Hazelwood padel tennis club - Padel Tennis London: what do users think?

Anthony Mixides: Discovered paddle tennis recently, great to play with 4 people and lots of fun for all ages. Coaches are very helpful by explaining the rules and giving tips on game strategy. Get yourself over and have a game with friends. Loads of fun.

Little Red Led: What a privilege to experience playing padel tennis at such a lovely venue. Absolutely love it. Definitely an addictive game... a great way to have fun and get some exercise. Recommend for all ages.. 👍👍👍👌👌👌

Jack Teper: Fantastic club, great atmosphere, padel and tennis courts are top quality! Padel and tennis league very competitive and great fun!

kyri kyriakou: Tried this at hazelwood .great fun...well worth giving it a go...and the facilities at the club are great as well. If you have not tried paddle you are missing out get down to Hazelwood and give it a go.

Bilal H. Salman: Played the Roland Garros Social Tournament on Sunday 29/5/22. It was tiring but great fun. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Mitsuko Seto: It was the best tennis court I ever played in my life. It’s surrounded by the beautiful nature.

Divino Neto (dgmneto): Great tennis courts. Amazing staff. The only water fountain is outside and the staff won’t give you tap water. A bit annoying given the fountain remains exposed to the weather and to other animals.

Krzysztof Sulinski: Nice place to take a coffe and cake :)
Response: Thanks Krzysztof for the review!

Jerone Tan: Gorgeous location. So pretty.Court was flat but it’s tarmac so bounce is different from usual tennis courts.

Peter Parker’s Rock N Roll Club: For starters outside drinks not allowed, only the overpriced drinks from the club house. Secondly, all the staff care about is protecting their coaching cartel, by insisting no one use a ball hopper on court, unless you are one of their registered coaches - breaking fundamental human rights including Article 20, 1. Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and association. 2. No one may be compelled to belong to an association. I have played at the very best tennis clubs in the world. This one is the very worst I have ever had the misfortune to experience.

Rex Wickham: Well looked after tennis courts with small cafe and shop adjacent. Shop sells tennis essentials.

Stratford Padel Club: what do users think?

Jo Ward: This place is amazing. Everyone is really nice and helpful. There are five Padel courts, and they’re always busy with people loving playing Padel - the fastest growing sport in Europe. It’s dog friendly. The bar serves nice wine, beers, and there’s often food. I literally cannot fault this place - it’s like going on a Spanish holiday… in Stratford!

Chris Coombs: Very friendly place, but it’s pretty impossible to book a court now to play with friends. Even when booking at the maximum time out, 4 weeks in advance. Seems all the slots get prebooked or something. Have to play fast less now just because not possible to get a slot.
Response: hi Chris, thanks for your review. During peak time, our courts are mostly booked by players joining matches by level and yes, there is high demand for our courts. 95% of our players join matches with players of similar level who they meet at the club, rather than book courts to play with their friends, which explains why you may struggle to find availability. Our matches availability is very high though, so there are plenty of opportunities for players to play. In addition, with so many tournaments at the end of the year, we gradually release more courts as we see the number of registrations and assess how many courts we need and until what time. So please keep an eye on the app and our groups, as more courts get released. Many thanks again for your review and hope we see you and your friends back soon! Rgs, SPC Team

Iain Cooper: 5 indoor courts, very well maintained and great atmosphere. You can hire rackets for £3 (good value) and buy balls from behind the bar. Really friendly staff, and good bar area for post game drinks! The only reason for reducing this by 1 star is that the changing rooms are very basic (think Sunday league football) - otherwise this is a great, welcoming club in a convenient location
Response: Thank you for your review Iain! We actually have 5 indoor courts, and are the biggest club in the UK, with more than 3500 players. Bats are free to rent for everyone coming to play at the club for the first time and for all the players on our Starter package membership. Our changing rooms are being refurbished, and will look very differently in preparation for our February Tournament in a couple of weeks. We also serve delicious hot food in our bar area, hope you get to sample some of it on your next visit! See you soon, SPC Team

Dana: This place is fantastic. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and they’ve set the tone for a welcoming environment for pádel players of all levels. It’s very easy to sign up for a game with players of your approximate level — they’ve removed the friction of finding three other players who can make it at the same time that you can, and when a court is available, and…. You simply sign up for an individual spot in a match and you show up at the time of the match and you play! Magic. I could go on for a while about this place. In short, though, I’m a fan and I’m grateful for its existence, so that I can feed my pádel addiction and make new friends along the way :).

Shaun Stephens: It was the first time in playing Padel tennis! And I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff and the venue was first class. It was warm and friendly.I will definitely go again..1st class.

D IL: Great place to play pádel and enjoy a good moment with friends! 🎾🍻

Adil Abdulrazak: Great experience... friendly atmosphere and helpful staff.
Response: Adil, thank you so much for the kind review, hope we see you back soon on court!

Juan J. Lopez: Great atmosphere, staff is always friendly and welcoming. They regularly organise social events which are a great way to get into the sport and meet other people in your same level of playing. The coaching lessons are also great. Very thankful for having this in London!

Ricardo: Worth going there despite being far from where I live. Nice staff and good courts!

Raju Reddy: Visited the cafe as part of office party for team building. Barbeque arranged was nice and clean facilities across the cafe.

Mario G: Nice staff, good court and amazing location for us! Will be back again soon 🎾

Rafa Achnitz: Horrible coffe, terrible food quality and the customer service is really bad. They should review the way that they are doing their business. For the expensive prices they should have more quality in their food e.g A coffe that start with the name "Nutella" WITHOUT Nutella but a cheaper chocolate instead should be review.

Maryna K.: This sports centre is hidden between the bushes of Hyde Park. It has a lovely green play area. The only entrance to this location - through the Cafe nearby the Princess Gate. We love it! Just imagine how nice to come with a picnic here. And the garden has a good exposition of rare flowers and plants. Truly calm place to go and relax.
Response: Thanks Maryna! :)

Kris Sylvester: Pretty easy to get to. Folks at the desk are pleasant enough. You also have a cafe with drinks and bites. The courts are in decent shape. We played for 1 hour and lost 3 of our 6 balls. We desperately need lessons. Sadly, one of the instructors we reached out to failed to respond to our email. Ah well, whatcha goin to do?

Bilal H. Salman: Played tennis here today, like a few times before. Great fun!!

Sergei Kosharson: Lovely place in Hyde Park. Beautiful landscape! Nice tennis courts. Good coffee.
Response: Thank you very much for the great review Sergei! :)

Rocks Lane Bishops Park Tennis Centre: what do users think?

derek z: Great place with good courts and excellent managing team on site, user friendly booking system. Having played most of the public courts in Zone 2 of London myself, I would say this place would rank at the top. Moe and Vas are both great coach for a typical USAT 3.0/3.5 recreational player like me who is looking for improving his/her game but has a busy professional life. In particular, Vas is easily the best coach I have met in London (I moved across the pond 5 years ago). He is very perceptive/articulate/methodical/affable. He can quickly understand the issue and come up with a real solution and explain it clearly to the audience and use a methodical drill to attain noticeable improvement in real time. He has a very high level of situational awareness on the state of the person he is coaching and provide very timely and accurate feedback to micro-adjust and improve.

Mehul Makwana: Terrible customer service. Booked a court and it was cancelled on my behalf without any notice. I emailed, regarding a refund and have yet to hear back from them many months on. I also booked a set of group coaching sessions and was notified of.a cancellation to the first class, circa 25 minutes before it was scheduled to start. I am still awaiting a refund for that particular class. Great location for a tennis club, but spoiled by the terrible customer service.

Melisa B: Put a sign please for dog owners. The entrance from the school. It stinks! You should put your rival to that side😃

Jason Mantzouranis: Lots of tennis courts. Inexpensive to become a member to book ahead of time. They quickly respond and answer questions online. The courts are in good condition and it’s a beautiful location. The entrance is a little difficult to find because it’s only on the one side that’s away from the park entrance.

M CK: contacting them is close to impossible. Phone is never answered, no action taken on messages left on their answering machine, no response to emails, booking form in their website is full of bugs and does not work every time. Only way is to stop by to do bookings in person, but then they get upset as they do not want people to "congregate" around the pavilion!

Manal T: The front room is hired for my weekly training sessions. The staff are friendly and accommodating. There always people about using the courts and outdoor area is nice and comfortable.

Kim Saunders: Its clean and tidy. Very cold in winter due to doors being kept open but cool in the summer Wifi available.Comfortable seating area.. tea and coffee machine available (payment required)

Barbara Wauchope: Nice friendly people, had some great nights and days there 😁

Volkan A: Some amazing young coaches work here. Great club and great people.

Leo Martin: I found this place to be barely acceptable. The interiors are pretty grim. As you walk in the evening your are faced with a bar counter that resembles more a pub than a club. It smells of beer - The place has zero class. They don`t even make hot drinks at the counter. Your are left with a unusable overpriced machine which makes the worst tea stuff I have ever tried. As you walk through the venue you are overcome with all sorts of smells. From sweat, to dump, to bleach fumes. A feast of bad smells. The exteriors aren`t much better. The indoor courts are hard courts of a mediocre quality. The artificial clay seems nice. The path that leads from the club to the main road is not lit up at all. So for those of you who walk or have a bike, good luck! You`ll need a torch. Poor accessibility.

Neil Murphy: Hazelwood sports club has some of the best facilities for tennis, squash and Paddle tennis in London. The gym is very small though. The club is pretty cliquey though which can and has put off new members when joining.

Nazareno F.: Small sports club with well kempt facilities for the most part, host of the Edmonton Running Club and comfortable enough to hold gatherings. On the cons, getting there by car means that from the entrance to the parking lot you will go through massive holes and broken pavement. The gym is significantly small, I would have expected at least a pull up bar.

Navid Anayati: Great place to learn and play padel tennis. Nice people, very friendly and open. You see people and players of all ages, make new friends and enjoy padel tennis. Class for beginners at different levels, choose between group classes (up to 4 players) or one-to-one coach. The site has many information and you can book online.

David Claybyn: Lovely venue for a kids birthday party! Great soft play area with Cafe and a separate room with long table to host the kiddies meal time, all set up by the very friendly and helpfull staff. Would highly recommend it.
Response: Thank You David, we hope to see you again soon!!

claudia costin: Nice place but unfortunately the soft play is very dirty. Clearly not cleaned every day

NJ2dbz: Good place for a paddle also loads of five a side pitches. Good for friendly kick rounds also good five a side leagues

sergio scala: Beautiful football pitches 5 aside and 6 aside, lot of padel courts. With nice changing room and shower. You can also have food or let your kids play in the indoor playground.

Bertrand Weil: Organised a birthday there on a Sunday, and the staff was amazing and helpful (the Spanish guys especially great!). Don’t recognise the comments around staff although have had a more mixed experience attending events on Saturdays / during the week, but it doesn’t distract from the venue being excellent.

Yazeed Almusaybih: Nice place to have fun with Padel!!but try to avoid choosing Carlos as a coach he was a little bit rude!!
Response: Hi Yazeed, Thanks for your review. We are surprised to hear this as Coach Carlos has been a great coach here for 2 years with many repeat customers and great feedback.

Dom Green: Recent upgrade to the courts - always really well lit and open - I’m sure the crime rate is low…

Deuce Beach Tennis: what do users think?

Rebecca Thomas: I have been attending Deuce for over a year and it is always a welcoming environment for anyone who has prior experience in racket sports as well as newbies alike! Headed up by Coach Chris, he makes every session fun and enjoyable. He has a wealth of knowledge and draws upon his experience from playing on the ITF beach tennis tour to create the perfect mix of drills and match play to really help progress your shots as well as game tactics! Literally minutes away from Borough market and some fantastic local pubs (not forgetting a great view of The Shard!), there’s often a post session social making it a great activity for keeping fit as well as making new friends!

Mike Bloem: One of the few places to play regular Beach Tennis in England! I really appreciate Chris making the effort to teach and promote this great sport and regularly come from Cambridge for sessions. These are fun and varied with some conditioning, technical skills and game play. There’s always a good song on, comfortable seating, toilets and water refill stations on site. Great for all levels!

Larissa Menze: I started playing beach tennis in September ‘21 and have been hooked since. Chris is a great coach, very patient, creates a great atmosphere and makes sure his classes cater to all levels. It’s so great putting your feet in the sand bang in the middle of London with people from all over the world joining in.

Nazire Gunay: Chris is a very talented instructor and he approaches to all his students with patience, sets clear explanations to each step of playing beach tennis. The sessions take around 1.5 hours and Chris makes sure that everyone spends a fun time learning and playing beach tennis. The place is located around Borough Market with a view of the Shard. I would highly recommend Deuce Beach Tennis, it is a must to try in London.

Marina Thais: Such an amazing experience playing beach tennis at Deuce! Chris is a great coach, he is always happy to give you advices, sharing techniques to improve your movements. I really enjoy playing at Deuce, nice energy in the heart of London.

Claire Bénard: Beach tennis is so much fun! Chris is really good at adapting the sessions to include all levels and making the sport easy to learn for beginners and challenging for more experienced players. Such a great work out as well, I love it 🏖 🎾

Florence Stanley: As someone who had never played much sport—let alone beach tennis—until last year, the sessions with Chris at Deuce Beach Tennis are now one of the absolute highlights of my week. Super LGBTQ-inclusive and great fun!

Raj Persaud: This is a great beach tennis facility run by chris who is one of the top 2 beach tennis pros in the uk; he is also an excellent coach and will take u from beginner to competing in tournaments in no time. The facility is flood-lit and has spectacular views of the shard overlooking it and is very friendly and welcoming if u r completely new to beach tennis
Response: Thanks Raj! We are very grateful to be able to run our sessions here thanks to Bankside Open Spaces Trust who manage Marlborough Sports Garden. See you soon!

Antonia Charalambous: Deuce is bringing an awesome sport to a great location. Get fit, have fun, find your new favourite sport and people. Go to DEUCE. 100% recommend. All. Year. Round.
