You'll receive some of the best teachings, especially if you're lucky enough to meet Llama Jampa Thaye himself. Not to mention the residents are the loveliest people.

Tracy Gregory: I discovered the Kadampa Mediatation Centre several years back whilst my dad was seriously ill and I was finding things a little challenging. I understood benefits to be gained from meditation therefore visited a 'drop-in' class with an open mind, to try something new. What I found was a warm welcome and some good common sense.....I find regular attendance at classes is extremely grounding and brings you back to focus on the stuff in life which is important. One thing I have learnt is people over complicate their lives and keeping it simple is the key ...... thank you Kadampa

Kadampa Meditation Centre Manchester - Chorlton: what do users think?
Leah Stone: Lovely peaceful affordable lunchtime meditation in a lovely setting
Rash Cookin: Awful and culty. In a supposed meditation class we were subjected to repetitive ramblings, which included calling scientists "the enemy at the gate" and using made-up statistics to renounce and scoff at people who take anti-depressants. The so-called courses they run are just glorified tupperware sales-people reading from a single book, spouting trite metaphors and joking "we won't try to convert you"... That's exactly what a cult member would say 😬
Alessia Lezza: Kadampa Chorlton is a special and safe place to me where I can find peace and special people.
Yvonne zaman: I started meditation classes a few years ago and I volunteer in the cafe.Everyone is friendly and makes you feel at ease. The food is good, homemade soupsand cakes, sandwiches made with Barbikan bread.
Margret SE: They have free meditation on Sunday's.
Mick Miller: This is the long term home of the Kadampa budhists in Manchester. I go there to meditate with the support of their budhists monks and nun. They also have many volunteers. Food at the World Peace cafe is excellent.
Max Schofield: Seems very nice. Just went to check out exactly where the centre was as I intend attending courses etc. Cafe is nice although I only wanted a coffee.
stuart garner: Beautiful Oasis of Peace. Pop in for a tea or coffee. Who knows where it may lead?
Peter Knowles: Lovely, vibe and teachings.Always feel more relaxed after a visit.
R CE: Very special place
Will Coleclough: Lovely centre, lovely welcoming people, and fantastic teachings. Would highly recommend to anyone at any level of learning and practice.
Huw Davis: I've had two amazing teaching this week at KMC Manchester - one on Thursday from Jeff on self grasping and a second one on Saturday from Claire on exchanging self for others (or something like that!). Both of them are FANTASTIC and both touched me with their words. Thank you!!
Jake York: Lovely place with lovely people. Great energy and food 😊
michael mcmasters: Be careful lots of bullying goals on here practice by fake people and fake monks and nuns cash cow need to practice what they preach you scaremongering about karma blame their behaviour and scare you into thinking it's your, when it is their behaviour not yours do not let them bully please report it you will not have lots of people experience bullying here just like the Catholic church corrupt and cover up
Barbara Azzopardi: Very calming.Enjoy the meditation.
Helen Streeter: Very friendly Great place to switch off from it all
Martin Elly: A great place to find inner peace, inspiration and true happiness. Very welcoming and friendly.
Joy Bose: Its a beautiful centre with a nice vegetarian cafe snd bookshop. They run lots of different meditation programs.
Rowan Creative: The World Peace Café is a beautiful oasis of calm and cakes in the busy suburb of Chorlton. It's light and airy and full of sunshine on clear days, thanks to large windows to the front and rear of the venue. The food offered is vegetarian and vegan, but don't let that fool you into thinking it's not tasty. The salads, soups and dhals are amazing and the cakes are extraordinarily good. There's a wide selection of of teas and coffees on offer to accompany your nibbles, and plenty of options for children, as well as high chairs for the little ones.Customer service is excellent, as you might imagine in a café staffed by gentle Buddhists, and the overall atmosphere is relaxed, warm and welcoming. In my opinion it's one of the most pleasant places I've been to, and is perfect for light bites in a chilled environment - a lovely way to press the pause button on fast-paced 21st century life.
Rajna: A beautiful centre which Ive been visiting for a few years. Bright, full of light, Some good thought provoking talks and a great cafe too.
Julie Henson: I ❤ this centre, always welcoming. A beautiful main room that always feels peaceful 💖 & brings such calmness 💕 thank you. The cafe makes delicious food too! Xx

Rapha Gabriel Benjamin: Wonderful peaceful tranquil centre in which you can practice mindfulness meditationHeaven
Ann Mcloughlin: A little nervous as expected meditation group that we went to was very different from what I've experienced before, need more information and understanding this process , Will be calling again, and also working with meditation and also being comfortable in that process, wow very I opening, as to being with your self and all thoughts and movements, it's not easy it's hard , to be in the moment of your thoughts bringing it back to your abdomen, as in , Focus of breathing in breathing out, wow this is hard to do as your mind wonders constantly, not to sure if this is me but will not give up to soon, , May I just say I wonderful welcome thank you, Ann,
Joy Bose: They have meditation classes every week and also longer 10 day vipassana retreats over the Christmas and Easter holidays. The meditation teaching is in the authentic mahasi sayadaw style. The venerable and volunteers are friendly and helpful and would answer any questions regarding meditation etc. This is one of the best places in Manchester to learn Buddhist vipassana meditation.
Sam lever Apier: Good
