Museum of London: what do users think?

Lucie Kellerman: It was fantastic! With 5, 7 and 10 years old... I highly recommend on a rainy day. We spent about 3 hours but could probably spend another hour if the little one didn't get tired. We had a snack in the cafe; it can get a little busy in terms of seating, but we were lucky. The "rat hunt" for the children was a real fun& it kept them going....

Geo R: loved it, really nice and free

Kl: Really enjoyed my visit on 4 Dec 2022. For 45 years at London Wall, it’s due to relocate to West Smithfield opening to the public in 2026.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait …

Constantin Gorea: I was on the penultimate day of business until closing. There are many interesting things about human evolution and development and the city of London. Moreover, many things are common with those previously seen in other museums, such as tools, pots made of clay and other materials, carvings in wood and stone, craftsmanship, etc.It shows the life of the city and the hard times it went through, such as the Great Fire and the war that affected the city a lot.If you want to see the evolution and periods that London has gone through today, then you will be able to do so in 2026 at the museum's new location in West Smithfield.

Jenny Smith: Attended the final reunion as the Museum has now closed the doors at London Wall.

Gemz J: Went with my daughter and her class on a school trip.the kids had a really fun day, they loved learning about the RomansVisited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

Kubicki Sebastian: I recently visited the Museum of London and was very impressed with the extensive and fascinating collection on display. From prehistoric artifacts to contemporary items, the museum offers a captivating look at the city's rich history. Interactive exhibits and informative displays make the museum both educational and enjoyable. I especially enjoyed learning about the Great Fire of London and seeing the impressive replica of the city as it would have looked before the fire. Overall, I highly recommend the Museum of London to anyone interested in learning about the city's past.

William Crawford: Excellent customer service and well laid out exhibitsThis is a Free Entry Museum but they ask for a £5 donation if possible to keep it that way.Well worth visiting.Easy transport links. Restaurants close by.

Helen Holding: We visited Mud Larks, the toddler area, and it was wonderful: soft play, water play, dress up and more, all docks themed and often demonstrating how the docks and shipping routes work in a fun way for toddlers. The cafe had a baby area and there's lots of baby changing, I'd recommend to anyone with a little person!

Bohdan Solodovnichyi: This is a very beautiful place for a family vacation, old buildings are intertwined with new glass structures. Lots of restaurants and cafes. Lots of local people and touristsWait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure …

Bryan Cooper: Very interesting place free entrance.Make a donation for £5.00

Dirk Singer: a lot in the Blitz.Like other museums, there's also now more of a focus on the slave trade and Afro Carribbean London.Café downstairs, there is also a row of restaurants outside

Elisa Belli: Fantastic museum, both for children and adults. Lovely people working there, too.

Peter Evison: Really well set up and interesting, highly recommended. For me, maybe too much to see in one visit- I think there are 4 floors so could have concentrated on doing one half per visit. Plenty of audio visual presentations. We were there on a weekday afternoon and found access easy, unlike the national portrait gallery which was rammedVisited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Matthew Piercy: A fantastic museum of natural history. We loved the aquarium and the Dinobricks. I had to take a picture of this cheeky little shrew also. Really impressed with their efforts to go zero carbon too . Ooh and the cafe. Great food

Jo Bell: Great location and the layout is elegant and beautifully signposted, but the content assumes a deal of prior knowledge. For instance, the polar exhibition goes straight into the stories of Franklin and Scott without really explaining who they are or giving any introduction.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

tt tt: An impressive place with magnificent masterpieces. Two downsides: the organization at the entrance and finding the stairs to go up to the upper floors. On the other hand, you have to target what you want to see because it is huge.Thank you for the Rosetta Stone and the Parthenon, I made a family wish come true. Also not recommended for young children

Philip Smith: Only had short visit as just passing through the area will revist
