Jacquie Kiltie: After visiting London a few times my son finally got his wish to visit Hamleys and from his perspective it was VERY impressive. The sheer size of the store alone put a smile on his face. But an 11 year old is easily pleased and you can look on the website for the store info. I consider it my job to tell it like it is. Before visiting please be aware of a few facts that aren’t so widely advertised. * Theres every chance you will have to queue just to enter the store. * The queue is unpleasant, poorly thought out and unpleasantly managed. * Once inside, the staff are not particularly pleasant, child friendly or helpful. * The store is NOT interactive in any respect, in fact children are discouraged from touching displays. * There are no workshops, areas to encourage play or demonstrations in-store. * The toys are well displayed according to brand, type of toy etc. and they have an excellent range of toys. * My 11 year old quickly tired of “window shopping” after he had found the toy he wanted and had most fun posing for the camera next to his favourite displays. * In summary its not an attraction despite the hype - its simply a large toy shop.

Somewhere Sunday: I just absolutely love this place, it makes me feel like a kid again, so much amazing stock really well laid out store, the staff interaction and display is second to none. This truly is still a retail gem and cements the opinion that physical store fronts are required over online only services. Thank you for the incredible experience, each and every time.

Srujan Joshi: Cute little toy shop in Covent Garden. They specialize in pop up theatres. The lady at the counter, Roberta, was super nice and took the time to demonstrate how each of the toys worked and the history behind the store.

Dakshin M Kumudhini: Very kind store operators you can ever come across in your life. I have visited the store twice and it was always during the time of closing. They always ensured to let me in though I didn’t intend to buy anything in particular. However, I can’t stop myself from visiting the store because it feels so magical to step in. I wish I knew the intricacies of puppeteers and the theatre world to enjoy the toys and other accessories they sell. But I’m sure I know where to go, if I need to get a unique and quirky gift for my thespian friends.

Matthew C: This place is quaint, and fun, but a bit of a stretch to label it a toy shop. It is a tiny upstairs shop with miniature toy theatre props and backdrops. The stock was really cute when we visited, but we weren’t blown away. I was expecting more from the shop, and that’s why I was disappointed, maybe that’s my fault for not researching it properly.

Helen Gu: Very good shop, staff was very helpful and suggested me to select the proper gift (the Victorian era theater coloring and decorating kit) for my friend. The price is also within the acceptable range. If you like the Victorian era style, definitely worth a visit.

Carlos Ferreira: This shop is a little gem hidden in South London. I was shocked at how much they had in stock, I wanted to buy everything! Obviously I was fascinated over the Beyblades which is one of my childhood obsessions. But I was mainly there to hunt for Pokémon cards, which they had in stock! Totally recommend it for anyone who is looking to buy some really cool toys at good prices! I am definitely visiting again soon :)

Carl “Strider1979” Busby: Decent size toy shop. Not exactly toys r us but they are no longer with us so this is my nearest proper toyshop near Morden. A good selection of different toys there for kids of all ages. Had quite a few things on sale when I went as well.
Michael Waters: Went to buy a pack of cards and Uno for a flat party as I saw the prices, especially for Uno, were cheaper. It’s super handy to have The Entertainer in Wimbledon. Simple purchase, friendly and helpful staff, lower prices - what more could you want?

hesha barker: Opening hours were showing as 9pm but they closed 7:30pm as we were getting to build a bear workshop shop entrance. Staff and manager was unhelpful said it takes certain time for the process (it takes about 2 mins to complete). My child was in tears as we made 90 minutes journey to Hamleys. Wasn’t what I expected at all for a toy shop.

SirTabithaThe3rd pp: Before I start i apologize for my name. Today (august 4th 2022) around 10:30, me and my best friend went to Build-A-Bear at this location. We were amazed by all of the items. When we got in line for stuffing we were looking at the soundtrack insert, visibly confused. Georgia came up to us and helped us through every step of the way, answering all of our questions. She was so kind and gave us all of her attention, while also doing a wonderful job at her work. She was involved with us, gave us facts, treated us with respect and anything else good. Honestly she made the experience so much better for me and my friend. Please give Georgia a raise, she deserves it. Thank you so much for this memory Georgia!

mog: We were served by Ryan (I think! Apologies if I’ve got your name incorrect) who was an absolute credit to the store. He served us a green frog for our daughter just before you closed a week ago and went above and beyond to make our experience a happy one. We left the store praising him and his excellent customer service, and hope that he gets the recognition he deserves from upper management! We guessed he might be a supervisor or a manager from his leadership, but if he isn’t yet, he deserves a promotion! All staff were friendly and welcoming, and everyone seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Worth a visit :)
Melissa Moore: Overcharged £5 in store for an item I did not buy. . Noticed the mistake when I got home. Called build a bear Hamleys, who stated that they can not refund over the phone. They gave me build a bear customer services number based in US. To say they were useless is an understatement. I will never see the £5 again. Half an hour on the phone to be told they cam do nothing. Unfortunately my daughter likes to get a build a bear every birthday. But this was the last time. If they cant sort a simple issue, I will not be buying anymore overpriced bears.

The Nursery Nurse: I don’t know if this wonderful person will ever see this. Today was my daughter’s first Build a Bear experience and Dimitri (I hope i’ve spelt it correctly 😊) made my daughters experience absolutely incredible! The dedication shown was exceptional and my daughter was made to feel so special when it came to her turn. Dimitri made the whole experience so memorable and magical. Thank you so much 🖤 (I got permission for this photo )

Lili Bakó: It is super difficult to find. The map currently shows it incorrectly. This was super annoying when we were looking for it 1 hour before they close. Otherwise a really nice but tiny shop. If you want their whole selection, this is not your store. If you just want the basics, or any, then it is also great. We went for any, and ended up buying a brown fluffy bear with all the clothes we wanted 😊 staff was nice and helpful, they kindly walked us through the process and showed all the options.

Krupali Shah: U will feel like a small kid once you enter this store. One stop destination for kids toys. Harry potter, disney, slates, tv cartoons, board games etc. everything under one roof. I stopped myself from buying literally a lot of things😂they also have fun stuff performed by staff.Very engaging and lively store.

Roberto Cosenza: Great toy shop with a large, well organised selection. It can be crowded (they could do with more people at the till) so take your time.

Markus Schmidt: Always the same - awful customer service. Deliberately up-prizing shop floor prizes and then discussing price matches vs their own home page. I noticed that even amongst their own stores they price differently. Let alone the fact that they already way more expensive than any other high street shop. In short, a total rip-off master!

Yakuza: Smyths is my go to for toys, great store with a wide selection of toys at great value. What I live about this store in particular is their isle of Funko pops. When I walk into the store, this is the first place I check. Could spend hours in this store and never get bored. I have bought many items from this store and have helped grow my love of funko pops. Any birthday occasions I can drive to the store and pick a gift at great prices! I usually attend the store with my kids and let them pick a few things that makes them happy. Their website is great as you can check stock at your nearest store. Reserving items is great and the team here are very friendly and extremely helpful. Free parking outside of the store is a huge bonus!

KAKO SHIRAZI BIKER: I have visited this branch with my daughter. I have bought a toy and I came back after 10 minutes I forgot to bring the receipt but the toy didn’t work correctly, I was about to change it but the staff started to argue with me and they don’t want to change it for me and he started to told me go out from the shop and my daughter started to feel frustrated she is just 7 years old the guy make her upset! The surprise thing is the store manager came afterward and instead of saying sorry he defenced from his staff , this kind of behaviour shows inexperienced manager !!! Avoid this store.

Val Sh: I have visited today Friern Barnet store and I was extremely disappointed with the service. My kids have chosen Lego presents as my son birthday is today and my daughters tmrw. When I tried to pay on the till, the item was £69.99 but I was asked to pay £129.99. I have informed the staff and I have asked for Managers help and explained it’s my son birthday, only to be told NO I cant help you. He showed absolutely not interested what I was saying. No apologies. No help. Very poor service. I left the store with no presents and both kids crying as I couldn’t afford for that price. Very disappointing and it’s misleading.
rafael rafa: The staff are very unhelpful and lazy making excuses not to do their job ,the shop wasn’t even busy and they wouldn’t get the products that were in the top shelf I was in a group of four and we were all asking to have a look at the box that was at the top shelve because it had the products we were looking for and they were not on the accessible part of the shelf

SDS: Great collection of toys. Large store with two floors. Ample floor area , no overcrowding. Almost all types of toys in collection. Kids go crazy. Ample parking . Just near the Junction1 of M1.
Erin Rutter: Staff are really rude and unhelpful. Myself and another customer were confused by some signage and both went to queue in the wrong place. Staff basically mocked us for it and told us it was obvious and sneered at the idea that their signs were slightly confusing and unclear

Marius Sarka: I was today to buy a present for my associate daughter, the staff was very helpful and friendly and guided me to buy something nice for a 2y girl ! The funny part was when I wanted to pay at the cashier and I asked nicely if is possible at list a 10% discount and the lady was rude and saying that she will be in trouble but in fact she was the manager 😂 what a selfish non smiley joke ! Next time I will give you 10% extra on top !!!
alexia landini: Very nice staff and ready to help customers .. I bought a scooter yesterday for my daughter one of the staff (Ahmed) help me to fix as well the scooter very good worker .. and the manager on till help me to take my child bed in the car….. very good customer service

Christopher Prain: During the lockdown, Nicki at Pingo Pongo offered the most fabulous service for our daughter’s birthday. We made contact through the number on the home page of the website and she immediately replied to our request with photos of the options available and arranged for delivery all beautifully wrapped and with a balloon. The perfect local toy shop with thoughtful and beautiful toys with exemplary service. If I could give 10 Stars I would.

Nikki, is so knowledgeable and helpful. She has curated a range of toys that are not only educational and unique but capture children’s imagination and creativity and many of the toys are wooden and eco friendly. I now only go to Pingo Pongo to purchase toys!

Laura Skilton: Pingo Pongo is such a lovely shop with high quality toys, super friendly and helpful stuff and space for kids to play while you browse. During the lockdown, I asked for some help sourcing a toy my child had lost. THey got back immediately and delivered the toy to my door a few hours later! Absolutely incredible service. Serge Versille: Bought a few toys there, quite a success for the gifts we wanted to make for two kids (ages 7 and 11). The selection is very good to start with and these guys really did their homework and helped us find what we needed quickly. Planning to be back to get some Christmas gifts too.

San Han: Took my children to this shop today for the childrens yoga session and I was very please with how professional and kind the instructor Shalini was. I was pleasantly surprised, its a lovely local toy store that the kids really enjoyed spending time in.

Kevin Sheppard: Fun little toy shop. Has a play area in the back with lots for kids to try and coffee and tea for parents. Staff was very helpful in finding just the right toy.
