After the article devoted to atypical and unusual hotels in London, here is the tour of the unusual and secret bars that I appreciated for their settings, their concepts or the quality of their cocktails.

Once again, I have not been invited or paid to talk about these bars and therefore my words are free!

Cahoots a secret bar hidden in a metro station

Cahoots is a secret bar hidden away in the Soho neighborhood, a short walk from Carnaby Street.

The originality of this bar is that it is located in the former Kingly Court underground station which served as a shelter for the population during air raids during the Second World War.

The vast majority of cocktails are original creations presented in vintage containers, such as flasks, milk bottles or even cups.

The Mayor of Scaredy Cat Town is hidden in the basement of the Breakfast Club restaurant. So to discover the other side of the decor, you will have to announce the password that will open the door of the SMEG brand fridge and take you to the cellar of the restaurant!

People come more for the place and the concept of the bar than for the originality of the cocktails. The setting remains friendly and pleasant.

The Attendant for a coffee in an old Victorian toilet

A few steps from Oxford Street, The Attendant has been installed since 2013 in a former public toilet from the Victorian era.

The bar has retained certain elements of the place such as for example the porcelain urinals which today serve as individual counters, the toilet flushes which serve as cache pots and the former room of the lady-pee which has been converted into a cozy space where you can taste their salty or sweet specialties.
