Mick Cannon: I bought a Jacket off the shelf from the showroom in London as I needed a jacket to wear straight away. After six weeks the jacket started to fall apart. I sent it back to the workshop to be repaired and four weeks later I still have not received it back. I payed a lot of money for a jacket that is not keeping me warm when I really need it. Very bad

Julian Holchaks: Ordered a leather jacket which they said they could custom make. I sent a list of requirements. Jacket arrived. Not made as I requested. We agreed a partial refund. 3 days later the zip went. 3 emails later no response. If you have other options I would take them. Poor.
Zaid Bari: Bought 2 jackets from here. The leather started to go white after a few days and at the price I paid this was unacceptable. Especially as I have 17 genuine leather jackets from other brands in my wardrobe. They recommended a special leather cleaner which I used but it did not solve the problem. The leather was poor quality. After 2 weeks the zip went and on the other jacket a stud fell off after 3.5 weeks. Really upset about this. Could not obtain a refund. Would not buy again.

Jimmy Lee: I recently ordered the infinity men’s bomber jacket. After a couple of e-mails which Tariq answered immediately, I phoned through to place my order, as I needed certain alterations to the standard size. Hakim took my order, the necessary measurements, and told me the jacket would be made the next day (Saturday, their ‘alteration’ day). The jacket would then be posted either Monday or Tuesday. I was surprised and very impressed when it turned up the following Thursday. Not only is it the softest goatskin leather, but I got it in blue, which I’ve been looking for for ages! The fit is perfect, and the quality outstanding. There’s also a zipped inside pocket for wallet/mobile phone! I would recommend Upperclass Fashions to my family and friends, in fact to everyone, without hesitation. If you want quality garments at an affordable price, you know where to go. On top of this, their customer care service is also top class! What an excellent choice I made! 😀

Mike Dear: I ordered a leather jacket online from Upper class fashions and it arrived where we live on the Isle of Wight, within 3/4 days. After about the same period of time, I decided it wasn’t quite big enough and it wasn’t comfortable so I got in contact with the shop in Bethnal green road and spoke to Sarah there, telling her that I wanted the next size up.. She was very good and and said no problem although we had cut off an inside label and thrown the original packaging away! She gave me the address of their warehouse in Purfleet which is where I had to return it! I received the larger jacket which is perfect within again 3/4 days.. It should always be this way but as everyone knows, many times it isn’t!! I will definitely use them again. Mike.

Cromford Leather Company: what do users think?
Jeremy Stowe: Cromford Leather Company - I am pleased to write a short review giving an extremely high recommendation to the excellent services I recently encountered. I gave them an expensive Zegna leather jacket to repair, bought overseas, where the leather had dried out and one entire side needed replacing. This was made complicated by two colours, a black outside and red leather interior with pockets. The repair leather matching and the stitching was perfect, a 100% effective repair. The repair cost was reasonable, the staff helpful and responsive and they met the deadline that I requested. Great company, great service and great craftmanship, highly recommend!
Renato Bernardin: Fantastic work performed by Pauline and her team. I had lost some weight and had two davourite Leather Jean Jackets and two favourite Leather Blazers adjusted to look better on my new frame. Highly recommend.
Shooze 123: I bought a black leather sports jacket from Cromford about 18 months ago. So, this review is long overdue! We were visiting England on holiday for two weeks in October 2017. While visiting a local tailor in London, I asked for a referral to a good leather tailor. The first name he gave me was Cromford. We visited all three referral’s he gave us but, were blown away by Cromford and Pauline. I am 6’ tall with a 37” sleeve length. As a result, it’s almost impossible for me to buy anything off the rack. This is especially so with leather jackets. When I saw the quality of the leather, the workmanship and the names of some of their clientele, it was obvious Cromford Leather was the right choice. So, buying a made to measure leather jacket is not a quick process. We had to head back to the states in 8 days. And, the measuring and fitting process, along with the test fit can’t be done within a day or so. Knowing we were on a short schedule, Pauline and team worked to have a test jacket ready for fitment upon our return to London 7 days later. We immediately headed for Cromford upon our return. They had the test garment ready for me. After making some very slight modifications, she confirmed the jacket would be ready to mail to me a few weeks later. Being a very expensive investment, it was a bit nerve wracking to leave London and wait for weeks to receive a jacket that might not fit. The end of the story is I couldn’t be happier with the jacket! Perfect Fit!!! Extraordinary quality!! Fantastic leather! I get compliments on the jacket from men and women alike every time I wear it! They may be a bit pricey, but you can’t go wrong with Cromford, Pauline and her team! They are worth every penny. I can’t wait to go back for my next jacket(s)!
Ross Tyrrell: I had a really good shopping experience at General Leather Company. I was assisted by a female member of staff who was very helpful and friendly. I was free to try on whatever I wanted without the "hard sell". I have been on the look out for a decent Sheepskin Coat for ages and have been very disappointed with the products available on the market. I picked up a really nice sheepskin in the sale for a decent price and I am very impressed with the quality and workmanship. My only criticism is that some of the styles on offer are a little outdated and it would be nice to see a few more modern designs.
Adam Calderhead: Spent a lot of time comparing leather jackets from luxury brands, nothing came close to the quality of Cromford. Had my jacket a few months now, no regrets at all in spending a serious ammont of money for an amazing quality jacket. You get what you pay for. Jacket for life.
Andy Walker: I had a snakeskin jacket made and Pauline was incredible throughout the process helping me choose the design and skin that would look the best. The result is an "oh wow" moment that I get to wear around.
Tony Allen: I recently had a bespoke leather jacket made by the Cromford Leather Co. the quality is superb every bit as good as anything you could obtain from one of the tailors on Savile Row or Chapal in Paris.

Martin Orrell: What a fabulous find. I wanted to replace my favourite, but totally worn out suede blazer, and found Wearwolf from a Google search. Off I went to Brick Lane and easily found the Wearwolf work studio on Hanbury Street. The owner and his very skilled seamstress were absolutely fantastic. They listened. They came up with improved ideas. And I ended up with three beautiful, stunning, tailor-made jackets — a blazer, a military style and a gilet. And all fit me just perfectly. Suzie

Phil T: I had been looking for a particular style of leather jacket for years and happened upon Paul and Wearwolf via an online search. My jacket arrived this week and I really couldn’t be happier with it in terms of fit, styling and quality; it looks and feels special and will outlast me I suspect. Everything has been done over the phone and via email, which was a bit daunting initially as this was a significant investment. I needn’t have worried! Paul communicated regularly throughout the process and went over and above to ensure I got exactly what I wanted, making two canvasses to ensure everything was just right. Jed Britain: Good quality leather, though the lock could do to be more sturdy. Only had my brief case a relatively short time and the lock on the front has broken.
Response: Sorry but we cannot help with this, you placed this order last year in September. You are way out of any consumer rights act to request a return or replacement. I think most reasonable people would agree that the images shown are due to forcefully opening the bag.
stewart booth: Order a jacket and paid for 1-2 working days. Attempted delivery 3 working days later but we’re unable to find the very obvious address (don’t think they even tried as there was a sign on the gate for deliveries). Then unable to deliver the following day for the time required. Bit pathetic, wouldn’t recommend, highly disappointed!!! The company say I gave the wrong address I can provide photos that I didn’t. And if there was any issues you had my contact details to call me and I would have simply opened the door…? Poor communication. I’d like the see the GPS of the van to see if a delivery was even attempted.

You gave us a postcode with the completely wrong first line of address so obviously the package was not going to get delivered, where is it supposed to be delivered to if the address is wrong?
Elaine Stewart: Just received my namoi b3 aviator jacket, this is exactly what I was looking for, well made and lovely workmanship. I was worried that I had ordered the wrong size, but it fits perfectly with plenty of room for a jumper under it. Super fast delivery, well impressed.

Nathan Chainey: The staff, in particular the manager, here are always very friendly and helpful. Have visited a few times recently for the aftercare of my jacket and feel treated like a respected customer each time. Will happily continue to buy from this store.
C. C.: The high price is not worth it. I bought a Belstaff jacket and 10 years afterwards a black stain showed up and it kept growing. I tried to dry clean it and it improved but it is still very visible. I contacted Belstaff and they confirmed that this is a known issue as garments made of Nylon coupled with polyurethane coating can, over time, develop the so-called “hydrolysis" phenomenon, i.e. the fragmentation of the polymer (coupled to nylon). This is inherent to the synthetic material and can happen with age – it usually occurs to garments that are over 10 years old, and is considered wear a tear. I would recommend to buy a cheaper jacket or try another brand, I have other jackets which are 10 years older and they are perfectly fine.
Michael O'Sullivan: The staff in this shop are impeccable. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Excellent service every time I visit. Fabio in particular was very helpful. Great brand. Great shop.
Kristof Neys: I bought a few items at this store where I was served by Luca, who is the most charming, helpful and fun salesperson I have met in a long time. It was a truly enjoyable experience, helped of course by some lovely clothes items.
Samby F: The customer service here is quite hit and miss. A great product which is let down by impersonable staff members who are very limited in their responses - “check online” or “sorry we don’t have it” or “sorry I don’t know.” Visit a different Belstaff store, you may receive better customer service.
Andréas Vamvakas: Bellstaff where do I begin, I ride motorcycles sporting Bellstaff jacket with armour, I also wear it on a night out and it never misses a beat. If only people realize that it’s better to invest in fewer classic pieces than many pieces of lesser quality. There’s a reason why Bellstaff says since 1924, must be doing something right. The staff at this store was impeccable like Bellstaff products.
Rowan Brown: Ordered a jumper and a jacket. Jumper never arrived even though the box and receipt said it was in there. Jacket was too large so I returned it, but it’s now been with then 3 weeks and I’ve had no refund, even though I sent it back via DPD and Belstaff confirmed receipt of the return. Customer service just says they’re ‘looking into it’, week after week - very bad experience all round

Mentesh Karim: I am a bit late to write this review however I haven’t forgotten!! About a month ago I visited this store as I needed specific shirts for my proposal abroad. Luckily I run into one of the best colleagues Named Melissa. She was absolutely fantastic in recommending the best shirts for me and have a very honest opinion. She is such a funny character and overall Just an amazing little helper. Thanks to her I had a fantastic proposal and got many comments on my shredded snake print shirt! Denitsa Tosheva: I couldn’t have dreamed of a better experience. I bought a dress that was missing the slip dress and the manager kindly offered to order a replacement (of under dress). After the replacement didn’t arrive, I was offered to exchange for a brand new dress, which was held in store for me until I can make it to the store. Special thanks to Melissa who arranged everything, kept me informed and ensured I was happy with the exchange on the day of my visit to store. The customer service and friendliness can compete with that of the designer boutiques, I am very pleased!

TJ: From someone that absolutely abhors shopping for clothes, shopping here was a delight! Eden was the young guy that helped me pick out some new wardrobe items and he was enthusiastic about his work, invested in helping me improve my look, and proud of the work he had done by the end of it (rightfully so too!). Bit of advice: they hire well. Cave to them when they ask if you would like some help and bounce ideas off them. Eden knew the products on the floor and made a great effort to help me find the ones that suited me best. Cheers mate!

Ro Ke: Oh wow ! Superb craftsmanship. Gave Open space this cheap canvas bag and had this amazing leather bag made, quality is amazing. Excellent craftsmanship and Superb service. Walked in looking for a leather version of the canvas bag, and found out that could make one exactly the same ! Chose from a range of colours and had made a little bigger. Incredible value too, considering a skilled craftsperson hand made it ! Highly recommended.

Moses Tan: When you google for leather shops along Brick Lane, the few that pop up are Bashir and Sons, Open Space Leather and a few other smaller shops. Skip the rest, go straight to Open Space Leather. I was served by Mr. Kamran and a Mr. Saf, and these guys know their stuff. These guys are the real deal, if you have any questions about leather at all, you can go straight to them and they’ll help you out. They really know what they are doing. OSL also make jackets in-shop - which is really rare - nowadays to save costs, all the leather shops along Brick Lane import them from the factories in Pakistan, India etc. If I’m not wrong the only other shop that has in shop production is Bashir and Sons. And it is because OSL still make it in their shop, they can custom make a really nice jacket for you too. It is really rare to find good craftsmen in an age of fashion that only PRETENDS to be premium: think of how many big brands out there try to sell leather products that are incredibly overpriced for the quality of leather you receive? If you’re looking for value for money, look no further. The leather they use at this shop is proper, high quality full grain leather, and you can definitely tell the difference. If you don’t believe me, walk around Brick Lane, go into the other shops, touch the other leather jackets and you’ll see how brittle their leather texture feels. It is thin, cheap and you can tell the leather tanning process was not well done. That’s not the case with OSL. Of course you pay a little higher price (maybe 50 pounds more) but with the proper care, you get a jacket that’s going to outlast maybe even you! If you’re in London for only a day and looking to get leather jackets, this is the shop you go to. The photo is of my beautiful A2 Bomber jacket made from Italian full grain leather.
