We realise there are owners who need training or behaviour support for their dogs, but who are unable to afford the costs associated with these services. If you are looking for help with your dog’s training or behaviour, and need some financial assistance, please apply for our discounted classes.

At Dogs Trust we train dogs using reward based methods, and do not advocate the use of any training equipment which changes behaviour by causing pain or fear in dogs.

Dogs which are trained with rewards enjoy learning - they are a partner in the training sessions and often 'offer' new behaviours to see if they get a reward.

Reward based training works to change behaviour and enhances the bond between dog and owner.

We also make sure you get the support and resources you need to help you in our classes and beyond. These courses include access to our owner support hub to enable a strong start to your training.

At Keegans-Knines puppy classes and dog classes, we develop all aspects of on and off the lead control. Our aim is to help you and your dog achieve a long and happy partnership through training and or 1-2-1 sessions. We aim to help you understand your dog's needs and to develop a well mannered dog . Our classes now take place inside and outside. You will get lots of individual help at our classes. We use modern & kind, positive reward based training. No harsh handling is ever used in our classes. We do not just teach basic exercises, we teach life skills, things that you need when out an about in every day life.

We teach you how to bond, communicate and and have fun with your dog using simple and kind methods. All dogs and owners are individuals, what works for one may not work for another, so we find a way that will work for you and your dog. Training needs to be fun for the owner and the dog as well. You will learn how to train and understand your dog in a friendly atmosphere and the control needed for a happy relationship.

Our goal is to help you create an "everywhere" dog. A dog that you feel happy to take anywhere whether it be the park, or to a friend or family members house.

Humans and dogs are very similar, we both need mental and physical stimulation and companionship. Just like us they can develop bad habits when they are bored. Dogs are constantly learning whether they go to a training class or not, so make sure your dog is learning the correct behaviours. Start the way you mean to go on, set the rules from day one with your pup and be consistent, patient and clear. Prevention is always better than cure. Having a dog is fun, if you feel that you are no longer enjoying your dog, or he has developed bad habits, you do not have to put up with it, give us a call and we can help you.

We are fully qualified and insured in all aspects of the training offered at our centre. Our training includes agility training, puppy classes, problem solving, 1-2-1 and group sessions. Personalised training sessions can also be arranged as we understand that every dog is different! Alongside our training services, we also offer dog day care where your dog can spend the day with us. This can also include training sessions if required. The dogs will have a structured day meaning set play times, set feed times and set training times.

4worldlovers: The Family Dog is a small, friendly organisation offering dog training services and dog behaviour consultations in and around Redbourn, Hertfordshire.

At The Family Dog, our aim is to help you to develop your dog’s natural behaviour so that he can become an even better family pet. We believe that much of the pleasure of owning a dog comes from sharing in its natural enthusiasm for life and that on many occasions dogs should be allowed just to be dogs. However in order for dogs to live happily with their families, we do need to teach them how to behave appropriately in all situations. We will help you to train your dog to be calm and well-behaved when necessary whilst still allowing him the freedom to let off steam regularly.

We currently offer 1-to-1 training and behaviour consultations. 1-to-1 training will either take place at your home, or at our centre in Redbourn or in a local park, depending on your needs. At our training centre you can take advantage of our secure paddock, which is perfect for letting dogs off the lead safely during training. Behaviour consultations will take place at your home. Our working hours are between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Dogs learn best when they are relaxed and having fun therefore all our training is done using positive, motivational training methods. With this in mind, we use a range of rewards including food, toys and verbal praise to encourage dogs and to reward them when they offer the right behaviour. We do not use any methods involving punishment or harsh handling. We want dogs to enjoy their training!

Our objective is that both dogs and owners will look forward to their training and that everything learnt should be useful when you leave the training class. We will help you help your dog to know how to behave appropriately whether you are at home, out walking or even in the pub. In essence, we will teach you the skills to give you the confidence that your dog will be relaxed and in control in any situation.

We travel for home visits, dog training, puppy training and behaviour consultations in Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire, including Redbourn, Harpenden, St. Albans, Hemel Hempstead, Luton, Dunstable, Berkhamsted, Watford, Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City.
