The British Museum: what do users think?

Yahya Vali: Excellent experience. Beautiful place outside and inside. Many interesting collections. Enough to do here for a whole day.. Download the app and you have your personal audio guide for all the exhibits throughout the museum. Food and drink is sold on site, and a nice gift shop to get yourself a memoir.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …More

steven lim: Our third museum visit on the same day. This was always our go to museum on past visits to London. There is so much to learn and rediscover here, and we love the Assyrian and Egyptian exhibits. Also, the huge covered roof creates such a wonderful place, with the two cafe dining areas bookending the souvenir store. The reading room upstairs is also a must visit. Entrance is free but you need to book your date and time online in advance.

Bernadette Riley: Such an amazing museum! You could spend a day here, there is so much to see. The line was down the street around the corner, however it moved pretty fast. You have to go through security but this process was quick. I thoroughly enjoyed the Egyptian displays, it was so fascinating reading the information panels. There were shops and cafes as well.

Hamidreza Ashrafi: A very large place with a variety of historical monuments. I expected to spend 4 hours seeing the whole museum, but it did not happen. I will go at least another full day at the next opportunity. There were some special historical works from the region of Iran that I had read in textbooks before. But I was able to read more closely and patiently. Be sure to enter to see this place with planning and purpose.

Khandker Saadiqul Quader: A great museum with an ocean of history, culture and art dating back to the early days of human civilization and extending to modern era. This is a museum that will take good number of hours to explore and have good understanding of the collection of historical works and items. A whole day will be suggested to tour the entire museum. There is no ticket to enter the museum, however, the souvenirs in the shops seemed expensive to me. I had a sole 3+ hours in the museum today but i will go back some day again in future to get a decent souvenir and keep in my collection.

Barbara Aglago: Free of charge to the public. However if you are going to be a regular customer wanting to go deep further into history, then you might want to subscribe for membership which comes with a cost. The Museum is massive with a lot to see and explore. At minimum 2 hours is needed. There is Canteen on the ground floor and on the first floor, a restaurant. Highly recommended if you are a lover of art and history.

Erick Tseng: So much incredible history under one roof. Definitely one of the greatest collections of art and artifacts in the world. I mean, the Rosetta Stone is here! I would highly recommend a visit for anyone visiting London. Every time I come back to the British Museum, I discover something new and wondrous.

Ouissal Benameur: Amazing views but the terrace is closed if it has been raining so make sure to visit on a sunny day. Public tickets are free and need to be well in advance, in our case we booked them a week in advance. There was a very long line during our visit and it took about 15-25 min for our turn to come. There is a security check at the entrance. The top floor is accessible with an elevator, there are plenty of plants and a few cafes with a variety of snacks, food and drinks.

whycke spence: A busy place. Lots of tourists, efficient security. Many people forget to book in advance for the free public tickets. Super fast elevator to the 35th floor viewing gallery. Awesome views of London labs are and buildings. The bars offers a nice range of drinks . There are seats so you can bring your own snacks. Good wheelchair access and restrooms. Refreshing plantings. Time well spent.

Francis XIV: Incredible views from this place. I highly recommend going. U can reserve your ticket in time for free, or on days where the traffic there is light they accept walk ins which is what I did. Really worth going there tho, it’s free and offers 360 views of London. You’ll see the Tower of London and St Paul’s cathedral amongst other famous landmarks.

Paul McGarry: Amazing views, I was a bit perturbed by the book ahead system. There was no availability at all. However they are also set for walk ups and it was super quick. There is zero not to like except for the cost of the drinks. But it was superb. The views were breathtaking.

Denise McGuirk: Fantastic spot, we booked the free tickets online and very efficient system. 360° Views are fabulous and well laid out in tiered style to make the most of the planting. Various priced food options available. Well worth a visit and save the ridiculous entrance fee to the Shard with same view.

hila: An impressive place, the museum is enormous and you cannot see everything in a couple of hours. My recommendation is to look at the map and select in advance the exhibits that are most appealing to you. The highly popular dinosaur’s exhibit is located at the ground floor and can be busy. I especially like the Earth Treasure’s gallery with magnificent rocks and gems. You can buy the museum activity book for 5p that includes a map and nice explanations and tasks for kids.

Radi Galinova: Another wonderful museum in London! A place to spend a whole day! Astonishing architecture, wonderful collections, kids-friendly place, nice souvenir shops. I found the dinosaur and minerals collections especially fascinating! The curators have done their job brilliantly! The part on volcanoes was really helpful and insightful!Visited on Weekday Wait time Up to 10 min Reservation recommended No …More

Merry Go Round (サトウ): ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Magnificent collections of fossils and bones of dinosaurs and other animals that is been extinct. They have lots of collections of precious natural stones from around the world and even meteorites. You need a whole day to really explore this area. One of the good thing about this museum is free. No Entrance fee needed. But if you like to give donations depends on you.

Katie Thayer: Seen this place on a lot of TV programs over the years and although I have only been to London a few times I never had the chance to go here. I finally had the chance as I was in the area and enjoyed it I love water fountains so really enjoyed the fountains here. I enjoyed seeing the sculptures and monuments here they are really impressive and worth seeing. There is the smallest police station here now used as a council store I wish they had some information here about it. I love the traffic lights with gender symbols on when the green crossing light comes on. This is a great place to visit I hope to come back and spend a bit longer here.

Miriam Amo: It’s a really nice place to go out sightseeing with friends. The fountains looks soo beautiful and just the view itself. It’s nice because you can sit around and chill, chat with friends. There are really nice monuments around that you can see from there.

Ahmed Abbas: I visited Trafalgar Square on my recent trip to London and I was not disappointed. The square is beautiful and there is so much to see and do. The square is also very busy, which I loved. There are plenty of things to keep you busy in Trafalgar Square and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting London.

anthony M: Beautiful place to visit with so much history. The buskers are professional and talented. Nelsons column is grand and the fountains well maintained. Very busy on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Recommended

Yusuf S Mannan: A busy area in the heart of London city. Both tourists and locals flock there. Lots of restaurants nearby. The National Gallery is located here. People sit in the steps and enjoy. Kids also enjoy here. Flock of pigeons visit this place. Nice place to pass some time here.

Gam A: A landmark historical significance with the monuments of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson commemorating the battle of Trafalgar. Unfortunately at my arrival the monuments and water fountains were fenced off but still a great place to sit and soak in the atmosphere.

Cristian Navarro: Great historical place, amazing views and nicest people ever, what more can you ask? Go check it out and see discover its history and importance to the British empire

Victoria and Albert Museum: what do users think?

David Paterson: My first time going here and i can’t believe why I have waited so long. I love everything about this place. Peaceful surrounds in a magnificent setting. Plenty of time to just stroll and really appreciate the exhibits and sculptures etc. Free entry (some exhibitions that you can pay for and which i will come back and do). Nice that there are people dotted throughout sketching etc so its nice to see their perspectives. This would have to be one of my favourite museums in the world.

Orsi Jakab: One of my most favourite museum with spectacular exhibitions, but also lots of free areas to visit. The cafe is gorgeous too serving amazing food, lots of healthy options to choose from. Both indoor and outdoor seating with a little paddling pool in the middle of the enclosed courtyard. A life saver in the summertime during the heath wave.

Raff Tatee: Amazing place 🤩. I love the atmosphere of this museum. Beautiful interiors, stunning exhibitions and exhibits. This is a very good place to de-stress, also spend a nice time with friends or family. The museum is long, you can go back there many times and you will always find something new that will surprise or amaze you. I highly recommend to everyone going to London!

Kamila Simms: A lovely museum with so much to see and learn! I particularly enjoyed the jewels, the British humour section, old furniture and the Japanese section. We paused in the cafeteria for coffee and to listen to the piano played by one of the visitors (inside). On a sunny day I also recommended sitting in the garden where you can admire the lovely design and colours of the building plus children splashing in the paddling pool. Plenty of lifts (some concealed) and benches to sit on. Definitely a whole day visit plus a good choice of special exhibitions.

St Dunstan in the East Church Garden: what do users think?

Tiago Velho: Such a lovely quaint and picturesque church right in the middle of the city! You can take fantastic shots all over and around the church grounds. The lighting on a sunny day is also fantastic. Really relaxing place as well.

Kat B: Beautiful gardens. The original church was destroyed during the Great Fire of London. It is lovely how they kept some of the structure in place. The gardens are busy during the day, so if you want to see it empty, arrive before 9am.

Magdalena Andrzejewska: Stunning place is central London! An amazing atmosphere filled with history, peacefulness and beautiful surroundings. Fantastic treat for photography lovers. Highly recommended to early morning to avoid tourist.

Cain Hands: Would be 5 stars if it wasn’t so busy and riddled with people not only taking selfies but having actual photo set ups in costume 🙄. Such things should be done on allocated times so that it could be a little more peaceful. Go in the right time and it may be quite lovely, but otherwise it’s best to stay away unless you want to be annoyed.

S. Dreg: Nice setting in the City. Church ruins with a little garden. It was a bit empty now in March but I am sure it is pretty in the summer with green trees & flowers. A nice place to sit an sip your coffee.

Tom Ford: Some ruins in the heart of London. Nice to see all the plants here and it is a quiet place to come away from the hussle and bustle of London life. Probably is better on a sunny day, was unfortunately raining when I came.

Chloé Trevisanut: Cute little atypical garden in the center of London, but not so close to the biggest attractions. A real little haven of calm nature in the middle of the excitement of the capital, if you have time.

cedric harper: Fantastic place to visit if your into aviation. Many exhibits of full size aircraft through the ages. Very clean and well laid out with toilets and lifts. Good well stocked shop selling books, toys, flying garments, etc. Could keep you busy for a few hours. Free entry just pay for the car park. Booking essential. Would definitely return when I have more time.

Andrew Frangeskides: Had a great time at the museum. If you like military airplanes and history it’s a must visit. We got a tour about the place with a gentleman called Stephen. He was very knowledgeable and passionate and we got to see a lot of things we would have missed if we went just by ourselves. There was no cues for tickets or in the guest shop and we bought our tickets at the gate. I would suggest you need the whole day to look around if your very interested in the finer details of the displays.

Ian Betteridge: Lovely museum and wonderful to see so many historical aircraft on display. Staff friendly throughout. Despite free entry, no queues to get into the various hangers etc. Great history behind each aircraft. Very educational for children as well. Plenty of car park spaces. Cafe and gift shop a little see on the expensive side.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More

Sandra Garbacz: Must see. Highly recommended. Great day out for the family. Huge museum. Lots to see, lots to learn. My son enjoyed 4D experience of flying with Red Arrows and the flight simulator. He could even seat in one of the aircrafts. Good range of products in the gift shop. Great playground for children.

S Davies: Spent a lovely few hours here with my son, nephew and niece. Everyone really enjoyed the day. Full of all different types of planes really interesting. Brought lunch and ate outside on deck chairs. Would recommend a visit and its free all you need to do is go online on their website and book your visit.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait …More

Ian Harrison: Came here with younger brother as a 15 year old to find it closed on Sundays. 50years later I fulfilled my dream. It was well worth the wait, spotted my name on the Names on a Plane donations wall of contributors. Aircraft from every era, very informative and well presented over multiple hangers. Nice cafe good range of items. Great gift shop.

The Regent's Park: what do users think?

Keluarga Bontanghe: One of the most beautiful park I have ever seen. It is green everywhere. The park is filled with many beautiful trees, flowers, and bushes. This place also provide live to many ducks and gooses. You can enjoy this place in many ways, by feeding the animals here, or by jogging around the track here, or simply by taking your children to enjoy the scenery. Recommended place

Leighton Smith: This park is world class. The location is superb. The park has sprawling fields, exquisite gardens, an open air theatre, water, playing fields, a zoo, impressive playgrounds, places for food/coffee/snacks. Frankly it’s an absurdly excellent park. In terms of amenities offered I don’t think anything in London compares. Whether you have a specific activity in mind or you just want to go for a walk, Regent’s Park is outstanding.

Wayne Gammon: What a great social open space, no cycles allowed. Nice wide footpaths. Sports being played, cricket, football and exercises everywhere you looked.Lots of sculptures and things to see, even managed to see the zoo through the trees and got a glimpse of a feeding camal

Oceana Malika: Huge park with so many different areas to explore. Nice place for couples, children and everyone to visit. Perfect for a run or long walk. Good place for photography. Would recommend Restrooms: Restrooms on site. Dog-friendliness: Spacious park for dogs and handy bins to dispose of doggy bags. Picnic area: You can have a picnic. Lots of benches and also a café with seating.

Katie Dunn: Probably my favorite green space in London. There are so many wonderful corners of the park to explore, whether you’re in the mood for a jog, a place for your kid to play, a leisurely stroll, a romp with your pup, a concert, or to explore the garden and park design. The outdoor theater is a spectacular venue, and the queen’s rose garden is one of my favorite parts. It is beautifully landscaped with careful attention to detail. You’ll find ducks and birds, and other little critters milling about. An overall lovely multi use green space- go enjoy it!

Jorg Dekker: Only really been here before when visiting the Zoo. But the park itself is worth a visit. The Cafe in the centre is nice and chilled with a decent range of options, and good amount of seating indoors and out. Park is obviously very well maintained and the Japanese garden is well worth a quick visit. Our visit was only quick - as we were waiting for an appointment - and then got caught in a heavy shower - but we will definitely go back.

London Wall: what do users think?

Koen: Small, but important! Little tangible evidence of Roman Londinium remains, and though it dwarfs the surrounding buildings, this stretch of city wall is one of the more impressive remnants. The London Wall Walk also starts here.

Matthew Harwood: A fantastic piece of history hidden within the modern architecture of London. It is impressive to see the shear scale of these walls that once surrounded the city.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More

Sarah Ghag: London wall one of the things to see in central London. I use to travel from tower hill station everyday but never noticed it. This is exactly how it looks in the pictures. It’s does have historical significance. It’s very near to Tower Bridge and London Bridge.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More

Mina Art e.U.: I do like the contrasts of London - historic and new - with all kind of forms, materials and colours. London is such a vibrant city. I LOVE IT.Best regards Mina Art e.U.

S Shahriar: It is not a fascinating site compared to the tower of London. Specially the attention the tower gets, however, the remaining part of the wall is a testament of time. Almost for 1800 years it has been standing there. The small section of the remaining wall presented in such a way that one can see the cross section as well as different layers added in course of time by different people. Though it might not look like something huge today but think about the time was build and you will understand its impact.

Tower Bridge: what do users think?

Cassandra P: The Tower Bridge. Now while there’s no cost to cross the bridge I would highly recommend purchasing tickets to go across up top. It’s well worth the steps. If you need to take a lift one is available but seeing the staircases, and all the factual, historical information they give you on the way up makes it all the more worth it. We bought tickets for 13.30 and arrived a bit early, and the staff didn’t mind us getting in the queue. It was a bit long but moved very quickly, again you could take the lift or the stairs we chose the stairs (we were told there’s somewhere around 260 of them). As you walk up the stairs there are posts and placards that tell you all sorts of facts regarding the material that went into the bridge and other fascinating details. The wood creaking stairs only adds to the experience. Once at the top there’s a spot to rest even before going to the upper bridges. You may think the entire upper bridge is “glass bottom” it isn’t, but each side does have a small section where if not to crowded you can even lie down and take a photo. You’ll walk all the way across one, down the other and turn around where then you can decide you next move. Once down the stairs they send you off to the Engine Room which is also included and the gift shop. This alone has been such a worth while part of our visit, I would highly recommend it.

Nivedita Narayan: The beautiful tower bridge. (Tourists often confuse this to be the London bridge.) Well this is a bridge too, and check out the pictures to see how amazing it looks when a big ship passes and the bridge is open. This is one of a kind bridge. To know more about its construction do visit inside the tower bridge. It’s amazing to see vehicles crossing under you. Great tourist spot , walk the bridge to see it in detail. It’s a must do in London!

Kevin B Doherty: Not to expensive - £22.80 approx €26.00 for 2 adults. Very pleasant morning outing. Very informative walkabout with fantastic views from the top. The glass floor on the East and West walkways is a nice addition. Not everyone can stomach the glass floor. Good fun to watch people doing the walk.

Robert Jebakumar.J: Tower Bridge is one of most important attractions in London. There are several excellent views from the Top of Tower Bridge. You can see the road from transparent glass under the feet. Best place to take a lot of pictures. Superb views can be covered in both sides of the Bridge. Also, there is the Engine room which explain how the Bridge opens when a big cruise/ship passes through. In 1952, there was one bus which jumped the bridge.

Museum of London Docklands: what do users think?

Michelle Silke: Great location to learn the history of London docks for an hour or two. Lots of interactive things for kids to do. Ever wondered why streets or stops are called something specific? They have the answers here. Where is the old London Bridge they show you! What is the history behind Canary Wharf and surrounding areas? I found this very enlightening. Currently, the exhibition on the ground floor is London docks, which is very interesting.

Michael Cartwright: It’s a must do if you are in the Docklands area. It’s free to enter but I suggest paying a donation, either cash or contactless. It’s worth doing considering the work gone into the place and the work of the volunteers. It’s interesting place with a good history of the docks and the trades. A lot of reading so you could spend hours there. You might want to time your weekday visits to outside school hours if you want some peace and quiet.

Lily Costa: Amazing museum! Great to get to learn more about the tradings between Britain and the New World and the overseas expeditions. There’s also a room dedicated to African history and the slavery. And the best part, admission is free!

National Maritime Museum: what do users think?

Emine Bir: It is a very big and interesting museum, we didn’t have enough time to see the whole exhibition but enjoyed it very much. I bought a book on the collection from the gift store for a very reasonable price. The building it self and the parks surrounding are very beautiful. People of all ages would enjoy this museum.

Justyna Tarnacka: I am a bit disappointed with the historical exhibition which is modest. It is definitely a good place for families, there are many multimedia solutions. In the afternoon (Good Friday) it was very loud and chaotic. The museum is free so there is nothing to be picky about but I was expecting something more.Visited on Public holiday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …More
Response: Hi Justyna Thank you for your review - Good Friday is always a busy day at the museum and can be quite noisy. Perhaps a second visit at another time? We hope to see you again!

Ngoc Nguyen (MiNgo): Not too crowded even in Saturday afternoon, a lot of knowledge about maritime history provided. After visiting the museum, all families can have a picnic outside in the Greenwich park. It is an amazing experience to have on weekend

Marek Lukáč: Greenwich is just beautiful. Only 15-20 minute train journey from central London. Museum is free ( you can donate). You can easily spend a few hours there. So much to see (Pacific section, Polar section, etc.). My favourite place in London.
