LIANNE ROLLS: I have trained on and off in gyms for many years, however I had reached a low and couldn't bare the thought of motivating myself to get back into exercising. After hearing about Ben through a friend, who had seen amazing results, I decided to give it ago.Ben is an enthusiastic and extremely motivational personal trainer, who cares about the individual goals of each client. I have enjoyed every session so much so I now also attend his bootcamp classes which really push me to my limits.I am grateful Ben was recommended to me as I haven't looked back since. Dingle Meeting: What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger...After 4 kids and lots of neglect I decided it was time to get fitter, I felt barrel shaped. My mid-drift was adrift.I contacted Tom with the simplest of missions, to exercise my core to compliment my walking and cycling.If I lost weight later that might be a bonus but for now to focus on my core.It was and is a huge challenge, Tom remains encouraging and humourous in the face of my grunts and moans.Taking my mission seriously I have exercised in some shape or form, 6 days out of 7. Two sessions with Tom and the other 4 on my own, attempting previous exercises.My dedication and Tom’s direction have had a massive impact. Beth Hodson: since week 14 of my second pregnancy and I am now about ready to pop. I have loved each session; they have been varied and fun. I feel fit and strong, ready to tackle labour and the physical nature to early days with a newborn. The sessions have enabled me to maintain and build on my level of fitness around being a mum to an energetic toddler and my bump growing ever bigger. The sessions have got the endorphins flowing and I have finished each session looking forward to the next one. It is a small private gym conveniently close to the Barbican and the City and specialises in helping the over 50s improve their mobility, health and lifestyle.I have avoided going to the gym for many years but in particular found that in the past few months my mobility has got significantly worse including tripping up on the pavement. Whilst I was fearful of the gym experience, in actual fact it has proved to be worthwhile and not so terrifying after all. Sal is a brilliant personal trainer who provides an individually tailored personal plan, carefully monitors progress and on the one hand encourages you to go the extra mile but at the same time is cautious not to overdo things. In a few short weeks I have been able to carry out basic exercises and basic movements that were lost to me for some months and I feel that I can now progress further with the sort of support that Sal.provides. I am grateful to Sal for all he has done and am already feeling the benefits after a few short weeks.

Dan Blessing: The most obvious and important change was a drastic reduction in carbs, only eating carbs from veg. I learned so much about carbs, from the idea of carb cycling to the fact that the majority of other foods have carbs and what to avoid2. The gym itself is not crowded, with only people booked in for their hour there. What this means is constant lifting of weights and a real intense workout as all machines and benches are available. I learned from this that I was not breaking a sweat in my own gym sessions -not pushing myself hard enough, which leads to my next point3.
