Wiltons Restaurant: what do users think?

Stanley Tsang: I am impressed how they have set up the restaurant to be slightly formal, yet warm and cosy at the same time. It was busy there this evening and felt the noise level was very well managed.Great atmosphere, and the staff is great. Interactive, engaging and have a wonderful sense of humour as well.Great quality food and really lovely portion size as well. I left without feeling overly stuffed or too full after a 3 course meal.Wonderful choice of wine, appetizers, main from meat, veg to seafood. A wonderful range of desserts too.

Diana Ziedina: Finally we made a reservation and went there! Truly classic and sophisticated British food! Genuinely in love with all of the dishes we had! Service was impeccable and I cant wait to return before you close down for summer holidays.Much love,Diana

Shakira: Yummy

Alex Be: Incredible dining experience. Almost every dish hit exactly how it was supposed to.The bread and butter is always a good indicator for the rest of the meal and it was on point. The lobster bisque and crab with avocado were sublime. The cheese souffle is truly genius, with a rich depth of flavour that carries from the first bite to the last. The steak was good quality beef, although the lack of attempt at searing did not do the beef justice.Desserts were reasonable. The summer pudding was overloaded on the tart side, and the chocolate fondant was rich and decadent. The two paired together fared nicely although this is probably unintended. The two desserts separately were a bit unbalanced. I would have loved to try the bread and butter pudding.Service was attentive and unintrusive if a little stiff, but it is a bit more of a stiff fine dining type of restaurant so this is somewhat expected. All in all a top tier dining experience. I would love to return when I am next in town as it is a restaurant for those who are truly interested in eating food that is properly tasty and well executed. This is not a place for instagram but for gourmands.

Leyna Bernstein: to dessert, everything was delicious. I had lobster bisque that was full of lobster flavor and not too rich, my husband had oysters and then gazpacho. Dover sole for me with spinach, cooked to perfection and a very generous fillet. If you are looking for old school style with outstanding ingredients cooked well, you won’t be disappointed.

Lauren Knowles: One of the top 10 dinners of my life. Great old school French style atmosphere and service. Reminds me of La Grenouille in New York. Very fresh seafood. The most tender and delicious Dover sole I’ve had. It had a nice thin crispy layer on top. I love langoustine and they are hard to find in the US so I was thrilled when they had them as an appetizer and served with homemade mayo. I wanted to eat here again immediately.

Us Ni: Well done by the staff, assisted our requirements at the highest levels possible of service, amazing to have a dedicated member of the staff to our table.Delicious food, fantastic desserts and unbelievable Taste of wine under close attention from sommelier and his recommendationsVegetarian options: Only inform waiter aboutDietary restrictions: Just inform waiter about…

Waleed Khalid: Dressed crab, flaky and sweet, comes with a fan of ripe green avocado. Delicately flavoured Lincolnshire eel, rosy pink around the edge and fading to pale cream within, might be at the Silk Cut end of the smokiness spectrum but the accompanying horseradish will blow your head off. Dover sole is sautéed to a platonic ideal of golden brown and the butter melted to the limpid yellow of young Sauternes.

Erin Ogden Green: .A nigglilng complaint: in the men's toilet there are charmingly quirky pictures of Mr. Wilton the langoustine enjoying various sports like horse racing and rowing. In the women's toilet there are botanical lithographs of lettuces. Come on, people. It's 2024—women like dapper langoustines too!

Andrei Kovalenko: For me - it is the best seafood in London. But the main thing is atmosphere. It’s very old fashioned. Sit down, relax, take Chevalier-Montrachet Domaine Leflaive and in 10 minutes you feel like your Grand Pa still sits in the House of Lords. My recommendations: for Gentlemen- to be in suit, for Ladies- to be rich. In this case it is your place and you will enjoy!

Michael Lopez: Top shelf dining. Delicious meal and extensive and fabulous wine list. Definitely going back. Had the sea bass with steamed vegetables and it was quite likely the best sea bass I have ever had. And I know seafood, especially given my 30+ years enjoying sea bass, salmon and trout. And snapper. And so much more! The service was top notch. I am coming back!

a. vigil25: Impeccable quality service and food.Wiltons is a London classic since 1742, an expensive place but definitely worth it.For men, it is a requirement that they attend with closed shoes, pants and long sleeves, for women, although no dress code is specified, it is preferable to be well dressed. From the exquisite and super fresh Oysters, to the fish and dessert, all delicious and part of a great impeccable experience.

Neil Gilkes: You’ve got to try the food at the Ivy you won’t be disappointed the atmosphere and the people and the staff are amazing. I definitely would recommend booking ahead. We was going to the Albert Hall which was just around the corner and I would definitely take a look at the amazing range of cocktails.Kid-friendliness: It’s definitely got the right sort of atmosphere to take children and your family

Sabine: Great restaurant with a great view. The meal was delicious and thanks again to Mohammed for the excellent service! We will come back with pleasure

Travelling Doc: Located not far from strand and Covent Garden. The oldest restaurant in London from 1797.Beautiful interior,Rustic, steep in history.Nice tables.Good size menu with some interesting items. Had the oeuf de gelee which was something I haven’t come across previously.Very interesting yet nice dish of jelly broth with a boiled egg with celeriac salad. Shrimp starter was too heavy, cream and butter with nutmeg. The mains for venison was good- tad bit overdone as asked for rare and came medium rare.Chips was excellent, the broccoli with tapanata was good. Dish was on the higher range. The lemon sole- cooked well but sauce was too heavy and tasteless.Desert of pistachio cake was slight dry. The rhubarb crumble was good. Nice custard to accompany.Service was good.

John Deacon: I've been using this restaurant since the mid 1970s and I've yet to be disappointed. The ambiance is incomparable and genuine and the food is unashamedly of the comfort variety.Occasionally, the service can be a little slow when very busy, but even this does not detract from a very special dining experience.

Archipelago: what do users think?

Kandy Rowan: We went for the scraps menu, where the kitchen sets the menu based on what ingredients they want to use up.We were told the menu and it sounded good, and when the dishes arrived they didn't disappoint. We even had a half bottle of wine left over from a wine tasting they had done earlier that day.Friendly, knowledgeable service too.

Geoffrey Berg: ! I was a bit daunted seeing Zebra, Crocodile and Kangaroo on the menu, and the interior looks a bit like your hippy friend Moonsong's apartment from the 90s, but the food was delicious and the service was great and I found myself wishing I had been more adventurous in my choices. Oh well, there's always next time, and I would come back, especially since with 50% off on The Fork, it was shockingly good value.

Kunal Shitap: Recommended dishes White Chocolate Truffle

Mudassir Ali Khan Rajput: This is without doubt one of my very favourite restaurants in London. The food is exceptional and the service always friendly yet professional. Very good value as well considering the depth of the cookery and quality of ingredients used. Would highly recommend!! 🙌 …

Torres: Great choice. Thank you!

Manuel Valisena: The food and the staff are amazing!

Spencer Osborne: Really quirky interior instantly suggests that you may be in for a slightly out of the ordinary experience. Luckily it's a thrilling one.Food was delicious - so many different and interesting menu items that I could have easily ordered twice as much as did. Luckily everything I had was delightful. Special consideration goes to the crocodile wraps which were so flavourful and tender that I really didn't want each bite to end. Will definitely return - and with The Fork deal it's very good value.

David Richardson: Certainly eclectic

Autymn Gelette: Just a wonderful experience from start to finish. Each course was so well executed and thought out. The details were perfect. The service was above and beyond and the cocktails were fabulous. Really, really great time here! This was great for a vegetarian as the vegetarian tasting menu was perfect.Vegetarian options: Full vegetarian menu was offered. Some were even very close to the regular menu with small modifications, which I appreciated!

Vivian Pan: Always a pleasure to be back and be taken great care by the team! The space is cosy, the service is excellent, and the food is hands down one of the most unique yet familiar I’ve experienced. It may be a little off the beaten path to head over the Shoreditch, but it is well worth the effort. A big shoutout to chef Rhys and his team for executing a smashing degustation menu, Keith for the wine pairing and extensive knowledge, and Paolo and his colleagues for a seamless and joyful service!

Matthew Hegarty: . The meticulous detail of both presentation and flavours with the courses is immaculate, the wine pairings perfect and it’s fantastic meeting Australian Head Chef compatriot Reece

Marica Pensjö: En fantastisk mat+dryck upplevelse!

Minnie Chu: A memorable dinner! Definitely a must for a visit!Tried the “Tea Pairing” and it’s definitely the best one I’ve ever had❤️

John Morris: Recommended dishes Wine Pairing

Adi Iyer: . The food was presented very well but the flavours were not up to the mark for a 2 michelin star on a few courses in comparison to other restaurants of a similar caliber.Vegetarian options: The options exist but are probably not what they are famous for.

Sally Tiernan: An amazing experience! The food was incredible and the staff were so attentive and knowledgeable. They made us feel very special.Dietary restrictions: My husband is a pescatarian and they adapted his menu with some delicious alternatives

Guanny G: Had an enjoyable evening at the bar counter for single diner. It's great that the bartender is quite engaging; and I do appreciate that the servers spend a bit of time to slowly explain the dishes. The 2 wines recommended by the sommelier were wonderful; and the food portion is just right.Overall feeling of the place is positive.

Veronica Derevyanko: The food was just delicious and the service was very nice and kind of on your level compared to other Michelins star restaurants. It’s not a snobbish environment that you’re used to see in these types of restaurants. We went for the big tasting menu and took a bottle of Chablis.*The only note I would like to point out and a small detail I didn’t really “like” was the upselling. So you get a menu and then few dishes have additional charge to add truffles or caviar. Honestly when you get a tasting menu this isn’t something that should be there. And plus it’s awkward when you’re on a date to say okay I want this and that but not the latter. This is the only thing I’m pointing out because other than that it’s flawless.Dietary restrictions: They ask in advance if you have any and align the dinner for you

A C: Very unusual place! Cool decor and food was so much better than we expected. Located right in soho near all the west end theatres. Very very good price. Starters are very good, main course was very good portion and taste nice.Friendly staffs and good Thursday- Saturday show. Good atmosphere!

Stuart Parker: A very interesting and unique place to dine.It is an interesting place to eat but it does suffer that it gets very warm in the upper seats in the summer. The food was good but not spectacular, but I would recommend it if you are looking for something a bit more entertaining for dinner.Parking: There is none

S Shall: I have been meaning to eat here since before Covid began. Finally my daughter & I arrived last week. The owner was very welcoming, just like visiting my Aunty, explaining all her dishes on offer. We decided on oxtail stew, chicken curry, pumpkin, okra, spinich rice and Dahl puri. I have to say we were not disappointed and left clean plates. It was so nice to taste some authentic Guyanese cuisine in London and look forward to visiting again to sample something else on the menu very soon. Just keep doing what you are doing.

Circus: what do users think?

Nick Ghateh: We had a large group gathering on Saturday night at circus restaurant, located in Covent garden with easy excess by underground. Obviously, the place isn’t for a person with “ a great palate “ but more for a great night with food and entertainment . The interior is nice and dynamic prepared for performance , music and food, which is Asian fusion . Staff are very attentive and helpful. Space are limited . We were around 16 old friends to celebrate birthday 🎂 . The concept was good , we enjoyed ourselves with the acts . Our table was much smaller than expected and we could literally not have enough space to enjoy our food and drinks . We ordered set menus . Food was better than expected but could be improve a lot with a bit more attention and fresh ingredients rather ready made, such as gyoza ! Never seen edamame was served in Ice but a new experience . On all acceptable for average palate . Staff were amazing as well manager .I strongly recommend Circus , if you’re not too fussy about food and can enjoy the ambiance , acts and music . A Gold star to DJ as he was fantastic.I will definitely go back for a memorable night but not recommend to anyone who is expecting "mise en place" ! Please follow me on Instagram! You can find me at @doctorfoodielondon

Niraj Kanabar: Rene was great throughout the night. He came over to our table a number of times to top-up our drinks and treated us very well. The atmosphere is classy and elegant, all the staff have a smile on their face. The food is great - a little pricey - with a dedicated vegan menu. Highly recommend.

Bruna Zugliani: Karol was great, very friendly and super helpful! Great entertainment and the miso salmon was delightful!Dietary restrictions: Can accompany vegan.

My particular favourites were the meat fruit and the flesh and rice, and if you want a real show stopping finale to your meal, get the nitrogen ice cream, such theatre and lots of ooo's from the surrounding tables! Can't wait to come back.

Adam Stanton: added to the experience. Our favourites were the Meat Fruit and Tipsy Cake but the salmon starter was beautiful also. Nice touch with heart shaped jammy dodgers for valentines also.

Mr M: Challenge Food - Steak TartareChallengeMark 1 - 5 x score of 5Embarking on a culinary journey at Bob Bob Ricard in the heart of Soho, London, the Steak Tartare was the star of the show and an experience that deserves to be shouted from the rooftops. With a perfect score, this traditional dish, amidst a menu renowned for beef wellington and dumplings, proved to be an absolute triumph. As I indulged in two starters, the Steak Tartare stood out with its impeccable texture, ideal moisture content, and a yolk taste that left me bewildered in the best possible way. A culinary masterpiece, this dish was a well-balanced, perfectly spiced delight that resonated not only with my palate but equally with my partner in crime.5 x 5 = 25ServiceMark 1 - 5 x score of 4Moving on to the impeccable service, which garnered an equally impressive score, it commenced from the moment we stepped through the impressive entrance. The staff, impeccably dressed, exuded an alert and engaging demeanor, immediately instilling a sense of being in safe hands. The service throughout the evening maintained a perfect cadence, although, personally, I would have appreciated a slightly slower pace for more moments of repose and wine enjoyment. Despite this, the well-oiled machine of service ensured a flawless dining experience, with attentive yet unobtrusive care.4.5 x 4 = 18Non Challenge FoodMark 1 - 5 x Score of 3Delving into the non-challenge food, the culinary prowess continued with an impressive score. The menu, inspired by French cuisine with a twist of tradition, offered a thoughtful and diverse array of options. From small plate tartare to starters, mains, sides, and desserts, each dish was a carefully crafted masterpiece, perfectly sized and bursting with flavors. The VSOP Prawn Cocktail, with its delightfully presented kick, set the tone for an exquisite culinary journey. The Chicken Kyiv, accompanied by Truffled French Fries, stole the spotlight with its impeccable presentation and full-bodied appreciation. The choice of a 2014 vintage Chateau La Tour de By complemented the mixed and varied fare, while the traditional sticky toffee pudding and the delightful Chocolate Caviar concluded the meal on a sweet note, leaving taste buds dancing with joy.5 x 3 = 15VenueMark 1- 5 x score of 2As we explored the venue nestled in Soho’s, Upper James Street, the Art Deco charm enveloped us, earning, yes, FULL MARKS AGAIN. From the entrance to the lower floor's giant size backgammon board and the modern feel, to the open, teal-furnished, and traditionally inspired upper floor, the entire restaurant was a meticulously designed haven. Signature areas with modern twists added theatrical charm, creating a welcoming ambiance that elevated the overall dining experience. Not often a tag I would give restaurants, however this would suit any occasion, from intimate meetings to group gatherings. Excellent work.5 x 2 = 10PresentationMark 1 - 5 x score of 1Presentation, a vital aspect of any dining experience, earned a well-deserved 4 out of 4. Faultless tableware, sophisticated plates, embroidered napkins, and perfectly positioned champagne buckets were complemented by impeccable lighting. From the moment of stepping in to the departure, every detail harmoniously contributed to the visual feast, enhancing the overall aesthetic and leaving a lasting impression. Only losing out slightly on the paper table mats. Oh and let’s not forget the famous champagne button which in itself should make this place ‘next’ in your places to go.4 x 1 = 4In conclusion, with an outstanding score of 72 out of 75, Bob Bob Ricard deserves the resounding accolade of "Five Star Plus." This dining establishment is not just a restaurant; it is an exquisite journey where culinary mastery meets impeccable service, a captivating venue, and flawless presentation. Bob Bob Ricard is a gem that sparkles brightly in the heart of Soho, London, inviting patrons into a world where every moment is a celebration of gastronomic delight.Overall 72/75* * * * * Five Star Plus

c smith: Expensive but excellent quality food, service and setting. A lovely evening meal to make you feel like you’re in the great Gatsby. If you prepared to spend over £100 per person then you’ll enjoy your evening without worrying about the cost. The cocktails are sublime especially with the champagne foam, and the champagne is perfectly chilled. A main each, side to share, and a dessert each was a good quantity of food for the evening.Vegetarian options: Champagne and truffle pie was up to the standard of other mains on offer.

Quo Vadis: what do users think?

Andrew Miller: My happy place

Bernadette Minton: is mis-categorized - the porchetta is wonderful but with all the capers, and the anchovies and the sauce - the flavors are so strong and so salty

N T: Super British food. Tasty, quality ingredients and good portions. Lots of unique and traditional dishes to choose from. Their pastries / pies are also amazing. They are open to non-members while they renovate, so definitely a must try before it isn't open to the public.

Sujon Biswas: Nice

dittatorrichard: Esperienza ottima sotto tutti i punti di vista!

Alexandra Bissett: so this piquant version was a delicious surprise. The meaty pieces of smoked eel, smothered in fiery horseradish cream and Dijon mustard almost overwhelm the dish. But the sourdough bread pulled it together for me. Is the pickled onion a touch too much given the strong flavors of horseradish cream and Dijon? Perhaps, but I thoroughly enjoyed this delightful eel sandwich. The pie of the day was chicken with white sauce. The lovely crust with the creamy and satisfying filling were a perfect match. It was hearty and perfect for the rather dreary April weather. Loved this restaurant!

Hettie: We were delighted with our visit to Quo Vadis. We were a party of 6 and our table was perfect. The team were wonderfully attentive in just the right way, knowledgeable and added to the whole experience. As for the food, it was utterly delicious, it's hard to mention standouts but the soup of the day, goose rillettes, hake and seafood vol-au-vent were standouts. The desserts are delicious too but we were glad to share them having indulged so happily over the starters and mains! The white wine we had to accompany the meal was delicious also. Overall, a fantastic experience and a wonderful Birthday celebration for one of our party.

sergio valentini: . All in all a memorable experience

Nikki M: we went straight for the mains. I had halibut , my partner lobster Thermidor with sides of samphire and chips. The quality of the fish and lobster was really good and filling, with nice chunky chips, don’t miss out of the tartare sauce. Will be back

Vadim Nikitin: One of the last holdouts of proper City cuisine. Intrigue and gossip takes place over fish based boarding-school fare at narrow wood tables, fuelled by the signature cocktail of half champagne half Guinness in a battleworn silver tankard. The mature, personable waiters are pure class. Yes it's a bit pricier than its equally storied carnivorous counterpart - the nearby Simpsons Tavern. But while the latter still sadly remains closed while locked in a fight for survival against its unscrupulous offshore landlords, Sweetings is the only game in town. Use it or lose it!

Seth Linker: and accented with the bright yet bitter chicory.Cold roasted Hereford with beets is the only roast beef you need in your life. That's just to name a few. you literally can not make a bad choice from the menu.Highly recommend sitting at the bar and eating/drinking the night away with the friendly people. Try a glass of the Framboise

Glenn Chandler: A lovely artisan type dining experience. Never disappointed in the food offering, nor the service that provides it. Tye restaurant is simplistic in its styling, but people tend to go here for the food experience not the drapes, or linen/ flower choices. We had three courses with a bottle of wine each and managed to spend £100 per head. A rare treat so didn't baulk at that if I'm honest.

Kevin Bart: We had a great lunch for my birthday March 7th. Our waiter did an oustanding job, so did the kitchen with the food. If you‘re a sweet tooth, let room for some dessert. We couldn‘t not eat anymore because we had 3 starters, one of them of course the famous bone marrow. For main the fish and devilled kidneys were great. The restaurant dose nose to tail at it‘s best and we can‘t wait to go back.

christopher oakley recycling!: This is a great place and we enjoyed the whole experience. There is a set menu, of superbly cooked and presented dishes, that changes weekly, there are wines by the glass and by the bottle and the whole place has a lovely ambience. If I had one criticism, it would be of the seating, which is a little austere, but otherwise I can't fault it. You can dine for £75 a head but wine does push up the overall bill. We felt it was well worth it and I was particularly pleased with the pairing of desert wines by the glass, which went down a treat. Well done Pidgin!

シフォ: . The food is beautiful, but not particularly new.The taste was also normal. It was a salon-style room at the entrance.Interesting interior but uncomfortable.I passed the yellow room on my way to the bathroom, but this place seems like it could be slow. The toilet looks interesting, butDifficult to use and uncomfortable. Toilets should be made easier to use, such as making the washbasin wider, making it easier to store luggage, and making it easier to close the door.

hibiscus92 Paris: Excellent restaurant, very well located, on Regent Street, welcome and service, nothing to complain about, the staff is smiling and available, good advice, the service is not too long, you will find staff who speak French if you do not speak no English, regarding the restaurant of chef Pierre GAGNAIREThe dishes we chose were delicious and very well presented. The bread is also delicious. An excellent place for a quality dinner and a pleasant time.On the other hand, it was not specified on the menu whether the meat is of French origin, which would be a shame if it was not, especially for a restaurant run by a French chef supposed to represent French cuisine and give a certain image of our country abroad.

Vikram Santilal: Excellent service. The team were highly engaging with my daughter as we were there for Mother’s Day.I would recommend anyone to go atleast once. The reason for the 3 stars is only for the variety on the vegetarian menu. Apart from that, a great experience and we look forward to our visit again.Vegetarian options: Limited to what they have.We hope they can introduce some great flavours for the sandwiches

Moira: . My son who eats meat, said that his food was nice and the truffle chips and bread were good too.An enjoyable afternoon in a beautiful place, with very disappointing food.
