UK Beauty Schools (London Beauty Training School): what do users think?

jenny demetrios: This is my 2nd course with UK beauty schools.Just finished my bridal hair course with Laura. I had a fantastic day and really enjoyed myself . She was very helpful and gave great insider knowledge and tips. Will definitely look a future courses. Thanks again !

Dina London: Absolutely flabbergasted !!!! bad start from day dot! my kit came late, and top it all off , when i contacted the UK BEAUTY SCHOOL about this, they were so rude ! So then finally booking another day, i went to the course. The course is unprofessional, just a ready dead low beat vibe, ! didnt like it at all! been bad from start to finish! Avoid at all costs!

Alis Pruul: The teacher (Teresa) was very nice and very thorough. I got the warm wax course and I really enjoyed it, we even touched in a little bit on the hot wax so very educational for sure! I would definitely look to book my next course with them.

FRAME ME BABY: Loved this course! I did Luxury manicure and the teacher was fantastic and because the classes are small we had a lot of one-on-one time. I’ve already booked my next course!

Tara Salehi: I booked a session in advance, the test patch kit arrived damaged and after the course date. The manager in charge is very rude and unhelpful and does not respond. days were missed to wait for the package and time was taken off work for the course. They are very unorganised and unhelpful! avoid.

London College of Beauty Therapy: what do users think?

Adriana Gadeikyte: I have studied at LCBT for the past 4 years! I have had the most amazing lecturer -Vivien ! she is truly the best teacher I could have asked for, taught me through step by step every module briefly to my best understanding and has helped me to gain the knowledge and confidence in passing all of my exams to the best ability ! I definitely recommend this college and especially lecturer Vivien! She is the most professional and welcoming teacher you could ask for .

Mya Francescaprentice: I’ve been attending LCBT for about 6 months and it’s been an amazing experience. My tutor Dionne gave us a breakdown of what the course will cover and what to expect with Level 3 Beauty Therapy certification. She went into detail and depth about electrical facials, electrical body treatment and more. She opened ours eye to all the things we could do and to all the opportunity’s that’s out there waiting for us. She always told us not to limit ourself and to believe in yourself. I kid you not, Dionne is phenomenal. The course got hard at times but she was there being supportive, seriously encouraging and so patient. Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better tutor she made the whole experience wonderful and fun to learn. Dionne is one of the best tutors out there.
Response: Hi Mya, Wow thank you soo much for this lovely review! Dionne's smile will be beaming from ear to ear. We do pride ourselves on the greatness of all our staff, they are all very driven to make sure you have the best experience ever and to unlock your true potential, I will pass on all your praise and please keep us updated on what you are up to, we love to follow a students journey through to their career and beyond. Have a great day

RichandEv “RichandEv2023” A: I am so grateful I came to this college. I studied ITEC in Beauty Therapy and my lecturer was Lisa Parris. She was remarkable, very professional, precise with the techniques and on point with appearance. I learnt so much in such a short space of time with her and can gladly say I passed my course, in fact the entire class did. All the teachers are lovely there, Viv who has a wonderful banter, Alex who is lovely and calm by nature Sophie who was so supportive, just to mention a few. I would like to say, Lisa thank you, you made this experience wonderful for me and your hard work will never be overlooked. Evelyn
Response: I have spoken to the lecturers and they are so thrilled that you have mentioned them. They love their job and seeing students like you achieve their true potential and so much more. Please keep us updated on your progress, it would be lovely to hear x

winnie: Studied Level 2 & level 3 Beauty Therapy with lecturer Dionne, she was an amazing teacher, super understanding and a vast knowledge of the beauty industry. She made every class a fun experience.

Aheda Alsayed: I had great experience in LCBT in level 4 Aesthetic Practice course , i am so grateful to be student in LCBT college and I’m so lucky to have a helpful and gorgeous tutor like Vivien

Belle Skelton: Really enjoyed my time studying at LCBT with lecturer Lauren (hair and media makeup.) I learned so much over the duration of my course and it was definitely worth the over an hour commute for such a good service. Also, the college in in a great location, easy access to oxford street which was perfect for breaks :)
Response: Ive been told it was a pleasure to nurture your talent and see how much you have achieved, we are sure your future is bright! Please keep in contact and let us know how you are doing x

Joy Star: I have been studying here for the past 4 months and it has been exceptional. We firstly done our Induction with Vivianne and she is very knowledgeable. Giving us a breakdown of what the course will cover and what is to expect with a level 3 Beauty Therapy certification. She also made us open our eyes further on things we can do as there are many things that we can do and we shouldn’t limit ourselves. Then our tutor Charlotte took over and she has truly been an angel also. Teaching us in detail and depth about electrical facial treatments and Body treatments like massages. Not only has the course so far been fun but also extremely educational. Teaching in such a crazy time must be hard but they both do it so well. This course so far has been incredible.... I will give my final analysis as soon as I am done in November. :) •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• As I said I will give my final analysis about the school as soon as I finish. I know this is coming a bit late as I finished in November and we’re now in February lol. So how can I put this in smaller terms; the teachers make up the school. Funny enough after Charlotte took over and taught us many insightful things (by the way Charlotte is fabulous) she taught us for a few months. And when we were just about finish I will say 2months into us finishing they changed our tutor again, which was so frustrating as Charlotte knew how we all learnt and loved to be taught. So I was a bit sceptical and I’m very vocal about how I’m feeling. I messaged Sophie and voiced my concerns on how they’re changing my lecturers AGAIN and my timetables for the 11th time. She responded and said if your education isn’t being kept up to the standard that you started that I should email her once I’ve completed everything. My class was then introduced to another tutor called Ursula; I kid you not, Ursula is phenomenal she really took charge straight away reassuring us everything will be okay and stayed on top of all our work making sure we were signing treatments off and completing consultations. In all I can say to you is that; the institution is a bit disarray but the lecturers and staff make up for it. Yes your timetables may change 70 times (exaggerated lol) especially when you finally get used to it. But the staff members make up for it by helping you locate your class. Yes your tutor/ lecturer may change 30 times over but every lecturer I have met in LCBT are wonderful Vivien, Charlotte, Ursula, Sarah, Ruth, Pauline, Camille I think that’s her name. They’re all wonderful and also you have an amazing individual helping them out ALEXIS. She literally keeps everything afloat. You’re greeted by amazing women at reception daily. You have the cleaners who help you out; Even the security guard Nkechi. I guess what I’m trying to say is this; focus on what you’re there to do and you will gain experiences for a lifetime. Also it’s the teachers and staff that make going LCBT great. The only issues are it’s a bit disoriented when it comes to the organisation of the courses and classes, which can frustrate you; but you can never let that get the best of you or what you’re there to achieve :)
Response: Hi Joy, what a wonderful review! we do pride ourselves on making sure that we provide our students with everything they need to make it big in the industry. We are always happy to help, keep up the good work :)

Jess Wibberley: I started my course on the 13th of September 2021 and am studying Level 4 advanced theatrical media make-up and hair. I have learnt so much so far in the space of three weeks being here such as: live casting, moulding, sculpting, how to create a silicone prosthetic and also adding colour to them too. I am thoroughly enjoying the course as its a fun, calm environment to work in with lots of support and guidance. The resources we use in class are of good quality and kept in good condition. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone with an interest for theatre makeup and prosthetics.

yasmine sahar: After attending the 3day Afro-styling course I have so much knowledge and feel so secure in working with textured hair in my work as a hairstylist and makeup artist. Thank you for a magical 3 days at the studio with such a brilliant group of industry professionals and you have equally inspired us with your love & passion for what you do! Love, Martin & Kevin

Philip Carson-Sheard: Absolutely loved the 2 day course I attended. Kevin is great and failure is not an option due to his fun but firm teaching style. So much was packed in and I truly got out of the course exactly what I needed. Of course it’s all down to practice practice practice now and I will be cracking out my dolly head at every opportunity. I am good at many things but braiding was never one of them. I tried over the years with people showing me. Never really got it until Kevin. He makes perfect sense and really takes everything down the the basic basics and builds you up from there. Highly recommend a visit and I promise you won’t be sorry.

East London Beauty Academy: what do users think?

Charn Bansal: I thoroughly enjoyed working with Cynthia who tutored me through two VTCT accreditations through the pandemic. She was always super professional, polite and patient given we were studying through a pandemic and were all finding our way through it. I’m so grateful for her and to the academy and can’t wait to start my next course with them. Thank you Cynthia.

Beverly Green: Having just completed a course at ELBA (Body Treatments Level 3 International Diploma) I can honestly say I have had a great learning experience at this beauty academy. I have studied at many places before and this is by far the best college I have studied at. Staff were very helpful (Cynthia was very patient, knowledgeable and explained things well), the college was always clean and tidy and the college is in a good accessible location for me. I WILL be returning to do my international Diploma in laser and light treatments level 4. If you are serious about a career in beauty I highly recommend!!!

Marie France Pruvost: Really enjoyed doing level 2 and 3. The owners of the school are very professional but also human at the same time. The course is quite intense as it is a lot of theory and practice, but they make it sure you leave their school with the proper practice and understanding of this industry. I am doing my level 4 with them , and I will come back to visit them as they know a lot about the industry and they are friendly. long life to ELBA !!!
Response: Thank you Marie for your feedback on your experience at East London Beauty Academy. It is a real pleasure to have students who are willing to study and participate fully in their course and have a full understanding of the commitment required to become a successful therapist in the beauty industry. It is inspiring having you as a student at our college.

Birva Patel: I came to this college because I was recommended by my friend who is also studying at this college. I am studying NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy. I have found this college to be very good. The Principal and teachers and Staff are very supportive and very helpful to the students. I am really satisfied with college and would recommend this college to anyone. Thanks East London Beauty Academy

Angela: I took L2 hairdressing course in this college , that has became the worst learning experience in my life. Overall teaching is very unprofessional, I bought L2 hairdressing book myself and passed all online tests. But the classroom is never available for me to finish my course. I have wasted a lot of money and time on this course. They should refund my money back. I would not recommend anyone to take hairdressing course in this college.
Response: In response to your comment made on the 25th December 2017 regarding your hairdressing course. You enrolled on the Hairdressing course in October 2015 approximately 2 years ago and did not complete because you failed your practical assessment. You were then placed with the new hairdressing intake group to complete your assessment. However, you caused disruption within the second group, and was then given a verbal warning and since then you did not attend the academy to complete your practical assessments. Several of the other students within the group successfully completed and have received their certificates. Since 2015 ELBA has had 2 successful hairdressing groups with numerous of students completing the course. If students choose not to attend the course for some unknown reason, we can only presume they had a change of circumstance and will contact Academy in due time. ELBA policy is displayed quite clearly on the website, if a student is not happy with the service or the results received during the practical assessments they are most welcome to contact student support team where 99% of students complaints are resolved, you did not choose this route. We are happy to hear that you have passed your level 2 Hairdressing qualification, we wish you the best of luck for the future. You can contact the Academy if you would like to discuss this matter further. Thank you! Student Support Team at ELBA

Justine Joelle James: I have just completed my year-long studies at ELBA, where I completed my Level 2 Diploma for Beauty Specialists, Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Beauty Therapy, Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Skincare and finally my CIDESCO qualification which I finished (successfully) on Tuesday! Hoorah! I am SO grateful to everyone at East London Beauty Academy for helping me to achieve my qualifications, but also for their care and generosity during my time with them; Cynthia and Cliff constantly went above and beyond the call of duty for me, from giving me insightful tips regarding diet and lifestyle, to helping me get not one, but TWO jobs during my time with them. (They quite literally called the salon/clinic and arranged the interviews for me!) I also worked in their salon 2/3 days a week, and it is my belief that this opportunity to gain salon experience was a pivotal factor during my exams (particularly CIDESCO). I loved working with Cynthia and Cliff, and hope to keep in touch with both of them as I embark on my beauty career. (I know they will continue to help me if I ever have any questions; Cynthia has been in the business for about 30 years, and together they are a powerful knowledge tool!) I cannot speak highly enough of Lindsey who taught me during my Level 3; she is knowledgeable and passionate about the beauty industry, and her patience is second to none. Satvinder, who saw me through my CIDESCO qualification is of the same ilk; wholly knowledge in all things beauty, and her desire to help you achieve is remarkable. (Satvinder even took it upon herself to locate products and tools from outside suppliers that we needed for our exams!) Leanna also teaches and helps around the college and salon, and again is a well-informed beautician, and a particularly lovely lady! My advice for anyone wishing to study at East London Beauty Academy is to be prepared to study! Cynthia, Cliff and the staff will give you their time and the knowledge you need to succeed, but if you are not willing to put in a similar effort and study in your own time you cannot hope to get the best possible results. If you are passionate about beauty, hard working and open-minded, ELBA will be a good choice for you. The classes are small, and the teaching and help on offer goes beyond the boundaries of beauty. Thank you very much ELBA. I will miss you.

London School of Beauty & Makeup: what do users think?

Aras Sara: I saw the ad of this school on Facebook and thought to give it a try. London school of beauty is a place where students learn and apply their learning in a salon which is downstairs in their school which offers some amazing discounted treatment. Their customer care and skills are amazing. All phone calls will be answered promptly and they will call you back if you could not reach them without even leaving a voice mail which is really amazing! I have been to this place like 4 times so far and has tried their different facials, pedicure, waxing in which I love the deep cleansing facial so far which cost me only £20. The only downside are their bathrooms which are heavily used, small and can be cleaned and improved From the receptionist Ruby, who is always welcoming, chatty and sweet, their tutors and Lauren, who do sometimes email for model appointments, are all welcoming and warm. Will I go again? Absolutely!
Response: Hi Aras, Thank you so much for the lovely and in-depth review, we're so grateful you took the time to recommend our student salon! We can't wait to welcome you back in the future for more beauty treatments. The LSBM Team x

T Joulakh: Rachel hicks (our teacher) has been incredibly supportive throughout the facial course she is extremely attentive to everyone of her students! Extremely knowledgeable and has a very natural flair of teaching. Huge credit to you Rachel, I will always remember you ❤
Response: Hi T, Rachel is so touched by this lovely review and found you a pleasure to teach! Thank you for this wonderful review, and we're happy you enjoyed your time with us. Please keep us up to date on what we're sure will be a successful career in the beauty industry. The LSBM Team x

Alison Hammond: I have just completed the CIDESCO International Beauty Therapy Diploma at LSBM this week. The year long course has been intense, but it has been worth it and I am looking forward to working in the industry. My teachers Trisha and Nira have been brilliant throughout and have been so inspirational and supportive. Trisha is an international CIDESCO examiner so you knew that you were going to be taught to the highest standard and that you were going to be well prepared for the exams. Nira has so much knowledge, enthusiasm and experiences of so many different treatments and therapies. They have both done so much within the industry and their enthusiasm for sharing their knowledge was amazing and as a result I enjoyed every part of the course! I did quite a bit of research before I booked my course to make sure I picked the best course for me at the right school as this was a complete change of career for me and I am so glad I picked LSBM! All the other teachers and those in the office are also really nice and friendly too!

Sharon Bleriot: Been a student here for 6 months I’ve had the most amazing teachers Rachel Krisztina and Belgin amazing teachers very supportive and helpful. Sana and Ruby have been amazing, supportive and friendly, best college ever.
Response: Hi Sharon, Thank you for taking the time to leave this kind review. Rachel, Krisztina and Belgin are just some of the outstanding and experienced tutors we have at LSBM. They are highly professional and committed to passing their beauty knowledge, and experience to their students, which we're glad came through on your course. Thank you for considering us the best college ever! The LSBM Team x

Zarah C: Firstly, I just want to say what an incredible learning experience this had been! I completed my L2 & L3 skincare & facial course and L4 laser course and I LOVED IT! I can’t believe how much I learnt, the confidence I gained and the skills I now hold. The communication from the beginning was great, the school and the structure of the course is very well organised. I felt the school was really welcoming with a ‘family’ feel to it. A school that welcomes all people from all backgrounds and ages, with staff being adaptable to suit our needs to ensure we all learn and achieve. I can’t fault the staff and I believe it’s the team here that make this school successful and the learning experience so amazing. Krisztina was my teacher and she has literally made me LOVE learning again! She’s truly inspirational. A kind, approachable, very knowledgable teacher who made time for us all and held such high standards throughout. I learnt so much from her and her standards which I now uphold in my own business. I think she’s an amazing teacher and I thank her for everything she has taught me. Lauren, the manager, is cheerful and supportive. During my first two weeks I spoke with her about feeling anxious with examinations and she soon put my mind at ease and gave me the reassurance I needed. She is very efficient and ensures the school runs smoothly and that the students are always happy. Belgin was the manager in the spa who I have had the pleasure to work with during my last two weeks of the course. Again, her high standards, organisation and expertise has taught me so much and I now have the confidence and skills to work on clients. The spa experience has been great, allowing students to complete treatments on paying clients. This has made a huge difference to my confidence. On day one I felt so nervous and now I feel like I’ve been in the industry years! I can’t thank this school enough for the experience I’ve had and for everything I have learnt. It’s was amazing! Since leaving the school and gaining the qualifications, I have since opened my own laser skin clinic specialising in hair removal, tattoo removal and advanced skin treatments. If it hadn’t of been for this school I wouldn’t of been able to pursue my passion and open my own business which has been successful from the beginning. Due to my experience at this school it really motivated me to pursue this career. Had the teaching or experience been poor, I may of had a complete change of mind with my career so I am thankful to LSBM for everything they have given me and for where I am now :) I would highly recommend this school, there’s no need to look anywhere else! They are the best!! I am from the West Midlands and could of completed my qualifications in a school closer to home but I wanted to attend the best school there was and I am so glad I did. The travelling was so worth it and I made the best decision ever attending here :) Thank you so much!!

goda lukauskaite: Unfortunately salon on site is not up to scratch. Booked gel pedicure although it was relatively cheap £20.00 it wasn’t a pedicure, no cuticles removed, no proper shape of nails, absolutely no removal of harden skin around the feet or nails. “Gel” is peeling already after 2 days. To be honest would have done better job myself. Don’t waste your money 🙁
Response: Hi Goda, Thank you for your review We are very sorry you didn't receive the high standard of services we offer. Please could you email admin@beauty-school.co.uk so we can rectify the situation We look forward to hearing from you, have a lovely day :) LSBM Team x

dawn may: I had a wonderful time at LSBM as a Level 2 Beauty Therapy Student. I cant say enough about my tutors Daniella and Belgin who shared their skills and knowledge to the highest standard required in the beauty industry. Their patience, support and encouragement I truly appreciated and I look forward to continuing my studies at LSBM. This is the Beauty school for me! THANK YOU
Response: Hi Dawn Congratulations on completing your Level 2 Beauty Therapy course, we're so glad to hear you enjoyed the course! Daniella and Belgin are amazing tutors. We can't wait to have back in school for your Level 3 course :) The LSBM Team x

Olamide Aiyeola: I had a good experience at this college. Rachel the teacher was very knowledgeable and patient with the whole class. We were given freedom to ask questions and have discussions about skin outside the syllabus The only issue I had was that microdermabrasion isn’t part of their curriculum for the level 2 and 3 3 combined facial course and they have other treatments that aren’t as popular on the market in their curriculum. But other than that I enjoyed, I leaned a lot and met some good people
Response: Hi Olamide, Thank you for your review and we're glad that you enjoyed your time with us on the VTCT Level 2 & 3 Combined Facials and Skincare course. The microdermabrasion is a separate qualification as mandated by the VTCT but your feedback does mean a lot, and we will be sure to pass this on. We wish you all the best on your facial and skin care journey. The LSBM Team x

Sassoon Academy: what do users think?

Rebekkah Dooley: I had such a good experience here - Jamie and Alan (I think that’s his name!) were lovely. My hairdresser, Rory, was only there for a 2 day course but he was SO GOOD and lovely. Paid £35 for a 10/10 balayage that would have cost me £280 elsewhere.

Summer 28: Bouncing on the previous comments that there is actually NO ONE working at reception & picking up the phone - no matter what time of the day you are calling. Cannot book an appointment or talk to someone, complete slackers. Terrible for the Sassoon brand

KK: Rude, racist and unprofessional staff here - having asked your name and phone number and never booking you in for the time slot after confirmation and skin test. Complete waste of time talking to the front desk, not to say they try their best to blame you and teach you a lesson.

jasmine: I’ve been going here for a bit over 3 years now for the model haircuts and they’ve always been amazing.

Question Everything: It is a lovely experience. I went for an inverted Bob on wavy hair. I had a very skilled Chinese student to take care of me and he did a fab job. From what I saw, all students seem to be already very competent and the teachers are checking every step of the cut. Be prepared to stay about 3 hours, but it is really worth your time. There is a beautiful energy there and I will definitely renew the experience.

Oneli Kariyawasam: Megan was the student who looked after me and she did a really wonderful job. Silvia was supervising the whole time and I walked out with a beautiful cut+ blow dry! Thank you both again!!

Alan d Hairdressing Education: what do users think?

Amanda Kelly: My first haircut here since we were all sent to work from home when the first lockdown happened! I am delighted with my chic new bob (a difficult haircut to get right!) and the service the salon gave. My hairstylist was initially shy but we chatted and her assessor gave her lots of encouragement and included me in the conversations. I can’t believe I got this new style for free! Over the last two years I have paid considerable sums and have not had such careful attention to getting the style right! Thank you, I will be back 😄
Response: Thank you so much for your lovely review. We’re glad you love your haircut. How to see you very soon.

juliana juliana: HORRIBLE. The worst hairdresser possible. Wish I could give 0 stars. DO NOT LOSE YOUR MONEY in this place. The service is horrible. The manager and the woman in the reception are the rudest and most disrespectful and disgusting people I ever met. I asked them to fix my hair and they refused and I asked for my money back then they refused again. The manager then literally pushed me to the wall, damaging my phone and they laughed, which led me to call the police. Their behaviour was unacceptable. He should be arrested and this toxic place closed. That man is a monster. Services: Balayage , Hair coloring , Hair highlighting , Blowdry , Hairstyling , Blowouts
Response: As you have carried this on publicly we have responded to your next comment.

May chan: I had an hair cut at Alan D Hairdressing Education at Farringdon, London yesterday. I have a long hair of 8-9” beneath my shoulder. I’d like to have a short Bob style. This is in fact a great challenge to the hair dresser to have such a big cut that turns a different look at all. The trainee Miss Natalie Brydon took up this task. She is a young and beautiful lady. She told me steps of how she would manage and paid intensive attention to every section and each cutting details etc. She was also so delicated and careful to measure hairs’ length and the overall appearance. Her Educator, a very well experienced lady who always came to check Natalie’s progress and she also showed technical skills to ensure hairs were cut in good uniform order and looks lively in overall shape etc. The delicated working attitude of Natalie and the PROFESSIONAL advice and handful HELP of the Educator made a magic on my hair style at last. Now, I’ve a short Bob which I look 20 years younger than before. A very impressive hair cut in this prestige hairdressing school. During my stay in the School Salon, I noticed that the working relationship between trainees and Educators/Tutors are EXCELLENT. Every trainee would receive close guidance from their respective Educator and therefore the trainee will have more confidence in different tasks of hairdressing. I GREATLY RECOMMEND young people to join this PROFESSION by attending courses in this SCHOOL which provides various training level (from foundation to master-level class) that the students will receive a comprehensive training under expert supervision. And, there are lots of chances for student to have practical trainings on every aspect in scope of hair dressing including cutting, waving, coloring and hair treatment etc. In addition, the trainees will constantly improve their skills under the coaching of well-experienced tutors there. Overall, I’ll give hundreds of FIVR STARS to the service performance of this Alan D Hairdressing Education. Service: Hairstyling
Response: Thank you so much for your lovely review. Our Team & students work very hard and to receive a review like this makes it all worthwhile. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

juliana juliana: In response to your previous accusation: How absurd is this. Now you are defaming me. What you accused me of before is a lie. You are talking about another person’s incident. I am not surprised you got involved in more. The cameras can prove it. I called the police and they know that. Stop with this lunacy. You should have said sorry for attacking customers instead you are libeling me and offending me again. This just proved the character of you and the business. Service: Hair highlighting

Sanjeeda Begum: I went to this place today to get my haircut and absolutely loved the results. Kealla was so lovely and her service was amazing. She exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond. I’d rate this place 10/10Service: Hairstyling
Response: Thank you so much for your lovely review. We look forward to welcoming you again very soon.

Sara Edwardson: I attended the appointment on the 10th of March with Sibel and Jay who did a balayage on me. I love it so much the colour came out amazing😍My hair feels so much nicer and healthier and I will definitely be coming back for my top up with them. I highly recommend this place to get your hair done ladies!
Response: Thanks so much for your kind review. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

svatava karasova: Had a really nice haircut fro this male student. Looked greatService: Hairstyling

Amy Avent: I had half a head of highlights and a toner done here and love the results. Melissa was really professional, precise and took her time to ensure the result was perfect!

Jess Bodé: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueI was assigned Radi as my stylist and she did an amazing job, I was initially a little worried about having my hair cut by an apprentice but she was so professional and gave me lots of advice about how to look after my hair type and I was really pleased with the results of the haircut :)

Rachel Darragh: Today I witnessed first hand how not to train hairdressers. To call themselves a training academy is a joke. No structure, no guidance, no ensuring the clinic is happy or the trainee. Instead I witnessed a very rough handed dictatorship! He barked at everyone, he did not lead or set an example, the trainee was trying her best to seek guidance but I could sense she was scared to seek help from him, instead another instructor took her time to assess my hair, explain to the trainee and give encouragement. I was there from 9.30 to 15.00 and still walked out with roots, no fault to the trainee that was doing my hair, I feel she has been truly let down by her trainer and he should maybe do a course on how to treat clients and teaching techniques.

sonia berachi: I went to LHAA wanting to colour my hair a shade warmer than my natural colour, Holly (who is the lovely student who coloured my hair), patiently helped me in choosing the exact shade of brown I wanted for my hair. I really appreciate the fact that Holly ,who is still learning ,wasn’t comfortable in cutting my big curly hair and asked her teacher Aisha( I hope I got the name right🤓)to take over... I would like to take this opportunity to thank Aisha for the amazing hair cut, and Holly for colouring my hair. Because of you two I went back to the office feeling like a Super 💫....

Svitlana Midianko: Amazing place! Chloe (level 2) today did one of the best cuts I have had but had! The vibe is very pleasant and tutors are present

Ruby B: Would not recommend at all. I waited 30 mins to be seen after coming on time for my appointment. It’s not clean at all, all the chairs and surroundings are dirty- no covid complaint. The sink that was used to wash my hair ended up being blocked half way through and to top it off the chair didn’t go high enough when cutting my hair so I got my hair cut standing up. The most ridiculous thing. So unprofessional would rather go to a quality hairdressers and pay more money

Evgenia Drini: The result was fantastic, exactly what I wanted. The trainee hairdresser, Emmanuel, was polite and the trainer was supervising him appropriately. The space could be better, but again, it is an academy, not a saloon.

Don Findlay: I went to be a model for someone doing their exam. She wanted to balayage. I don’t know what she has done. I Paid for the service my hair is burnt it’s disgusting I can’t even look in the mirror. The tutors face said it all When she was looking throu it I in bits over this!!

Anna Theo: LHAA has been a great opportunity for me to begin my career in the hairdressersing industry. They are a well established and wonderful team of professional teachers in the hair industry. I recommend this apprenticeship on a high level of praise.

Lizzie Richt: Had my hair cut by James today, he knew exactly what he was doing and was very professional. The supervisor/teacher was really attentive as well and made me feel at ease throughout. My hair looks great and I will definitely be returning.

Vanda Galazka: I came to the Academy as a model for a cut and colour. My hair was very well cut, conditioned and coloured. The receptionist and the students were friendly. Simon, the tutor who supervised the hair cut was fabulous and put one at ease. However, Jeremy, the tutor running the colour class was complaining about my hair type to another person. After the class he told me that my hair was horrible, it was colour resistent, it was difficult to cut and colour. He then proceeded to tell me that the hair cut was horrible. I said something back to him and he ran off. This guy is definitely not a good advert to the Academy and spoils the good feeling that the others work hard to achieve.

Kelly McClarey: Just had an amazing colour and cut by the incredible Stephanie Elliott! I have had my hair highlighted for a long long time and by far Steph has been the best. The colour is amazing and such a great tone as well, so happy with the results and would recommend Steph to everyone, thank you xX

Kayleigh Jane: An amazing academy. I was a demo model for Andy and I’m extremely happy with my new hairstyle. All staff are fantastic and made me feel really comfortable. Definitely recommend

Charlie Moss: Had my hair done today by the wonderful sessily ??an amazing lady whom i shall be going to from now on to get my hair done the teacher was also very sweet would definitely return :)

eimear oreilly: I got my hair done here a few weeks ago. They absolutely screwed it up (see photo).I ended up getting it redone in London hair academy who are amazing.

The Beauty Academy London Kings Cross: what do users think?

Alexis Harris: I have completed all of my courses with the beauty academy at kings cross.Every tutor I have ever been taught by has been extremely kind and helpful.I couldn’t recommend this academy and it’s courses enough.
Response: Thank you Alexis for such a wonderful review, we really appreciate you taking time to share your feedback. We would love to welcome you again very soon for more courses. Do get in touch with our Support Team if you have any questions or need any guidance as you begin to put your new skills into action. Many thanks - The Beauty Academy

Enchanted Nails: So paying nearly £2000 for level 3 nail technology course isn’t enough. And sending your portfolio to the academy using your own money still isn’t enough, they ask an additional £25 if you want it sent back. Disgusting. It’s your work but they have the audacity to ask for £25.
Response: Hi, we are sorry to receive this feedback. We're unable to locate your details on our system to contact you directly regarding this unfortunately. The coursework requirements, including presentation for the practical coursework are set by the awarding body VTCT so beyond our control and must demonstrate professional standards to be accepted. We do give comprehensive guidance for every step of the VTCT courses on our online student portal and also have an in-house support team available to you throughout your studies to answer any queries prior to submission of any coursework. It sounds as if the work may have been submitted either incomplete or incorrect in format or presentation to allow us to accept this towards your VTCT course without amendment. There is cost involved in returning work to students for such amendment, this is outlined in our terms and conditions very clearly on our website, student portal and throughout the coursework materials. Upon completion of the VTCT courses, portfolios must be retained in line with awarding body required process and once released, can be returned to students if they require (subject simply to the courier cost of £25, given it is usually a sizeable and heavy folder of work) or is disposed of securely at our cost through confidential waste. Given that most students will not have use for the portfolio of coursework once qualified and certificated, most students are happy for this to be disposed off securely. Our course fees are certainly very competitive given the level of high quality training, support, access to our online portal throughout and accredited status with our course certificates. We are sorry to hear you are unhappy with our policies, as a business we must cover our costs but do give clear information and options to our students (to keep optional, add-on costs minimal) so that this is clear, even before enrolment. Many thanks - The Beauty Academy

Gemma Pruden: Amazing massage course. Kerry is an amazing trainer. I would highly recommend her and will be booking more courses with this company (and hopefully her) in the near future !!

Shiloh Birmingham: I had a teacher called MAJELLA, she was absolutely excellent, I wish she would teach all my courses. I found that the course notes were a bit out dated but that wasn’t her fault, so she gave us all the extra knowledge that we needed
Response: Hi Shiloh, thank you for your review. We're pleased to hear you've enjoyed your training experience and hope we welcome you again soon for further courses! Many thanks - The Beauty Academy

Gina Conway Academy: what do users think?

Katie Higginbotham: Love love love the results....having spent 1 year growing out my over processed hair, the students and educators produced an amazing result. My trainee paid attention to detail and was enthusiastic during the whole process. A couple of full head lightening treatments and a blend of toners left me feel fully freshened up. Great team and great results...... I will be back for my next colour treatment. Thank you all so much

Una Carney: I had the most amazing pregnancy massage with Mary at Gina Conway. Possibly the best massage of my life, but that could just be I really needed it. Anyway highly recommend. I’m going back for another one!

RecruitmentGC Account: I had my hair done and though it took a little longer than a normal appointment, the standard and service was AMAZING! You could tell that they have very high standards and expectations for their students.

Maureen Mooney: Amazing cut and blow dry. Students day is Monday cost only £10. Very friendly staff. Social distance adhered to at all times.
