Everton Skoronski: I have had the opportunity to attend to classes from May/18 to Jan/19 while I was hosted in London. Since the first lesson, I got impressed with the quality of the material as well as the level of the teacher. The atmosphere is incredible and, even though the classes are full free, all the team make a huge effort to make it a great experience to everybody. Free English Classes is a succeed project and it is not only about English classes, it is about love and how to help people in the local community. I do recommend everyone to join to the classes because you are going to find out more than only classes. You are going to meet people from many parts of the world and make good friends.

It’s really great for individuals looking for community in London, especially if they are new to the city. There is also a huge diversity in the people that come which is just great. Samuel Tang: The Free English Classes is a great place to build friendships with people of different countries. It begins with an hour and a half of English lessons, and is followed by a meal and time for some great conversations. I highly recommend it.

Ivo was the teacher and he was very kind, generous and helpful . My experience was too good and at the end of 4 weeks course i was in so much pace and confidence to get required grade and thanks to college and ivo i finally got grade B . Travel Class (Travelclass.org): Nice school in the centre of London! Modern and stylish. Several colleagues also studied here and they were all happy
Adriana Martinez: It was a really bad experience, not professional at all regarding sales marketing. I bought my English course and the person who sold me the course is in Malaysia because the staff of this School work around the world, it was a totally nightmare. when I arrived at the EC school in London and they did not have any space for me. the schedule was different and the last straw was the course that I chose and paid for no longer existed, so I felt deceived and of course disappointed with the person who sold me this course. Now I have to wait 20 days to get my money back. Please be careful because the foreign sales agents can sell you a course that does not exist and when you arrive in London it will be a big problem!

Benedict Brodmann: I was at EC London in 2015 and I really liked it there, the teachers were very professional and good, the homestay I was allocated to was impeccable and the people at EC were very helpful when I had requests or was unsure about things surrounding my stay. I met a lot of amazing people there and improved my English a lot, so I can only recommend it.
Henrique Bianchi: I studied at EC for eight weeks. The staff is awesome and teachers are very attentive. Besides, it is a well located school, right in front of Euston Station and just five minutes walking from Kings Cros St Pancras. Loved the experience.

hetal shah: As a family host for the last 3 years I have never had a bad word to say.But please be aware before becoming a host. The do not honour there own terms and conditions. I got paid for only 5 days out of 14.
Response: Dear Hetal, As we told you on the phone and by email, we are sorry that the 2 latest students were unhappy in your home and did not wish to stay as originally planned (we explained the reasons to you). As we are sure you understand we cannot force students to stay in a host family where they are unhappy. The same policy applies to all host families of our English school in London that have the right to ask us to move a student if they no longer wish to host a particular student for whatever reason. As per our host family agreement, which you have signed, if a student is unhappy they can leave the host family and we will pay for the nights that they stayed (no notice period applies as our agreement clearly states). We will then have to find our student a new host family in London and send a car to move them and their belongings to a new host family. You hosted younger students previously and we had good feedback. Maybe this was an isolated incident. Maybe a clash of personalities or change of circumstances but the end result is that these two students did not feel happy in your home and it’s our job to ensure that the situation is resolved and the students are happy so that their English course in London or overall positive experience is not affected. Obviously, we would have preferred that they stayed with you the whole stay and had lovely memories of your home but we had to deal with the reality of the situation. The students were moved to a new host family for the rest of their London English classes and we correctly paid you for the 5 nights that they stayed + 1 night (which you were not intitled to). It surprises us that you think that we should be paying you for a service that you have not provided! We value our London host families immensely, always fulfil our commitments, and are proud of having developed many long-standing relationships with the many local host families that have hosted our students for many years at our English school in London, have recommended their friends and family to host with us and have found the experience not just financially helpful but also very rewarding in many other ways.
Medina Nabiyeva: Nacel is a great place to learn English and meet nice people. The teachers are very qualified as they teach and explain with great patience. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. There are many social activities such as visits to museums, markets and other interesting places where all groups interact with each other.

Dani A: I really enjoyed the school, the atmosphere is welcoming. I loved the diversity of nationalities of the students and the iteration encouraged in the classes. Teachers have empathy they are receptive and know how to work well with students. It has an environment where you can eat and heat up the meals you buy/bring. Easy access location close to fast food shops, market, pharmacy and subway.

Karla: It took me a while to decide which English school I wanted to go to because there are so many. Nacel English School had very good reviews so I thought I should go for this one. Indeed it is a great English school in London! My English improved much faster than I thought and the school has a great atmosphere. The teachers are very very nice, and they make the learning easy. The staff at the reception are always very helpful and made my stay in London much easier. I also like meeting people from around the world in the school, it’s easy to make friendships. I improved my English and enjoyed some activities apart from lessons. It was like a school trip:) Furthermore, there are also nice receptionists. Franta Jirka: Never again. Poor communication with local representatives in Czech, level of services provided low, promised different accommodation than provided. I have daughter there, no food organized even we paid for, wrong placement in the study group so she is learning so basic English that could stay at home… waste of money!
Giuseppe Gonzalez: The school is good, maybe it’s better if you choose the summer period because during the christmas holidays you will skip some lessons. The teachers are good, especially Danielle ❤️. Some of my friends are in the family, but sometimes I heard that the rooms are dirty or that there are rats (absurd). I recommend to choose the accommodation. Ability Tower is fine, but not the best by EF. An advice for the Italians that are coming, it’s better for you if you have a lot of money because the food sucks in UK (unfortunately), with a lot of money you can eat in the Italian restaurant. Maybe there is a problem with the test because the time is only 25 minutes, and if you are not used to read a lot you will find a lot of problem. Anyway good experience, amazing city and amazing fireworks during the New Year Eve. Enjoy!

maxime egli: My friend and I took english classes for 4 weeks at WLES for our Cambridge exam preparation. The experience we made there was wonderful. The environment is great and all the teachers are extremely friendly and experienced. They always make sure to focus on your needs since the english knowledge between students can be different. Asif, the managing director, organized our whole stay including a host family 1 week prior our trip, which was amazing. He was also always there if we needed something and regularly checked up on us. We were also surprised by the variety of out of school trips WLES organized and most of them were free. In addition we made great friends there from all over the world. We can for sure recommend this school for students who want to improve their english! In the short span of 4 weeks they prepared us well for the exam and we passed it with good grades, so there is absolutely nothing that could be said against this school! Regina Tavabilova: I took an intensive course for two months and enjoyed it! I came to London recently and joining WLES was my best decision. meme: It’s not good, It’s expensive and half of the teachers aren’t native English speakers. It’s one floor and it’s so small. You have to squeeze yourself in all day to just walk around or go to the kitchen or toilets. There’s no space in classes and one class can have up to 16 students. And sometimes the tables and chairs aren’t enough so you’ll have to squeeze yourself in. Asif The director is very rude and disrespectful and doesn’t care about the students. He will only brag about how good the school is but once you pay you won’t get respect or learn well. Not to mention how he called students a zoo and didn’t even bother to apologize but kept avoiding it. There’s no excuse for acting this way towards anyone. It’s unacceptable and unforgivable. he’s barely even around. And there’s some kind of extreme favoritism to some students. Overall discussing anything is pointless if he can’t do the bare minimum which is to respect the students. i don’t recommend this school AT ALL. I won’t be giving it a second chance. Only good at bragging and making excuses. don’t waste your time or money.
Response: Hi, I have already responded to most of your issues in my replies to your friends' reviews. However, I must also respond to your comment about us having non-native English teachers, and the implication that this is a failure of our school. Like most respectable UK schools, we recruit our teachers based on qualifications and skills, not on the country of their birth. This is firmly in line with our values, and those of English UK, of which we are proud members. All our teachers, without exception, have an internationally-recognised Level 5 qualification in teaching English, and most of them also have a Level 7 qualification. During our last full British Council inspection in 2019, the inspectors decided to award us a Strength for our teaching, based on their classroom observations. It is interesting to note that proportionally, we had even more non-native teachers then than we do now. We also still have the same Director of Studies, who is not a native speaker himself. If you would like to meet our academic management team, they would be more than happy to explain in further detail why we do this.
Clara Pérez: It is a very professional academy, I booked the intensive OET course for doctors, and the teachers Harmi and Alex were just great, I received more classes with teacher Harmi and I most say he is an excellent teacher, his explanations were very clear, the material for the classes was very interesting and useful for the exam, he gave me a lot of resources to improve my listening and my reading. The manager of the academy, Faustine, is a great person, very enthusiastic and willing to help. In conclusion, I recommend the academy, and OET course 100%.

Vector Falcons: The academic level is mediocre at best, and the instructors are not well suited to teach English as a second language. Spending weeks or months here is a total waste of time. What is much worse is the attitude of its director, Asif. He is so arrogant, has no respect to students, and not professional at all. What kind of director shouts at students and describes class as a “zoo”?! Zoo is for animals. He ignores the fact that those are paying customers. It is not a charity! He was way out of control and showed no respect whatsoever. Afterwards, he did not offer any apology! Maybe this school will benefit from a replacement of the director. They should find someone with more integrity, self control, and respect to “paying” customers. I am writing this review on behalf of a family member who did no benefit much from studying at this mediocre school. We have noticed how the school responds to negative reviews with denial, as usual. And they will ask us to discuss issues with the school, i.e. with the same incompetent, respect-lacking director. So, we will not bother. This school is not recommended at all. Don’t waste your time and money. You won’t find respect or progress here.
Response: Due to the situation, I have no option but to make an official reply to this review in response to your complaint, and the other recent bad reviews that have come in because of the same incident. I would firstly like to apologise to you as you are notably unhappy with the incident that happened and with your experience here. I am sorry that you feel as though you have not benefited in any way in your class here with us at WLES. I would like to respond to the reasons for your discontent. Firstly, the mention of 14 students in class. Yes, for 2 weeks the morning Elementary class had 14 students. However, as per our policy and publicity, while our ideal number of students in a class is 12, our maximum is 14. Currently, the class is closed for new students and there is a waiting list. We insist on 12 students as we think it’s the right number to create the right atmosphere in the class. On average, we maintain classes of 8-10, and the reason class numbers may go to 14 are as follows: • students starting their course, and on their first day, we realise that they were placed at the wrong level. This doesn’t happen often, but no placement test is ever 100% accurate, so it can happen. This is why we consider the first lesson to be a trial. • We also give individual care and attention to each of our students, all of whom we know by name, and we become very invested in their progress. We have regular 3-week progress tests for full-time courses, and any students that pass are moved to a higher level. We run all levels from A1 to C2, and we always allow students to move up if there is space in the next level. • We also have a number of students that wish to extend their courses on their last week which doesn’t help with scheduling class numbers. Lastly, I would like to address the issue of me suggesting that the school is not a zoo. The school, along with many other organisations, has gone through a very difficult period due to Brexit and the pandemic. We even closed the school for face-to-face teaching in March 2020 for an extended period due to the pandemic. I, Asif Musa the Director, founder and majority shareholder in the school, have made huge sacrifices, both personal and financial, to ensure the survival of the school, business and jobs of over 25 staff members. The school, even in the most difficult circumstances, has survived and continues to thrive due to the team of management, staff and qualified teachers that put their heart and soul into the school every single day. As the Director and driving force for the school in terms of vision and values, I believe in an institution that is honest and has integrity. We believe in compassion for all staff, teachers, and students. I work on creating an environment that encourages respect and the highest standards of teaching along with it being a warm, friendly and homely place to come and learn, where students of all faiths and cultures feel comfortable and welcome. I personally look after the finances, and the well-being of more than 25 staff and 200 students at the school at all times. I personally oversee the whole running of the school and therefore have a lot to do on a daily basis. However, I ensure that I am still available for all my staff and students alike with an open-door policy. I feel like WLES is one family and we are all here to improve and become better each and every day. As to the incident in question, without going into too much explanation here (but I’m happy to discuss this further in person), as the Director and most senior person in the school, I cannot accept certain behaviour from students, especially one that breaches our Abusive Behaviour Policy. The school is fantastic, super professional, very well organised, with a good infrastructure and everyone is extremely helpful. I have to mention especially Mandy and Christina who welcome us very well every day and help us in everything we need. The teachers are very competent and qualified. They all have good didactics, provide very dynamic and interesting classes, besides being very attentive and helpful. The classes have a good number of students, which provides good integration and learning for everyone. The students are of different nationalities, which enriches the experience even more. My teacher in the one to one class took care about my needs. He adapted the courses to my weaknesses. We had a review all days and it was really helpful. BASAEER ALHATLAN: It was a very enjoyable and enriching experience, the teachers are well trained, the staff is friendly and smiling all the time, you will not feel like a stranger in the place, you will feel like you are in your family. The only thing, in my opinion, would be better if they had a curriculum or a book that explains to the student what he will take during his study period, because I find that the file system and papers are very scattered, untidy and very dispersed.

Neil Van Siclen: The school spams regularly. We never opted in for their so-called "newsletter" oder advertising (EU and British regulation), but they send it anyway. Despite repeated requests to stop spamming us, they continue. Only untrustworthy businesses operate that way. A few moments ago: Rose of York confirmed that they are finally (!) taking us off their spamming list after we treatened to file a complaint with their local authorities. Once again: only untrustworthy businesses operate that way.

At the moment I landed at Heathrow, I was shocked, I realised immediately that I could not understand and speak even a word in English (I have studied English as a third language many years ago, but I have never practised it). I started English classes immediately after my arrival in London at the TELC UK English Language School. Not only was I very much impressed by the high quality and variety of teaching, but with the very relaxed and friendly atmosphere there. Our teachers have a very professional attitude towards their students, they are very patient and devoted to teach us and give the best from them. I like going there, although sometimes I am feeling tired after being working all day. I am inspired to study at home at late evenings and during weekends, to do my homework. Having been student at the TELC UK English Language School in London for 7 months, I am feeling confident and relaxed now, I have made a significant progress and I am continuing to study there. Jeffery Bezos: Don’t select this centre for your ielts exam. -Terrible facilities, during the listening test, the volume was lower like babbling, the examiner rejected to turn the volume higher - the speaking test examiner was in rush, they asked questions SUPER FAST , they didn’t care if you caught them or not, it was like QUICK Q&A exam instead of normal conversation test. ridiculous!

Mobile Gamer: Sorry but I can not understand why you doing this. For IELTS exams the rooms are like -20 degree. They turning the AC on for full power. I get cold in August can you believe that? Thats why I did another test for second time and I paid extra.

Juan Manuel Martínez: The first time I took an online English course it was very complicated for me due to the fact that I couldn’t see my teacher, but with Online English School "The White Apple" I can see my teacher and if she understands me, and that makes me comfortable. Natalie ensures that her students are able to understand the lesson and she gives the best of herself to achieve this. Another advantage is that she speaks Spanish and that is very important when comparing meanings between Spanish and English. Maria Vittoria Lo Presti: I took an intensive English course last summer (mid-July/mid-August) at ICE. My teachers (Marco, James and Sarah) were very knowledgeable, professional, kind and friendy. The school is in the city centre, two minutes walk from the Angel tube station, in a beautiful neighbourhood, full of shops, restaurants and services. I was lucky enough to live with one of the other teachers who not only helped me to improve my English, but welcomed me into her home and made me feel as a part of a wonderful family. This experience will remain in my heart forever.

Simonetta: I have liked the course; it is very useful in my opinion and it provides what I need at this time. I realized that with this course, I have improved the level of my listening and conversation a lot, and I also understand that I have a long way to go, ...actually my English is in progress. About the teachers, they are well prepared and very experienced. Definitely met my expectations! My teacher is good at teaching, she is clear when explaining. Beside this, she has a good knowledge of the English Language. She is available for us all the time and that, makes me more confident. She always makes us practice and develop conversations and encourages all students. During classes, the pronunciation is checked all the time. We do homework every day and it’s good, because you can memorize all the content of the lessons. The course develops very well every day. I would like to do this kind of course once a year or, whenever I have free time to dedicate to it.
