Old Wellington Manchester: what do users think?

John (john1million): Lovely place in the city centre, with nice food and a cracking pint!We usually have the fish and chips which are consistently lovely.

Asad Jan: Built in 1552, The Old Wellington is the oldest building of its kind in Manchester. Once home to some of the founders of Manchester commerce, the people behind the city’s first bank, and the cotton industry, it’s safe to say that our pub has witnessed Manchester’s fascinating history first hand.Originally built next to the Market Square, in 1554 the building became part of a draper’s shop owned by the Byrom family. In the 17th century, a third storey was added, and in 1830, the building finally became a licensed public house. The rest, as they say, is history.Did you know our building was moved in 1998? The half-timbered, Grade II listed building was completely dismantled and moved around 100m from its original site during a redevelopment programme.

Craig and Justine: Atmosphere: 5/5

DnD_Beyond_Is_Bad: Nice pub in one of the oldest buildings in Manchester. It says the building has been renovated and moved a bunch, but the old-timey charm is still there.Good food and drink selection.

Paul “Pablo” Butler: I've given five stars not because it's a 'fine dining' experience but because it was great at what it does which is serve great pub food at affordable prices in a clean environment with a nice range of beers all served by friendly staff.Nothing more to be said.

Maria Hatcher: I was visiting on my own to Manchester and didn’t know anyone.. I was recommended to come to the ox by a work colleague and the staff were very welcoming! The manager John made sure that I was looked after.I had drinks at the bar and was served by Jamie, Faith and Sion. They were funny and made me feel at homeDefinitely will be coming back!

Mulligans: what do users think?

Daniel Russell: Lovely Irish pub with lots of atmosphere and the hurling on tv. Expensive pints of Guinness though.

Andrew Kane: I have been coming to this Irish pub on and off for 30 years. Great Guinness and live Irish music.

Dylan Ashton: Love the music everyone friendly and love the drinks

John Concannon: A nice spot. It's cozy and the staff are fantastic. Nice band too!

jyotin singh: Visited on a crowded evening. Queue time was approximately 15 mins.Bar was packed with restricted space to move about, but that's expected on a weekend evening and from a facility that is a popular institute.Went for the Guinness, loved the pint.Would like to visit when it's less crowded.

Aaron Proudfoot: was soooo good. Went down a treat. Gets packed in there but it's all part of the atmosphere. We enjoyed the beer garden for a bit more breathing room and got chatting to other like minded reds who we didn't know previously. Honestly this will be my go to match day boozer now, I hadn't been previously. Will defo be back!

Kamil D: You have to pay For entry, strictly Unite fans only. No half - half scarfs fans will be let in. Great atmosphere before the games with singing fans in far corner.Kid-friendliness: Definitely not for young children. Loads of drunken men singing United songs.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
