The University of Law - London Moorgate: what do users think?

Stefania Nedelcu: Very bad experience. After receiving a conditional offer, I have sent all the documents they have requested a week before the deadline. I called them every day in the week leading to the deadline and no one was able to give me an update, just that the application is with another team. Now I’ve been told it’s too late to consider my application because the deadline has passed. Terrible!
Response: Thank you for taking the time to submit a review Stefania. Our student’s experience is of the utmost importance to us, so it concerns us to hear about your disappointing experience. We have passed your comments on to the relevant teams as feedback. If you wish to speak with our Complaints Team, so that they can review your comments and take any appropriate actions as necessary, please contact them at complaints@law.ac.uk

Priya Shah: EXTREMELY IRONIC THAT THEY ARE AN INSTITUTION OF LAW WHEN THIS IS THE BIGGEST SCAM OF A UNIVERSITY. Probably one of the worst educational institutions in Europe or even the world. I truly believe their high rankings are either paid-for or forged. There is absolutely no customer service. They probably have 3 people running the phone lines. The finance and visa teams are IMPOSSIBLE to reach. I even FLEW IN and went to campus to speak to those departments in person and was told they were not stationed at the university. I have a an unconditional offer from them with a scholarship and submitted ALL my documents and payments way ahead of time to have them tell me after weeks and weeks of pointlessly chasing them, that I cannot get my CAS and I would have to study online. Not only did they rob me of the chance to study face to face and gain more opportunities of knowing the UK working environment, but based on their offer I had rented a place and booked a flight to start my studying in London. I had to cancel all of that and it cost me a lot. Not even an apology. Straight up scammers. PS. their moto is "please send us an email". NOT ONCE did they respond to mine and when I called they claimed they never got any emails. When I gave them the references and proved I had sent them, they told me (wait for it) "SEND AN EMAIL" TOTAL JOKE
Response: Thank you for taking the time to submit a review Priya. We are very sorry to hear about your negative experience as student experience is of the utmost importance to us. We have passed your comments on to the relevant teams and requested they reach out to you. We would encourage you to please refer to our Student Complaints Policy - this is available on our website but here is the direct link: https://www.law.ac.uk/globalassets/13.-media--doc-repo/08.-policies/pdf_policies_student-complaints-policy.pdf If you would like to make a complaint, please contact our Complaints Team directly, via complaints@law.ac.uk. Martin B: Most of the tutors are excellent. The facilities are very good. It’s when you need to talk to someone on the phone that things take a turn for the worse. It’s often impossible to get through to most departments. The Assessments team in particular can be pretty hopeless - the lady who has been manning the phones for the last while has a very loose grasp of university assessment policies, often completely misstating them, and has a tendency to be rather impolite.
Response: Hi Martin. We're sorry to hear about this experience, but we'd still like to help if we can. If you're still looking for assistance please contact Moorgate Student Services at: studentinfo-moorgate@law.ac.uk. Thank you.

Ajit Singh: VERY BAD EXPERIENCE !! Alexis M Wellington: Starting my masters in cyber security and data governance this year. I did my Bachelor with them as well in business management and digital marketing. So far I had a good experience. Teachers are very passionate and they love their jobs. They are always looking for ways to make classes interesting by having group projects. I gave 4 stars because the administration team of the university is not good. I got my timetable 1 week before starting classes...they are a bit difficult to reach over the phone and talk with the right person for inquiries is not easy....and they don’t reply to emails fast. The administration of the university is a bit messy, they need better people to manage the university. Overall im happy with this university and I will recommend it to someone looking to study business subjects.

Simmy Sumara: Worst university Don’t apply in law literally they are wasted our time I applied for sept 2022 thn they differ for Jan nd after 1 month they reject my application Now it very difficult to me to caught jan intake

J: All I remember from this place is negative memories. Absolutely terrible customer service. Spoke to a woman from the assessments department named Sharania and she was absolutely no help towards me when I was trying to find out about my results. She was very rude and patronising towards me. Pathetic.

M TnyceGuy: Their Finance Team service is atrocious and appalling. All calls should be recorded to monitor their call handling. Disappointed you pay University of Law they refuse to let you look at feedback when you pass!? They say when people fail they get feedback. This place is awful! Update: Appalling how they handle students here.
Response: Thank you for your review, we are very sorry to hear that you’ve had a negative experience as student experience is of the utmost importance to us. Nusrat I: Worst instiution in the world, wish i knew how terrible it was. Run in the most inefficient and inadequate manner. Could be run better by a 5 year old. Honestly, run the other way and save your pennies, because boy i wish i did!! Just another life mistake, but please learn from my experience.

Mikkel Brandsæter Karlsen: Ridiculously bad customer service and administration from this institution. They gave me an unconditional offer and I met all requirements for a CAS, then they asked me to pay £3,000 in order to request the CAS. A few weeks later they tell me that they are at capacity for issuing CAS numbers and that they will not proceed with my application. I understand that they have a capacity for the CAS number but then they shouldn’t have given me an unconditional offer as an international student who informed them I needed a student visa. Then they made me pay a huge amount of money when they knew I wouldn’t get a CAS? I had already moved to London when they gave me an unconditional offer. They didn’t reply to emails or phone calls, just sent me a pre-made email without any regard for my situation, letting me know that they wouldn’t proceed with my application, but that I was “welcome” to defer my offer to next year. No personal contact. Just terrible administration and no communication between departments. If you need a student route visa I would not recommend this uni.
Response: Thank you for your review Mikkel and for bring this to our attention. Our student’s experience is of the utmost importance to us, so it concerns us to hear about your disappointing experience. We have passed your comments on to the relevant teams as feedback. Aisha: My friend has had such a mentally draining experience with the visa compliance team. She has paid her full tuiton fees alongside a complete application for a CAS since late June. The team has failed to process any of the documents and continuously send irrelevant emails that do not relate to the documents she has attached to her form. Countless number of calls, emails and chasing up have led to nothing except a ‘wait for an email’ (which never arrives). Instead of guidance, she has now received communications that she’s missed the deadline for her CAS and needs to defer or transfer her studies. How is it acceptable for any educational institution to treat their onboarding students like this!
Response: We're very sorry to hear your friend had a negative experience. The University is responsible for sponsoring student visas, however the process of approving them is subject to the Home Office requirements. If your friend wishes, she can speak with our Complaints Team, so that they can better understand her situation and take any action necessary. She can contact them at complaints@law.ac.uk. Best, ULaw Social Team

J Nylie: All international students MUST AVOID THEY STOLE THE CAS DEPOSIT REFUSED TO REFUND SAME story like all the other reviews here This University is a SCAM. They never issue a CAS, Please apply to other universities, Birkbeck gave me a CAS within 2 weeks with the same documents.

Alexis M Wellington: I am doing my last year at the university of law - business school. Classes are relatively small which is awesome because professors can explain you things better without rushing. My teachers as really good and they are passionate about teaching. They are really easy to talk to and they are always just an email away. I have been told that I can do my masters for free with them in September and I am very exited to do my Ms in Cyber Management security... especially because I will not have to pay for it and ones again all teachers are absolutely amazing. If you are looking to get a (H) BA in business management this is a great university with a great library and lot of studying areas, some got renovated this year and they have cozy studying tables and sofas.

sara Jaliel: Universities are supposed to help you out but this one is the worst at this. I hope they improve their facilities and student service.

Nicolette Folse: I attended and graduated in 2008! The contract law course is exceptional as the GDL made me an educated person and opened the door to me operating my own paralegal business in the states, as well as, the opportunity to teach the law! Nicole Kumar aka Nicole Gaudet

This enables hardworking students from more challenging backgrounds greater social mobility and an opportunity to lift their ambitions and empower their communities, well done Westminster.

Michael Zamecnik: I studied the LPC there in 2016. The facilities are sufficient and the teaching is mostly of good quality. The continuing expansion of the LPC programme cohorts means that the library and study areas do suffer from excessive crowding most of the time - try to get an empty classroom to do your revision if you can!

San Z: extremely ridiculous service. not worth the money! they cant even enroll a person into correct course. even the response time is ridiculously lousy and slow! definitely wont recomend it at all. very unprofessional.. !!!

O “SD” A: Scam university with scam lecturers and staff. The worst decision of my life to join this university. Avoid this place if you wanna make your future better

Wiktor Delimat: The facilities are sufficient and the teaching is of a very high quality. However, you will find that it does get quite overcrowded and the library spaces are hard to come by.

Mahida Dilavarsinh: These is good college and excellent teaching.

Lauren Shaw: COVID19 - wont allow deferral of course or refund of courses not started. The moral compass of this company is seriously lacking. Profiting off uncontrollable changes in circumstances.

Mike Behar IG architectural_tour_london: Spectacular building where people train to be top lawyers and there are very good facilities

Humpty Dumpty: The library here is much better than business school

LAKKIREDDY PULLAREDDY: Good college
