Puppet Theatre Barge - Little Venice: what do users think?

basher savage: Fantastic little theatre. We go a few times a year and the shows are always entertaining and well priced.

Philip Rowlands: Theatre on a barge, raked seating taking children's sightlines into account.

MATTHEW ROSE: As Americans visiting London with a 6 year old we wanted to give her some fun culture she wouldn't get back in the states and not something every other tourist has done so we booked tickets to the city mouse and the country mouse. So glad we did! The theater on the barge was so charming as was the locale where it is currently docked, little Venice. Better yet there seemed to be many Brits here and it was nice to get away from other tourists for a bit and "be a local". The people there were all so kind and it was obvious that there was a passion for this theater and the children it serves. The show itself was great fun, the puppeteering excellent, and our little one can't stop talking about "the cat" and how "silly" he was. One last thing, I didn't catch the name of the lovely lady running the concession but I recognized her from a picture on the barge and when I asked her she said she's been here for 40 years...... that is truly a labor of love and it really showed in everyone we came across at the barge. Highly recommended. I hope this place never goes away, it's like a wonderful trip back in time.

Nyla Fatima: Visited over the festive period, and what a show! It is such a unique form of entertainment and would recommend it to everyone! The barge itself was cosy and warm, with blankets offered too!

Pablo: If you generally like puppet theaters, this is for you. I liked a lot that it was played by young people with passion and it all felt very dynamic.

jay Mia: Love it. Been there twice already, Cute little boat theatre and fantastic performance everytime. Staff are super nice.

James Relph: Fantastic venue with extra special character. We went with our three year old daughter for a Saturday matinee, and all three of us loved the show for various reasons! Imaginative, well thought out, non-commercial entertainment at its finest! We've already booked to go back for a puppet show in May. Great fun & a nice change for a day out!

Liana Tamulaitis: Absolutely magical.

Miklós Péti: Fantastic experience for kids and adults alike.

Or Lopata: A very cool experience, not only for kids!

Oceana Malika: Went to see Little Red Riding Hood on the puppet theatre barge, Little Venice with my children. It was really good however, I was uncomfortable with people drinking alcohol around my children and felt uneasy as the man in front did not respect my personal space.

sotiris georgiou: Absolutely magical to see a play or a gig inside a barge in little Venice, feels so nice and weird

Hanna Davidziuk: Love their performances, such a nice and cozy atmosphere there. Thank you.

Margot Lefebvre: Wonderful experience!!! We will come back soon!! Thank you!

James Neave: So clever and entertaining. My 8 year old loved it. The story had depth while keeping kids entertained. Lots of types of puppets used. Really fantastic!

Ela Dany: Such a lovely experience for both myself and my little one...can't say which one of us enjoyed it more as it was absolutely fantastic. Went to watch The hare and the tortoise with a friend and her little one...we had equally as much joy as our little treasures. Will highly recommend to anyone. The performers are very talented and it's also a good way of introducing theatre to young children. Definitely will go again soon.

Nasima Choudhury: It's a great place

Natalia: Went to see Wolves in the walls and never expected that it would be so so so delightful! The production was great, but also the theatre itself is this small cosy and clearly loved place. The staff were all super nice and the place is well organized for both kids and adults. This theatre is a gem!

Nikolay Vinyukov: Just love them. Very professional.

Bruce Taylor: Great little theatre for kids. Our almost 4 year old grandson sat transfixed throughout 'the Everywhere Bear'. There was never a dull moment even for the accompanying adults!

Devlin Thornicroft: Lovely little theatre. We saw the production of The Everywhere Bear which our little one absolutely loved. The venue is small and cosy which adds to the ambiance and experience. We will be looking out for more productions here.

Ros Charles: I went with my just three year old grandson. It was a lovely experience, pitched just right for 2-5 yr old s

Stephen Mawhinney: Incredible theatre that I would highly recommend. Staff very helpful and friendly and layout designed for kids and parents with buggies etc.And the creativity shines through with amazing props and set designs as well as actors and puppeteers. One of the best theatre experiences in London with kids!

Unicorn Theatre: what do users think?

Dee P: We love coming to this Theatre to watch performances for the children. Our favorite has been 'Anansi the Spider'. I am going to have to take my child again to see it as months have passed and he still asks about it!Lovely staff are by the entrance to scan your QR code ticket on your arrival and then you can wait in the foyer where there are tables and chairs- you can also buy refreshments. The friendly staff will let you know when you are able to go upstairs to be seated for the show. There are toilets and baby changing areas. There is also a lift to go upstairs to the theatre.

Andrew Dougal: Short show but good for young 1-4 yr olds

Aymen Bessassi: Very good service, amazing coffee with very respectful customer service. would recommend, love rasa in the shop she was really nice and had a very good attitude. They have the best cakes in Bromley town.

katerina tacata: Nice but dirty and cold floors

Andy Lovell: Went to see The Squirrel, an interactive and immersive children's theatre experience. Every child in that room was rapt with attention and both our 4 y/o and 1 y/o adored the performance. Even the adults were in on the fun, a perfect morning treat for the younger ones.

Mon B.: Lovely staff, incredible interactive and funny. My daughter loved it!

Sarah Furnell: Utterly delightful. We took our 2¾ year old to see Squirrel, and he was utterly entranced, as we're his parents. What a beautiful show and a fabulous place. I look forward to more visits.

Julia Sv: Very lovely place and interesting performance. My toddler enjoyed the Squirrel very much!

Hemavathi Tamilmaran: Strongly recommend for babies under 5.

Simon Perez: Wonderful place for young children, we watched the lovely Squirrel show and it was brilliant

Nick Riley: Exremly friendly & helpful staff. Fantastic experience!

Matt Smith: The atmosphere was child-focused and welcoming. We saw Squirrel, which was imaginative, engaging, and fun. There was clear attention paid to small details. If we lived here, we would be regular children’s’ theatre goers at Unicorn Theatre.

Engee001: Loved The Invisible Man show. Great fun.

Phil Kench: Well organised and very child friendly

Konstantina Askianaki: Good for young children and toddlers

sammy austin: Went on a school trip with my son to watch 3 Billy goat's gruff and the whole class enjoyed it

Ellie-may Hobbs: Excellent theatre. I have watched multiple shows there and they have all been excellent. In one of the shows, someone had a medical emergency and the staff handled it exceptionally well. This is a great theatre if you want to bring your kids there and is worth the money you pay as well.

Isabel Harkness: Went with my family and grandchildren to see Guffalo and 3 Billy goats .

Herstory 101: The Three Billie Goats Gruff, relaxed edition , was fun, engaging and entertaining for my 4 year old. Would definitely visit again. X

Jenny Garber: Been to many performances over the past ten years, for babies and toddlers and school age. From gentle to playful to rumbustious they were all excellent, well crafted, well directed and well acted. A learning experience and a treat for eyes and ears. Just the way good theatre should be! Thanks Unicorn

John Lilley: Great for kids ...this time with grandparents

dominic ash: Great venue, very well run and welcoming. The play was great, I enjoyed it as much as my 3 year old did. Good fun.

Emy Bye: Wonderful show and performance today of "the three Billy goats gruff". My child laughed out loud few times, I was delighted. Friendly staff, informal atmosphere, new clean location and building. Highly recommended for families.

Masha Baird: Great space for young people entertainment

Alan Moore: Lovely theatre with fab plays

Basma aboudya: Perfect performance and good place

Lsa D: Great place to visit with the kids, great shows, good prices, friendly staff

joshua rogers: We really enjoyed the theatre. It's especially set out for children and the plays are aimed at children. The theatre has an intimate feel to it. You are sat very close to the actors. Only down fall is the seats are not very comfy for adults.

Anh Chu: We have seen quite a few shows here and the staff are always wonderful. Tickets are reasonable and the shows are varied. My daughter loves it. Would highly recommend the most recent show "The Bolds". Excellent staging and cast!

Suprasan Kodial: Went with family for a Sunday matinee BSL/Relaxed performance of The Bolds, in the Weston theatre.Having been to several relaxed performances in the West End in 1000+ seater halls, this was a wonderful change with the cozy setting. Our seats in row B centre had the performers up close; all of us felt much more immersed into the show than in the big theatres.Theatre staff were very helpful, with an introductory explanation of adaptations and an access assistant available throughout. The sound and lighting were perfect.

The Duke of York's Theatre: what do users think?

Rob Igo: Great staff and lovely venue

Drew: I like the Theatre auditorium. Last play I saw, Pillowman, was a stinker.

Emma Rodzik: and as with all London theatres, you need to be comfortable with relatively close seats, not much leg room and a general sense of light claustrophobia

Mark Edwards: All good! Except the seats had an obstructed view of stage. It did say when we booked but it was really quite bad, could only see half of stage

liam griggs: Nice medium sized theatre, easy to walk straight in and to your seats. I'm 6ft1' and I found the seats were very comfy, with leg room being just about okay.I went to see pillow man which was 2.5hrs long. It was a great length of show for the theatre, it looked as though almost every seat in the house would have a good view of stage. My main issue was that it felt like I was sitting in a sauna. Simply sitting still brought sweat to your brow, it seemed like most other people felt the same. They could really do with some better airflow or Aircon. We managed to get discounted seats at £30 a ticket, so amazing value for money.

Alethia Olmedo Perlasca: Amazing view from everywhere.

Jordan James: Pillow man was good. Acting ok Paul Kay is a legend, really carried this at times.Theatre bathrooms are almost funny how small they are. Shame you can hear the tube so much during, but not much can be done about that.

Michael Bates: Thought Pillowman was terrific. Good acting and very thought provoking.

Michael Scott: Outstanding theatre. Lovely staff. Saw "The Pillow Man" and enjoyed every minute of it.

Jo Ruddy: The Pillowman was excellent with an outstanding cast.View from seat E6 in the Royal Circle. Comfortable seat and ample legroom. A great view of the stage in its entirety.Lovely facilities and great location a few minutes walk from Charing Cross Station.

Bush Theatre: what do users think?

Shin Walt: I have watched 2 plays here and both have been brilliant. The staff are very friendly and the price of snacks and drinks are reasonable especially for London

Grandma Nonnie: Small cosy intimate theatre

Shona Hart: The artistic director is Lynette, she is one of the best directors in theatre. She knows how to organise shows beautifully. Dramaturgy excellence.

Hansley Gumbaketi: One of the best small theatre setups I have ever seen. The crowd too is a fair representation of the diversity of people who like to engage with the arts and culture in London. I take this to be because of its proximity to the diverse community around Shepherds Bush but then again, we were coming in from Brixton to see the show. The only issue I had was that the toilets are upstairs but the entrance in the foyer is on the ground level, so you need to go looking for it.It is quite convenient to get to the theatre from the tube or the busses. If you are coming in from Oxford, the tube also passes nearby before going into Hyde Park so you can quite easily come in for a show, then pop back to the Ox1.

SJ Pickthorne: Intimate theatre, great view and bar prices were reasonable. Loved that I could also get a mince pie at the bar ❤️

Rita: Welcoming staff and a great play and performance. Loved my evening experience. Thanks Bush theatre.!

Siobhan Allen: Incredible performance of Drowning and Dreaming. So many tiny details to the whole production, and all staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you

Rory Ward: Went to see an excellent one-man play which was beautiful and the space was really well designed and comfortable. The staff were very sweet and I’d definitely come back again.

Mark Wilkinson: Great original theatre worth supporting

andrew obrien: Cosy place for a coffee ect

The view to the stage was great. There was an announcement that the lead actor wasn't performing because of personal reasons. The under study of a British actor for the first time in history was going to take on the lead role of MJ.This actor was outstanding.
