Whitechapel Gallery: what do users think?

Jack Dobson-Smith: Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No

Future Bear: What a piece of magic

Jennifer M: Small and intimate, but a really interesting collection of rotating installations.

Patrick Williams: A good place

Max: Real hidden gem if you are a bit interested in art.

Suzanna Ohlin: Pretty cool and free of charge, though I expected way more considering the fame around this Gallery. I liked the installations that invited physical interaction with the work. I could even work out a little using giant plushy warms they have there. There were also couches and music, the installation which speculated on public spaces and how to make them inviting. The bookshop has some decent titles in offer, I did not expect it to be so diverse.Overall a fun gallery, felt more creative and social than some contemporary art galleries which focus on moralising messages.

J Ritz: Lovely exhibition with a great variety of art including video, photography, audio and conceptual arts. Spent three hours and loved every minute.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

John Noonan: Good display and the layout is conducive to moving through the gallery

Cecile Vuillet: qui permet de mieux comprendre les oeuvres. Musée rapide à parcourir.

Simon Mitchell: Very interesting mix of pieces. Glad we took the time to visit.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait …

Rachel: Life is more important than art, that’s why art is important ❤️Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

If you love art and especially if you’re only visiting London for a short time check it out. I’ve been to countless exhibitions here since I moved to London in 2016 and I’ve never been disappointed.Visited on Weekend …

Natalie O: Amazing displays are held here, no tickets required.Unassuming entrance, you need to get buzzed in and if you arrive at opening time you might have to wait a little bit until staff arrive to open up. Finding the second gallery was a little confusing as the signage wasn't great but if you go out into the back courtyard continue round to your right.

Noura: I enjoyed the religious paintings the most

Paul Hallgarth: This is one of my favourite galleries to visit. I was particularly keen to see the Francis of Assisi Exhibition. This was free to view and had some fascinating items to inspect m. It was well laid out and most informative.Be pret to queue to gain entry to the National Gallery. I had to wait for 10 minutes or so before I was thorough security but it is well worth the wait to gain entry to such a wonderful olacet

Diana: We went especially for the Francis of Assisi exhibition which was excellent.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

issy b: The exhibition is great, the photos are from a paid exhibition inside. I'd recommend becoming a member as I've seen 2 paid exhibitions and I've got my money back pretty much. There is a good cafe to the right of the side entrance. Lift upstairs. Expresso cafe. The gallery is in front of trafalgar Square, so each time I've been there has been street music. It's next door to the national portrait gallery, too.

Frank Hayman: Lovely gallery- great exhibits and very helpful staff. Definitely swing by the cafe!Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

Just Cheryl: Great place to decompress after a stressful day at work. Finish work at 5pm still have 20 to 30 mins to appreciate some art.

James Jessop: .

Tanya Lake: Free gallery so worth popping in if you are in the area. You'll find the main gallery on the ground floor so have a look around. Then stop off at the cafe for a bite to eat. The gardens are open at the weekend. The gift shop is worth exploring. Make sure you go to the fire station to see more free art exhibits after - its a short walk on the opposite side of the road.

Richard Howells: Great gallery, especially as it is free, but for non artsy type people like me it was a little hard to access. Some of the art spoke to me but other exhibits I could not grasp at all. There was a little print out which explained some bits but I felt I didn't get any benefit from about 50% of the work there, which was a shame. Hence the 4 stars, because it might just be me not getting it!

Giulio Leoncini: Beautiful space

A little clear of the London crowds. As well as a very nice coffee and cake. What more could you want?Don't tell anyone.

Marcel Huelsbeck: One of the better and lesser visited art museums in London. For me, the JMW Turner collection and the modern british art collection are at the heart of the exhibition. I recommend checking the schedule for the free guided tours and talks and attend two or three different events throughout a day. E.g. attend the twelve o clock tour, have lunch nearby and return for the 1400h tour.

Georgios Fasilis: Nice studio with workshops

kk shaks: P.s I want my house to look like graffik gallery !!

Jim Eite: how to use spray paint and all sorts of different styles and techniques. Made and brought home mini canvas. Seb is awesome, highly recommended.

David Gandolfo: Just finished a graffiti workshop at graffik gallery with my 9yo son. It was brilliant. They taught how to use the spray paint and all sorts of different styles and techniques. We sprayed the walls of their workshop and made our own canvas to take home.Seb was an excellent teacher and artist. Very patient with everyone and turned my terrible graffiti into a work of art! In the words of my son, he’s a legend! Would definitely recommend. Was a gift for 9yo birthday, but he already wants his next party there. 5*

Ashley Slade: Excellent and fun Graffiti workshop tutored by two excellent artists.Made it look so easy, I wish it was.But all three of us walked away with an art piece we were proud of.Thanks seb and jess

Celine Regamey: Best experience ever. You come out knowing how to spray and with a super cool canvas. Seb is so helpful and encouraging. It’s also a joy to see how well he can spray. The whole team there is just great. Was there with two teenagers

I would absolutely recommend his class to anyone who will be in London and looking for something unique to do. Definitely a high light of our trip to London!Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

Sebastien Masterton-Smith: was taking the Graffiti course, so I instantly knew it would be great. He did not disappoint, clear instruction was provided and we got to grips with using the spray cans immediately on the back wall. Victoria was also fantastic helping my son with his canvas, I thoroughly recommend this to anyone that enjoys creativity, and the smell of spray paint! There is the added bonus of the location being on the iconic Portobello Road, so you get to take in the sights too and mooch about the market. Loads of great food in the area too.

Talal Karkouti: Great place. Nice art and the workshops are excellent.
