Behind Restaurant: what do users think?

Juan Ángel Hernández: .

Alessandro De Dea: Amazing experience at Behind restaurant - premium quality ingredients treated with respect by chef patron Andy who took us through a journey of a perfectly executed tasting menu.Every single dish was cleverly created with interesting combinations of ingredients. The chef’s table creates a very relaxing and not too formal atmosphere, you are basically enjoying the tasting menu made fresh in front of you by the brilliant team at Behind.I would strongly recommend this place for a night out in East London without the fuss of Mayfair restaurants.

Joan Nicolau Antolin: We ate at Behind on April 27, and it was fantastic. Watching the guys work and how they themselves explain the dishes and serve you the wines makes it a much closer and friendlier experience. We chose the wine pairing and it was a success, we liked it a lot. We told them that we are not English and they tried to explain the dishes to us in a more leisurely way so that we could understand everything perfectly, they were very kind.Delicious food, tasty, elegant dishes and quality products. The stingray was delicious, and the blue cheese dessert with the apple and rhubarb tartlet. We still dream of the butter and almond puff pastry that accompanied the second pass, hopefully we always have one ready for breakfast!Too bad the restaurant is a bit off the beaten track and you have to go there on purpose, but it's well worth it. I recommend it to everybody. Many thanks to the whole team!

Paul Regan: Easy review. Just go. Magicians.

Dylan Weil: I've been fortunate enough to dine at a lot of really high end restaurants in my life and this was one of the best meals I've ever had. As one would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant, the quality of the ingredients and the plating was excellent. The wine pairing was very good as well. But lots of places get those things right. The true strength of this restaurant was the sauces. From a basil tarragon foam to a corriander lassi to riesling and mackerel consomme, these were some of the tastiest liquids I have ever experienced.

Debbie Louise: We had an incredible time at Behind with Andy, Jimmy and the crew. The tasting lunch menu with wine pairing was simply sublime from start to finish - all I can say is just go.

Mark Solo: Tasting menu was fantastic. Andy and his staff were friendly and chatty. This is a treat of a place tucked away in Hackney. Recommend for sure. Worth the treat.

Amrutha Lounge: what do users think?

Roisin Greaney: Spectacular! The food is amazing and the staff are so friendly, best restaurant in Earlsfield by far!!

Oddi Aasheim: This might have become our new favourite restaurant - at least this side of London. Not only is food delicious and fresh, the service personal and attentive, but they will top up the food to make sure you've had plenty. It is a place that is run by the heart and they support local producers, source organic as much as they can and will even make sure people who can't afford can pay back through helping out. This place has been here for 5 years and deserves to become a place that remains for a long time to come. We'll be back soon.Vegetarian options: It is all vegan.

Michael Fuchs: At one point the highest rated London restaurant on TripAdviser – *in any category*. Their huge and wildly varied set menu is glorious, every item more sublime than the last – and, amazingly, the total loveliness of the staff and vibe and ethos of the establishment actually beggar the life-changingly great food. And if you have any room left to be blown over, they also serve plausibly the most divine ice cream you've ever had, from a local artisanal gelatiere. Anyone who thinks vegan dining is missing *anything*, aside from being an idiot, has absolutely never enjoyed Amrutha. An experience not to be missed.

Pasquale Bacchi: -2 Food

Nonika Kotsali: Amazing food- the Thai curry is highly recommended!

Josh: Some of the best vegan food I have had in London. The Pakoras were absolutely amazing and the curry’s were flavoursome and moreish. Excellent atmosphere and the staff were wonderful. I am sad I have moved from Earlsfield and did not visit this place more! But I certainly will be returning.Recommended dishes Crispy Pakoras …

Saurabh Prasad: . The food was excellent, the pakoras were crunchily delicious and the falafels were good. The main dish - we had the Noodles and the Thai curry - both hearty portions and great taste. The team there is always making the right recommendations and encourage to pack up leftovers. Had a lovely time and going to go back again, and again.

Jordan Spencer: Blown away by the first Mezzw night a few weeks ago at Amrutha! The new selection of dishes was such a treat and was so delicious. I could not get enough of that smooth hummus! As ever, Amrutha has 10/10 staff, is such a warm and inviting restaurant and the food is out of this world. If you get a chance to sample their “normal” menu or the taco or mezze night, you deffo should!

215 Hackney: what do users think?

Elif-Havin Yener: !! We had a variety of delicious options to choose from the breakfast menu but, I decided to go with the French toast which arrived super quickly and extremely fresh, it was definitely filling and delicious. For drinks I prefer a double shot latte and I must say the coffee is something I will surely be returning for!! I would recommend 215 to everyone looking to enjoy quality time with family and also food and atmosphere!! We will be back soonnnn !!

Kay Kay Zhou: Found this place when I was looking for cafes to read at! The decor is cute with shelves of books everywhere. The actual interior was quite small. The food and coffee were decent!

George Williams: Food: 5/5

Miri: Really great food, mostly locally sourced which tastes incredible. Would definitely come back here again!

K: The Marhaba breakfast was delightful - such a great blend of flavours, a wide variety of components! Challa bread particularly was *chefs kiss *

Ceng Yavuz: The best in Stokey, love their food and coffee

Lubna SA: Food was really good and delicious, we had the French toast which was yummy and Palastain breakfast and it was really good. Kids loved their croissantsRecommended dishes Bagel, Tapas, Jerusalem Bagel, Grilled Halloumi …

Jonasz: was a bit too pricy in my opinion for the fact that 1/3 of the plate were fries and mushroom. The taste was great on the bacon and fries, the eggs could use some more seasoning and I didn't really like the sausage. I don't think a 12,5% service fee was appropriate, but it's clearly started in the menu. The place was half-empty when we were there and we waited no more than 10 minutes for our meals, which I liked.

Kevin Monaghan: Shakshuka was really good!

Da Terra Restaurant: what do users think?

Paul Luang-Rath: Restaurant with a south american / Brazilian influenceI particularly like when each kitchen staffs came and gave some insights about each dish and some of their cooking techniquesI particularly like the Hamachi and its broth. The broth flavour was intense and niceThe olive oil butter made without dairy was interesting alsoFor the Moqueca, the coconut sauce could have had a little more flavourThe bone marrow was good but it felt quite heavyIn overall it was a good experience

Shajun Yang: However the cheese was a bit to adventurous for me, and the baba was like a bit too creative… but it ended with a very pleasant pineapple coconut dessert. Overall LOVE. Don’t think a 2 star restaurant is desperate for my review, but will defo revisit!!!

Josh Greene: Where to start, if you are in London and even remotely want a fine dining experience you need to get on the tube and go to Da Terra in East London. It was an absolutely amazing experience. The chef is a genius, and more importantly his staff is spot on. The restaurant might be small, and the number of staff is limited, but they treat everyday like it might be their last, I can’t imagine the stress if everyday was the Super Bowl. They make fine dining casual if that is even something you could think is possible.Unlike a stuffy French chef running the kitchen from his perch this chef came out and helped serve and greet guests. We felt very welcomed and enjoyed every moment. The best part is I eat meat and my wife is vegetarian, and they had unique and extremely delicious dishes for both of us.I don’t know why they haven’t gotten a third star yet honestly. Everything was spot on and the staff from the guy refilling your water to the head chef were the absolute best. Also, see if you can spot all of the ninja turtles. 😜

Jerry Abbott: that all looks too good to eat!The fish stew course

Eva: Wir hatten eine großartige Zeit. Alles war ganz hervorragend.

AJ Kruijer: Or Da Terra, please make the first glass a glass of bubbles

Joseph Premto: An great experience that lived up to the expectations and a kitchen that is well deserving of all their accolades. An amazing culinary journey of exceptionally executed dishes with deep roots in traditional cooking. A wonderful showcase of unique ingredients and techniques that gave a unique twist in the best way possible. The service was impeccable, with the staff being very attentive and extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the menu, this extended to the sommelier, she was able to give us some great recommendations that complimented our meal perfectly. Personal highlight, the chef piling on caviar on top of the most excuisit cachaça baba. The desserts here were no joke and probably warrant a review on their own but yes, incredible things coming from that kitchen.

Vitória Croda: chef. My expectations were high, but I didn’t leave disappointed at all. To be fair, I was still very much surprised.Although the menu was a surprise, I had checked previous menu samples online and I was expecting a fish moqueca from the state I was born. It was delicious. Yes, it’s not your mum’s traditional recipe, but I wasn’t expecting it to be. In fact, the chef’s signature moqueca improved its flavour in many ways. It was rich and full of personality. Different, but just like a moqueca should be.However, as much as I was expecting the moqueca to be my favourite part, I was personally and emotionally touched by the quail tortellini soup. I was born and raised in Bahia, but my family comes from a Italian community in Caxias do Sul, in the southernmost state of Brazil. The italian food my family eats is slightly different from the contemporary praised Italian cuisine. We eat polenta, quail, and tortellini soup. I believe the chef has a similar background because he managed to catch the identity of Italian communities in Brazil and improve it in his own way. When I said I got emotional, I really mean it. I thought of the many evenings when I was still living in Brazil and we gathered in my grandpa’s place to eat this kind of soup. I think this is the beauty of this restaurant. It gives a slice of what Brazil really is and its many influences. At the same time, it also tells a story about the chef himself and, of course, about me as well. What an amazing way to spend our anniversary. I plan to come again on my birthday.

Ikoyi Restaurant St. James's: what do users think?

L. K.: After Brussels, back to London to my favourite restaurant.

Jaslyn Lim: i made the reservations with no expectations, but the west african influenced cuisine and lovely tea pairing blew me away. service was impeccable - they had the right balance of professional & friendly. we had a lunch tasting menu that was paced well. i think the non-meat dishes definitely shined more than the meat dishes, which was really surprising in a good way.the restaurant also emailed me shortly after i made my reservation to confirm & ask about dietary restrictions, which was appreciated.would love to be back someday!

Tina Z: , a broth + 2 snacks + 2 mains + 1 dessert + petits fours

Sophie Joe: My recent dining experience at Ikoyi surpassed all expectations and left an indelible impression. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality, setting the stage for an evening of culinary delights. With its exceptional cuisine, impeccable service, and an impressive drink selection, Ikoyi undeniably deserves its well-deserved five-star rating. The true highlight of my evening was the extraordinary cuisine that Ikoyi offers. Showcasing a harmonious fusion of bold flavors and tantalizing heat, their culinary creations took me on an unforgettable journey. Every dish on the menu was a masterpiece, demonstrating the chefs' unmatched creativity and culinary prowess. From the very first bite to the final morsel, my taste buds were treated to a symphony of flavors that left me spellbound. Ikoyi's commitment to delivering bold and distinctive taste experiences truly sets it apart. The service at Ikoyi was nothing short of exceptional. The staff members, in addition to being incredibly kind, were attentive and knowledgeable. They expertly guided me through the menu, providing insightful recommendations that enhanced my dining experience. Their genuine passion for the cuisine shone through, creating an inviting and friendly atmosphere throughout the evening. To complement the remarkable food, Ikoyi offers a diverse and impressive drink selection. The talented mixologists behind the bar skillfully crafted cocktails that perfectly complemented the bold flavors of the cuisine. Whether it was a signature creation or a classic libation, each sip was a delightful accompaniment to the exceptional dishes on offer. Ikoyi's attention to detail extended to its well-curated wine list, providing an array of options to suit every palate.During my visit, I was pleasantly surprised when the staff presented me with a signed copy of Chef Jeremy Chan's Ikoyi: A Journey Through Bold Heat with Recipes. This captivating picture book not only showcases the artistry of the restaurant but also provides a deeper understanding of the inspiration behind their innovative cuisine. It was a thoughtful gesture that added a personal touch to an already extraordinary evening.I wholeheartedly recommend Ikoyi to anyone seeking an unparalleled dining experience. The cuisine celebrates bold flavors and spices, taking guests on an exquisite culinary adventure. With impeccable service, a superb drink selection, and dishes that leave a lasting impression, Ikoyi stands out as a true culinary gem.Lastly, I would like to express my deepest appreciation to the entire staff at Ikoyi. Thank you for providing me with a culinary journey that will be cherished for years to come. Your unwavering commitment to creating an exceptional experience and bringing the bold flavors of Ikoyi's cuisine to life is truly commendable. I eagerly anticipate my next visit to explore further culinary wonders that await at Ikoyi. In conclusion, Ikoyi is an absolute gem that unquestionably deserves its five-star rating. With its extraordinary cuisine, impeccable service, and impressive drink selection, all rooted in the distinctive flavors they offer, Ikoyi delivers an unforgettable and exquisite dining experience.

Samuel Scheuer: Ikoyi had excellent food and a great ambience but at a decidedly steep price point. The tasting menu had some excellent dishes, especially when it came to the sauces and wringing flavour from vegetables in creative ways. Both the rib and the octopus were incredible. Unfortunately, especially the West African elements that Ikoyi likes to advertise, like the Jollof rice, underdeliver relative to everything else and relative to the fine dining expectations.I was pleasantly surprised by some of the innovative dessert dishes which often fall flat in fine dining. All that being said, I would not call the experience twice as good as the average 150£ 1-star restaurant. To make matters worse, when we went we ended up being overcharged by about 210£ due to waitstaff errors. The mistake ended up being resolved but left a bitter after-taste given that we were paying a premium for excellent and attentive service.

Stuart Willison: .I felt special, it’s the kind of memory that I will remember forever.

Jonathan Tanner: Ikoyi is almost certainly unlike any restaurant you’ve been to before. The food is creative, original and makes exceptional use of warming spice. One or two dishes will live long in the memory and the aroma from the jollof rice was out of this world. The sommelier did a great job being patient with us making our choice and pouring in perfect time with the meal. But…We found it really hard to hear the dish descriptions which when a menu is blind and using novel ingredients is especially important. This was a consistent issue and it felt rude to pick it up every time. When we were given the menu we were disappointed we didn’t know more about the dishes we ate. The price is also too high. It just wasn’t clear why it justified being so much more expensive than its peer restaurants. So the missing star relates to the value for money and lost aspects of enjoyment from the service/acoustics.I’d still recommend a trip but brace yourself for the bill or make sure someone else is paying.

Konstantin Zabrodskiy: All was perfect about this dinner. Most expensive ever but worth every penny.

Holly Wright: I did not think it was possible to love a meal this much. Gorgeous setting, incredible staff, inventive food pairings with every mouthful somehow better than the last.A special thank you to our Sommelier who suggested beautiful wines, including my first taste of orange wine! I cannot wait to return to such a special place.

MIZUKI: A modern restaurant with a new feel that combines West African spices and ingredients with Japanese elements. Each course was a small portion, but there were 14 dishes, and after three hours of savoring them, I was full. All of them were a series of surprises, and the stimulation and flavor of the spices went well with both the wine and the sake. The sake pairing was also wonderful. This is a restaurant you want to visit on a special day.

Toby Labdon: A special experience.Jeremy & Team have built something very special and it's something that has to be sampled.Flavours on Flavours with flawless service & hospitality!Just go

Christabel Tan: Thoroughly enjoyed the use of ingredients!

Graham Patterson: Excellent food with a twist at this luxury restaurant. Set behind a non-descript door on the corner of The Strand and Surrey Street. It is easy to walk past, we did twice. There is only the brown door with the name on it in mid-size script.Once inside it is a very Scandinavian with clean lines and muted lighting. The first thing to notice is the food store with turbot and meat hung to age to perfection. That sets the tone for the evening, discrete but with attention to detail and to providing good quality. There Is no menu to choose from, a seven course blind tasting menu is the standard offering, or rather the exceptional only offering. All tables start service between 18:00 and 19:00 to allow for dedicated service to the table and exacting preparation in the kitchen. The tastes seemed to me to be mainly Nigerian influenced with quite a lot of spices I didn't recognise. I found all the dishes interesting in a very good way. There was one dish where the parts seemed to me not to fit together, even though they were individually very good.Definitely a worthwhile dining experience and one I would be happy to go through again. I just need to save some money for it.

J: Charming staff serving unusual and unfamiliar flavours, expertly prepared, in a lovely, convivial atmosphere. Four instead of five stars as I personally miss the a la carte menu - we would love to visit more often if it didn't require such a huge outlay both in terms of money and time.Update: I’ve been a few times since this review and Ikoyi just seems to get better and better. Upping to full five stars without reservation as London has changed a lot in the last few years, and marking a restaurant of Ikoyi’s calibre down nowadays for not offering a la Carte just doesn’t make any sense. One of the absolute best in the city.

Paulina Banasiak: Came here on a Friday in January while on a trip for my husband’s birthday. It was an incredible experience, the food was delicious and intricate and left us very full. We had a blind tasting that included dover, turbot, and pigeon. The pigeon was delicious but the veal sweetbread was out of this world. The wine pairing was a bit too steep for us so we decided to go with a bottle. Federico the Somm was patient and super knowledgeable and helped us select the perfect wine. He was amazing and we enjoyed talking to him about the various wine profiles, kudos to him for having a variety of prices on the menu. The service all around was impeccable, they are so stealth in their napkin folding and water pouring. Bravo ! The last thing I’ll praise is the playlist. We went from dope lemon to mob deep. Absolutely electric playlist straight from my Spotify ?My only knock and this is small and nitpicky but we came there for my husbands 30th birthday and they didn’t acknowledge that. Otherwise absolutely stellar.

Chishuru: what do users think?

Melissa Bryant: I went here for my birthday on the week they were closing. The service was very attentive and the food was succulent. I also appreciated the extra effort they made for my special day. I hope they find a new spot soon.

Alicia Nayfield: This was the best meal I have had in London. The service was warm, ambiance and playlist were spot on. And then there was the food! The prefix menu was the perfect amount of food and the arc of the meal made sense. The textures and contrast were thoughtful. The acidity and salt was perfectly balanced. The meal was exciting and new to me while feeling comfortable and familiar at the same time. Many thanks to all who made it happen.

Abdi Hadi: or not. A "must eat" at every Londoner's or tourist's foodie bucket list! Bonus: accommodates both gluten- and dairy-free diets!

Meredith Westafer: Absolutely delicious, elegant, beautiful food like nothing you’ve ever had before, but evocative of everything you love best about your families’ most dear recipes. Warm service, intimate setting, wonderful vibes. 5 stars

Christine Kim: I'm new to West African cuisine and this was a really great experience! The set menu is £48 for 5 dishes which I thought was reasonable given the food portions. My favourites were the corn bites with scotch bonnet sauce, the hand dived scallop, the cornish hake and the chicken thigh. All the dishes had a different flavour and good spice kick too. The hibiscus sour was tasty, although on the smaller side. Staff had good chat and were helpful!

Sharon Stewart: Great customer service...lovely seeing the owner on sight getting involved

Lisa Marie: Dietary restrictions: Really amazing at handling my dairy and beef allergy a really small kitchen.

Julia B: Incredible food

Also had the best example of Hake in my life. Will definitely recommend and can't wait to go back. An absolutely amazing place with incredibly kind and funny staff. Go!

Jeanette Miller: Stefano, the chef was incredibly friendly and all of the staff were fantastic. The food was simply sublime. We've been many times before and this visit did not disappoint. Highlights were the Moroccan cigars, octopus, cauliflower. The wine we chose after three sample glasses was superb. Again, the staff could not be more helpful in making sure we selected a bottle we liked. Absolutely love this place. Only suggestion would be to serve some Israeli wine. Apparently it's no longer available as it didn't use to sell. We would definitely have gone for an Israeli bottle if there was one.Vegetarian options: Cauliflower aubergine halloumi

Richard W: We were early birds , so the first in to dine , very warmly greeted on arrival . Love the decor , interesting non alcoholic cocktails available . There isn't a huge menu , but I find this is better as the restaurant can more easily concentrate on offering great plates of food , which they do and there is enough choice and variety on show . We will be back !

Corinne: It’s been 5 months since we visited London from the US and my boyfriend still talks about how amazing the za’aluk was… This was our favorite restaurant. We loved everything we ordered including the falafel, bagel, naan, chicken, cauliflower, and grilled halloumi. The staff is excellent and the cozy environment is fun. Wish there was a location in the US!

this is eunice: was a slight letdown, but it doesn't draw away from the fact that everything else was spectacular.

Jasmin Pang: , the Moroccan cigars, the Ikra and humus dip to begin with. Then the chicken masabacha and the cauliflower - these two are must order, the chicken could be the best I’ve had, it’s so flavorful, tender but with texture. By the time I finished the meal I’m already thinking of booking my next visit :

Kristina Tubby: but we had such a good meal that it doesn't matter. I'll be back for sure.

Daniel Paravisini: . It only suffers the Groucho problem: nobody goes there anymore, it’s too crowded. But if you can plan ahead and book, totally worth it.

T Y: Such a cozy place. We enjoyed it very much.Charcuterie £20 - you can see how fatty those slices in the picture. I've seen pictures that looks like it's pure fat. It's rich and melt in your mouth. Pair great with our red wine that's slightly sweet but I would dare to get a second slice. Lucky 4 of us sharedOyster £4 each - small but very refreshing. Doesn't wow us but it's was goodBaccala £12 - fish in a paste form with cheese cracker/cake on the side. It sounded weird but think of it like tuna salad on a salty cracker but a more sophisticated taste. A bit too salty thoMozzarella £17 - the leafy greens on the sound was very interesting and gave the fish a new dimension. Very refreshing.Crab £18 - such a small portion. The crab has very mild taste so amongst all the salty dishes, this doesn't stand out that much. But you can taste the quality of the ingredients.Clams £17 - yummy. Cooked in a tomato-y sauce with some barley type of grains. Still on the more salty side but still manageableAngolotti £15 - small ravioli with meat stuff in the inside. Feels like a wonton soup to me but really really really salty. If it's not that salty, I think we would have loved it.Pappardelle £22 - typical ragu pasta dish. Tasty.Black pudding with squid £29 - star of the show. Absolutely delicious. Bit pricey for the portion tho.Lamb neck £32 - yummy yummy. Slightly pink on the inside. Our waitstaff was great but the wine guy was not helpful at all.

Deema SR: Overall, It was a one of the best breakfast experiences in London.Food was perfect and delicious, especially the truffle scrambled egg and the French toast, everything was beyond my expectations. The service was great and they were so friendly, their hospitality was great. Amazing place and well trained staff.I will definitely recommend it for everyone I know.

Stian Bjørnøy: We had the pleasure of having breakfast in this beautiful restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience. All of the individual parts of the English breakfast were good and tasty. The fruit bowl was fresh, the orange juice was one of the best I’ve had, and the choices of coffee and tea were impressive. The staff was professional and service-minded. We brought our 1-year-old son, and the staff handled it very well. They even had a highchair ready at our table before we walked in. Impressive! Our son had a lot of fun climbing up and down the beautiful, twisting, tree-like oak staircase that is a central part of the restaurants interior. It’s a bit expensive, but if you can afford eating at restaurants in this price range, it is a good alternative to the other more exclusive restaurants and cafes in the Mayfair area, like The Ritz or The Wolseley.I will definitely visit again to try more from the menu!

Nina-li: A must try breakfast. Be prepared to spend what a lot of people would rarely spend on breakfast, but very much worth the experience when in London. The restaurant is beautiful, the attention to detail is immaculate in terms of interior, food and service.Don’t skip on the pastries!

Core by Clare Smyth: what do users think?

Dominic Chong: Amazing food and service was simply delightful! I had what I feel is quite possibly the best potato I’ve ever had in my life here. This is probably the “cheapest” best value 3 Michelin starred meal I’ve had.

Gary Wannan: Stunning, sublime and sensational - a true 3-Michelin star experience. Staff were charming, and it was lovely to see Clare herself smile and welcome us, as she looked serenely through the glass wall from the kitchen. The food kept interest up throughout: the jerusalem artichoke and the black truffle linguini were the standouts for me; the carrot cake was nice, but didn't rise to the heights of the others. Wines were beautiful and generous. I'd love to go back!

rtinO tinO: and it was a blast. We really enjoyed our time there. Some of the dishes were surprising and very tasty. All the mains were actually very good

Lyle's: what do users think?

Wendy Mather: Best meal of my life and I returned over 4 times and it does not disappoint. Food exceptions, staff the BEST in london. Can’t wait to go backDietary restrictions: My colleague who dined with me is a pescatarian and they accommodated no problem. Also went with a customer another night and he didn’t mention he didn’t eat scallops till they were served and they gave him something else and allowed me to eat his portion of scallops 🙌🏻

Eduard Jost: We spent our first wedding anniversary at Lyle's and were absolutely delighted with our experience. The service and sommelier made us feel so comfortable, that it felt like being invited to friends. Unfortunately our friends don't cook as good though. The ambiente added to that feeling. Meaning the light and noise level was not perfect, yet perfectly imperfect. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves great food and a nice atmosphere.

John L.: Food: incredibly fresh and well executed. The pairings for wine and non-alcoholic options were excellent and I would recommend adding. Seasonal menu that was well-thought out and adventurous while still filling and fulfilling.Service: all the staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful. They all knew the menu well and were happy to be serving. Staff treated my wife like a queen for her birthday.Atmosphere: clean and cute, emphasized the food while being comfortable to linger in.Recommend visiting as often as the menu changes!

Andrew Lucas: Yum!

Giovanni Cei: Culinary experience of the highest level, chosen vegetarian menu which I attach. A growth of flavours, explosion of taste, quality and love for the ingredients that become food. Final with two exceptional desserts that make you leave smiling. Good range of wines, excellent bread, attentive, friendly and professional service. Very nice to see the team of young chefs working. Price not trivial, but the experience is worth what you spend. Recommended, Michelin star I would say well deserved

Katie Macqueen: One of the best meals we've had in a long time. Plus, Steph, our server, was absolutely amazing. We can't wait to come back again!Dietary restrictions: They were really accommodating, as I have a shellfish allergy.

Satnam Singh: . As a celiac sufferer I was incredibly grateful for the gluten-free adaptations, it is fantastic not to have "gluten-free by omossion" as happens in far too many other places. Service was warm and friendly, and my mocktails were excellent. I'll be back.Dietary restrictions: Excellent accommodation for celiac disease.

Fatmir Bytyqi: Very good

Trullo: what do users think?

Gryte Dargeviciute: an incredible experience at trullo! would recommend to all! delicious food and atmosphere was amazing! defiantly be coming back for sunday lunch again! 10/10

Elin Meredydd: This is a really decent Italian restaurant. We came for our anniversary and it was a nice touch when they gave us a printed menu with happy anniversary on it. All in all the service was attentive and friendly until some awkwardness towards the end of the meal. The small plates were tasty but not the best flavour combinations I've had. However the ragu was excellent and my partner had Eel Ravioli and it was well cooked. It was all very good but probably not outstanding for the pricing. This may be that it's a victim of its own success and is somewhere that's been hyped up to us so we were expecting more. I've recently eaten at Flour and Grape and manteca which have a similar offering and while Trullo is a head and shoulders above manteca in terms of flavour, I'd say it's menu and quality isn't to far removed from Flour & Grape despite being a bit pricier.Unfortunately, the experience was ruined for us due to our 1 hr 30mins being up at our table. This information was shared at the time of booking but we ate fairly quickly and only managed 2 courses during that time. We didn't drink any alcohol due to being sober so as you can imagine it wasn't as if we were dilly dallying eating our meals. The staff were apologetic that we had to leave but all in all the experience was awkward and ruined our special meal as we felt rushed and couldn't order dessert. In all fairness, they offered to move us to the bar for dessert but we felt uncomfortable and just wanted to leave by then, because I could see a senior staff member get annoyed at our waiter for not moving us along in the background. I'd like to emphasise that the staff are lovely but 1hr 30mins somehow ended up being not enough time to order and eat 2 courses and it shouldn't have been a responsibility that we had to shoulder. Is this restaurants priority to get as many bums on seats in a short space of time or is it to create beautiful dishes and authentic experiences that create memories for its diners?

Diego R-V: 8.7/10. Candlelit restaurant. Nice ambience. Perfect service and value for money. The pork fettuccine were excellent, as well as the Caccio Pepe. I would also recommend the beef ragú pappardelle. The crab fettuccine, on the other hand, were decent but not comparable. For dessert, the panna cotta was delicious. Hands down, best I’ve ever had.

Isa Jo: To start: we had a good meal. However given the prices you would expect to have more than ‘good’, rather an exceptional service and amazing food. This was not our experience. It was very informal which is not necessarily wrong but paper table cloth? The waiting times were long and the lamb tasted too wild. All in all ok, heavy on the wallet!

Scully St James's: what do users think?

Anton Bondarenko: Scully and his team are incredibly talented, a spectacular dinner as always. Good advice is to come really hungry as every serving is as generous as it is delicious. One of the best quality food restaurants in London, and definitely the most down to earth fine dining experience.

Dillon Roberts: Food, service and atmosphere were all exceptional. Friendly waiter Wellington made us feel so welcome and knew everything about the food and the accompanying wine, adding to the experience. Each course and wine pairing worked perfectly together and we only felt full after the last bite. The chefs were interested in our feedback for their new Cherry-based desert, showing how much care they put into every dish.We were a group of 4 people who ate the tasting menu with wine pairing.Overall - exceptional, can’t recommend this place highly enough

Yunjia X: Decided to come here for partner’s birthday after reading all the amazing reviews, we wouldn’t normally go for ‘fusion’ food but thought give this a try given the chef’s background. The food was interesting but I wouldn’t say the flavoring was ground breaking like many others. For me it’s more like a nostalgic taste and as if eating a combination of childhood flavors. Guess this is still a really nice thing. It’s fine the place didn’t recognize the special occasion but we weren’t impressed by the male staff who served us in the beginning; he was overly indifferent and then too busy chatting up the ladies next to us. Maya was super nice serving us in the end.

Pravesh Solanki: Visited with my best friend we both had the vegan tasting menu. The food was excellent in every way but the service elevated everything! From the moment I walked in I was well looked after, I just had to mention the word phone charger and somebody grabbed one plugged it in by my table before I’d sat down. The service was at the right level of a mixture between formal & relaxed. Out waitress despite only having worked there for 2 weeks was knowledgeable, delivered great conversation and most importantly was passionate about her job.I’ll be back…next time with my wife for a special occasion.

Maria Khan: Fabulous innovative menu!!

Roger Trapp: Great, interesting food and a nice buzz, even on a wet Tuesday evening. Will certainly go backDietary restrictions: One of party was gluten free and that was no problem

Santiago Cerro: Outstanding. From the first drink until the final morsel.Found myself dumbfounded by almost every course on the tasting menu. Each was perfectly balanced and exciting - a delight to eat.You are unlikely to have experienced such an eclectic palate in London. Cannot recommend the place enough.

Josh Klobe: With all sincerity do I say this was the best meal I have had in a decade. In on business from New York without a plan, we came across it near my office. The room is inviting and the staff are immediately inviting more so. Three of us got seated at the counter on the kitchen. Watching a few plates go by I immediately realized the options were going to be a problem, it looked good already. This was solved when I realized they had a tasting menu, which! They were even willing to make a substitution for on the fly.Every.single.plate was absolutely spectacular. All different, and all explained from the chef who’s warmth and passion was without artifice and came in the food. Scully himself is warm, generous, curious, and the sincerity you can taste. The explanations of the cuisine were a perfect match for the quality of the plate, careful and balanced and not over the top. Nothing obvious bound the plates except for each was a considered thought, some of multiple years of stored ingredients, such tasteful spices, so well balanced and earthen. All throughout I was just stunned that every dish that came was perfect in its own right and never trying to be more than the perfect it was.I don’t review restaurants, but I must here as the people and the food are just completely out of this world spectacular. 5 stars not enough and please go.

Mihai Apstru: Had a wonderful dinner with 2 friends last week. Meals were not only delicious but also spectacular to watch. Sambal / Labneh entry was amazing, and chocolate sorbet was just out of this world. Congrats to Mr Scully and the team.

Ormer Mayfair Restaurant: what do users think?

Shakira: Dull pace yummy food

Kalilu Kenneh: The food was cooked to perfection. Really enjoyed this place.

Guillaume LANGLOIS: Thanks again from France !

Maria Camilleri: Excellent service and great tasting menu. We went on a weekday and it was very quiet but the service was excellent throughout.

Hadrien T: Service très attentionné, menu du soir varié et travaillé. L’accompagnement des vins était magnifique.

Esther T: Came here for breakfast with my hubby and cousin. Staff were very welcoming, attentive and caring. Well made breakfast with fresh ingredients and the atmosphere was lovely. I would recommend coming here if you are looking for something a bit more special than your average breakfast place in London. Thank you Ormer.

Tom-Inge Fygle Hansen: Correct and friendly service. Had the 8 course tasting menu.

山下将弘: Awesome!!!

Dumitrache C: We had a wonderful culinary experience at the Ormer Mayfair Restaurant. I say experience, because one gets to know the staff by the name, elegant yet cozy interiors, lights that are dimmed and food coming at a pace that makes it really enjoyable. Before even starting the exquisite dinner experience, we had the chance of getting to know some of the wines and champagnes from the first class sommelier Piotr. The restaurant manager Lorenzo and his team are all very professional and funny. And then there is the chef and his team. Absolutely exceptional food that delivers both on presentation and taste. So many intriguing dishes made with only few ingredients is what makes a chef stand out from the crowd. One has three different tasting menu options able to please any requirements one might have. It should not come as a surprise to anyone that this hidden gem in Mayfair was awarded recently a Michelin star! Definitely we will eat there again soon!

Thiers: One of our best experiences in London. We would say top 5. The food was divine, we went for the pescatarian menu. They change their menu often. The ambience is really cozy, quiet and nice decor. Nice selection of paintings. It’s definitely a place if you like art. The staff were very friendly, polite, and really treated me and my guests very well. It was my birthday and they provided the best atmosphere we could have. Definitely we will return and highly recommend Ormer. When you choose a place more refined like this one you really expect everything sparkling and perfect. I am quite picky with places and I couldn’t find one single fault. I would suggest just a piano as background, apart of that, this experience was perfect.

Raphael F.: We have been really impressed by our experience at Ormer Mayfair. This is probably my favourite restaurant in london and i can’t wait to go back. The decoration is beautiful, unique and very cosy. I suggest you start by a drink at the bar. We had a 5 course menu; it was simply delicious and so beautifully presented. Last, the service is better than in 3 Michelin stars. I suggest you ask for the table of 4 behind the curtains.

Keith Mitchell: We dined at Ormer on the first night of a 5 day trip to London in January 2024 and it was a great start. The staff were friendly, very helpful and happy to chat between courses about our thoughts on the food. Each course was delicious and packed with flavour. From the generous canapes, deconstructed Waldorf salad opener, stunningly light barley brioche, richly flavoured warm Iberico ham jelly, via the cured mackerel, impressive 2 dish pigeon followed by the brown butter and chocolate dessert, right down to the petit fours we enjoyed the lot! The flavours were all distinct yet blended well.At the end of the meal we were given another petit four to take away plus a small signed and dated copy of the menu to keep- a lovely extra touch and something which just added to the experience. We'll definitely return the next time we're in London!

Carolina Paiz: My first fish & chips dinner in London. Good experience. Food was tasteful, large portions and friendly staff. Recommended!

Helen: I had an exceptional experience at Ormer. The tasting menu was a delight, showcasing a variety of dishes with intense flavours. The staff's friendliness created a comfortable atmosphere, and the sommelier added a touch of humour and charm to the evening. Each dish stood out with its unique taste, making it a memorable culinary adventure. Highly recommended for a delightful dining experience.

richard beevis: amazing and varied. Finished the meal with a wonderful desert which complimented the meal before it.Wholeheartedly recommend Ormer, ,how it is not Michelin Star is somewhat puzzling. Hopefully won’t be long .. it thoroughly deserves it.Thank you to all at Ormer for making this a truly wonderful experience.

Roy Peleg: had a wonderful date night at Ormer Mayfair. Went for the full tasting menu which had a few courses that were recently replaced. All the courses were excellent, no exception. Well executed, harmonious, wonderfully presented dishes, some quite original. The service was great - attentive, well paced and friendly. The design of the place felt a bit old, and the music volume was very low to the point you can hardly here it with chatter from the other tables becoming more prominent. The music itself that was playing wasn't really around a different theme or genre. The speakers also sounded a bit flat. This should be improved. Other than that, a really exceptional dinner. Highly recommended.

Farah Rahman: It was the most lovely experience. If you want a fine dining experience with a really comfortable relaxed, yet still very grand surroundings - you must come here. It was a truly remarkable evening. The dishes were something we’d never tasted. It was the first time we’d left a tasting menu feeling comfortable but fully content and well fed. The dishes just keep coming. There are plenty of fish dishes which keeps it light and you feeling good. It was unlike any tasting menu we’ve ever had.The service was superb. We were wonderfully looked after. Our sommelier had great suggestions. A five star experience.
