Marcie Hearn: do not go if under 45. so boring worst club night i’ve ever been to

Ben Eaton: I did the worm and no one cared about it :(

Ben Eaton: Not ideal for under 70

Alex Book: Horrible, horrible staff: Such a shame - the club night is good fun but the security and entry staff are more rude and unreasonable than any I’ve ever had to deal with. I was physically manhandled into a single line (“THIS is how you queue, yes?!”), then the lady at the cash desk shouted at us as we were trying to pay her the entry money, and finally on the way out my friend’s stamp had been sweated off from dancing so when he went out and wanted to come back in to get us out they tried to charge him again. A really disgusting group of staff, and such a shame as it should be a fun night out - but unless they change, avoid at all costs.

Piotr Mazur: Great dance club with rock music

Andrew: Insultingly expensive entry, filthy floor made it looked like my shoes had walked through tar. Strange music, pretty dead

Dawn Anderson: Really good fun night. Great mix of music.

陈捷玲: Amazing club with great music. Love it

Matthew Hall: Had a great night -Strokes and LCD and more!

Lily Marie: The best indie disco in London 🍻

Anthony Mathys: We went and saw Miranda Sex Garden. There is no disabled access. There are stairs to the basement. The staff were only too happy to help me get downstairs. They carried my rollator down and some very kind gentleman carried it back up for me, after the gig. We had good seats and a good view until someone decided that it would be great to block all of our views by standing in front of the stage. It would have been helpful to have that area demarcated to keep a clear view for us who cannot stand. There were quite a few of us. Never mind, we had a great time. The only other thing that spoilt things was that it was too loud. It was quite distorted on quite a number of occasions. We have no idea who the first act was. It was have been nice to have had a clear announcement. Still, we really enjoyed ourselves. Thank-You for hosting this event.

Hannah Jeffries: Great venue, easy access to bar and reasonable prices. Venue was sold out but not too crowded which was great. Only a few seats for people wanting to sit down. Great set and a wide room so can see the band almost anywhere. Will definitely be coming back! Recommend the Country Show with Cody Pennington

Dean Pinnock: Proper old school venue with a fantastic band and legendary blues artist, Mud Morganfield. The pianist stole the show for me with his ability to read the flow of the band and entertain the crowd.

Phoenixpooh: Great place to catch up on some live music. Very reasonable price for a beer in London. Small, intimate venue.

Madeleine Judge: Great place fir live music. Big Boy Bloater and the Limits brilliant

Thomas Brook: Nostalgic music venue. I went on a memoral tribute night of Punk band menace of band members from 76 todate. Toilets ok & 2 bars either end cash & card accepted.

Raimondo Romanazzi: Old school venue (which is a positive thing for me). I really enjoyed going to this club when they hosted the Osaka Monaurail concert on the 30st December. That was a standing concert. Expect a pub-type of bar offer. It seems to be attended by people of various ages with an ear for good music and very participative crowd. I would definitely go there again.

Adam Heaver: Great little venue 👍 saw Kingdom of Madness Great evening of music.

Zachary Mitchell: The manager’s a ratty-mannered uppity piece of trash who can’t take anyone talking to him the way he talks to others. 5 quid entry. For that you get a dark place, smelly, with a poor selection of beers. I wouldn’t trust a cocktail glass to be wiped clean. Urine all over the floors in the tiny cramped loo. The best thing I got from this visit was a stamp. There was a nice girl behind the bar who charged my phone though - I was very grateful, as this allowed me get an Uber - OUT of there :)

Vikki Ryan: Went here last night to see famo play in a band. £7 entry fee and £11 for a double JD & coke, no wonder the place was empty.Start charging £5 entry and £6 for drinks, the place will be popular and people will love to come and see up and coming bands.

Zeav Jabotnisky: I use to go to this night club every night with my friends I was very friendly with the owner called Sweetie and the mananger called George with big moustache. I remember one waitresses called Katya from Switzerland, later she worked in disco called La Valbonne in Kingly Street and another from Poland.I did forgot her name. The DJ was called Danny, but unfortunately he died. Nice Swiss girls and atmosphere was fantastic. I was known as David, and I always had Jaquar car yellow colour

Ji Li: well it is a club... There is live music and alcohol, what else do we need🤗

Maria E Proko: The security officer at the entrance absolutely rude. I will never visit that place again. He insulted with no reason whatsoever my friend and denied entrance. Very unacceptable

Anzareen Chaudhury: Went for disco night. Music was good but no actual disco ball... Also crowd was sub par and quite basic, thought it would be more diverse.

Si Braybrooke-Gibbens: A great small music venue in the heart of Hackney. This is basically an old working men’s club but the atmosphere with the low ceilings and the tiny stage and small booths to sit in. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff are really friendly. However it’s not entirely disabled access friendly. The club will reserve a booth for disabled gig goers. However, being right at the front by the stage we had the table in front of us knocked over twice by people in the crowd spilling beer and at one time actually spilling a candle with hot wax all over the seat in front of me. It also becomes a bit difficult to get out because of the crowd if you want to get the bar or anything or just get out of the venue it can be quite difficult.

Jonathan Wright: Really great, tiny music venue. Lots of atmosphere. Reminded me of The Windmill in Brixton - retro pub combined with music venue.

Paul Dunford: Friendly Club. They do Moretti so all good! Princess Chelsea was amazing.

Mike Urban: Great live music venue with intriguing military connections. Lots of wood panelling everywhere and the golden barrel roof inside looks great

John Stirling: Oh I love this place. From the queue outside where I felt very old indeed, to the slightly worn low rent interior. This place focuses on atmosphere and has a tonne of it. Decent drinks, really nice staff, and an amazing vibe. Highly recommend.

Sean O'Neill: Brilliant live music venue in the centre of London. Modern, has a few chairs and tables around the outside. Great bar. The sound was brilliant the night I visited for a gig.

Matt Lightfoot: A great venue for a small intimate gig. The bar had a good variety of beer and the whole place was well-organised and clean.

luigi vermicelli: Medium size multi purpose venue, seems pretty new, consequently all pretty clean and fresh. Saw Altered Images here live and can thoroughly recommend as a music venue.

Richard Palmer: Great venue. Like an underground bunker. Nice size and fantastic size and atmosphere. Reasonably priced drinks served by friendly staff. Right next to Great Portland Street station. Superb sound. Heavy doom and sludge gig. Grave Lines. Great.

Adam Heaver: Nice venue quite spacious and good sound saw Evergrey there 👍

Drunken Duck Promotions: I visited The Lexington for a gig & found the staff friendly & beer top quality (for London) It is convenient to Angel tube. As for the gig room above the pub. It was smaller than anticipated, maybe 200+ cap. Sound was spot on & easy to get a great viewing spot. Loved my time there.

Robin Morgan: Very friendly and helpful manager, security, bar staff, cloakroom and sound engineer, which have made seeing a band (Joanne Joanne) and putting on a gig here a few days later a pleasure. Bar and live room are air conditioned. Bar is redneck themed with loads of American spirits, beers and food. Manager up for bands putting their own nights on on Sundays. PA is good and sound engineer we had was knowledgeable, patient and had a good sense of humour.

M Hovezak: Went there to see Skating Polly. Lovely, intimate concert venue. High Victorian pub downstairs, with slightly but not uncomfortably so aloof staff. Upstairs a dark room really, holding about 200-300 people (guesstimate this).

ch33sl3y: Great venue, small and dark and great view of the stage. Would definitely come here again.

C D: My favourite spot in London, always have a great time here, the music is great both downstairs and upstairs in the club room, and they have a great selection of bands and artists performing too. Drinks are a little pricey but as it’s an independent venue you don’t mind so much, and the black discount card helps! The staff are all really friendly (and beautiful!), as are the patrons, it’s easy to chat to people in there and always make friends as it’s a great crowd. Plus it’s open late every night of the week! Can’t recommend it enough!

tony hayes: Love this small London venue! Great fun, and amazing whisky/whiskey bar downstairs.

LWTUA: Great old venue, unusual layout. Good beer and whisky.

Natalie: Very busy on a Saturday night but speedy door service and ticket/coat check. Bar service was pretty decent too considering how busy it was on disco night. Quaint atmosphere with a range of people and ages. Would definitely go back. Decent priced drinks. Only drawback is that it felt a little over crowded.

Matthew Rowley: Came here for a gig and dinner beforehand. Staff were really nice, all the food was plant-based and tasty. The music venue upstairs was a smaller space for more intimate gigs. The gig we went to (and the bar afterwards) had a really mixed crowd, which always proves for the best nights! Had a great time - will definitely be coming back for future gigs.

Kseniya: Amazing atmosphere with these unique interiors that make this place so special! I was very impressed how they transferred this theatre into the nightclub/ concert space and kept those beautiful moldings and how the red color worked there amazingly! Amazing idea to have bars on each floor and the balcony is super cute and sweet. The only thing is that some security are a bit rude and should not behave oppressive towards the customers that are not doing anything bad and just asking questions related to the club…. Also there is no way to have double entry, so if you entered the club, you can’t leave it and come back… you’ll need to get a new ticket so keep that in mind!

Pardeep Sooch: My wife and I came here from Canada, and this place was exactly what we expected from a concert venue in London. The architecture was stunning, the details popped, and the stage was visible from every angle. It was clean and well kept. The men’s bathrooms were a bit cramped (I didn’t explore others- but really it’s enough to get your business done and get out). The staff working were kind and respectful. Unreal experience.

Sunny Glass: A stunning private members club with access to the theatre for performances. The space offers beautifully designed rooms which host private performances or areas to hire for a private event. There are kitchens and bars littered around the labrynthine space and similar to Soho House, offers a luxurious and homely experience. Although the membership of £1800 a year offers no gym / pool / room attachments, there are plenty of opportunities to see up and coming or established bands in an intimate setting. Play pool in the Penthouse, head up to the airy, wild top floor restaurant then finish in the dome bar which is an experience in itself.

María Fernández: Looking fantastic after refurbishment! Plenty of bars set across the different floors, which is great as you don’t really have to queue long for a drink. Smoking terrace would do with a bit more of security or some sort of separations barriers to grant easy entrance & exit to the terrace.

karen Morrissey: What a fabulous venue! Amazing staff and professional service. Great atmosphere, easy travel links, two mins from Euston on the Northern line. Parking free after 5:30 on Sundays roadside always a bonus. Well stocked bar and the fabulous Camden high street and market to explore outside. One of the best venues I’ve been to by far.

Angela: Probably one of the best club nights i’ve had in London. Accessible by tube and night bus, not too crowded, reasonably priced drinks and good music. Scenic balcony makes a good smoking area. Get tickets well in advance and you won’t have to pay. Bathrooms surprisingly clean and overall well managed establishment.

Adam Burnett: The verticality of this venue is what makes it. Many different tiers and spaces to find your way to. Acoustics are decent, however the private lounge in the upper areas has its own music playing, rather loudly, and so if the main stage performance has a quieter section it is often muddied by the sounds spillover. Drinks are as expensive as expected. About £6.80 for a bottled cider. I like that different bars serve different drink selections; keeps people moving and distributed.

Alessandra Distefano: Nice and spacious jazz bar and restaurant. The venue is bigger than the average jazz bar. Food is good and portions are generous. They have a desert board with vegan options available. Good wine and spirit selection. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Book is required and the place fills up quickly even during weekdays.

Ferial Hussein: Nice hidden place, gave me a new Orleans vibe of old pub/club which was nice. Nice music, pianist was great. Prices high for half an aubergine as the only vegetarian main. Will come back for sure for the music not for the food. Staff very nice and welcoming.

Abby Litchfield: Delicious food, wonderful atmosphere and music. We got to see the owner, Steve, play with a fantastic band, SAMARA. Highly recommended if you want to kick back and relax at a table for an evening to enjoy some food, wine, and jazz!

Julia Taylor-Weir: Love this place!! Brilliant atmosphere, amazing food and fantastic music! Highly recommend and when back in London will definitely visit again.

Kathy Tonn: Best music, Hannah Horton and her band are 10 Stars. Good food too. Put the 606 Club on you top list.

Milton Chen: Best pub in London! Food is great and live Jazz band is “ Fantastic “ !

Mohammed M: I went for a jazz night and I wasn’t disappointed, the music was very jazzy and the atmosphere was amazing. Just what you would expect fork an underground jazz club 😃 usually they will make have a reservation and pay for music and service charge. The food itself cost around £20 for the stake + music and device charge almost reached £40 a person.

Gleb Babaren: +: Great club. Cool rock music. Good choice of drinks. Friendly staff. Security is like undercover police, the big brother is watching you. -: 2 airco’s on the dance floor, but one of them is malfunction and the second one was not enough for the club full people.

Pavel P: Got to see the mighty Death Angel here. Venue is small and has an intimate feel, but has been on the scene for decades so the staff knows exactly how to do the sound, maintain relative cleanliness and order. If you get to see a big band in this venue I highly recommend it. The experience is next level

Adam Heaver: Bands on the night where as follows visions of Atlantis, xandria, and ye Banished PrivateersFantastic venue been many times 🤘👍

04: First time I came across this bar was when Mr Kitty held a concert and overall the while place was a great place to chill and hangout. The live music shows they have are behind amazing too!

Bryan Kearney: Nice traditional pub, just up the road from Liverpool Street Station. Had a love pint of Goose Island Hazy IPA.

Danielle MOORE: Good vibes at this pub in Shoreditch/Hoxton. Enjoyed the music. Average prices in London for drinks but a good selection.

Su Baudrey: Great music venue. Yes the floors sticky but a great atmosphere and a small venue so great for watching live music. Toilet was full of druggies.

Dee Z: Dirty, load and old pub. But in a good sense. It’s a place where you stop by for a drink and move on. You can stand outside and watch the people and traffic. Waiters are friendly and taking care not too many glasses are outside. Colourful combination of people in there too. We have been on a Saturday early evening.

Craig Keir: Amazing pub with great atmosphere. Brilliant upstairs music venue. Definitely recommended........

Anthony: Good vibes, been here a few occasions. My friend is a Dj there so I am a bit bias. It’s a busy, messy joint where 75% is dance floor which is my type of gig! Drinks are good and the music is always on point. Theresa an upstairs and a private room on the top which I had a private function at.

Rowan Williams: The music in the downstairs bar was so loud it made my tinnitus come back. Physically impossible to speak to anyone short of screaming in their ear. Just stupidly, needlessly loud music. Gets 2 stars because I was there for a gig and the sound upstairs was actually a normal level. Plus the music venue is air conditioned.

Daniel King: Very nice venue where artists perform, I had a great night watching my friend perform plus the other artist group were outstanding as well. Definitely recommend. 5/5

Anish H: Intimate venue. We went there to see an artist play live. The host (Vivienne) and her team are experts in the events business. We were seated comfortably with a great view of the front stage. Later on we were even offered seats at the front. Nothing was too much trouble for the team, from the hand crafted cocktails to the generous food portions. The ambience and amazingly good sound quality in this small venue, gives it the feel of being in a classy speakeasy. They have the bourbon. All that’s missing is the cigars. Would highly recommend. 5 ⭐️

Matt Daniels: 5 stars would not suffice to tell you how AMAZING this place is. The people, the vibe, the music, the love. This venue is electric and has such a powerful energy. I fell in love instantly! I am definitely going to become a regular! Do not miss out. If you are in London, a MUST see!

Jeff Herd: i visited tam fusion in mayfair to check out some sunday afternoon jazz. tam fusion has great mainly vietnamese food and excellent wine. i had the prawn tagliettelli which was brilliantly flavoured, and as a bonus they strongly support music and musicians. they have 2 other venues which im going to check out. highly recommended!

Richard Andrews: Such a great venue. Super drinks and service and a great show.

Francesco Cretella: This place is awesome! Soul vibes best band ever, the drinks are delicious and the food reflects the Mercato Metropolitano standards: TOP!

Marcelo Cucco Regua: Once of the bests places in London for musicians meeting others and jamming. Very good drinks. The only problem is the price expensive than others pubs in Mercato Metropolitano.

serra c: I went there for Spanish party. We waited 45 minutes for someone to come and scan our tickets😅🙄but the venue is big, sound system is good, Aircon is working. Lighting is good, they can always improve to laser ones.😜Their drinks are not cheap. Bacardi cola and jackdaniels cola £14😁🤪They search you at the entrance. I like the tight security checks.

David Frew: Surprisingly small and intimate venue (which looks huge from the outside) Good sized stage and the front of the crowd are close to the artists. Bar is small, but had plenty of staff. This particular event (The Bug Club was ticketed through Dice, but the app failed to activate any tickets - fortunately there was a list of names)

Joseph Rolph: Really well located venue space, right there by Kings Cross station with plenty of fast food places around for late night snacks. The venue itself is a classic… multiple rooms and bars, great for any function weather it be your favourite artist or a large kinky event like torture garden. Security were professional and understanding, bars well stocked with options… could do with a few more toilets but it’s a beautiful old building.

Andy Andy: The bouncers are very polite and professional but during events they can keep people in queues and in the cold even rain for almost 1 and half hours to 2 hours. I think they should find ways to improve this. Although, i understand they are doing that to ensure our safety.

Tobias Willem Shinyemba: Great place to experience London night life. I enjoyed the good quality of their sound system and their staff are very helpful. PS, You can get non alcoholic beverages from here, while I enjoying your time out. Scala It is located near Banks underground station and there are several bus nearby.

Kiki: Small but great atmosphere. A lot of stairs and even more to get to the toilet so if got Mobility issues be warned.

Jamie Fry l-/: Under 300 people… Under 300 people at a concert played by a band with 20,000,000 monthly listeners, and tens of millions of social media followers. twenty one pilots you put on one hell of a show in such an amazing venue. However… Security teams outside were refusing entry to genuine fans with genuine tickets due to an overestimation of people attending and that to me is absolutely appalling. They were also asking for ID on the door which I do understand, however there were fans who were 15 without any identification as we were not told when we purchased the tickets that ID was required! This lead to even more people being unable to attend the evening. The amount of people in tears… Definitely something that isn’t going to hang easy for the venue over the coming weeks.

Alistair Fordyce: Just seen Twenty One Pilots here. Genuinely unforgettable night, but soured by the thought that there were fans outside with legit tickets who weren’t allowed in as the venue was overbooked. If I’d arrive a couple of minutes later I would have been turned away. Shameful behaviour by the management team here.

DAVID A (ActonDave): Great pub. Lots of interesting beers. Food (quality burgers etc). Nice seating. Not cheap but great atmosphere. Upstairs is a live music venue which has a great range of bands playing, like Emie Nathan.

Mohammed Hussain: A great little venue, this concert in particular was very passionate and so the smaller space made it very hot and tight - make sure you’re hydrated

Steve Osborne: Iconic music venue. Great Pub downstairs with a room upstairs with live music all through the week. Get up close to the music in a small venue. Check out the listings for some really decent bands; some you might not expect. Bar is not too pricey and staff friendly and quick to serve. Support the small gig venues; support music and support locality.

David Simkins: Better known as a live music venue, rather than a pub, but I visited on a midweek lunchtime when it was quiet. Three real ales on tap and a great range of craft beers, etc. Good music playing and friendly bar staff. Definitely worth visiting this legendary place.

London Pub Map: 🚇 Camden Town 🍺 £6.90 Moretti ❤️ A famous Camden pub and legendary music venue. . The Dublin Castle is located on Parkway in Camden Town and just a few minutes walk from Camden High Street and Camden Town tube. . The building of the railways around Camden in the 19th century attracted workers from all corners of the UK. After a night on the sauce around Camden there used to be many a tear-up between the Irish, English, Welsh and Scots navvies. In order to keep them apart, four pubs were built to serve the respective nationalities, all had “Castle” in the name. The Dublin Castle was built to serve the Irish. . In 1974 the pub was bought by an Irishman who decided to showcase up and coming bands and artists, one of the first was Madness and the rest they say his history. Other artists to grace the stage here are Amy Winehouse, Blur, Arctic Monkeys and many more that went on to make it big in the music industry including The Specials, RIP Terry Hall, sad news today. ▪️▫️ . The decor here is no frills traditional with soho red lighting which makes for an atmospheric setting. The walls are clad in mirrors and lots of posters and artworks of artists and bands that have played this pub. At the back of the bar is the music room and stage. . The beer line up was straight up and full of familiar favourites, this makes ordering a pint easy when it’s busy. I had a Moretti, it was a good pint but expensive. . I arrived just after 4pm on a Saturday and the atmosphere was buzzing. The pub was busy with lots of oldschool Shinheads smartly dressed in their check shirts, Fred Perry’s and the odd crombie. I got chatting to a friendly Geordie fella who used to be a Skin, he works and lives in West London a couple of weeks a month. I asked him why he drinks here and he said that people talk to each other in this pub whether they know each other or not. . The @dublincastlecamden is a great place to come for a drink whether you’re here for the music or not. With the exception of the Khazi’s I couldn’t fault this place. Definitely worth a visit, you never know you might see the next big thing. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 10/12/22
Response: Thank you for your review. Yes it's £6.90 for a pint but unlike the vast majority of other bars who DO NOT pay the minimum wage. We choose to pay our lowest paid employee at least The London Living Wage. Also those wonderful red lights run on electricity and the utility costs have soared. Our DJs continue to be free entry after 11pm and we pay for security door staff also. Lets not forget it's a 200 year old building so we have lots of maintenance. The Khazi gets very well used and is tired but it's not the worst in Camden. Hence an extra few bob goes onto a pint. The Conlon family got here in 1974 not 1979. I remember, I was 7 years old. Thank you for your review. Thank you for the 5 stars too x

Robert Johnson: Nice pub, the first pint I had was not nice but went onto the Beaverton which was a good pint. Great music on the juke box as well.Nice music decor as well

Tom Cowley: Proper Camden Town Pub rich with local history. Still a place to go for a decent pint of Guinness. Live music venue in the back and lively mixed crowd on weekends.

joe division: Great place to grab beer and listen to live music.
