Shane Maclean: Love this shop. Needed a masquerade mask and found the perfect mask for the ball. The girl behind the counter with the red hair was wonderful and so helpful. Thank you. Will be back when in Soho again to look at all their other stuff.
Daisy Moira Starns: Guy on your door today with the beard was so rude and aggressive and accused me of purposely queue jumping even though it was a mistake which I explained and apologised for. Handled the situation very rudely for no reason and after reading a few other reviews seems this is an issue with a lot of your staff. Not very festive at all 🧟♀️

Postcard 24r: Beautiful and strange strange shop. The shop assistants are really really kind and funny. They have a lot of different a staff about magic, maditation and yoga.

Deepak Malhotra: Went into this shop looking for a Halloween costume along with some accessories, instead I left shocked and appalled. Idols of demons and the devil were placed directly next to idols of Hindu deitys. There were candles in the shape of a bhuddha which is nothing but disrespectful. Of course no statues of Jesus were placed next to the devil. The blatant disrespect for Hinduism and Buddhism was appalling. Will definitely not visit this shop again and I urge you not to either.

D: Superb team of guys working in the store providing the best support in deciding outfits to fit any budget. Quality across the board to meet your price point. The outfits I ended up purchasing were considerably (20%+) cheaper than amazon and I initially only explored this place locally by chance having run out of options to have things delivered in time. Will be visiting again as they have advertised fireworks close to diwali time. There are no changing rooms though you can try outfits over your own clothes to be more confident in sizing.

Lauren Mckeown: Ray is always so friendly and helpful. My second visit to the shop and just as great as the first. You can literally buy anything fancy dress esque and they do balloons including helium for really reasonable price. Go check it out its boss!!

Lucy Whitnall: We had such a great experience hiring costumes at Mad World. Jake and Eleni were an absolute joy to work with, super accommodating and truly brought our costume vision to life - can’t recommend enough!
Caroline Findlay: Wonderful store, with fantastic staff who deliver excellent customer service. Being a Business Manager in a retail environment I know all too well there’s a fine line between being helpful, and being annoying! I loved that I was greeted upon arrival and asked if I needed any assistance; initially I didn’t, as I just wanted to browse and get a feel for what was available. After trying on a few outfits I asked one of the advisers for help (sorry, but I forgot to ask her name!) She suggested a few items to try on and left me to it. I loved one of the tops she had picked, and another adviser (Eleni) suggested additional items to complete my outfit. On that note, I just want to acknowledge Eleni’s fabulous customer service - she has an ingrained passion for what she does, and is a real credit to the business! The whole experience from start to finish was fantastic. They listen to what you want, are incredibly helpful, and are really lovely people to boot. Highly recommended!
David Simkins: Visited here for the first time to hire a Johnny Depp style Mad Hatter outfit and could not have had a better experience. All of the staff could not do enough for me, finding outfit variations to suit and fit me - even styling a basic black hat to character. They clearly take huge pride in what they do. Will definitely add an image from the party itself, complete with scary makeup. Huge selection of outfits and accessories - highly recommended! PS. More great service when I went to pick my outfit up, including taking time to help me to buy the correct face paint etc. Pictures as promised!

Tasha Cooper: So wanted a nice Hallowen Costumes so started browsing on Google and found this store in Chingford Went there happy to see there was a free parking space and then when I entered into the store staff welcomed me really nicely and I asked them for halloween Costumes and Wow they have the huge Halloween inventory and showed me. I spent almost 45 minutes in the store and my shopping was very relaxing.

Sheelagh Riley: Disgusting, they sent me wrong items, I was told by Stefani that I would get full refund including postage, I promptly returned the items in the original box by recorded delivery, the post office returned the items to me stating that Carnival Store refused to take the items back?. I am disgusted, they are dishonest, by refusing to to take back items I don’t get a refund? Very clever and very dishonest.

Poppy Lees: Would rate 0 stars if I could! Ordered some costume bits a week before halloween with Royal Mail special delivery as there was a postal strike on one of the 7 days so just wanted to make sure it would arrive in time (£10 delivery fee). Never got any confirmation that it was shipped or any tracking details. When the items didn’t arrive I rang them and they told me to wait a few more days. I have now waited 4 weeks and every time I ring and ask them to refund me, the manager tells me to check the tracking details they sent me, which they never sent. Very angry as the order totalled £30 and now when I ring and ask for a refund I get shouted at down the phone and hung up on. Its quite clear that if you can’t provide proof of postage and the items never arrive then I’m entitled to a refund. Whatever you do, do not shop here. Now looking at other reviews I can see that they have no care other than stealing your money with no care as to whether the items ever show up.
Jemima Stainton: I ordered an item on the website and it came damaged. I emailed the company to get information on how to get a refund and I was met with very blunt, unhelpful responses. I was told to send it back, meaning I would have to spend more money on this item plus the 20% they take off before sending the refund. None of this damage is my fault but I am still expected to lose more money!!
