J Morris: Shaan is a super friendly and knowledgeable instructor who makes the sessions fun and sociable! The intensive day Salsa course was well structured and easy to follow and Shaan made sure everyone was comfortable. We had a great time as beginners and will be back again.

Adam: My girlfriend and I recently had the pleasure of attending the one-day intensive salsa class at Caramelo, and we were blown away by the experience. From start to finish, it was an absolute delight.First and foremost, Shaan, the instructor was simply amazing. Not only was he incredibly skilled and knowledgeable about salsa, but he also had a knack for making the class enjoyable and engaging. His professionalism was evident from the moment we walked in, and his relaxed demeanor immediately put all the students at ease. It was refreshing to have an instructor who not only took the time to teach us the steps but also genuinely cared about our progress and enjoyment. One aspect that truly set this class apart was the instructor's sense of humor. He effortlessly injected lightheartedness and laughter into the lesson, creating an atmosphere of fun and camaraderie among the students. This made the entire experience so much more enjoyable, as we were able to learn in a relaxed and friendly environment. The one-day intensive format was perfect for us. It allowed us to immerse ourselves fully in the world of salsa and provided an excellent foundation for our dance journey. The class was well-structured, covering a range of fundamental steps, techniques, and even some more advanced moves. By the end of the day, we felt a remarkable sense of accomplishment and confidence in our salsa abilities. The overall ambiance of Caramelo was fantastic. The studio itself was clean, well-maintained, and had a vibrant atmosphere that made us feel energized and excited to learn. The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring that everyone felt comfortable throughout the class. We cannot recommend this salsa class enough to anyone who is looking to take up salsa dancing. Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience under your belt, this one-day intensive class at Caramelo is the perfect opportunity to kickstart your salsa journey. The instructor's expertise, combined with his welcoming and humorous teaching style, made the class not only informative but also incredibly enjoyable.Thank you, Caramelo, for providing such a memorable experience. We can't wait to continue our salsa adventure with your future classes and events! Adam and Lilian.

1-Day Intensive Salsa Class: what do users think?

H W: Excellent 1-day absolute beginners class on Sunday 30th April 2023. Alastair is a superb teacher, and not only do you learn all the basic steps and some turns but you learn to dance as well. The whole day was friendly, fun and well paced,100% recommend.

Js B: Alastair is an excellent teacher who is very friendly and always kept the atmosphere throughout a 6-hour class. He also looked out for everyone during the whole class. I had a lot of fun and will definitely come to join his class if I come to London again. Highly recommend his class to anyone even though you are an absolute beginner!!!Alastair, thank you so much!!!!!

carl walters: Just got home from the beginners' class. I loved it! The class totally energised, rather than diminished, my beginner's enthusiasm. Sometimes with beginners' classes generally all the info you get given can get quite overwhelming and I can sometimes retreat into my shell. Not here. The atmosphere Alistair created was really positive and it helped everyone in the class get on well and learn a lot. I thoroughly recommend. Plus there was a good deal with lunch at the bar!

Frankie Ellis: 100% would recommend this Intensive Salsa Class. Alastair was fantastic, funny, very encouraging and a great teacher. Me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed the whole day and came away feeling confident to try it out in a Salsa club. If you are undecided, definitely do it! There were also lots of single people there so if you don’t have a partner, it’s not a problem. Thank you Alastair for such a great introduction to Salsa! 💃🏼

Amanda Gardiner: Really enjoyed the 1 day beginners salsa course on 2nd October. Alastair made us all feel very welcome and it wasn’t long before we were all comfortable with each other and learning to salsa! Thank you for a really fun day!

John Paul Zampetti: , making clear that cultivating an engaged and empathetic presence with your dance partner is just as important as the actual mechanics of the steps/moves.If you're looking for a crash course in Salsa that will take you from complete beginner in the morning to spinning round the dancefloor by the afternoon, then don't hesitate to try Alastair's classes! :D

Mark Sephton: Highly recommended I attended this class yesterday and really enjoyed the whole day. I was made to feel welcome the moment I walked through the door and there was a friendly, relaxed, atmosphere throught the day. Alistair is a great teacher with an easy going sense of humour that makes the day fun. I learnt a lot and I'm definitely returning for more of Alistair's classes. If you're thinking about attending, do it, you won't regret it!!!

Stephanie Hewitt: Really great course. I love Alastair's way of teaching. By the end of the course me and my partner came away with a lot of moves to play around with and the confidence to freestyle with these moves to any salsa music. The course was super relaxed and lots of fun. Would highly recommend.

Barnaby Davies (EastguidesWest): ! The class is such fun, and Alistair makes it really easy. Right, left, right, pause:

Chris Diel: We absolutely loved the 1-day intensive beginners class. Alastair is a great teacher and also super funny, which creates a relaxed atmosphere and guarantees lots of laughter and a fun time. I liked that he found a great balance between explaining and showing certain moves and steps and then having everyone try them out while giving tips. On top of that he throws in some background knowledge about salsa history etc. every now and then, which is quite interesting. Can absolutely recommend this class, and will definitely book more classes with him.

Sandra Agidee: Alistair was the perfect teacher. He put me at ease even before meeting him in person. I thoroughly enjoyed the fun way he taught Salsa and made the group gel. I certainly will be doing more courses with him. I come all threat from Lincolnshire by myself. Well worth the money and effort

Tania Bartlett: What a fantastic day! I loved every minute and totally recommend this 1-day course. Alistair was brilliant and made it such fun, the hours flew by and I learnt lots. Feel so much more confident dancing and can’t wait to do it again. A great day with great people. Thank you!

Natalia Ozga: I absolutely loved the 1-Day Intensive Salsa Beginner Course. Alastair makes everyone feel comfortable and keeps it fun. I feel like I have learnt a lot and can't wait to attend a follow up and dance again! I definitely recommend it!

Hemant Atodaria: The best salsa class I've ever been to. I entered as a beginner not having a clue about salsa, and left knowing I'd be able to go to a salsa club and dance confidently. Alistair is amazing too, such an amazing teacher .

Katie Jane: Fun, informative course lead by a tutor with a good sense of humor! Definitely value for money

maria ciubotaru: I had a blast at the beginners’s intesive 1day course taught by Alistair. He made the day fun and enjoyable and I feel I have learned a lot. I am planning to book myself into all his improvers courses. The environment was great and met some lovely people in the process. Would highly recommend this course! Thank you for the awesome experience.Maria

Jurate Ko: Great team of teachers.Have been doing quite few salsa classes with this company and had so much fun learning salsa moves. They do taster classes for begginers, this option would be for someone who is not sure if they would like to buy an entire course package.

Giulia Salusest: Hello!I have taken the salsa beginners course with mohammed. I really really enjoyed it indeed i decided to book the improvers class as well. Very nice way to disconnect. You don’t need to know any salsa before. Mohammed is great, i don’t know how but he really managed to follow each of us and stamp in our head some good salsa, making sure the whole group got lots of fun as well .I ‘ve be to other beginners salsa classes before in bars, clubs , the classic trial sessions , i feel that what is really good of this one is definitely1.the time and attention dedicated to learn/“absorb” each step,2.customisation. mohammed really tailors the class on the level of the group, making it slower or more challenging when needed3. The group- i love my group - I felt I wasn’t getting lost in 100000 ppl that change every-time . I got the chance to bond more and more with the people from the same group going through tricky and clumsy moves together- honestly enjoying it .I strongly recommend itGiulia

Karen S: Having completed the beginners salsa course & progressed to intermediate level, I've enjoyed learning to dance FAR more than I thought I would. Classes are very well organised and through socials organised which introduce students to the salsa club environment it's been great to put what I've learned into practice!!! The teachers have the ability to explain the moves simply and it's amazing how much we get done in an hour. It's worth noting that the school makes an effort to balance the classes in terms of gender ratios. I can't be positive enough about my experience!

Isabel Urdiales: and tried different teachers

lucia capalozza: Great classes with friendly and professional teachers! It is the perfect place to improve your salsa moves and make new friends!

William Joyce: I had Muhammad as a teacher for my beginnner salsa class. THE BEST teacher. So nice and hugely positive. Very well structured class and great for learning.

Dennis Reid: Katarina is a first rate teacher....I along with many others have benefited from her style of teaching...she makes sure you have leant the basics properly. She has a great and friendly way with all her students...The reviewer who said shes the worst...well ...that's a shame as in my experience, she is top notch!!👌👌

Gonzalo Navarro: Very welcoming academy. I have been student for half a year and I am very happy with the teachers and with the relaxed and fun environment for learning. I have had Newton and Katrina as regular teachers for months, and I would totally recommend both as they are very nice, patient and fun to learn from.

Sebastian Rodriguez Salamancs: Sigan is super friendly and professional

Zsolt Csordas: The best Friday Salsa in London!

Tim Rowe: I really like this place, it's an extremely friendly and fun night. I've been dancing for nearly 20 years and this is the best place I've been to for a long time, definitely my favourite.

Carmelo Cangeri: Amazing atmosphere, awesome teachers, if you want to learn this beautiful skill this is the place to be

Alex in the City: Great classes with amazing atmosphere.

Arun Sagar: : A few years ago, they had very good teachers, nice music and good moves. Since then, they have moved their base a few too many times - every time dumping students in the cold, from what I have seen.I have personally been left holding a loyalty card with over 8 classes remaining for a stretch of over 8 months without knowing if they had permanently shut down or not
