Lyceum Theatre: what do users think?

Mateusz Prager: Great lion king show

Rune Willaert: Wow, beautiful music. The price tag may be there but what a great musical. The vocals were top notch and so was the piece itself. It fills up quickly so you have to be quick. But if I could recommend one thing you should definitely do in London, it would be this.

Tachyon Jayanth: , the show was cut short and we did not get to watch it through

Rose Dongois: with a short intermission in the middle. I was in the Royal Circle place G20.

Gilles Maggio: We had a marvellous moment at the lyceum theatre. We attended Disney’s The Lion King and booked seats 28-29 on row A in Grand Circle. There is a barrier in front the seats but my gf is 1m59 and we had no issue to perfectly see the stage. The show was just mesmerising, the theatre is gorgeous, you absolutely need to go there if you are in London.

איתן אלוני: The set, the costumes are amazing, make the musical, everything else is mediocre

אירית ברשטיין: An impressive place. The show is excellent. the setting The costumes in general is wow. Each costume is special, terribly complex, impressive. Live music, live singing, no playback. The dances,... in short, a very impressive show.

Bartek Rychcik: The Lion King is an absolute must-have in London

Daniel: Spectacular show. The music is amazing and the stage show and the costumes will blow your mind. It is quite tailored to families with younger children, but definitely worth a visit.

Eric White: ...excellent production

Joanne Woodhouse: Lion King was amazing, what an experience

Debbie Dyer: Amazing beautiful theatre. Food and drinks very expensive but to be expected. Very nice polite staff. The Lion King is amazing.

גוליאנה שתיוי: Highly recommended phenomenal performance music by musicians fancy costumes ...must see

Dotpac: Brilliant performance. Quite stunning and very impressed. We'll done.

tali bresler: Amazing performance! A musical full of beautiful scenery and costumes. Great actors. very impressive!

11阿比德修行: Watched the loin king it was very expensive but spectacular

Apollo Victoria Theatre: what do users think?

Lorenzo Spaccarelli: Great theater.

Rachel Shaw: Spectacular performance.Definitely worth going to see.

Warren Sufrin: We had great seats in the Dress Circle. What mosted impressed me was the online ordering on food and drink, delivered to your seat. It was fast and convenient.

Stephen Pickett: Great theatre experience, Wicked was amazing! Facilities generally pretty good, they have bars and places to buy snacks but everything is very highly priced; my girlfriend got talked up to buying VIP access when getting a drink - was £30 each for 2 drinks, a tiny bowl of crisps and tiny ice cream tub, plus then £20 for her son for the same snacks and 2 drinks as we complained about the price. Staff were generally friendly and helpful.

Chow Hon Keong: This theatre is situated in Central London. The theatre is popular and it's location is great. Public access to the theatre is good and simple. The setup of the theatre is good. The structure of the theatre gives good vision and auditory effects to the patrons. The present performance is fantastic. The performers acted and sang fantastically. Highly recommended to watch this performance.Costumes and together with the lighting and sound effects make the performance great.Seatings are comfortable.Drinks are available in the theatre.Public washrooms are available within the theatre.

Ian Barrett: Went to see Wicked at the Apollo on Saturday 22nd July 2023. Thoroughly loved the show…. Highly recommend it. Unfortunately the people sat in front of us kept talking throughout the first half. During the intermission, we spoke to the theatre staff. They apologised and were able to find our group of 3 some different seats a lot closer to the stage for the 2nd half. They also had a word with the people that were talking, so hopefully the other people around them wouldn’t be disturbed any further too. Good work team! You helped ensure that an annoyance was put right, and made it up to us!

M M: The audience was too loud during the performance...

Lisa Drury: Amazing show Wicked! The venue is really spacious and even in row Z in stalls the view was fantastic

Carl Kenyon: Great venue

Lois Middleditch: Fabulous

Lorraine Mccallum: Wicked you were amazing

Phil Wheeler: Second visit to the Apollo Theatre to see Wicked. Excellent show in a great theatre. Bars within easy access of seats plus seat pre ordering available for the interval. Really easy to reach as just down the road from Victoria Station and Tube, plus the bus station.

Mubashira Khan: Fabulous performance of The Wicked!!Had a splendid time at the theatre with family. The staff were friendly and courteous. The cast of Wicked was spectacular, and we all loved our experience at the theatre. 🤩🤩🤩

Judith Ashcroft: Went to see Hamilton and enjoyed the whole experience

Anna Durbanova: Watched the Wicked for the first time! Love it and the theater itself is really nice

Isabella Calmiano: Visited at the weekend to see Wicked. Show itself was absolutely incredible!Theatre is beautiful inside, very well maintained. The bar is a little small with minimal seating and the toilet cubicles are a bit cramped. The main seats were fairly comfortable, well marked and easy to find.

v “nwno” c: Nice theatre

Toyosi oyediji: Watched Tina Turner the musical here. Good time!

C R: Great theatre, most seats are good view. Multiple bars and toilet facilities with no queues. BTW I'm no Tina Turner fan but they were gifted tickets and this is one of the best shows I have seen in a long time. The cast were fantastic and the lead performer gave an amazing performance.

Khalid Assime: Beautiful little theater. I took large circle, the legroom is too small for tall people. There are no armrests but that's not too bad.

Jason Leslie: Smaller theater but surprising legroom. Easily got in, and the attendant assisted us to find our seats.

Soizic Lehurt: Very good experience an amazing show

Rebecca Harrington: Watched Tina the musical tonight. Wow wow wow. Incredible performances. We laughed we cried, we danced we sang.A Incredible musical telling the story of a Incredible woman. Staff at the theater were great. Very well organised. Thank you for a great evening.

Nick Joy: Best night out ever!!! Tina!

Johnny Starks: Beautiful!! Must see

kevin jess: Tina a great show and beautiful theatre.

A B: Tina Turner show is the best

Dialektikus Plus: Venturing to the Aldwych Theatre in London to catch a world-class musical was an unforgettable experience. The performance we witnessed was captivating, with singers and actors delivering top-notch renditions that left us spellbound. Although the theatre shows signs of its age, its unique vertical and steep seating arrangement ensures an excellent view of the stage from above. Be mindful, the halls are quite narrow, and only card payments are accepted for snack purchases during intermissions. Its central location in London adds to its charm, making it a must-visit for theatre enthusiasts.

Yve Paige: Brilliant show

Dotpac: Showstoppers. Quite OK.

Anna Uskova: Beautiful theater, steep stairs in the hall

nathalie roux: Great time. Very colored. Young artists with sublime voices. A very comfortable theater. Lovely staff.

Pan Pan Cheng: Experience the magic of Matilda at the Cambridge Theatre, where every moment is a testament to spectacular storytelling and unparalleled talent. From the enchanting performances to the infectious energy that fills the air, this musical promises an unforgettable journey. At the heart of the production is the remarkable main girl actor portraying Matilda, whose portrayal is nothing short of mesmerizing. Hoopla Impro: what do users think?

Tanival: , particularly the support and camaraderie; scene / character work. We created a whatsapp group from the first day and this brought us gradually closer, it was a really special group. A lot of us have signed up for the next stage in September. I'm excited to see what the new course will bring and also to experience a different teacher. I have already recommended Hoopla and I think it is great! Although the speed of email replies could definitely improve, the customer service and overall ethos is amazing and exemplary.

Adam: I have worked my way through a lot of the courses with Hoopla, and found each one an engaging and supportive experience that welcomes all in. The teachers are knowledgeable and generous, helping guide you through the course to give you the confidence as a group to deliver a show. I have met wonderful people through the courses and shows, and I enjoy the regular performing opportunities Hoopla has to offer. Highly recommended!

Henry McPherson: Mandeep was an amazing teacher. Such a lovely group of people. I particularly liked Mandeeps specific feedback points, showed his great ability to coach and be aware of our individual strengths and weaknesses. Can't wait for Level 3!

Andrew Hall: I've lived in London for 6 years and not until this course have I found a much-craved sense of community. I loved the positive, supportive energy that Nick fostered in the sessions, and I'm very much looking forward to Level 2!

Lucy Cunningham: I thought James was great - really liked that he gave us the space to explore different themes. He was very supportive and gave useful detailed feedback

Ralph Jones: Hoopla is an absolutely vital, joyous part of the London comedy scene. On and off I have been performing shows there since 2015. The staff are generous, helpful and welcoming, and performing there now feels like coming home. It is unquestionably the number one home of London improv. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Daniel Chica Prevatt-goldstein: I love everything about Hoopla. Their shows have a great atmosphere and top quality acts. Their community is friendly and welcoming. Their classes are fun, friendly, their teachers are great and they offer such a wide range of different courses. The home of improv in London!

G C: Hoopla classes are so much fun with great teachers in a supportive environmentwhere the emphasis is on fun and positivity. The shows that they run are a great opportunityto further build your skills and confidence and see some damn funny people too! Look, just sign up to a course and have a great time!

Lexi: Hoopla is home to many popular improv groups and comedians on the circuit. As there is so much variety, you’re bound to find something you’ll enjoy watching. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a pint and catch a show.As for its courses - during most of the pandemic, I was shielding. As a result, I began to feel quite isolated - I was living on my own at the time and didn’t have much human contact. Through Hoopla, I was able to reconnect and make a ton of new friends/connections. I signed up for one course, then another and so on - it became addictive! Before Hoopla, I already had some improv experience from my time at Uni, but it had been a while since I graduated. With the help of their teachers, I was able to jump back into it without issue as the environment was so friendly and supportive. Whether you’re jumping back in, or are new to the craft, Hoopla is a solid starting point. There are a ton of performing opportunities too. You can audition to be on a house team where you’ll get a ton of coaching, or grab some stage experience at a pre-party where new groups can sign up to perform. Most of the courses also come with shows!

Lisa Greenwood: The most loving space in UK improv. Inclusive, diverse, joyful comedy in all forms - stand up, improv, musical improv. Being in that audience feels like you're all at one hilarious party - CHECK IT OUT!

Anisha Pucadyil: Hoopla has something for everyone, it has a host of classes, open jams and a thriving community with many ongoing classes. Any day of the week , you will find rib tickling humour and amazing technique of improv on display. Check out that encyclopaedia of improv gyaan, very happy to be part of the hoopla community

Addy Raja: Hoopla is an amazing community and so much more than just being funny on stage. One of the best things about being in London!

Michaela Mackenzie: I LOVE HOOPLA!! Have done a fair few classes with them now and all have been great!! The teachers are wonderful, it's a lovely lil community and there are tonnes of opportunities to go further with improv through Hoopla if you want to from improv jams to house teams! I came in knowing nothing about improv and absolutely terrified and was welcomed with open arms, 'yes and's and a bunch of fun! The shows are great too! I go to them as frequently as I possibly can!! Always SO FUN! And absolutely hilarious! A great night out! HIGHLY recommend!!

Maria P: Best place for improv in London

Jonny Briers: Best place in London to see and perform improv comedy, full stop. Friday and Saturday nights are fun for people who have never seen improv and improv nerds alike, but there's good stuff on almost every night of the week. Their classes are also fantastic and a great way to step out of your comfort zone in a very welcoming environment.

Charlie Jackson: Hoopla is one of the most fun and supportive places to watch and do improv comedy. There's so many shows and courses you're spoilt for choice.

Lisa Ronaghan: Always have a great night out at Hoopla! If you’re looking to try improv, sketch or standup, they have amazing courses and also run corporate training. Big fan!

Jennifer Longden: I've been training with Hoopla since 2017 and to be honest, it's been life changing. Right from the start I've been made to feel accepted into a big community of funny and supportive people, who genuinely just want the best for everyone. Importantly, Hoopla are brilliant at nurturing people and making them feel part of one big team. It's truly inclusive and I take a lot of lessons from the field of impro and the many teachers at Hoopla, into my professional career.

Paul Creasy: Amazing improv school. Great, varied classes and a lot of performing opportunities for newer and more experienced improvisers. It already felt like home soon after moving to London.

Philippa Palmer: Hoopla is my tribe. The classes are excellent. The shows are brilliant. The opportunities, whether for performing or friendship making, are endless. Do a course with Hoopla and your social life will be transformed. I dare you to take a punt. You’ll be so pleased you did!

Rahma Al-Awad: I’ve really enjoyed my 8 weeks beginners improv course. I was so nervous before my first class, but I’m so glad I had signed up. Chris is an excellent teacher. I’ve had so much fun and laughter - it was the highlight of my summer!

Viktor Gsteiger: What a blast! My first time at a London impro show and all three groups were great with each surpassing the previous. Definitely worth a visit!

Melisa Tehrani: Hands down, the best improv classes in London. Amazing teachers and a fun, friendly atmosphere that put me at ease straight away. My confidence and passion grew with every class as I met fellow improvisers and fearlessly practiced new skills and games week after week. The final showcase was absolutely exhilarating and I couldn’t wait to come back for the next level. Above all, I really love and appreciate Hoopla's efforts to support POC and improvisers from lower income households. As a proud member of both these groups, I felt love, eagerness and a space waiting for me on the Hoopla stage in a way I have never felt before. It is a truly unique feeling of warmth and acceptance that has been the beating heart of my improv journey. I wish I could tell my younger self that one day she would be a part of the representation she so desperately dreamed of seeing on a comedy stage. She probably wouldn't believe me, but no doubt she would be as wonderfully overwhelmed as I was the first time I stepped into Hoopla. An incredible and beautiful experience all round, I can't recommend it enough!

Massimo Comuzzi: Amazing funa nd increadible personal growth

Mark P: Great burgers, beer and IMPROV !!!! 😊

Joe Martin: It was extremely welcoming and collegiate from the very beginning. I had immediate confidence in Conor Jatter's expertise in both improv and teaching from the first session. I felt I made significant progress over the course of the 8 weeks. The only issue I now have is that I go around frequently telling acquaintances that they need to try improv!

Reuben Wachs: Absolutely love training with Hoopla! The classes are super fun and the teachers I've had have all been professional, welcoming and insightful. The final shows really make the experience worth it and leaves you feeling incredibly proud of what you achieved on the course. Highly recommend!

Nick Farnan: A great training experience. The trainers made the course impactful and effective. I've left with great skills and would look to do more training with Hoopla as I loved it.

Mélanie Merlet: improv with Hoopa for almost 3 years, and the community spirit, their approach to teaching improv, the passion and enthusiasm that comes from the entire teaching team and staff have really brought something incredible to my life, and I encourage EVERYONE

Alvaro Garcia: Did the Speaker Club course with Max Dickins. It was really good. It gave me lots of tools to improve my communication skills, which we kept practicing through the duration of the course while receiving live feedback. Its helped me to step up my game when speaking in public. Highly recommend to anyone looking to communicate in a more impactful way

Phoenix Theatre: what do users think?

sandra carter: Loved the show

David Pryszlak: good theatre excellent views

Daniel Gutteridge: Went to the phoenix theatre for Spitting image. Close to charing Cross and Tottenham Court Rd,surrounded by bars and restaurants.Smaller theatre but very nice. All staff I encountered were very friendly door staff to concessions to the supervisor. Definitely a well run theatre.

Klaus Schierenbeck: Amazing!

clayton mccranor: Spitting Image - Idiots Assemble. Course and crude. Exactly what you’d expect. Literally a laugh a minute. The puppeteers are magnificent really bringing the show alive. Fantastic.

christie b: great spitting image audience laughing all the time. I was next row to back and could still see and hear everything..v funny show going again to catch more songs etc. got 25 £ ticket London theatre week good value . think it helps if you are a Brit and know our celebs politicians and royalty. loved it when Maggie and queen were resurrected to sort out Boris and Donald then queen ran through audience giving everyone hi 5vs..technically and musically v good going to see it twice more ... strongly recommended..loved it. surprised not running for longer but full price dear but you can get discounts .

Ling Chén: Watched Spitting image, very good! Clean theatre with comfortable seatings

Darryl Heaton: Really fantastic place to visit to catch a west end show, this time it was Spitting Image live. Nice to be able to enjoy a drink or two during the performance. Very enjoyable.

Danae Bird: Friendly staff. Reasonable leg room. Very clean ladies loos! Current show "Spitting image" very funny.

Zo: Went to see spitting image and it was so funny. Not for the fant hearted if you can't take a joke. Nice little theatre

Sarah H: I visited the Phoenix Theatre to watch Spitting Image, which was a fantastically funny show.Phoenix is a beautiful, small, and intimate theatre. It has a bar and toilet facilities. Inside the main theatre is beautifully decorated. There are a few stairs to gain access to the bar, so it is not very easily accessible for wheelchair users. I did not see any lifts, but there may be some that I may not have noticed. It is close to main transport links and easy to get to. It is well worth a visit for a show.

Peter Dick: Saw Spitting Image: The Musical. Very funny show.Theatre itself is well appointed and all the staff were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. Most unusually, there were more ladies toilets than gents so it was the boys queueing rather than the girls!Bar area quite small down at the stalls and could do with a better selection of beer but got a drink very quickly. You can also order from your seat.

Paul Pearson: Excellent old theatre. The staff are helpful, the theatre is cozy and clean. You can buy drinks and popcorn from the counter. The best views are from the main stage. Closer to the aisle is the best. Some shows have actors walking down the aisle, which makes the show more engaging. My only issue was the toilet, which had a huge queue. It's tiny for the number of people attending the show. Last minute tickets for certain shows can be bought easily for half the price, but it's a lucky dip. Best to book in advance to avoid surprises.

Paul Wingfield (PWingers): Spitting Image was a hoot. There's something to amuse and upset everyone, but it's definitely not for kids.Topical alterations will surely make this a returning favourite for many people. It certainly tickled me. I loved it.

National Theatre: what do users think?

Sandra: I have been many times to a variety of performances at National Theatre. It is very well laid out and easy to get around. The food and drinks are a reasonable price. The seats in the theatre are very comfortable and there's plenty of leg room.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

Ashley Debarge: Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes

Sarahs Cottage: Saw Dear England. Brilliant play. Brilliant venue!

Chris Grayling: We went up to see the matinee performance of Dear England. The play was fantastic and I would thoroughly recommend anyone to go and see it.There was a rail strike on so we drove up, booking a parking spot at the NT for £17. Even after paying the congestion charge it was cheaper than going by train. The reason for only four stars - I thought the cafe was lack-lustre. But that's it - a great day out.

Dave Sambrook: National treasure, great theatre, Brutalist architecture. What's not to like.

David Learner: It's more than just a theatre: it's an experience. The present building dates back to 1976 and the foyer sports the foundation stone of the original 1951 version, built for the Festival of Britain. Inevitably there's more theatre than you can shake a bladder at but despite its brutalist architecture it's a comfortable and comforting place that takes its art seriously. Meet for a drink, go posh at the Lasdun restaurant, enjoy a snack or just relax with a coffee and watch the Thames wend its way to the sea. There's nothing to disappoint and everything to enjoy.

Harry: Always enjoy our visit to the National. The seats are comfortable, and the plays are generally very good.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

Sid Rodrigues: Went to the Grenfell Tower performance. Heartbreaking and amazing in the same proportions. Go see it.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

Katie Horsfield: Amazing theatre on the southbank.

Mike Smith: What a great place. Fantastic play I knew there was a real drama in the Southgate story immediately after the Euro 2020 penalties and James Graham has done the story proud

Tom Kuhr: The Olivier theatre is a great circular stage, small enough to feel intimate but actually quite large. Nice atmosphere and great sound. Saw Dear England here and although I usually don’t appreciate theater much this was a really fantastic performance.

Jade Nicole: and I recommend the car park too as an accessibility-friendly way of accessing the south bank. We’ll continue to come and enjoy our days out here.
