The London Library: what do users think?

Dirthouse: Pretty bloody special

Terry Myers: Depression

Jane Gerson: Love the London Library.

Claire Hadaway: My quiet haven in the centre of the city.

anne st pier: The library was lovely. Had a great afternoon ther

Rachel Scott: A beautiful space in central london, so much literature history contained in one building!!! Founded in 1841 by Thomas Carlyle as an alternative to the library in the British Museum. They have a huge range of books, private members library although they do run tours.Wondering the stacks and getting lost is half the fun. Praises can not be sung loud enough about the staff just utterly lovely!

Olivia Graham: A magical place to spend an afternoon

Bashayer Al: I love this library and the history behind it. It is private though, you must be a member to enter.

Drunken Duck Promotions: I also recommend the tea served. Simply divine.Great visit, its like a trip back in time with its chic decor. So much variety of book to choose from. I will be back & have been.

Maughan Library: what do users think?

Niken Safitri Dyan K: Such a gorgeous library

Kate Popova: away from the nearest tube station.Cold food is allowed, drinks with lids only. There are a lot of quiet places where you can borrow a PC and work as long as you need to. Most areas are open 24/7.

Jyk Wong: An outstanding architectural gem on this stretch of Chancery Lane. Lovely building details if you stop and cast your eye over the façade of the building. This is a huge library – zillions of books and reading material in various formats. There is strict security at the front desk and throughout the building. Note that there are strict guidelines for eating and drinking inside the study areas, to help to insure the health and safety of all library users and a long life for library collections, furnishings, and equipment. The best time to get a silent study spot is before 11am. Try to avoid coming here after 1pm during exam season.

Nguyen Nguyen: it has great spots to cry in

Norman Butler: This amazing library is part of King’s College, London. The Round Reading Room is particularly impressive. The building was once the headquarters of the public records office and as such was one of the first fireproof buildings. The shelves of the record rooms are made of slate and the building had no heating or fireplaces. It is now the university library.

Li Duan: A tranquil library

César Polo Gómez: It was a shame not to be able to access it.We only visited the exteriors, specifically the Gardens.Interesting because of the architecture and the green areas, it is a charming place with armchairs included. If you have to wait to access Temple Church, a recommended place.

Shiva Rezvani: This place is a combination of practicality and beauty 🧡❤️

E.M. Blake: Awesome architecture and opposite a cool pub too. It's just off Fleet Street and it's one of those places you might never hear about unless you studied at King's College. It is a fantastic library, only accessible for students & alumni, but anyone can see the grounds & exterior.Inside, it's easy to get lost, as well as really tired walking from one section to another if you are hunting for books. The staff are helpful. They have extended hours during exam time.

Fiza Zaman: Such a scenic, lovely place to study. Extremely busy during exam seasons.Avoid coming here after 1pm during exam season, after 4/5pm and before 11am is the best place to get a silent study spot.Plenty of space otherwise in the library even during exam season.Only open to university students as far as I know but visitors can ask as this used to be allowed.

The National Poetry Library: what do users think?

Lorraine A: , small study areas, and a child friendly space just outside.

richard k: This is such a great place if you like poetry. Amazing and really helpful staff.

Etheria H: Huge collection of world most famous and representative poet’s works and essays and academic references. It’s a paradise for poetry students. I really appreciate that there is such a place made for poetry only which seems always been left at the corners of most bookshops. Poetry is the most beautiful genre of literature and need more attention from people, and this is where the poetry will be properly preserved and where new poets and poetry scholars will thrive from.

Rodrigo Domínguez González: This little library is the Crown Jewel of the Southbank Centre, one of the few free libraries in London, with the best silence to study at

michael: Es gibt wirklich sehr viele Bücher. Eine super Bibliothek, welche auch sehr schön aussieht

Ramesh Arya: Coffee

Ben Cox: SO MANY GOOD WORDS. Best place for poetry, free massive library on the southbank.

Aaron SB: This place is a haven for writers and admirers of poetry. I have been using the space for years and it has never disappointed, you won't find another like it.Oh and the staff are wonderful.

Mervyn Seivwright: Amazing. My new poetry collection, "Stick, Hook, and a Pile of Yarn, " was shared with the National Poetry Library from my publisher, Broken Sleep Books. I was interviewed on National Poetry Day about the collection at my writing craft process.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Gopi Chandan: I went here hoping to work from here, but I found that we are not allowed to work here unless it's poetry related work. But staff here were helpful and suggested a few other places. This place is full of books related to poetry for the interested ones out there. The place is also calm, peaceful as it should be.

Wellcome Library: what do users think?

Josephine: I've visited on multiple occasions. It's a really nice place to visit and the reading room is a nice place to study. It's exceptionally busy during the school holidays and as it's not the biggest museum, it quickly reaches full capacity. Would still recommend it, especially when there are new exhibitions.Visited on Weekday Reservation recommended Yes …

Emma T: Peaceful, helpful staff, super relaxing

Barbican Library: what do users think?

moot hxor: I love this library, it’s small and cozy, even if the selection of books is modest. The small issue is that it’s at the same time a kind of nursery; crying babies, toddlers running around and mummy’s talking super loudly sometimes makes it a difficult environment to actually read. Also lots of homeless people so some of the seating areas stink really really bad.

Ged Hickman: Such a contrast to my local library that is only staffed part time. Multiple librarians and a huge selection of books, audiobooks. The music library manuscript section is larger by itself than many local libraries.

Innocent Ogunmwonyi: Great place to revise at, there is a nice quiet zone with individual desks to one another. The security there are a joke though, constantly kicking you out of places for no reason and where nobody is sitting.

Gareth Davies: A good Lending Library in the Barbican Centre. The librarian who helped me was efficient, friendly and professional. Excellent.

G S: Not too busy. Currently a Status Quo exhibition on that some staff members were not aware off.Great to see some of the tickets stubs that we used to receive in the post before the Internet dealt with that with self printing.

Paul Russell: Excellent facility within what still remains an architectural gem and potential template for quality social space. City developers should be made to study the positive and practical Barbican concept when seeking to resolve many of today's social housing needs. With so much to do here I recommend everyone visit at some time just for the experience.

E Ray: Great staff, amazing kids library, lots of activity sessions

Imran Chaudhry: Large selection of books. Good seating arrangements with more relaxed seating available for reading books and a study area. Well staffed on a Saturday.

Daniel Godfrey: Excellent displays and reading steps with very helpful staff. Many creative activities

Tunde Akinkunmi: Comfortable

byron wallen: Brilliant resource

Aria: Great place to sit and work.

Ken Milne: Went here to see the 2 tone exhibition which was brilliant, free and worth a view

Andy Ellis: Great space to chill, study or read

Jonathan Binns (JB): I enjoyed looking around there today💜🎵😉🙌🏼

Mark Johnson: This public library in the heart of the barbican centre not just a place to find a book with a dedicated children's and music library.compact disc and Dvd with listening facilities

Alejandro Calderón López: Great space for working, researching and focusing in a quiet environment. The architecture is insane. Great visit

Arden: A wonderful Library. Rotating art exhibitions, great collection of books, music and DVDs. Relaxing atmosphere and helpful staff.

Gergely Lovas: Cozy and friendly place

Danilo Venticinque: Great selection of books

Kensington Central Library: what do users think?

Miralisa Game: Really nice place 👍

Miguel Belo: 📚 Amazing place to study. You don't need to register or have a card, just walk in and head to the first floor and find a place to sit. There aren't many plugs, only on the left side of the library and it's usually packed. The internet is absurdly fast, I've done a test with speedtest, and take a look at the results in the video I've added.🏛️The Library is quite spacious, and has several floors

Grace Miller: I was blown away by the architectural beauty of this Library. The grandeur and historical significance of the building added a sense of awe to my visit. The library's well-organized layout and helpful staff made it easy to navigate and find the resources I needed. A true gem in London's literary landscape.

Irina Kuzina: Spacious and welcoming place. Good kids library and one for teenagers. Great that the local libraries are connected: you can take smth in Chelsea or Paddington and return in high street Ken. Convenient. Staff is kind, attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. Wheelchair accessible facilities.

Arsène: The extensive collection of books is nothing short of impressive. Kensington Central Library boasts a diverse range of genres, from classics to contemporary works, catering to readers of all ages and tastes. The shelves are meticulously organized, making it a breeze to navigate through the vast selection. Furthermore, the library regularly updates its inventory, ensuring that there's always something new to discover during each visit.

Parsa Dev: Perfect place to focus on work

soca randy: Great

dsy: I really like the study area and the fact that the library has Wi-Fi that you can use as you’re doing work. The only thing is it can get crowded during exam seasons etc. but there always tends to be space somewhere.

zuleyha inceoz (seF): or chat. They also manage bad odour in the library which is caused by crowd, sweat smell, and eating at the library. Security should warn noisy and disrespectful people. Allover it is nice place to read or study.New opening time is below. I took the photo on 11th of October at 6pm

Karolina Kuźma: Lovely place to study!

Scarlett Croft: Beautiful library! Easy to figure out printing services.

Soumya Subrahmanyam: Helpful staff and charming place to spend time!

Xavier Swancelleste: . In my search for books on Domestic Abuse. I also needed to spend some time in their Local Studies department which you can only visit by appointment. So success was close at hand. I found a couple of non fiction books concerning Domestic Abuse.

Paul Taylor: Best public library in London

The Zine: with bold and broad brushstrokes - as to characterise her life using the butterfly effect. When Dip left India she was in a cocoon of political upheaval yet her new sense of self had been fulfilled in a variety of guises involving being a daughter, niece, wife, motherhood, finding professionalism brought kaleidoscopic reflections of what it meant to be a modern woman after the British Raj to life. The poetics behind a life lived well echoes in interpreting what it would mean for most to leave a place of familiarity to search for something new. In its honesty the voice of narration offers such clarity in speaking truth to power in measuring the titans of Gandhi and Nehru in spades. Seemingly the lasting legacy of the Partition was to pick a political side and be ingrained in the politics that goes all with the cause

Anna Dziurdzińska: great place to just hang out and read

Vanessa Ospina López: Amazing library and staff is very kind !

Sylvia Li: Spacious

Onyx: amazing for studying

They have a good selection of books for a public library, and you also get access to ebooks and audiobooks. The staff is always very helpful and polite. I have also used the cafe and I can confirm that their cakes are more delicious than those at most cafes!

Irene Tsang: Good library to work with as long you have a good pair of noise cancelling headphones as children's activities take place on the first floor. My only complaint about the place is no hot food available at the ground floor cafe, and lack of sufficient central heating.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …
