Sebastian Ruiz: I enjoyed lessons with Ramon and he is great with beginners

Katja falinski: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueRamon has helped me develop a much deeper understanding of guitar. He is very experienced and patient. Loved his lessons!

Chris Pedley: Ramón is a fantastic teacher and arguably the UK's leading flamenco guitarist. He teaches all levels and is an incredible communicator of music. I have studied flamenco guitar in some of Andalusia's top flamenco schools but always go back to Ramón him have never come across a better teacher. Also a lovely guy with infinite paciente and perseverance with students.

ashley Wijesinghe: I studied to play Flamenco Guitar under Ramon for the last couple of years and had to stop due to Covid 19. I am hoping to start again in the near future.I was interested to study playing Bulerias and although that is taught in final part of the repertoire, he taught me in a step by step fashion by teaching the importance of the compass and the riffs. And bringing them together. I would say he is an excellent guitarist and understand the weakness of s tudent and pinpoint in a positive manner to correct the mistakes. In my opinion he believes in good itechque and to be able to stick to the Compass in Flamenco Guitar playing.

Ben Cox-Smith: Ramon is a fantastic teacher as well as an incredibly skilled guitarist and musician. I've been having lessons with him for about 5 years and his methods, kindness and patience mean I leave every class inspired and motivated. I couldn't recommend him more.

Karl Gilbeys: Positive:Communication,Quality,ValueRamon is one of the best flamenco musicians in the country and he is a wonderful and generous teacher.

Gilbeys Yard TRA: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueBrilliant musician and a patient and empathetic teacher, one of the best around. Highly recommended.

michael briody: Ramon is a professional musician and a very skilled flamenco teacher. He is very patient and will go over a piece again and again. He is able to pick out my weak points and work on them. He has a wealth of knowledge, I definitely recommend Ramon.

Peter: I'm an intermediate flamenco guitarist who has been having lessons with Ramon for a couple of years now both 1-1 and in groups. After hearing him play in my first lesson I knew he was the right guitar teacher for me because he's extremely skilled but also a very patient teacher. I would fully recommend him to anyone interested in learning. Also a very nice chap!

London Guitar Institute: what do users think?

Alex: The teaching is tailored and personalised to your goals. I’ve found my ability growing considerably since starting. Glenn is a great instructor

Maja Cernja: Glenn is a wonderful teacher and it has been a joy learning the acoustic guitar with his guidance

Nick James: I’ve been with London Guitar Institute for about two months now. All of the staff have been kind, responsive to my questions, and amenable to my schedule requests. My teacher Glenn is great; he is attentive, easy to get along with, and has no ego whatsoever as a guitar teacher. He is highly skilled in technique, theory, gear, resources, and adept when it comes to developing a personalised practice program, tailored just for me as his student.I have noticed a significant increase in my ability, both with regards to theory and technique, and in such a short time!I highly encourage every aspiring guitar player, who is serious about music, to take up instruction at LGI!

Sarah Desigar: I have a great guitar teacher.I am so pleased with my progress and the communciation with the school is very organised and coherent.A very professional but incredibly friendly place to learn music.

Dominic Chapman: Really enjoyable guitar lessons, with very talented teachers, who set a good pace for progress. Conveniently located in Central London too.

Jess Kearon: I’m thoroughly enjoying my lessons with Glenn. I appreciate his manner of teaching which is encouraging and stretches me without being daunting or taking on too much. I always come out of each lesson having learned something new and look forward to each session! He is friendly and has a great sense of humour to boot.

simran rahman: After playing guitar on and off over the years I started losing interest, however after taking lessons from Glenn I have found my passion for playing again, I have enjoyed learning every step of the way. I have become more disciplined in studying what I don’t know and focusing on what I need to work more on. It has been a wonderful and fun experience working with Glenn, he is encouraging, professional, and always provides useful advice on how to improve my technique.

B T: I’ve been attending lessons for a few months and hope to continue for a long time, would recommend to anyone whether beginner or advanced

Rob Machin: Just starting out on learning the guitar and have to say the London Guitar Institute has been great. Having an in person lesson has been so helpful and I feel I'm consolidating my progress more than just by using FenderPlay and JustinGuitar - which I am using to suppliment my lessons. Getting the lessons set up was super-efficient and my tutor is fab - so what can I say!? If you want to learn the guitar - this is a great option.

Harris Bor: Got great teacher, and enjoying the experience.

Marta Pšeničnaja: Great teacher, I'm absolutely satisfied and would recommend.

Sanjiv Dhutia: Very good lessons with James! He takes the time to explain everything and demonstrates it well. Really happy with the classes

Tom Webb: Great lessons by a knowledgeable and personable instructor.

Atixx .P: I haven’t been attending lessons for long but so far my experience has been very positive. I was hesitant to start guitar lessons because I felt it was embarrassing for an adult to take lessons this late in life. But my teacher was very good at making me feel at ease and relaxed. The teachers are very supportive and knowledgeable. I have already learned so much that I didn’t know before. I am looking forward to my future lessons.

Mia Tse: Josh is an excellent teacher who always manages to break through barriers I experience with my learning! Thoroughly recommend!

Arthur Khindria: , tons of super cool blues licks, all of the modes, and have a growing understanding of music theory. I can play the Hotel California solo, and am close to being able to completely play the solo of Sweet Child O' Mine.Although I practise a lot, this progress is thanks to Stefan's world-class mastery of both music and teaching. He is a kind, passionate and thorough teacher that will enable, and inspire, you to become the amazing musician you always wanted to be.One of a kind - do not miss out on the opportunity to learn from a true master.Enjoy!Arthur

David Elam: I've been taking lessons with Kinga for 6-8 months and she has completely transformed my playing and knowledge of music. I really appreciate her patience, incredible skill, and deep knowledge of theory. She also keeps it fun and ties it in to local artists and music I'm interested in, while also pushing me to explore new genres. I've taken many lessons over the years in different instruments from different teachers and I can definitely say Kinga is a stand out. Thanks for your time and instruction Kinga!

Michael Godfrey: I had lessons with Kinga, one of the tutors at the guitar institute, and she was excellent. Great at identifying what level I was at, and providing pieces and exercises that were doable for my level but also pushed me to develop. I've seen some great progress since starting with her.

Harley Wang: Learning bass with Harry is an absolute pleasure - he’s always patient and so good at teaching, as he always makes excellent explanations and his musical skills are superb too. Every lesson is delightful and my skills improved a lot with Harry’s help.

Florence: My husband is a self-taught guitarist with over 30 years of playing experience, but every now and then he'd wondered about lessons, so I signed him up for a one-off session as a surprise for his birthday. I was a little apprehensive about whether he'd get much out of it, so was delighted that he found it so inspiring. Glenn was quickly able to get a sense of what he might find useful and my husband is keen to arrange more lessons. Thank you so much.

Séverine Guex: Kinga is a fantastic teacher. In the 2 years that I have been taking classes with her, I made significant progress in improvisation and rhythmic guitar. She is extremely enthusiastic and particularly gifted at explaining music theory. Highly recommend!

Andrew Poole: Looking forward to continuing the lessons with him!

Luke Cox: Glenn is incredible, crafts really beneficial lessons and is very engaging the whole time. He always lets me pick his brain and provides excellent explanations. Every time I go, I walk out of my lesson, I just want to pick my guitar back up and get stuck in. He also understands the reality of modern life and gives good advice on how to make the most out of practice around our busy work and life schedules. I really look forward to my lesson each week so it’s worth it. It keeps me on track with my practice and I’ve improved noticeably.

MarkB: This is the best thing I have done. I wish I started sooner. I am loving learning the guitar. Such a simple setup to get started. My teacher Christopher is fantastic. Not pushy at all. A really nice guy that makes me feel relaxed and reassuring that I am still learning. It makes for a much more chilled environment to learn something new. I have already decided to continue with more lessons before I have finished the current ones. Highly recommend 🎸🧑‍🎤

I went from being a total beginner to playing three songs confidently in six short weeks, learning chords and melodies from some of the best tunes in the history of rock and roll. Currently taking private lessons and learning even quicker. Massive fan of this school and their method, truly one of the best things I’ve done for myself in a good while. Ilusion Flamenca: what do users think?

Vidal Sancho: Great place to learn Flamenco in London!

Soumya Mishra: Angela is an excellent teacher and her classes move at the right balance between being comfortable enough and challenging enough for first time flamenco dancers. I enjoyed the experience of learning from her, she doesn't waste any time in class and is focused on teaching as much as possible.

Jane Chen: Good school. Fantastic teacher Angela.Highly recommend

Sandra Prior: Congratulations on a fantastic Gala Flamenca!!! I loved taking part!A cherry on the cake after a year of great flamenco classes, learning different 'palos' to live music, many thanks Angela!! Looking forward to keep discovering the art.

Sonia Miñarro Martínez: Amazing!

Ben Dawlatly: It was great. They did a fantastic job and the kids loved it. I'm going to a different school in September and I'll definitely recommend we get you in there.

Eloise Macpherson: The teacher/dancer Lola was great, she really motivated the students and encouraged them to speak in Spanish. They learned a routine which they could all perform at the end. The guitarist, Tony, was great, and the atmosphere was very positive. The students really enjoyed it.

Paul Wilson: , Carlos and Lola were fantastic. They are so knowledgeable, professional and approachable; making everyone feel comfortable and at ease. Please pass on my thanks.

Daisy van der Lande: Angela is a brilliant dancer. We tasked her with an almost impossible place to dancer and she was spectacular. She was so professional throughout the process and has supported us so much since. Would highly recommend Angela for any event or promotion you are looking to do!

Roy Bell: You have to try Angela Alonso's school Ilusion Flamenca. I joined initially to learn Sevillanas but this is an amazing place to learn all things flamenco - the dance steps, the music, sevillanas, castanets, the clothes and style. You get a well rounded, immersive education with Angela Alonso who is an inspiring teacher. From complete beginners to experienced dancers she encourages and nurtures the enthusiasm of her students with her positivity. Special touches are when she has a live guitar player at Sevillanas lessons or when she gives students performing opportunities at the events she organises. Angela teaches castanets with a wide variety of music styles from the songs and dances of rustic Andalucia to classical symphony repertoire. I found that the online castanet lessons worked particularly well. All in all this has been an incredibly positive experience. Very highly recommended indeed!!!

Andrew Bell: Ariana and Isabel were amazing with the children and delivered absolutely fantastic sessions that were enjoyed by all. Highly recommended.

Ruth Halkon: Great class! I have no coordination and several left feet but after an hours class even I looked somewhat graceful!

Lilia Wydra: This was really fun class. I would do it again and highly recommend for a hen do activity!

Frances Winfield: I organised a hen do flamenco dance class with Angela, and would highly recommend! Everyone had a lot of fun, the costumes, shoes, dance were all really good. Angela did a great job of challenging us to master a whole dance routine, but also kept it accessible and enjoyable for all us beginners! 5 stars.

Juncal Valle: 10/10 class!!! Angela is amazing at explaining basic moves and also at creating the most outstanding choreos. I hadn’t practised flamenco in years and her classes have been the best way to go back into it. I am loving every single class

Steve Homes: I have played guitar for Angela's classes for twenty years. In that time I have seen many hundreds of students go from beginner to performing in end of year shows, their confidence and abilty growing week by week. Angela's passion for flamenco, attention to detail, ability to see when students need individual help and overall teaching skill is to be admired. I look forward to working with her for many years to come.

Nuria Goethals: I started dancing with Angela at the beginning of January and am really loving the classes. Angela is very passionate and teaches us a lot about the dance as well as the arm and hip movements and steps. Shoes and skirts are available to hire as well as buy and Angela gives good advice before you commit to buy.

Delara Shakib: Excellent teaching and lovely group. Highly recommend!

Lautaro Zeka: Having started Flamenco lessons at the start of this year, I couldn't be happier with the lessons and teaching provided by Angela. The lessons are the perfect mix of challenging yet fun, whilst Angela's 20 years of experience clearly shows through her knowledge of the art. I was quite nervous starting lessons, and became even more nervous upon realising that I would be the only male in the class. But Angela has been incredibly supportive and shown me special attention with regards to male variations of certain dances, for which I am grateful. Looking forward to what the rest of the year brings

Iria Fernández Fernández: I wanted to try Flamenco for a long time and since the first class I already deeply felt the connection, Angela is a very experienced and passionate teacher ❤️

Gabriella Bragoli: Flamenco is something I have wanted to try for many years. I went to a taster session and became hooked. You can see that Angela is passionate about Flamenco, and it comes across in her teaching and yet she still makes the lessons fun and relaxed.I very much look forward to my lessons, and love learning new things about this dance, Angela covers everything. If learning Flamenco is something you are interested in, I highly recommend this school.

Claudia Westphal: Just to thank you for yesterday's flamenco presentation. The kids had a great time, they really enjoyed the experience. The artists did a magnificent job involving the kids and making participation very fun.

Daniela Bailey: Angela is an amazing dance and castanet teacher. She is 100% dedicated to her students, and very supportive to new starters. She also gives her students access to all the richness of Andalucian culture, organising events to perform publicly, social get togethers, and flamenco trips to Andalucia. We are very lucky to have access to her courses in the UK.

Karla Rangel: but it’s my favorite day as well because of how much I enjoy her class!!

Lidia Garces: Ilusión flamenca, led by Angela, has been a wonderful experience so far. I’ve wanted to try flamenco for a long time and Angela is a great teacher. Luciana Hodgson: The flamenco classes at Ilusion Flamenca are the favourite part of my week. Angela is an excellent teacher and she has great tricks to help us learn the steps and the technique faster. She is really committed to flamenco and to her students. She will put in the time and effort to make sure each and every one of us have learned the lesson well. However, the best thing about this school is the community it creates. You make friends with the other students and it feels like you have been welcomed into Spanish culture, through the events, trips and workshops she organises. I absolutely love it ❤️

Kathy Kromm: Absolutely wonderful flamenco workshop on Sunday in Tunbridge Wells. It was perfectly organised with clear instructions, suitable for beginners, and plenty of practice in each separate skill. We all came away proud of what we had learnt and wanting to repeat the experience!

Carlota Gomez: I have tried several flamenco places in London and there is absolutely no comparison with Ilusion Flamenca. Angela is an incredible danser but an even better teacher. Flamenco technique is hard but she finds a way to make it easy to learn and enjoyable. She also creates an amazing community, where she organises events, finds the most interesting shows in London - making everyone feel like part of the community. She really cares about her students to the point that she lets her students easily make up classes when they miss it -being super flexible. Flamenco is one of the highlights of my day thanks to Angela.

Glenn Smith: We organised a workshop for 100 school kids and it was fantastic - they really enjoyed it and the artists clearly knew their stuff and were great with the children. We would definitely recommend.

Bob Glummy: We booked Ilusion Flamenca to provide entertainment at my mum’s 70th birthday party in London. We were sent a guitarist and two dancers who performed brilliantly, bringing the party together with a mix of information about Flamenco, some beautiful dancing, and some crowd participation. Everyone was transfixed. It was a great centre piece to the party at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.Dan

Bibi Gonzalez: Absolutely phenomenal experience with this dancing company! We hired them for a school trip to London, where they taught 50 students both flamenco and sevillanas dances, alongside traditional Spanish songs and cultural insights. The instructors were incredibly passionate and skilled, making the learning process engaging and enjoyable for everyone. The highlight was definitely the tapas meal at a Spanish restaurant, complete with live flamenco performances by the same talented artists who taught our students. The ambience was perfect, and it truly immersed us in Spanish culture. Highly recommend this company for an unforgettable cultural and educational experience!

Kyriakos Chrisostomou: In my role as Programme Manager at the Claremont Project, we booked Illusion Flamenca to deliver one of our First Friday Parties for our members. It went perfectly! Our member’s loved it so much. Illusion Flamenca's artists are so talented - they effortlessly provided such an authentic, culturally rich experience. The hosting, singing, playing, dancing and storytelling was exceptional. This event attracted the highest number of attendees we’ve had for our First Friday Parties for some years, and many members stopped by on their way out to share how much they enjoyed it with our staff team. Such positive feedback across the board. Thank you!

Dan Gold: These lessons are very often the highlight of my week. I've been taking guitar lessons from James for a year now & have seen precedented growth in my playing both in terms of the songs I have learned as well as the overall musicianship I have developed. James is truly a great teacher who makes every session fun as well as being educational!

During my lessons, I have really developed my rhythm, guitar playing bar chords and my soloing technique. After searching for awhile to find a teacher, I am delighted to have found James. So believe me, my comments are most sincere when I describe this wonderful person and his propensity to mentor any one of ranging ability to learn to play and enjoy the inspiring instrument we call the guitar.Jim is an enormously gifted guitarist and an outstanding teacher. He combines an extraordinary talent and understanding of the guitar with a supportive approach to teaching. He is very patient and takes the time to ensure that you understand each concept before moving on to the next. His teaching style makes the lessons feel very natural and improvisational, which is incredibly helpful for my learning process. Thanks to his guidance and jamming together, I've become more confident in my playing and may even start performing publicly! He has also provided me with personal tutorials of the songs I'm working on, which has been extremely valuable and even igniting the stimulus to learn by recommending a cracking practice amp that I really makes a difference. I now learn the songs all the way through instead of just a bit then getting bored of it.In conclusion, I would highly recommend Jim to anyone looking to learn the guitar, whether they're a beginner or an experienced player. He helped me develop techniques and made it a lot of fun through learning songs and composing new music.James takes you through the process of learning how to play while also showing you how songs are put together and recorded. If you want to learn to play the guitar, even if you’ve given up in frustration in the past or think that it’s too late to learn, call James
