Buddy: I seldom write review but this one is something a must.My wife and I encountered fair amount of the bank's own inconsistence issues. The bank's hotline CS are simply unhelpful and time-wasting. We have to drive a long way to this branch fixing them.Big thanks for the wonderful help from stars like Lai, and very few others, who can apprehend and rectify this quickly. Great job to the great frontline client-listener who demonstrated their professionalism saving the banks' good virtue. That means far more than the money itself.
Wolf Cub: Queue in this place to speak with someone is ridiculous, 2 staff members were sitting at a desk not assisting anyone, one lady was assisting people but she was there with one person for the entire time I was there. After 20 minutes of standing in a queue I gave up as there was still 6 people ahead of me. Very dissatisfied with this branch. Never had this issue in my old branch.
Helen Demery: I went into the branch for assistance. The older gentleman on the front desk was 0 help. Kept repeating himself and was no assistance. Smirking at me in a high stress situation. I already have another bank account and will now be moving my direct debits to the other account and closing my HSBC account. Poor customer service does not pay

Since covid customer services has deteriorated across many organisations and it's completely lost the care to actually help their customers..... Too many computer generated servicesIt clearly says they have until the 17th Nov, and today is the 22nd and have not even receive a courtesy call for an explanation and every time you call the generated message say there is a 10 minute delay... But it's actually 1 hour to get through, so you can't even call to speak to someone because you don't have time to wait that long...Message from the online chatI can see your query is about the complaint related to the Balance transfer. Both were raised and being investigated at the moment. The balance transfer details have been passed on and our Disputes team who will contact you within 10 working days (excluding weekends and holidays). Today is the 8th working day and they have until 17Nov2022.The complaint has been raised for investigation. We respond to complaints as soon as we can although it can sometimes take up to eight weeks for the full resolution (each complaint will be viewed on a case to case basis). Rest assured that we’ll keep you updated and if we think it will take that long, we’ll let you know.Will there be anything else that I can check or do for you today?Up to 8 weeks to resolve an issue is an absolute joke, as the delay in this is having an effect on my Experian credit report which is not acceptable, and they say rest assured we will keep you updated.... Stephane Vayer: wanted to open an account for my 16 year old, tried to ring the branch using the "new customer" phone number given on the website and automated service ask for customer or card number!!! I kept ignoring the prompt to enter those numbers and waited for the option to talk to an advisor; been on hold for now 10 minutes so I am hanging up and will be looking for an other bank. No wonder most banks are closing given the way they loosing potential new customers.

It looked like he was trying to find a reason to reject us.He: Do you have a private landlord?We: Yes.He: No, we don't do this. Jo Whitham: Absolute chaos. Drove an hour to get here as they are they only bank that take cash. Waited half an hour. Hardly any staff there, totally overwhelmed. One of them had “gone missing” and left the customers sit for over an hour.Only to be told that they “don’t take cash on Saturdays” only during the week. I had received all the needed inputs regarding online account opening before couple of days from the bank staff and the experience today was super seamless. Mr. Horvath helped me with all the queries and ensured that my account is up and running along with the banking app. Banking experience with such talented staff gives more confidence to the customer and for choosing a reliable banker. Overall a great experience on opening the bank account.

Filip Kowalczyk: I've been trying to add my wife to my account for about three months now. I work full time and so does my wife so we're only available on Saturday. Every time we went to the bank they were either too busy or mysteriously closed. We finally got through last Saturday but according to them the two proofs of address that she had with her weren't good enough (apparently they will require a DNA sample soon to open an account). I've transferred all my direct debits to metro bank (which is brilliant, always open and happy to help) and closed my account! Absolutely horrible experience with this bank. Zero stars.

Gavin: New branch is more like an internet cafe. Only one counter tucked away on first floor that is not open on Saturdays, unable to get my cash out, told to come back during the week, but I work. Staff very arrogant and belittling, not a good experience at all. They forget I am lending them my money for free. Room for improvement, absolutely!
None of your Business: I have a brain injury so I get help from my bank they have Customer Care Experts for people with disabilities. They are a life line for me. I do not know what I would do without them.
Michael Held: Apparently this branch has been moved to a new location about 1km away! No warning to regular customers! Especially the elderly who go to the previous place where NW has been for years and years to find they have a long way still to go. They also appear to have less staff!

Derek Stuart: Recent experiences of 2022: Burned from coin sorter malfunction, cut on sharp edge- mentioned both occasions to staff who barely acknowledged. Seen post left on the table by the door, some of which marked CONFIDENTIAL and there for anyone to take away. As others have mentioned, confidential meetings in consultation rooms are with the doors open for all to hear.Queues... dear me... Sometimes you can be waiting for an hour as the cashier is desperately trying to persuade someone to have an appointment for a mortgage that they don't want.If you speak to the manager (and in fairness with the turnover of staff, this manager might not be there now) and ask for someone to call you back over mortgage, account, whatever- forget it and go bash your head against a wall instead.As for the good points- it's easy to park outside, although they are soon to move to a new location where even that won't be possible.

Moe Riaz: Both machines out of service, queue out to the door, they were trying to fix 1 of the machines that kept jamming, ontop of that customer in the queue with a large deposit to put in, it took about 40 mins of jamming and customers waiting, but they finally opened a counter.

Theresa Wright: Arrived at 9.15 to open 2 accounts for my grandchildren. Was advised I could have an appointment at 12.30. Its first come first served - so by 9.15 there is a 3 hour wait to open an account. Don't think this bank wants my custom - or my grandchildrens. What a waste of my time and petrol!!

I popped into Metro Bank earlier today here in Milton Keynes and I was stunned by the quality of service I received. Inkubaszi: What a ... Disappointment! There are 2 working windows. In line in front of me 18 old woman's who just seeking of attention, to chat cos they lonely and 95% of them was just withdrawing cash. On bank floor there was 3 attendances that should help with that, to take pressure of they colleges at windows. And all they did is avoid as possible to catch eye contact with any customer, and not a single one come to that long line... Overall I wait 37minites in line! In that time o saw a black and Indian looking lady that work for bank (those in the bank floor) Charing with themselves and ignoring customers for 8 minutes! I never ever was in a place like that! That's joke and a disgrace! Close that place or disciplinary fired all of the team, starting with menagement that allowing that circus!

SOO AE: Seeing all the reviews and I didn't think it was going to be that bad.I had an appointment with Mrs Dipti Singh and I booked the appointment about 2 months ago to open a joint account. Everything was terrible, at first she prompted my husband to open an account on the App, I asked her why she didn't tell me beforehand since she previously called to confirm the appointment and she really didn't have a reasonable response.So my husband kept trying to open an account online and kept experiencing delays. So she decided she would try to fill in the information on her system and open it manually which was what we already expected in the first place, we gave her his passport and drivers license and she still filled out the information wrongly. We came in at 9;30 and left at around 11am and the whole process was a mess. I kept thinking we shouldn't haven't bothered. Overall slow and inefficient service. If I could do everything on the App, why would I go into the branch in the first place. I was going to report this to the branch Manager but you all have confirmed that the entire staff is bad and that's a huge reflection on the Manager.

Brucey: Incredibly poor performance from Linda.Tried to get a closing statement for an account, told previously all they needed was an old bank statement (presumably because I have my ID on their system to verify my identity).Handed over my driver's licence which has my new address but she told me to come back with my passport. When I questioned her on where the logic is (since the passport has no address) she said my driver's licence wasn't vaild compared to what would be on her system.This would be true if I was trying to open and account, but not when I'm getting information and they already have my ID on file to identify me (I'm still trying to work out the mental gymnastics of the situation).Think she needs better training.

N Patel: Attended the Milton Keynes branch today with my husband 15 minutes before closing. We undertook quite a few transactions/opening accounts. The service given was so friendly and professional despite it being so close to closing time, we were not rushed and we were there until 12.25. Special thanks to the ladies who served us - Kelly & Emma!
Paul Collins: Despite the website saying the closing times is 4.45pm the MK branch closes at 3.00pm on Thursdays at least. Found this out after a special journey to open an ISA. Arrived at 15.10 to find it shut up.Beware!

Mafioso uk: Went from being the best bank to the shi*est bank in the UK. Used to be open 7 days a week with late opening hours to now 5 days a week part time hours. Complete joke of a bank. Banked with them for 20 years and now switching to METRO BANK.

Tharaphy Ngwe Soe: I had a very bad experience with one of the staff member from Santander. She was rude and belittling to me and my co worker. We work in the center MK and she came into our store and ask for center discount. I had to tell her we couldn’t honour it because Santander is not part of the Center Mk but The Intu bit. I explained it to her and she told me I had an attitude. I asked my manager and all we said was we are cracking down on it and she called us rude. She belittled my manager and gave us attitude. She was in uniform and showed us her Santander badge for the discount. We didn’t expect another customer service based person to be this rude. Scoffing at us and giving us attitude for not giving her discount. Santander please highlight where they can and cannot get discount. If she comes back in with that attitude we will not service her. It should be other customer service retailers supporting each other not behaving like this.

Hande Whitley: The customer service was incompetent, they phoned a number and together we were all made to wait there for over half an hour listening to the automated message saying all their lines are busy. They didn’t have a solution usually when physically going to a branch the customer care has priority phone access to departments in a different line than the customers have when they phone from their homes. This was not the case here. We kept on waiting for an indefinite time. It felt like we were made to give up because of time pressure and we weren’t offered any solutions other than an apology. It felt unbelievably insincere that the customer care assistant couldn’t honestly tell she wasn’t able to help in the first place but it felt like she made us give up with strategy.

However, when we wanted to deposit remaining 50 pound notes back to our account, they told me there is one fake note which is from them!All they said is that it was our responsibility to check notes in the branch and they would take no response once leaving from their door.I am going to switch my account, I cannot believe Santander any more.
Abi B: Service is terrible at CMK branch. Been banking with Santander my whole life. Now you can’t even get to a counter without being asked by two staff what your wanting to do and having to explain exactly what service you require and you have to now do this all in the front counter as if your privacy is no longer respected at Santander. Ed Humphreys: Arrived 2 minutes to 3 after rushing through the center. I just needed a bank statement as the useless app wasnt working either.I just had the door shut in my face with no remorse. Extremely disappointed

The costumers service is dreadful there was only one person to deal all enquires . I have to wait for over a month to speak to someone just to open a bank account its a joke ! Aaron Bailie: Absolute joke your banks are shut on the weekend. What do expect people to do who work Monday-Friday. Obviously you don't care. You can't even reset your phone number over the phone another absolute joke you have a customer service team that is supposed to help you over the phone yet can't do anything over the phone. Counter productive and a waste of time. Defeats the whole object.

Stefan Donchev: I went there on a Saturday morning for something very simple but I've faced the most unwelcoming person imaginable. Even that the bank was empty and there was no queue, she was extremely bored and almost offended, that I am bothering them with something that I could have done online, despite the fact that I have explained her why I preferred to speak to someone face to face. Bottom line - horrible service, zero customer facing skills. Popped across to Lloyd and sorted it out for a minute, no hassle whatsoever.

gum ball: This is one the many buildings which the banking service Halifax operate within, they offer a banking service for humans of a diverse crowd of races and breeds. They are really good for getting free pens from if you do not want to pay for your writing apparatuses, they work fairly well. Would not reccomend a Halifax bank account as nationwide are better

Natalie O'Sullivan: On Monday i made the decision to switch my bank accounts to Halifax, I already had a credit card and online banking with them. Once the new accounts were opened i realised they were not showing up on my online banking. I called Halifax, it turned out the address on the credit card and the new accounts were slightly different, causing them to not merge. I was told to go into branch and they will sort this out. So went into the Milton Keynes branch this morning. The gentleman behind the "help" desk was on the phone but still called me over to his desk while he was on the phone (holding the receiver to his chest). I told him the problem, he seemed uninterested and came across rather rude. He then told me that they cannot change my address until the switch was complete - WRONG! I explained that i was told over the phone, that it can be done now, again he refused to help. My guess is this phone call was more important - though i would have been happy to wait until he was finished with his call.I then decided i would pop to the Bletchley branch (inconvenient). There I was greeted with a smile and they fixed the problem within 20 minutes - so it could be done!
