Malmaison Manchester: what do users think?

Claire: We had a meal here in the private Ember lounge for a hen do - Julie was so helpful in organising this & was accommodating to every request as well as very prompt with replies. The team were so friendly & helpful when setting the room up before & it had great facilities. The food was delicious & had a great choice of options to cater for all needs. The value for money was amazing & everyone commented on how lovely it all was. The location was also great for people needing to get trains home as it across the road from Piccadilly station. Thank you again to all the team for making my friends hen do one to remember!

David: Rooms: Nice comfortable room, but unfortunately no proper control over the air con.Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …

Sajid Mahmood: My review is for the Spa.I had a pleasent treatment. Jenny was fantastic. Jenny was professional and very purposeful in here treatment packages. I felt she was using her experience to offer treatments and advise that was most suitable for the customers.Well done...Thank you

ADAM WHITWORTH: , great food and drink. The flexibility around our accessibility and dietary needs was second to none and made a huge difference.Thankyou!

Guille Cap: excellent attention ! especially Diego, Elena and Alben! a pleasure to have met you.

leonardo maria de paolis: open 24 hrs and conference rooms. The breakfast is really good and the service is great and they are all prepared and ready to help.I was expecting more from the rooms though: mould spots in the shower

A G: Rooms are spacious and clean.Good choice of continental breakfast, pastries, hot food etcI wish they’ve had more fresh veggie options available.Walkability: Perfect location, near the station and on a quiet road

J G: Great service and staffHotel highlights Luxury …

Liv Telford: Lovely hotel - as expected with a Hilton. The location just wasn’t the best as we was on the side of the hotel which looked over the tramline. Trams pass by until past midnight and they’re pretty loud. The room was very clean, the bathroom was brilliant, and most importantly - the bed was comfy, the pillows felt like big clouds! The price was great - for a twin room for two nights it was around £200.Nearby activities: Within walking distance of Gay Village and Piccadilly Gardens. We stayed here to also be quite close to the O2 Ritz venue which is also next to Gorilla & Dog Bowl. Great location activity-wise.

pauline moorcroft: Love love love it here, sad about no bananas or kiwis at breakfast, that's the only gripe I have, the beds were so comfy, didn't want to get up to go for breakfast. Rooms very clean.Nearby activities: Loads to do in Manchester, great stay for venues.Walkability: 10 minute walk to 02 ApolloFood & drinks: We didn't use the bar but breakfast was good.

yurong hsu: , I happened to meet the housekeeping staff coming to clean our room. I took the opportunity to consult with this young female employee and mentioned that the cold weather in the UK was making us uncomfortable. Not only did she kindly explain how to operate the heating, but she also offered to provide an additional portable heater if needed. When we returned to the room later that day, it was tidily arranged - with an extra heater added. At that moment, despite the cold in Manchester, my wife and I felt warmly comforted, and it made our stay much more comfortable for the next few days. I do not know the name of the employee, but we are very grateful for her proactive assistance. I hope the hotel sees this message and, in addition to conveying our thanks to her, can also acknowledge her work positively!

george flynn: I spent 2 nights here with my partner and we both said that we will definitly book to stay here the next time we are in Manchester. The buiding is beautiful, the room was perfect, a walk in shower as well as a bath. The breakfasts were fantastic. The staff were so friendly and helpful - they looked after our bags after we checked out until we returned for them later in the day. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, as it was such a pleasure to stay here and superb value for money. Thank you, i look forward to staying here again in future.

Colin Farrell: Excellent dinner tonight. Service outstanding by Kayleigh and her team. Nice atmosphere in restaurant, food fairly basic hotel fare but good quality and plenty on choice. No cash payments which is a bit of a pain, but such is life.Spotlessly clean and nice outside seating, even on a chilli nightFood & drinks: Good selection on menu. Bar drinks not so great as not great pint. Service outstanding by Keiligh and teamNoteworthy details: Excellent facilities, WiFi and parking

Ricky Martin: Rooms: Nice rooms and comfy beds.Hotel highlights Great value …

Zubair Mithun: I am giving 5 stars only because of Kelley, who served me during breakfast today in the lobby. She was friendly and helpful, and I can continue writing about her countless positive attributes. Kelley’s attention to detail impressed me, especially offering me alternative options and ensuring my food had the right temperature. She is a real gem and a massive asset to the organisation.

Shona Chevalier: shampoo and conditioner which are good quality products but it looks like the mounts they are on have not been cleaned for months and are covered underneath in brown grime .The bedroom and sitting area are a good size and you have plenty of room if you have work to do , the chair is comfy . Plenty of electrical sockets .Mini fridge in the room which is brilliant and plenty of lights in the room .The bed is an ultra king and is huge , the mattress is so comfy but it’s let down by a duvet that is very thin and worn and the pillows are awful . They are lumpy and obviously poor quality and very old .Nice tv in the room and a kettle with tea and coffee , also cold bottled water in the fridge. The room also has wifi and a safe in the wardrobe which also has an ironing board and iron in it . The room has plenty of storage space and a big wardrobe .The room is well decorated and a nice size with a huge window which overlooks the car park .Again the downside is the cleanliness of the room , the table next to the window has coffee stains on which I cleaned myself , this is just basics when it comes to cleaning the room . The hallway on the third floor was also a mess and desperately needed hoovering and rubbish lifting that for some reason guests had left in the corridor.Noteworthy details: Reception - staff at reception were lovely and very friendly . I asked directions to the nearest shops and asked about parking and they were happy to help . Also very smartly dressed for their public facing roles .The car park is at the back of the hotel , it’s £10 for a 24 hour period . It’s not very big for the size of the hotel but they told me there is other parking available of the car park is full .The reception area and bar / dining area are very well kept and very clean .

The Edwardian Manchester, A Radisson Collection Hotel: what do users think?

Will Daulphin: The Edwardian is somewhere I’ve wanted to stay for a while and it was a great experience. The rooms are lovely and well furnished, with the coffee machine Nespresso being a welcomed addition. Also the walk in shower was great, along with the automatic blinds. As for the rest of the hotel, the lobby and the spa are brilliant, with the gym being top also. The only complaints I would have is that our rooms AC never really got that cold, so there were times that the room was quite warm, but not unpleasant. Also the pool area got super busy despite the hotel requiring hourly slots from the attendees. This meant we could never really relax as much as we wanted to unfortunately. People were overstaying their hours times and leaving towels on beds whilst leaving to go elsewhere, so there was a bit of a queue of people loitering about inside the pool waiting for beds to become available and it all felt a bit rushed unfortunately.Otherwise, brilliant stay at a lovely hotel, and the staff were great.

Beatriz Tames: Beautiful lobby, staff very kind and helpful. Great breakfast buffet.

Sarah V: Really enjoyed my stay here! The hotel was spotless and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! Only issue I had, was the shower kept going hot and cold. Will definitely stay here again!Nearby activities: Plenty of food places nearby, and is about a 10min walk into the centre

Franco Lo: We stayed in the hotel for 1 night in Mid Feb. The room was very spacious and it's located in the city centre right next to the China Town with a 5 mins walking distance.Staff were really helpful and friendly as well, especially for Rebecca. She even recommended some local decent cuisine for us and she was very kind and professional. Big up to her ! Highly recommend people to stay here whilst visiting Manchester.Rooms: Rooms were spacious. The lighting is enough but could be improved if more lamps were put in the room to make it slightly brighter.

John Lauder: A good hotel. A one night stay, food all good. I ate in the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location in city centre.Walkability: Easy to walk around city centre

li shen: The hotel is right next to Chinatown, the transportation is relatively convenient, and Rebecca's service attitude is very good! The hotel is right next to Chinatown, the transportation is relatively convenient, and Rebecca's service attitude is very good!

GRACIA PORTA SALAS: A completely renovated hotel with an excellent location. There is no restaurant but the rooms are equipped with a mini kitchen and there is a coffee maker, kettle, tea, sugar. There is also a microwave, refrigerator and utensils for eating.Every day from 6 to 7 the hotel offers a glass of white, red or cava wine at reception.Nearby activities: In 10' on foot there is the "cavern quarter"Safety: At no time have we had any feeling of insecurity in the cityWalkability: You can visit the city on foot without any problemsFood & drinks: There is a lot to offer throughout the city

Margaret Mckee: Stayed here on the 9th of February Absolutely loved staying here perfect location beautiful rooms staff so friendly been visiting Manchester for the last 8 years lorna at reception was so polite friendly very good customer services just made me feel so welcome and for this I will be using this hotel every visit Thankyou Lorna appreciate everything you done margaret

Michael Holden-Jones: Stayed for one night for a visit to the theatre. Check-in staff were very friendly and helpful as were the all other staff we encountered. The room was a good size with a large bathroom with walk in shower. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room too.Only negative comment is the room has a limited number of power outlets available to use simply because some of them are the very old round pin variety; these should be changed over to the new standard 3 pin square type.Rooms: Good sized room, large bathroom with walk in shower. Some power sockets in the room are the old round pin type so not useable with any 'modern' appliances.

Grant Seastram: Overall, it was a decent experience. The room itself was quite noisy, lots of background noise.Staff super friendly.Good quality breakfast

Angela Hutchings: and special thanks to John who was there for us late at night and could not have done any more for us. I have already recommended the hotel to friends and family.Walkability: Great central location

Rygo Angelo Murillo: Hotel highlights Great view

Michal Stepien: The hotel is located right next to the Old Trafford stadium. I assume that the vast majority of people choose this hotel because of their visit to the stadium. Rooms clean. A kettle, coffee and tea are available in the room. Iron. Refrigerator. Nice and helpful service. The only comment concerns breakfast - the breakfast option included in the room price includes only a croissant and coffee - to put it very simply. It is possible to order an additional breakfast set, but it is also a very monothematic option - omelet, sausages, etc. Additionally, on match day the hotel is full of fans. The restaurant turns into a pub. If you are lucky, you can buy a ticket for a meeting with former MU stars organized by the hotel owners, because these are also former MU stars from Sir Alex Ferguson's squad, such as R.Gigss or the Neville brothers. Generally, I recommend it, because it is a great adventure in itself when you look from your room window at the MU stadium, which is only a few meters away from you.

Terri cloake: The staff were amazing and all very welcoming. The food was outstanding the chef did an amazing job.Food & drinks: We were in suit 92 and it's was a fantastic day from start to finish

Dakota: what do users think?

Philippa P: Loved staying at Dakota for the first time. Had the king garden room with a terrace. I had a very pleasant experience staff are very friendly and helpful.Rooms: There was so much space. You don't get a mini bar stocked like you do with the executive and higher. There was a nespresso machine and some milk in the fridge. No water, though. Bedroom was presented well lots of space.Food & drinks: Got room service for breakfast the next day was gorgeous and the best room service breakfast I've had with good quality food. The scrambled eggs were the best. Will come back again and for the food.

Tom Langley: My partner and I visited the Dakota Hotel in February 2024 as we were visiting Manchester for her birthday. When we entered the hotel, the lady who checked us in was kind, friendly and accommodating - we felt incredibly welcome and she really went the extra mile for us!The room was absolutely incredible; it had all the amenities that we needed and was very clean. The bed was super comfortable and we loved the rainfall shower. The balcony was excellent, especially as we both like to get fresh air when we can!And last but definitely not least, the food. We had the breakfast and both loved it - super tasty and staff were lovely here as well. We then had dinner at the Dakota Bar and Grill, and oh my word, the food we had was absolutely amazing. My partner went for the chicken and I went for the steak, both dishes were fantastic and did not disappoint. I also really like how the staff went the extra mile as it was my partner's birthday.Overall, I would highly recommend the Dakota Hotel, be it for accommodation or even just for the food. It will definitely be my first choice for luxury hotels when visiting Manchester, which I intend to do often this year!

rebecca garvey: Fab experience for a weekend breakaway. The food was insanely good as were the cocktails, cigar bar and fab terrace with a lovely fire and cosy blankets. The thing though that stood out the most, which has been lost in many London hotels was the customer service, a special shout out to the bar man I think his name was Scot a lovely local guy who was full of recommendations. Thank you, would definitely recommend for anyone staying in Manchester

rich: , but enjoyed some time in the cigar lounge. It is beautifully designed to not be only visually attractive but to also facilitate fresh air without wind or rain disrupting your time.Hotel highlights Luxury, Quiet …

Sam Mod: We ate here at the restaurant for Valentine’s Day, I came here last year with friends, but this time I took my fiancé as I knew she would like it.I never write reviews but honestly this was one of the best dinners I’ve had in the last few years. We ordered the chateaubriand and the ribeye. Both cooked perfectly and the side dishes were lovely too.The ambiance in Dakota is so nice, dark and cosy, but also elegant. I’ve never stayed in the hotel but wow would I recommend the restaurant to anyone!

Rebecca Dursley: We always have an amazing stay at Dakota - it’s always our number one choice of hotel. The staff, food, cocktails and service are second to none and a special mention to Tom who always goes above and beyond for us.See you guys soon!

Kim Vainionpää: Hotel staff is very customer orientated providing a good guest experience. I recommend to stay here.Well kept hotel in a good location, easy to navigate Manchester City centre simply by walk. You don’t need to stay near Piccadilly Station, stay here.I recommend to book superior room: you get comfortable room with best views and amenities. Only minor issue was the small gap between a door and floor to the hallway but I slept undisturbed.Decent breakfast with an omelette of your choice.Walkability: Easy to navigate via Deans Gate whole city centre.Noteworthy details: In the end of January there was scraffoldings on the riverside wall. And next to the hotel a skyscraper construction on day time only.

Sandra Johnstone: Only having one lift working was irritating but that is going to be rectified.Rooms: Plenty of hot water. Room was clean but sink in bathroom didn't drain freely.Instant coffee in the room was poor.Walkability: Easy walk into Manchester Shopping areas.

Dizzy Ed: Lovely and full of character and very luxuriousRooms: Good size luxurious roomWalkability: Local to everything you need or short cab ride away depending on what you want

Nathalie penchenat: Quiet hotel and very well located. Spacious room, very comfortable bedding. Warm welcome and responsive and very smiling staff.Address to remember to returnNearby activities: Accessible visitsSafety: No complaintsWalkability: Very close to the center and its shops

Wendy Peskett: Very good location.Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, modern and spacious. Only issue was no hanging space. The bathroom was open plan. There were free drinks included in the fridge, and I wasn't aware they were free. There is a Gino D'Campo restaurant on site.First night was very quiet. The second night, even though I was on the 8th floor, I could here music from the restaurant launch until midnight. The breakfast was buffet style. My favourite part of breakfast is eggs, so it was disappointing that only hard boiled or scrambled eggs were available. I've had much better choices at breakfast. Vegetarian sausages were available if asked for, but they were overcooked and quite a bland make. No vegetarian bacon available.Good fruit selection. Loads of different sliced meat, but I don't eat that, great choice if you do.

L B: Fab hotel with very friendly and helpful staff throughout the day and evening which made my stay in Manchester very pleasurable. Great location near tram station, bars and restaurants and shopping. Rooms very clean, fresh and modern. Open bathroom which worked and room felt spacious. Only issue was to switch toilet light on there was a light on outside in bedroom area which could wake up other guest. I used my phone at night. Thick walls so no noise from neighbouring guest rooms or corridor. Fridge with drinks included in package. Didn’t have breakfast but used late night bar….again great service and friendly staff, great choice of drinks etc. Restaurant looked busy and would like to try next time. Would recommend and I definitely would stay again.

AU: . Under such circumstances, this hotel cost just under 20,000 yen including breakfast and dinner using the early bird discount. The location is between Deansgate and Oxford Street, close to both stations. The room was a standard room, but it was spacious and comfortable. There are two types of showers: one that falls from above like a waterfall, and the other a regular shower head, and you can switch between them. Water pressure is sufficient. There was no problem with the toilet flushing. The room, bathroom, and bed were all large and comfortable. Three types of juice

Christopher Law: / anyone else others the who send my lost property back to me when I'd left it behind. This hotel isn't glitz and glam, its price represents what you're getting, we stayed on new years day, 5 people in the group paid on average £43pp, in Manchester you just can't find those prices. As long as we had a bed we were happy. On the other hand in our particular room it had a tv, kettle, iron, etc, it was more than well equipped for the price.I would say if you book this hotel you need to be happy with a 'rough around the edges' sort of hotel experience, don't be expecting what you get or hilton or of the big chains - I've stayed in some fancier places but most of the time I'm out the room,All said and done it got the job done for us, and if you're not spending £££ don't expect some 4 star hotel experience. Price represents what you get. On the other hand if the price is similar to more luxurious bookings and you want that, definitely choose other options.

Nathaniel Freeman: .I'd recommend against getting the dinner package, it's not great value for what the options are, and as I said the breakfast was lacking.Would I stay here again, maybe, but there are other hotels, there's no gym which feels odd for a new hotel, the WiFi was spotty and unreliable, I'd definitely skip out on any food and just go out into town instead.Rooms: Boutique feel, nice quality bed, good sleeps, questionable air con/heating accuracy and controlWalkability: Right in the centre so easy to get everywhereFood & drinks: The breakfast items during the week were super low qualityThe dinner didn't feel value for money, with lots of out of stock items and super slow service.

susan akkaya: Stayed at the Brooklyn hotel a few yrs ago and really enjoyed the stay breakfast was inc at this time so I felt we had got our moneys worth. Booked for 1 night last night but quite disappointed with the stay there was no breakfast inc this stay although for the price we paid you would think it would have been inc. The bedroom door had a noticeable gap between the door and frame so the corridor lights were shining through during the night . There was also a shortage of tea/coffee sugar and milk in the room which we mentioned while checking out. The lady on reception was a bit ignorant when we told her she wasn't as pleasant as some hotel reception staff.Rooms: As above

Perfect location too be able too do almost anything anywhere you like in ManchesterWalkability: All forms of travel right on the door stepFood & drinks: Excellent food fantastic breakfasts
