have only used Hunters Lodge once so far but I was really impressed with the service received and friendliness of the staff. They were also the only place in MK that I could find that would accept uncastrated males and they were happy to take on our 2 young entire Labradors for a daycare visit. Will definitely use Hunters Lodge again in the future.
Richard Morris: Had a bad experience with another kennels for our old english sheepdog, found hunters Lodge and they have been excellent and couldn't be more helpful and meet theos needs, can't recommend they highly enough
Natalie Standen: Wilf totally loves it Hunters Lodge, all of the staff are welcoming and friendly. I know I can call Yvonne or Richard with any questions; they are also very accommodating! It has been a huge relief to find this place, knowing Wilf is in safe hands is crucial to us and we know at Hunters Lodge he is.
Lynn Allman: The best kennels ever. Just left 2 dogs and 2 cats for 2 weeks. One cat is 16 and needs medication twice a day which was no problem to the team. My 3 legged dog had just had major surgery and was cared for as requested. Amazing team - would never go any where else - thank you for Lynn and animal gang x
Saman Sultan: Our little boy was very happy and really well looked after here! glad I've found a reliable doggy hotel for when we need to go on holiday :)
Sabin Tamang: Apologies for the late review 😃Me and my wife were very nervous to leave our dog Leo in January as he doesn’t get along with other animals and had not left home ever. We came across Hunters Lodge during our search for the right kennel for him.We were absolutely delighted soon after meeting the team and how they operate. The whole team is so lovely and they know what they are doing.Since then, we have left him twice for few weeks now and he absolutely loves it. It’s a holiday for him now, no muzzle and off the lead walking and running around huge fenced area. You have to be clear and precise on your animal’s behaviour, needs, routines, etc whilst getting them booked in and the team will look after them.I would highly recommend using the kennel.Book an appointment to view the facility and meet the team. This is will put you at ease instantly.Thank you again guys and we will see you in November
James Lomax: Richard & the team looked after our husky Lola brilliantly! When we got back to collect her she just wanted to show us what she had been upto instead of jumping in the car!! The massive secure outside space together with a team who obviously really care for the animals in their charge really set this place apart and we will have no hesitation in returning knowing that Lola’s having as much fun as we are on holiday!
