Bob Hooper: what do users think?

Charlotte MetzHastings: The best guitarist around. Had lessons for many years and it has been a real pleasure to learn with Bob. He is a gentleman, patient and worth his weight in gold. He taught me as a child and also later as an adult. Bob teaches all different styles from classical guitar, electric, flamenco, blue and many more besides. Also wonderful at weddings and other celebrations. Worth taking the guitar up and being inspired.

Maureen Groves: AMAZING!

michael briody: Ramon is a professional musician and a very skilled flamenco teacher. He is very patient and will go over a piece again and again. He is able to pick out my weak points and work on them. He has a wealth of knowledge, I definitely recommend Ramon.
Response: Thank you Michael. It is always a pleasure to support you learning.

Katja falinski: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueRamon has helped me develop a much deeper understanding of guitar. He is very experienced and patient. Loved his lessons!
Response: Thank you Katja! You are a fast learner!

ashley Wijesinghe: I studied to play Flamenco Guitar under Ramon for the last couple of years and had to stop due to Covid 19. I am hoping to start again in the near future. I was interested to study playing Bulerias and although that is taught in final part of the repertoire, he taught me in a step by step fashion by teaching the importance of the compass and the riffs. And bringing them together. I would say he is an excellent guitarist and understand the weakness of s tudent and pinpoint in a positive manner to correct the mistakes. In my opinion he believes in good itechque and to be able to stick to the Compass in Flamenco Guitar playing.
Response: Thank you Frank. It was a pleasure to teach you.

Karl Gilbeys: Positive: Communication, Quality, ValueRamon is one of the best flamenco musicians in the country and he is a wonderful and generous teacher.

Sebastian Ruiz: I enjoyed lessons with Ramon and he is great with beginners

Gilbeys Yard TRA: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueBrilliant musician and a patient and empathetic teacher, one of the best around. Highly recommended.
Response: Thank you.

The Spanish Guitar Hub: what do users think?

isabelle bourez: Edina is not only a talented guitarrista, she is also very good to teach how to play guitar, read tablatures etc ... She’s also very patient with students when needs to be but likes to challenge you with new stuffs to learn so you constantly improve yourself. I’m so glad I found her and I will recommend her to anyone who wants to play Spanish guitar.

nigel cushion: Edina is an excellent teacher of Flamenco guitar. Her methods are supportive, but also refreshingly challenging and exacting. Edina is entirely in tune with the needs of the student guitarist, she listens and observes the student in progress and adapts her approach to ensure the intended learning is understood. I would recommend Edina as a guitar teacher to anyone who wishes to commit to leaning the instrument correctly or who wants to improve their technique and theoretical knowledge.

Jeff Beech: Been playing metal and blues for the last 20 years and felt stuck in my playing so decided to take up Flamenco guitar.Found Edina on youtube and started taking lessons with her and after a year I can say that it has brought new life into my playing! Not only has it improved my playing it has made everything I play on the electric much much easier.Edina has patiently brought my playing up to the next level by improving my over all technique and teaching me step by step techniques for Spanish guitar.Thank goodness for her patience because at the beginning I was completely awkward and couldnt even keep time but after a couple months had me playing in front of people.I cant recommend her enough as she is very talented player and very skilled teacher that I highly recommend to any beginner or anyone looking to take there playing to the next level!!

Chip Johnson: I’ve been playing the guitar for about 40 years. Mostly electric blues. I decided a couple of years ago that I’d try to learn Spanish, Flamenco and Classical guitar. Luckily for me I found Edina Balczó and The Spanish Guitar Hub. I have learned so much from Edina’s YouTube channel as well as private lessons done over Skype. ( I live in the US and Edina lives in the UK). Her instruction has made me a better guitarist in all the different genres that I play. Edina is a knowable, professional, caring person as well as the best guitar instructor that I’ve ever met. Edina and The Spanish Guitar Hub is the best. 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Michael Smith: Edina is an excellent teacher of Flamenco Guitar , endless patience and motivation

Nikola Petrov: Really enjoyed my guitar lesson! Definitely coming back next week! Highly recommend! :-)))

London Guitar Institute: what do users think?

Yiting Shen: Learning classical guitar with Josh has been an absolutely enjoyable experience. He is encouraging, professional, and is always willing to give useful advices on how to practice effectively and improve my techniques. I’m a complete beginner and Josh has steered me in the right direction and helped me to grasp the basic essentials of the instrument and music. Online sessions are fun, but I’m looking forward to having face-to-face lessons (hopefully) in the near future!
Response: Dear Yiting, thank you for your beautiful review! I am indeed very happy to hear that Josh has been looking after your learning and helped you to get started with classical guitar! I agree 100% - we all cannot wait for the face-to-face guitar lessons to start again! Thank you again!

Atixx .P: I haven’t been attending lessons for long but so far my experience has been very positive. I was hesitant to start guitar lessons because I felt it was embarrassing for an adult to take lessons this late in life. But my teacher was very good at making me feel at ease and relaxed. The teachers are very supportive and knowledgeable. I have already learned so much that I didn’t know before. I am looking forward to my future lessons.
Response: Dear Atika, thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are always VERY VERY happy to take on adults learning the guitar from scratch. I am very happy to hear that James made you feel at ease and relaxed. We are looking forward to providing you with many more lessons!

Philippe: I have discovered the London Guitar Institute a year and a half ago and it has been a total game changer for my guitar learning. I had followed the school of Youtube and had met the occasional guitar teacher but it is only through the London Guitar Institute that I have started to make real progress. They are incredibly professional and while teaching all the harder funding blocks of guitar playing manage to infuse a sense of fun and playfulness. What they teach is not just to play pieces of music but to develop independence to free oneself to be able to improvise and understand how to make, read and play music!
Response: Philippe, a big big thank you for your wonderful review! You are indeed a very enthusiastic and disciplined student and a model of what it means to learn the guitar as an adult! Teaching you is an amazing experience and it is great to see how you are developing quarter to quarter in real time! Thank you once again for the review - MUCH appreciated!

A M: I had hit a ceiling because I had no idea what to work on, hadn’t previously had lessons but had played for a long time. My teacher (Josh) was able to quickly identify problem areas, suggest new technical development avenues and call out themes in the pieces I was playing to bring new pieces to the table. I particularly enjoy that Josh doesn’t aim to enforce the “right” way to play a piece but rather encourages you to explore different approaches alongside. I’m improving because my practise is more efficient, happy with what I’m working on and my teacher is a thoroughly nice bloke. As a school they’re also comfortably relaxed about the admin side, but did take appropriate pandemic measures. Sadly they can’t force you to stop procrastinating and actually get on with the homework...
Response: Thank you SO MUCH for your beautiful review. Very happy to hear that Josh is pushing you to new musical heights and stretching your technical guitar playing side! Thanks so much!

Ross Anderson: I am very lucky to have found an accomplished and passionate guitar teacher. The lessons are very well structured with the aim to get you to the next levels of confidence and improvement with the guitar. Stefan is always patient, informative and has a creative and fun way of teaching the guitar techniques which helped me to gain a clear understanding. The lessons are held in a clean and quiet setting and the location is very easy to get to with close transport links in central London. I always look forward to the guitar lesson with Stefan and if you are looking for an informative, experienced guitar teacher I do highly recommend contacting Stefan!
Response: Thank you so much for your wonderful review Ross! It is an absolute joy to teach you and I am delighted to see how much you have learned and how you are starting to master the guitar's neck!

M: Not impressed. Would not recommend unless your an absolute beginner perhaps, even then, communication was slow after they took my money (sometimes over a week to respond). Lessons were awkward and claustrophobic, learnt nothing and wasted a few hundred. Lesson bookings where incredibly slow and limited also, your better off signing up to jamtrackcentral (website) or another service.
Response: Please allow me to extend my sincere apologies as the aim of The London Guitar Institute is dedicated to providing the best quality guitar lessons in London, and we are really sorry to read that we failed in meeting your expectations. Can you kindly email me personally at stefan@londonguitarinstitute.co.uk? I would like to understand a little bit more about this situation and who the teacher was? Our bookings are usually super fast and we are always happy to provide a very quick service. Kindly email me so that I can resolve this and my sincere apologies again for your experience. Kindest regards Stefan Joubert

Guitar Lessons London : London Guitar Academy: what do users think?

Mario Rojas Acosta: I took the beginner guitar course (six weeks) and loved every minute. James created a friendly, welcoming environment for our group, calling us a “band” from the start. We were given well-designed chord and melody books and each brilliant lesson ended with a recap which we were encouraged to record, making practicing at home incredibly easy. I went from being a total beginner to playing three songs confidently in six short weeks, learning chords and melodies from some of the best tunes in the history of rock and roll. Currently taking private lessons and learning even quicker. Massive fan of this school and their method, truly one of the best things I’ve done for myself in a good while. For anyone who’s been waiting for the right time and place to learn guitar, the time has come and the place is London Guitar Academy.

Ashley Burrows: James and London Guitar Academy are truly fantastic. As a beginner learning the guitar James was able to take a methodical approach to teaching me and help me to learn at my own pace. Each and every lesson at London guitar academy is informative, interesting and fun. I would highly recommend London Guitar Academy to anyone wanting to learn the basics or to develop their more advance skills!

Mohamed El Sharkawy: These lessons are definitely the highlight of my week! James is an excellent teacher who loves what he does and this really shows during the lessons and also makes them truly engaging. When I started a year ago I was a complete beginner but I have improved quite rapidly and have become much more more confident in my playing which is a testament to the quality of the teachers. I would absolutely recommend the London Guitar Academy to people who would like to learn to play the guitar but also have an enjoyable time in a friendly environment!

miho charles: Flamenco Academy is a brilliant school. Ollie is a fantastic teacher and I am so glad I have started learning at Flamenco academy. I have improved immensely in a short period of time because Ollie is dedicated and also he listens and helps everyone of us. He is very kind and patient!!!! All the dancers in my class are of a very good standard and super friendly. We are like a big family ! 💃🕺😊

Suzanne: Ollie is a super-talented dancer and a fantastic teacher. His technical ability is unrivalled in London, and his love for flamenco is infectious! He works his students hard and challenges them, but he does so with care, encouragement and fun. He also brings some of the best teachers over from Spain for classes and workshops to make sure his students experience a variety of styles and techniques.

Mariam Ragovskaia (Marika): Ollie is a driven, super talented and amazing teacher for all levels.. Must try if you are a beginner and must try if you want to improve your advanced flamenco study. Ollie also teaches rhythm classes which are very important for aspiring dancers to include in their mix of learning flamenco - it improves the understanding of this very complex language.

Isabel de Vasconcellos: I have loved learning Flamenco with Ollie. He is a fantastic dancer and a natural teacher: precise, patient and extremely clear to follow. He also knows when to push you so that you take your practice seriously and push yourself. This, he achieves with a charming mixture of authority and good humour. Highly recommended!

K Mirren: Ollie is a fantastic teacher and the classes are really great. He has a brilliant energy and the classes are exhilirating! Having tried many different flamenco classes in London I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Her teaching style gets the best from the students .The atmosphere in class is amazing and very positive and upbeat. Mostly a live guitarist is used , and they are highly accomplished professional flamenco guitarists, and that makes a huge difference. The students preform regularly and the shows are amazing and Angela puts a lot of effort into making them so.And the xmas party is a lot of fun for everyone. You will not find a more professional, or fun school to learn flamenco 💃. Be warned , once you start you will become addicted;)
