Cory Abrahams: I don’t think i’ve ever been this excited and eager to provide a review. Enjoyable, truly educational, transformational. I started the course lacking the self-belief and confidence and came out of the classroom a changed person. Not just speaking in front of groups of people but in my everyday conversations which is massive considering I struggled massively with social anxiety and judgement. Vince is a man that deeply cares and takes pride in what he does. He has taught me more than he knows and provided me with more than he can realise. Book the course. Anthony Tsoflias: I did a one day course back in October and had an excellent experience. The class had about 8 students who all like me had confidence issues when it came to dreaded public speaking assignments. I cant say I came away a fully confident presenter ready to present to massive audiences but I came away with some valuable knowledge and tools that I can practice with and implement which have definitely reduced some of the anxiety.

Jade Orr: Having recently gained a thirst for training and education in my previous job role, I decided I wanted to further my career by participating in courses to gain further experiences and qualifications. Unlike other TtT course, this The College Of Publing speaking was inciteful, full of content , warm and inclusive. During my two days I learned more about the structure of training, learning models and modalities. I had two opportunities to test my skills in front of my classmates while feeling very much at ease. The location of the course is perfect and just a few minutes from St Pancras Station in a nice office with a light spacious classroom (there are also facilities on site like kettle microwave etc for lunch) there are lots of restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets should you need to pick up some lunch too. A max of 8 people per class makes for a perfect learning environment, not too crowded and enough people to provide constructive thoughts on the work or a good debate. Vine the trainer was great, good sense of humor, relaxed and highly knowledgeable. watch out for his dad jokes though! I would highly recommend this course to anyone wishing to enter the world of training or needs a refresher while gaining some recognized qualifications. Since leaving I am now considering the possibility delivering train the trainer lessons to others for a similar company or maybe even myself under similar conditions. it was so much fun, and I gained lots more confidence during this time.

I really enjoyed taking the course, I found the teaching tools extremely effective and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly my anxiety around public speaking faded. I can also say that I have found the skills learnt on the course to be very transferable. Since taking the course I have found it much easier interacting with groups both large and small. Thanks John for putting on such a great course. It taught me way more about public speaking and presenting than anything learnt through the traditional education system.

John is such a skilled facilitator, he puts everyone at ease and takes the group through a series of very carefully considered steps towards gaining their confidence speaking in front of a group. Tom Schnegg: Going into the course I expected to learn how to talk confidently in front of an audience and how to present myself in a more captivating way. Attending this course allowed me to achieve this and more, I gained far more from this public speaking course than I had initially anticipated. The realisation of ideas and techniques to speak in front of others are lessons I will use throughout my life. As the course developed I truly started to enjoy public speaking and the confidence within myself to stand in front of others. Lloyd Hanslow: I spent 2 days with Kim on one of her training courses. The skills i learnt i wish i had 20 years ago. i now not only have more confidence in myself when addressing groups but i understand body language so know how to hold myself. It also allows me to pick up on how people are interpreting what i say by again their body language. andrew cavell: I found the public speaking course extremely beneficial. I am not confident in public speaking or in speech writing and Kim helped me to control my nerves and structure my speech to give it more impact. She is an extremely experienced teacher and gives succinct and pertinent advice on many aspects I had not even considered, such as how best to begin and end a speech, how to stand and breathe, how to answer Q&As. The list goes on and on. I am sure your speech will be much improved by the course, whatever your start point.

Susannah Hill: This public speaking course has been life changing. Michael has given me skills to overcome my fear and to focus on what I need to in order to present to a room full of people, something i never thought I would overcome. The content of the course is useful and relevant. I was also incredibly fortunate that on the second day of the training programme Michael tailored it directly to my work setting and presentations.
Andrew Pooley: Michael was a fantastic teacher. The professional public speaking course was small in numbers which meant we all could engage and get personalised feedback. I would not hesitate to recommend Michael to any colleagues or friends interested in improving their public speaking skills.
Lisa Frykman: Fabulous, there was never a dull moment, it was easy to follow and relate to and plenty of useful tips… and I found myself smiling throughout pretty much the whole session. I don’t think I’ve ever been on such an engaging and fun training session.

One of the biggest qualities of the course was that as we went through the day and were taught presenting techniques, we got to put these techniques into practice within the controlled environment of the course - what better way to transform knowledge and techniques into actual skills! Our group was perfect size to allow each and everyone of us ample opportunities to practice presenting and receive and give feedback to focus on our strengths and allow us to work on suggestions. The sessions come very naturally and over the last couple of months, I have certainly improved my public speaking skills. Amir: Cannot recommend enough! I have gone from being someone with extreme social anxiety in my every day life, let alone public speaking, to having my life back. I now deliver regular presentations at work, manage a team and feel much more confident in social situations. I cannot thank these guys enough for the techniques they have taught me, and also for providing me with a safe environment to “fail” enough times until I stopped being fearful of speaking. This group truly is not like any other, I tried out several different groups prior to joining. At the academy, they provide multiple speaking opportunities per session, they prepare you for real-world scenarios, and they are also very supportive. As someone who works in the corporate world, I found this group ticked every box.
Yanmei tang: This has been a very positive experience to have these sessions at Academy of public speakers. It is always better to have practice like this with a group of people than to practice by myself. I used to struggle to have interactive sessions at work especially because I came from a non-English speaking country. I joined since beginning of this year and have done 6 rounds of prepared speeches along with many others spontaneous speeches . I can see the difference it has for me and would highly recommend it.
Ian McNamara: My name is Ian McNamara, I joined the academy around 5 or 6 months a go. Andy and Brian have been very supportive since i joined, as i am totally blind i am unable to see the timer etc however they make sure they tell me what my timings are as i am getting close to the min and max timings. They also take the time to assist me if there is something i can’t access. I also love the fact that other members do not hold back on there feedback just because i can’t see, i have payed to improve my speaking skills therefor it is important that i know what needs to be improved. The community is very relaxed and a safe place to learn and is really helping me to become a more confident speaker and i am really starting to believe that i could one day be a professional motivational speaker and mentor to help other people to overcome there fears.

Members get a chance to speak every single session, and the programme to develop your public speaking skills is well thought out. I couldn’t recommend the Academy of Public Speakers more highly.

I gained a lot during the sessions I attended and realised presenting is not as scary as I thought. As a member you also get the opportunity to prepare and present a presentation to the group. My trainer Corrina, was extremely professional and experienced in delivering the course and tailoring it meet my goal. Practice and theory balanced very nicely. I am happy to recommend the course if you are looking to start presenting or looking to home your skills!

Pratik Kolekar: I did the course on Internal Communications and without doubt it was wonderfully structured with well-rounded curriculum. Was helped further by the fact that we had an even better trainer. Lectures are strong, informative, and, interactive. The exercises give you hands-on experience of real-life scenarios with feedback. Participants are from across the globe so understanding trends, practices and experiences in various geographies and industries is easier. Would recommend it to all IC professionals who want to gain knowledge as well as experience at the same time.

Martina Fuchs: I took lessons at the London Speech Workshop to soften my accent and work on my intonation as a journalist and event moderator with German as my mother tongue. My coach Sam has been extraordinary and absolutely transformative! Towards the middle of the course I could hardly recognise my own voice anymore. Her techniques and training skills greatly helped me with elocution, intonation and learning non-rhotic sounds.I can definitely recommend this school to future students from any professional and linguistic backgrounds!

Zuhamy Villasenor: From feeling not listened to or important to feeling in control and heard is what LSW did for me, in specific my coach Kate Guest. She helped me identify how to pronounce my consonants. By doing so, I moved away from vague and uncertain speech to a serene and clear one. I feel in control. Vince: I would highly recommend London Speech Workshop to those lacking confidence in public speaking and diction. Kate Guest has been an amazing coach, and has taught me a variety of ways to improve my elocution and presentation skills. For instance, concepts such as Dark L or Schwa words. Through these concepts, I now own the word, instead of letting the word own me. With this confidence I have begun to play with words and really define the emotion I want to convey through it too. Leanne Kelly: Joined toastmasters at the beginning of 2018 and am loving the whole experience. From the great content provided to the variety of roles you can participate in each week. It’s really great to be part of such an inspiring club with people who feel the same way. I can already see an increase in my confidence and public speaking at work.
