Krav Maga London-Vauxhall Self defence classes: what do users think?

Dasha Dubovitskaya: Best Krav Maga club of the 4 I've tried so far, offers a very pragmatic, rigorous, thoughtful and enjoyable training programme. The instructors strike a perfect balance between pushing you to improve your fighting ability and fitness and maintaining a friendly, fun, supportive atmosphere. There's a good cardio element to the workout, and I've definitely noticed a big improvement in my overall fitness levels in the 8 months I've been attending classes. There's a big emphasis on defending yourself "smartly" - learning how to de-escalate a conflict situation, to defend and disable the attacker in the most efficient way, to think about fighting tactics. Everyone who comes along is keen to learn, takes the training seriously but without arrogance or pretentiousness, and has a healthy sense of humour! Great club.

Bruno Busanelli: I have joined the club just over 2.5 years now. All instructors are excellent, extremely knowledgable in every aspect. Super friendly classes and great connection between all students making easier and safe to train all possible thechniques. It definitely made me more self-aware of any potential danger I might be exposed to and also made me much more confident. The club also runs great courses exploring all different scenarios. please please try to the shooting course in Poland!! It’s mindblowing!!!

James Goodhand: Fantastic place to learn Krav Maga. Instructors are very knowledgable and approachable. I’ve been to other clubs where the atmosphere can be a bit ‘macho’ and that’s not the case at KML at all. A great workout, but definitely accessible to those who haven’t done this kind of thing before. All levels of pupils are well catered for, and the instructors are great at providing individual feedback. If you aren’t sure definitely give the Induction offer a try before you commit.

Pawel: boost of self confidence and increased my fitness level. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Agnieszka Bulinska: Fantastic Krav Maga classes in multiple locations. Dion, Klaudiusz and Wojtek are all great instructors with a gift for teaching and they make all students feel welcome and comfortable. There’s a 50/50 split between men and women training, spanning virtually all levels of ability so it truly is a place for everyone. Also the induction offer of three initial classes is a great value option to check whether this is something you’d fancy doing in the long term.

Ansar Ali: If you are looking for authentic Krav Maga that is taught at the highest level and no compromise standard then this is the school for you. Following the KMG syllabus set by Master Eyal Yanilov from Israel; The instructors are not only dedicated, passionate and leaders in this field... they strive to teach and push every student to reach their potential. You will get as much as you will put in and the lessons will be challenging but the knowledge is world class. Kida!

Pauline Harding: I learnt Krav Maga here for about two years and the lessons were so much fun, great for fitness, and it was so satisfying to learn how to escape/kick/ punch/defend myself in an effective, responsible way. The instructors are all lovely, enthusiastic, skilled, supportive and generally awesome. I've just moved city and I'm so sad that I can't take the club with me!

Clara McDonnell: Great experience with KML. Started as a complete beginner, but felt very comfortable in the classes, while more experienced students were also accommodated. The instructors helped you to jump right in, and I felt like I learned some valuable skills very quickly. The organisation has a great setup in terms of flexibility for attending sessions and levels of membership.

Maurice Roach: Positive:Professionalism,QualityA really friendly Krav Maga club with instructors who are knowledgeable, patient and great communicators. They've delivered great classes via video call during lock down, and before the that in person sections were excellent. If you're interested in Krav Maga at all, this is a club you should join.

Rachel Mathews: Would highly recommend the Krav Maga Training Sessions, especially for these who want to feel safe and protect themselves from unpredictable/difficult situations regardless of your size, strength and fitness level or experience you have.Klaudiusz is great and informative instructor as well as Wojtek and Dion.Whilst you learn a lot from the training sessions and build your strength/fitness level, it’s also a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

Jack Barrat: Started as a complete beginner. Great coaching, both a challenge and accessible. Would highly recommend

Samson Oladele: Really great and educative sessions. 🙂🙂🙂

Ben Green: Would highly recommend Krav Maga London. The club has a fantastic set up, and the instructors are very knowledgeable and great communicators.

Sarah Botting: A very knowledgeable and friendly club, great space and easy access to the tube and mainline stations.

Tomasz Wardecki: Fantastic atmosphere, supportive and knowledgeable instructors. Techniques are well explained and shown in different tactical situations. Constructive feedback in very good manners showing that your personal development is one of their highest priority. I travelled from Portsmouth for whole day session and I will definitely do it again.

Paul Chaillou: , so you will be able to train efficiently! I can only recommend to join :

Prue James: and the instructors immediately make you feel welcome and are super knowledgeable. They give individual feedback throughout class on how to improve and the techniques are designed for real life situations. I would definitely recommend this club.

S HALL: Great Krav Maga club in easy to reach venues.I am a beginner, and each session gives me a new understanding of techniques. Instructors are very welcoming to new members, and demonstrate and breakdown moves to help learning. Also they are very attentive to you to support your growth. Great Club to be a part of.

Institute of Krav Maga UK: what do users think?

Mirco Magi: , loads of classes available and incredibly prepared instructors.

Eduardo Paperini: Best Krav Maga in London!Top instructor Joe has the highest grading/ranking in the UK. He regularly goes to Israel to train with top IDF and other global top instructors all over the world. The Insitute of Krav Maga in overall, is adamant that people train fairly, respect each other and praise safety training. The club also has a fantastic atmosphere and camaraderie, which helps if you're just starting out. The people are great, and I've managed to grow great friendships. This also helps with motivation and training regularly to maintain good health and fitness.

Grzegorz Lesniewski: Highly recommend for everyone who wants to feel safe on the street. Doesn’t matter if you are beginner or have some martial art experience in the past - here you learn how to protect yourself in all real scenarios - kicking, choking, knife attack, two attackers, stick attack, front and back attack etc. The good point is that we not only learn how to fight but also how to behave in high level of stress situations. All in safe and very professional conditions.

R Pavlova: Adrenaline? Teachers that make every class unique? Effectiveness and practice to defend and attack? Extremely different activities that will make you sweat but also will give you huge portions of laughter and fun? If your answer is YES to those questions then that’s your place to learn how to fight and enjoy the process. I highly recommend it to people who get bored fast.

Laurynas P.: Institute of Krav Maga is a great place to learn fighting, self-defense, improve your fitness and a perfect way to keep yourself active in general. I have thoroughly enjoyed all the classes since joining since the instructors are friendly and very knowledgeable. Only good things to say about this club!

Ágoston Hajnal: Fantastic place with amazing instructors. I am a 30-something cerebral guy who has never done any fighting sports and isn't particularly athletic in the first place but coming here is the best decision I have made in a long time. I feel more calm, energized, and confident than ever before and there is a strong sense of camaraderie and community in this group. It's also great value for the money that you pay. I keep coming back for more.

Manuel Santiago: If you want to learn real, effective self-defence from a great team of instructors in a friendly, welcoming club then the Institute of Krav Maga is the best!

Banty Bhojraj: I have trained krav maga in various clubs and this one is the absolute best! Joe, Tibor and the rest of the instructors are absolutely brilliant! I highly recommend the club if you are looking to learn more about Krav Maga, self defence or just want a different way to get fit!

Teo Cobos: Great team and organisation! I've trained in many martial arts gyms around London and none come close to feeling like a family.

Rada “Reni” Pavlova: Joining the Institute of Krav Maga London was a game-changer for me. With six days of training available and double sessions on Saturdays, it's been a breeze to weave the discipline of Krav Maga into my hectic life. The practicality of the training took me by surprise; it's not just about self-defense—it's a holistic approach to fitness that's reshaped my body and mind, effortlessly aiding in weight loss and providing a much-needed counterbalance to my intensive study sessions. The classes themselves are a blend of interactive techniques and captivating stories behind each move, keeping the learning process both stimulating and enjoyable. The community spirit here is tangible, with a group of supportive and friendly individuals who share a common goal of self-improvement.Each instructor brings a unique energy to the mat, making every class an adventure in its own right. Krav Maga here goes beyond fighting—it's a study in awareness and a science of human behavior. As someone who steers clear of violence, learning to confront and control it has been empowering.I recommend the Institute of Krav Maga London to anyone chained to a desk job or looking for a meaningful physical and mental challenge. It's not just a class; it's a lifestyle. And for me? It's a commitment for life.

Nawaf Qaid: The Institute of Krav Maga is a game-changer. As a level 4 brown belt instructor and door supervisor, the skills I've gained here are crucial for real-life threats. Joe and Tibo's training is top-notch, teaching you to handle dangers like knife attacks and multiple foes. It's perfect for security pros or anyone who wants to feel safer. Highly recommended for practical, life-saving defence skills.

Michael Estares: Best instructors, amazing people, lovely atmosphere. The teaching is top-notch and everyone is friendly, approachable and supportive. Absolutely a great place to learn self-defence/martial arts. I literally got hooked up and will keep attending classes whenever I’m able.If you haven’t done anything like this before and want to learn self-defence or still want to progress, sign up and I’m pretty sure you won’t regret it. Plus they offer multiple days of training so it’s really worth it.Would definitely recommend to anyone interested in self-defence/martial arts.

He has opened many doors for me in the Krav Maga world. His knowledge is vast and has helped me develop my personal skills as-well as my Krav Maga Academy.I recommend The Institute of Krav Maga highly and if you are looking for effective selfdefense training and or a new fitness regime there is no better place.Book a trial

Cristina Tatar: Excellent club! The training is designed to improve your mindset and skills while combining strong theoretical knowledge with great practice based on real-life scenarios. All instructors are great and they manage to adapt the training to all student regardless of their previous knowledge or fitness level. Also, the social element is what makes this place the best to train with. I highly recommend this club, training with them has become a must for my lifestyle!

Dee B: Amazing Club, really knowledgeable and helpful instructors, lots of higher belts to support the students. Really friendly group! Was really intimidating walking in but they made feel at ease and really encouraged me in my first few sessions and here i am 10 years later still training with them! Highly recommend them!

J: I've been doing Krav Maga in 4 different countries, this is by far the best one yet. The training is always combined with the reason behind the movement. There multiple instructors in a class so you'll always get personalized pointers from them. I like the community, everyone is very friendly.

Vatsal Uttarwar: I have been training since 2017What I love is despite being a group class, the instructors make sure each and every student gets a personalised feedback as they go around the floor inspecting the techniques.I have felt more confident and assured of handling tense situations, all going back to the fact that we just don't train in the art of Krav, but over years have honed skills to assess situation, make decisions and react accordingly. An essential skill set one needs in modern city life. For those interested in the health aspect, I personally have found this an amazing cardio to pump up heart rates in fat burning, cardio and athletic zones of HR.IKM community is fun, look forward to socialise with some of most interesting peoplr from across walks of life!Thank you Joe and Tibor!

The British Academy of Krav Maga in Kensington: what do users think?

T H: John is a pro, a veteran, genuine and dedicated martial artist who has a vested interest in the development of his students. I've trained with him in the past and he developed my fight game onto another level. Froma student in uni, he's the one who actually got me continuing and becoming a lifelong martial artist! With Gavin Mullholands classes next to door to us in the basement of Westminster, he was never afraid to push us and cross train with them and leading from the front. Nothing but good memories with him.

Marcin p: I took 3 days of intensive Krav Maga course provided by the British Academy of Krav Maga I apraccite it and I would give my very good feedback and 5 stars review to instructors John and Stephen as they are highly professional and reliable, I will join their regular classes in Kensington Primary Academy to continue my training, British Academy of Krav Maga is a good choice if you are passionate and interested about self-defence, martial arts etc and it's great to keep your fitness ability on the high level!

John: John is a great instructor. He teaches professionally and we were all really well looked after. No-one got injured and we learnt many useful move sets. Highly recommend !

Costin Postolache: Been here for around 8 months. The school can deliver whatever your expections are. It's a friendly place with cool funny instructors that make you feel relaxed and in a familiar environment. In the same time you are constantly encouraged to become more sure of yourself and more determined and even aggresive. There are elements that involve higher skill and crazy fitness, which you can adapt according to your own level without anyone looking down at you. Totally recommend

Yuriy Davidov: Simple proven Self-defence techniques

Richard Keogh (KARNAGE KEO): I joined the school earlier in the year and have found it very helpful for both my fitness and in many ways confidence in myself. All the instructors are well trained and always giving constructive and progressive feedback on your personal skill level.Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get fit and learn to feel confident in defending yourself in tricky situations.

Matt Cockcroft: . We have a clear curriculum to follow and high standards are demanded. There is also specific attention paid to everyone's fitness and general conditioning which is crucial. I have learned a lot in a relatively short period of time and feel so much more confident in my

Vince Turner: This is just a FANTASTIC school. John Aldcroft is a first rate chief instructor and has a superb team working with him. They seem to cope with a whole range of ability levels and will develop your skills, fitness and confidence. The school's flexible in terms of the amount of time you can commit to it. It's also very friendly and great fun.

Cahir Muldoon: I started a short while ago, but I have loved every class I have been to so far. The fitness is intense, but enjoyable. I have found the instructors to be very approachable and friendly guys who ensure that everyone receives correct and safe training. No matter which class you are in, the group is very friendly. I have no prior experience with martial arts, but when sparring, my partners, no matter how experienced, have always come down to my level helped me improve my technique. Well worth getting involved in!

Rob Harbron: I took up Krav Maga recently on a whim, and am having great fun with the 'Beginner's Course' so far. The fitness work can be pretty intense, in a good way, and it's enjoyable learning the new skills. I've no prior martial arts experience to compare it to, but would definitely recommend these classes for anyone looking to try something new.

Urban Fit & Fearless | self defence - urban krav maga | London: what do users think?

K S: Fantastic workshops, boosting confidence, core strength and fitness at the same time - they accommodate any fitness levels and it is always a friendly group of fellow trainees around to support you. Patrice cares, helps and gives his best 👌 highly recommended

Chess Galea: Really really good classes. Knowledgeable, patient and attentive instructor

Dasha Dubovitskaya: and have started to understand the basic underlying fundamentals that explain the logic of self-defence moves – movement, momentum, leverage points, etc. I’ve also, somehow, without realising, lost my fear of sparring – because sparring techniques get introduced gradually and sensibly, at an early stage. For krav maga practitioners who are put off by the word “urban” – please don’t be! Urban is where it’s at! This system introduces much needed modifications to the classic krav maga curriculum, including much more thorough groundwork

Alexandra Panduru: The lessons are well paced and explained. They are easy to understand and follow, even for complete beginners.

Adriatik Hasanaj: I joined Krav Maga classes on February 2018 with Patric and since then i turned up nearly every season and I really enjoyed ,i do quite bit of sport but this is one of the best one ,and best move and and best experience, on he’s classes is everything self defence, cardio reall good work out, and Patric he has very well set up high intens 1:30 minutes training every session, good technique and good trainer/ instructor, so me personally I really highly recommend to everyone which is thinking to start something new this year or Tim’s coming try Krav Maga .Urban Fit &Fearless /Self Defence,so ones again highly recommended this place and you want be Disappointed.

Olaf Lesniak: Super

Toby Goodger: I've been going to Patrice's lessons for a few years now and absolutely love them. It's a relaxed but focused environment and he teaches effective and simple techniques. It's also very reasonably priced. Highly highly recommend ✨✨

Killes F: Brilliant and excellent Krav Maga self defence sessions. The tutor Patrice is a well mannered and polite man with no pretentious 'hard man' attitude like alot of other instructors. He has been teaching for years, is very knowledgeable and knows what hes doing. I recommend highly

Maxim Boiko: Very recommended, great friendly people and instructor.

Olga A: Patrice is a great teacher, involved and helpful in explaining if something is unclear. On the classes you can learn how to self defence with many tactics and advices. During 90 minutes you won't have any time to be boring. Just take a bottle of water because it will be absolutely necessary and enjoy!

Lorelie Lim: I did few classes with Patrice few years back and it was a very good experience. I was a beginner and I was introduced to do program comfortably. I enjoyed every class and learned a lot!

andrew ellis: Amazing class and workout will leave you dripping in sweat.

Gabriela: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI’m really glad had a trial class with Patrice. I already feel much safer now, and he is a really nice person/teacher. Totally recommend!!!

Konstantina Vassiou: Great class for more than two years now, too bad the covid happened and I missed a lot . Patrick is an outstanding teacher who pushes you to keep going and not give up. I never thought that a short thin woman like me can defend herself from the attack of a guy. Right now I feel more confident and stronger. Cant recommend this class enough.

Katrina C: I’ve only been to a few classes but intend to keep it up. Patrice & Ricky are attentive and make it safe & fun to learn. You can tell they’re passionate about making self defence accessible to all. Highly recommend. I think every woman especially would feel more confident out & about, armed with some of their techniques. Keep up the great work 💪🏽

Charles Acheampong: Great teacher, one of the best. The moves he teaches you are really practical, and he breaks them down for you to understand. You will definitely enjoy this class

Joseph Arakkal: Patrice and Rick makes your class experience really wonderful. You will learn important techniques to defend yourself when needed. Perfect method and easy to understand.
