Dan Blessing: The most obvious and important change was a drastic reduction in carbs, only eating carbs from veg. I learned so much about carbs, from the idea of carb cycling to the fact that the majority of other foods have carbs and what to avoid2. The gym itself is not crowded, with only people booked in for their hour there. What this means is constant lifting of weights and a real intense workout as all machines and benches are available. I learned from this that I was not breaking a sweat in my own gym sessions -not pushing myself hard enough, which leads to my next point3. My trainer was very, very knowledgeable about both the diet side of things plus on strength and technique. I would say that the trainers at UP are real experts on their subject. No waffle or BS. He was the perfect motivator, pushing me harder than I would push myself and pushing me at the right time. Everyone reacts differently but luckily for me, this was exactly what I wanted.Results

However, these four weeks have proven to be so beneficial to me in kickstarting my fitness journey! The trainers are so good at building gradual confidence and working with you so closely that you feel as if you’re getting a one on one session in a group setting. Along with the workouts, I am getting advice on nutrition, calorie deficit tips, and overall health advice from my assigned PT, Laura, who is absolutely amazing!
