Ivy Stocker: owner of shop/supervisor was really rude to me and said how “i shouldn’t try on a dress if it wasn’t in my budget” after i’d put on the dress and then decided to say that in front of everyone in the shop, made me feel really awful and embarrassed as an 18 year old woman, i then got changed and didn’t try anymore dresses on, you should never assume someone’s budget on what they look like, especially seeings as my cousin was also trying on dresses and was treated COMPLETELY different to how i was, in a much nicer way to me. xavier allison: Would give 0 stars if I could. Absolutely horrible treatment - myself and a relative walked in looking for a prom dress to be stereotyped based off our appearance instantly (either for our clothing or because neither of us are particular white passing). We were essentially told that we did not have the money (although we very much did) to buy a dress there and that they usually only allow boarding school students in there. For treatment like this to only have the ugliest dresses we have ever seen was incredibly bold and big headed. Will never be shopping in here again. Absolutely horrible.
Response: We are so sorry you did not feel you received good service in our London store. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate prom customers who are unaccompanied by a parent or guardian, unless there are specific reasons why that isn’t possible, like for example boarders at boarding school. We are sorry this was not explained to you in a better or more positive way. Unaccompanied under 16’s can off course have a look around and book an appointment to come back with an appropriate adult, if they are able to. The shop is exceptionally busy, and our dresses are very popular, and we do try our very best to give everybody our expert service in those circumstances.
Anna Tikhomirova: Firstly, I wanted to say that being in this shop was really really lovely. I was looking for a graduation dress and looked in many stores to find basically absolutely nothing that I liked. My mum found this store online and we made an appointment to come. I saw some people in the reviews commenting about how the shop people seemed biased against those with a lower budget but I can’t say this was true in my case! I got a bit afraid because the dresses online cost around a grand, but I left the shop having found the most perfect dress under 200 pounds. (Which whilst not exactly cheap is pretty worth it for a perfect fit dress for a special occasion!). Everyone there was lovely and made us feel very welcome- and even gave us advice on what we can do outside of their shop such as tailor the dress on our own, or in our own town versus their shop to save money. The staff were lovely and gave brilliant advice, fully understanding that the most important thing is that you feel happy and comfortable in the dress. It was a lovely experience, and I would reccomend- i found a dress that I think will stick with me from now all the way through to uni balls! -Anna

Ali Higgins: We called in yesterday but were advised to book an appointment, so we booked and went back today, when we were handed the 2 nearest dresses in the right size and sent downstairs to find a changing space. We then recieved no more help at all as staff got busy with other customers. Not the service I expect for the price range of these dresses! Thank heavens we found Selfridges around the corner who had fabulous dresses and service to aplaude!

She knew exactly what I envisioned and did her upmost to accommodate to me. I was also able to find my dream shoes in her store which I still cannot believe. Anna helped me throughout, nothing was too much trouble and her. My dress was perfect in every single way and fitted like a glove. I was quite apprehensive as I was dress shopping alone due to my loved ones being down with covid. Moira Hamill: I found an image of a dress on Pinterest that I wanted as a wedding dress but how could I get it? The stockists all seemed to be in America. I ventured into Anoushka and showed Anna my photo and to my amazement she knew instantly who the designer was and she ordered it for me. I had to wait a few months as it was a new collection so was still being made up. When the dress came I went and tried it on. At first I wasn’t sure if I liked it was the real thing looked a different colour than the picture but that was because it was photographed against a white background and under studio lights. I bought the dress and tried to love it but I was still unsure. I contacted Anna and she said she’d be happy to let me come and find an alternative but the colour I wanted was a spring colour so I’d have to wait until that collection came in. You know, that made me feel happy as it meant I wasn’t stuck with it. But over the next few months I tried it on several times and showed my closest friends who all thought it was lovely. The dress needed to be taken up and Anna said I should get my what was great was that Anna never pushed me into making any decisions shoes and come back a couple of months before the wedding to have it done. When I went in I told her that I was now happy with the colour. And I’d lost a few lbs which made all the difference. Anna never pressed me to make any decisions she told me I looked great in it and then let me make up my own mind. I’m grateful for that because the dress was absolutely perfect and I really was a stunning bride on the day in July this year. Thank you Anna, I really love it and hope to be able to wear it again for another occasion.

oellabee: Amazing! I came in awfully last minute with a dress in mind and I had it in my hands and altered a week later (the day before my event!) The ladies here are kind and immensely helpful, and the inside of the store is truly special, a very pretty space. My dress needed alteration and it fit absolutely perfectly, a strapless gown, and no spills or flashes the entire night. The service provided is wonderful. Could not recommend more.

A J: This is the next level departmental store with floor after floor of top notch merchandise. Good cafes and Gordon Ramsey Burgers. The food hall, chocolate area, bread and meets are world class. Check out the fine watches and exquisite jewelry shops. Love visiting Harrods every time we are in town. Dior display and bake shop ware spectacular.
Mark Minehan: First visit back to Harrods for 10 years. Looks pretty much the same. Bought a Salt Beef Sandwich from their exquisite FOOD HALL and it was amazing! This really should be a Five Star review but for me it gets Four Stars purely because I cannot afford to shop here! Such a good sandwich. See you in 10 years for an update!
Harvey Selwood: A five star experience. Myself like other people may not be able to afford a whole lot in here but it was amazing to look around and see all the different shops and products for sale. The food court was also delicious to see! Would definitely recommend going to try some of there cakes!
Raghav Mathur: Awesome experience. The boutiques within are obviously high-end designer items, but the overall experience is lovely. Everyone is really nice and the food hall is SO COOL. Definitely hop in for a snack or a drink at the very least.
Candid Reviews: Always a go to in London. Lots of luxury items and designers from all over the world- from shoes, clothes, cosmetics, electronics, kitchen/dining , food, bedroom/bathroom, living area, travel to teas, pharmacy/wellness clinic, etc. Not much of a big shopper, but I love their teas, condiments, prepared and reasonably priced meals and don’t forget a reward points system. Also, they actually ship to the US within 4-7days for less than $50 filled box without any extra customs charge at delivery. Luxury at its finest I call it in all areas. The food is quality and reasonably priced.
Sushrut Timilsina: One of the most prominent building in London that you should never choose to miss. Iconic terracotta palace with high end luxury shopping with delectable restaurants serving exceptional delicacies within the building itself. Immerse yourself being lured into fashion, fine watches and fine jewellery with lustful shopping experience in the building including the fresh food hall where you end up buying lot more food than you thought you will. Believe me you’ll never experience or find anything as such in any shopping stores in London and will never forget this experience.
Jennifer Newell: The outside view just draws you into the store. For me personally, it is spectacular. Inside is all about name brands and high-end shopping. I enjoyed the experience of multiple brands coming together under one roof and the dining experience.

If you want to buy a dress for any occasion I would 100% recommend this place.Their selection of dresses are absolutely wonderful consisting of a variety that is able to suit your choice,not only are the dresses amazing but the customer service is phenomenal,the individuals working here were so helpful and were a delight to be around,they made me feel so comfortable and had an overall welcoming energy.The attitude and customer service of this place is lovely could not have asked for a better experience!

Amz A: Disgusting! Walked in the store with my best friend as we was looking for a dress to attend a wedding when we was approached by this grinch of Oya London called Doniya rushing us to pick a dress. She lacked very basic customer skills and had no respect towards the customers. She needs a good shouting, the cheek of her!

CJ M: I needed a dress for a black tie do and chanced upon this shop in Oxford Street. As soon as I entered the shop I was approached by an Assistant. She asked if I required help and I explained what type of event I required the dress for. From there I am happy to say it was a delightful customer service experience. I walked around the shop with the Assistant who suggested certain dresses and then referring me to her colleague Donya, the fitting room Assistant, in order that I may try on each dress. Donya and her colleague were honest in their opinion when I tried on each dress (which I appreciated) before I settled for the one I bought. It was good old fashioned customer service which you do not get everywhere (perhaps with the exception of John Lewis and M&S!). So I thank the Assistants, particularly Donya for their patient, friendly and professional approach.
Anthony Z: Few terminals are quite far on the industrial section with no public transportation. But Uber and Taxi are easy to get.
Dilnoza Gulyamova: Firstly, I am shocked that such a wonderful store has opened in Oxford street where you can find everything evening dresses, wedding dresses, party dresses. Daily outfits. Went in to have a look around and asked one of the members if they had this particular dress in my size and one of them said go have a look yourself chewing her gum away whilst the others giggled. So called customer service, don’t even deserve one star tbh

John Mogg: Another hidden gem. Most people think of Hamleys and the Disney Store in London as the premier Toy stores in town. FAO Schwarz the 159 year old New York toy shop, has had a residency on the 4th floor in Selfridges, since 2019. There are some great features in here for kids to have a go on (such as a new rendition of the iconic Piano as featured in the Tom Hanks film BIG. Check it out if in town with your kids (or if you want a go on a giant Piano).
Jon Atk: Fantastic department store offering high end products and experiences to customers. Well worth a visit if shopping is your thing Great food hall, Technology and fashion/fashion accessories department. Christmas decor is the best both in and outside the store Some nice little eating and drinking establishments also tucked away make sure you check them out Impressive and I don’t do shopping much 👍
John: Selfridges is the embodiment of a classic, upmarket British department store. Set in the heart of Oxford Street, you can buy everything from amazing food to games consoles. I absolutely loved our trip here, and would definitely come here again as there’s always something interesting and new to try. Their coffee machine selection is particularly amazing.
Symeon Onipede: From Diamonds to luxury goods, watches, perfumes, toys, technology, shoes, top designer labels, teas, coffees and lovely stuff at the food hall. All good things even after all these years on Oxford street. Sale now on...sort of... but still a lovely day out. And Wimbledon tennis live on screen in one of the many nice cafes in the magnificent store
Jordan Bell: I like Selfridges an old beautiful building from the outside, with an iconic beautiful clock at the main entrance. In contrast to the inside which is stylish modern an airy. This store for me is less snooty than other well known department stores in London.
Dalia Alwan: A feel good place. Classy and prestigious. Has many departments, best of which the electronic appliances and home items. Also got interiors, lighting and bedding sections Men, women and kids fashion. Toys and library. The food hall is quite nice too. Good location with easy transport in the middle of Oxford st. Everything you need in one place.. make sure you have a lot of cash to carry 😁 💰 💳 💷 💰
Dr HNS - Lazy Tiger Mum: Haven’t been here in years but love exploring all the different floors every time I do visit. So many things too see and taste. The food hall is always a must visit when on Oxford street. Also, the sweets and confectioneries in the basement. Be careful because you can get carried away with all the wonderful and amazing things one offer. Weekend can get a be crazy and over crowded.
Tan Seet Ynn: They have the largest jellycat plushy collection in London. There is a giant bashful bunny plushy on display, which you can hug and take pictures with. There is also a store-exclusive bashful honey bunny plushy. You can also get your name embroidered on its ear within 20-30 minutes, up to 11 characters.
avnika kuvadiya: Selfridges - The hub of international brands who have stuff from almost all categories to offer, be it apparel, shoes, accessories, perfumes, chocolates, technology all located among the four floors. There are many restaurants to grab a meal or binge upon, they also have a cinema. It is totally awe inspiring and leaves one in the state of mesmerization. It is a definate visit once kind of a zone to have a grand experience.
Stjepan Kujadin: One of my favorite department stores in the world. So many great brands and the presentation is just stunning. Many food and beverage options. Something for everyone from cosmetics, clothes, accessories etc. you can spend all day here lol

Elif Boutique has an extensive range so finding the perfect dress was easy. The dress had to go though major alterations and Elif and her excellent team carried this out in less than a day. Lorraine Osborn: Highly recommend this shop I Searched everywhere for mother of the bride dress. Last minute I found Elif boutique. The staff in there were absolutely amazing. I didn’t once feel pressured like in other stores. Nothing was too much for them. They even added beading to my dress as I wasn’t sure about the neckline. I can’t praise them enough. Lisa Hassan: We took our daughter here shopping for a prom dress. Having been in another shop where the staff were very unhelpful, this was a completely different experience for my daughter. The owner could not have been more helpful, she gave advice, had so much patience, nothing was too much. Raffaela De Pascali: They do have one or two nice dresses but the sewing lady is very rude and will not do last minute orders even if you pay her extra. Very disappointed as I could not decide on the color of my dress and she urged me to make a decision within seconds which is definitely not fair, nice and necessary.I would have even paid double for this order and decide within 10min max. She just had to Stich the dress a bit tinier. No big deal. Very moody person, definitely bad vibes. Also took a long time till anybody opened the door during opening hours Very very disappointing. Never go there again.

All staff had helped you and the tailor was willing to work overtime for your dress as you needed it by the next day, she had pinned the dress ready to alter however was waiting for you to decide on the choice of colour before going ahead. The dress you had chosen is a dress with a corset and difficult to alter therefore will have taken a few hours We did inform you that the dress will be ready by 2pm which was the time you needed it, as you already know we were going to put your dress ahead of all our other alterations in order to ensure you have your dress on time to keep you happy. Sorry we couldn't satisfy you and hope to see you in our boutique again.

Andreia Garcia: This was my first attempt for wedding dresses (bride). I was received by Francesca that started taking some measurements of my body and asked me to go around and see the type of dresses I like to try. She left me and my friend to have time to look and think but was at the same present and observing our preferences. I tried 3 dresses, I liked them. But nothing wow. Francesca brought me other dress that I did not see and said “this one will fit you well”. It was a Vera Wang, end of collection, last example, last size, last dress. When I looked at the mirror was love. The perfect dress and a bargain that was waiting for me in the shop and Francesca found it for me. She was absolutely amazing. Comprehensive, empathic, friendly. She was so excited as myself to find me a dress. I loved her. The service at David’s bridal was absolutely amazing. Very warm and friendly. I felt very welcomed and they have a huge variety of dresses for different budgets. And my budget was low and o found THE dress. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Francesca. Thank you David’s bridal. Adding the final outcome after a few months - the dress ended up costing 3x more with all the alterations. I was a bit surprised and disappointed because they were not very transparent about this. When I bought they said they would need to make a few alterations would cost around 150£. In the end it costed about 500£ - just the alterations. Be aware of that.
