CGP: Wonderful & Magical..🎊💖

Michael Spring (Jez): Choose the right course and you won't be disappointed. You'll struggle. You'll swear. You'll wonder how people can do it. But persevere and you'll have an experience that's priceless. I started here when I retired and despite some setbacks, I've loved it. Keeps you alive and stretched.

Gerrard Russell: Superb Art Gallery with very good lighting and a great cafe. The Artwork on display at the moment is by Atsuko Saito who is a very accomplished Japanese artist living in London. Really precise beautiful paintings.

Sarah Wilson: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Value

Ori Altarace: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueWhat a community! Besides the amazing facilities they have some of the most dedicated teachers and staff. I feel inspired after every visit.

Charles Salmon: Wonderful. I've never painted or drawn since I was 12 many decades ago. I went to a beginners class then on to a more advanced class. The teachers are patient talented and teach you everything from mixing colours, applying the paint perspective etc. After 2 years I'm not bad.

Kevin Murphy: Kevertonkevana@gmail.com

Claire Diamond: Been taking classes part time for several years at HSOA. Painting, ceramics, jewellery. Lovely place, very talented teachers at very reasonable prices. A jewel in north London. Come and see for yourself. Lovely café as well where you can enjoy exhibited arts for students and local artists.

Paperbirds London: what do users think?

Michael Harvey: Wow. What a fabulous two day art class! Thoroughly enjoyed by both my 10 and 7 year old boys. Barbara inspired them with fun ice cream and beach ideas! They were so proud of their work and even get an art certificate - lovely attention to detail! We definitely will be booking art camp again.

Olessia Willybiro: My older daughter has been with Barbara for over 5 years now and the younger has been over a year. They both enjoy Barbara's classes so much! They learn new techniques, improve on the previously built bases in a fun way and the best thing is that they explore their creativity is so many unusual ways: both during the classes and inspired at home afterwards.I regularly hear comments about my older one that her work is like from a real artist and somehow it is super easy for her! Thank you Barbara!

Kate Hogg: have grown hugely in confidence. They've also learnt not to give up when things don't go 'perfectly'- and the end results are always fantastic when they push through.I'm so grateful to Paperbirds for nurturing their creative talents and enabling them to produce art they are truly proud of.

micol biella: : "I have been doing Barbara’s classes for 4 years now and have gone to most of her camps. I love the way she always waits for children to create their own paintings independently and gives the best advice. I also like that she has lots of brilliant, original ideas and explains everything very well such as what brush strokes to use. She has a big motivation and has made me inspired and want to become better at art. I will do her classes as long as I can. Every week I looking forward to her classes". And Barbara always has a bid smile! Thanks, Paperbirds!

Genevieve Chorhummel: My daughter has really enjoyed Barbara’s online art classes! Barbara is so patient with all the little kids. She encourages creativity and discovery. I highly recommend her!

Nelly Ali: Barbara's classes are absolutely incredible - they have been so valuable especially during lockdown!!The children's work is outstanding once they've been in a class with her! She guides them through the process and at the same time strikes a wonderful balance by still allowing them a way to show their own personalities in their art!My 5 year old has developed so much pride in her art work and feels very empowered learning the new skills taught by Barbara that allow her to create gorgeous art.I am so grateful we found this art school and looking forward to many years learning from with you! Thank you!!

tommc7: Barbara did water colour painting with my daughter and her 8 friends on her 9th birthday. It was fantastic, the girls loved it and all went home with a beautiful water colour of their initial in a lovely frame which they all seemed really proud of. Barbara was lovely and I’d highly recommend. Barbara provided the really cool looking arty table coverings, aprons, paints, and materials and my daughter just asked me to add “that she was really amazing in general!”

art CLASS London: what do users think?

Theodore Zamenopoulos: but with the freedom to explore and develop their own concepts, directions and to some extend their identity as artists. Rebecca has created an open and creative space for artistic development rather than a typical curriculum led program. I really believe that most young people will deeply enjoy but also grow and develop their skills and interests in her studio – so I would unreservedly recommend her class. See you there!

Gale Foster: and my daughter

Joe Carlo: Fantastic vibrant art classes

Gillian Yudkin: Dubravka, who runs the classes, is a major inspiration. She encourages everyone to be the best they can. Regular exhibitions of our work at the end of each term, while scary at first, are a brilliant way of motivating us. And lovely people populate the classes!

Debbie Karp: Highly recommended! Art Class is a wonderful, inspiring and nurturing place to be creative, to learn & grow. Dubravka provides a lovely, well-equipped studio space, into which she puts a huge amount of effort - from the fantastic still lifes to the end of term exhibition. She guides us, teaches us & encourages us all to improve. It's a lovely & supportive community that I enjoy immensely.

Amparo Toboso: art CLASS is more than art lessons. We do learn and develop or skills. However, Dubravka has also created the enviroment for students to do, understand, feel and speak Art.

Patricia Sheldon: Have been attending this art class for 5 years now and have learnt a lot, from the basics of composition to techniques of painting with acrylics. Enjoyed doing life drawing, still lifes, landscapes, lino cuts and venturing into textile art. Dubravka Kalinich is an inspirational teacher and puts on great end-of-term shows!

Renate Shaw: Michael Shaw attends this class and considers it the best he has been to. Instruction is excellent and facilities are very good. A great variety of techniques and styles are taught and encouraged.

Guinevere Tufnell: Dubravka is a gifted teacher - full of inspiring ideas, and with a remarkable ability to give just the right amount of help when needed. Beginners and improvers alike enjoy our class, where I have learned a lot and enjoyed hours of companionable activity.

Julia C: This is an excellent resource in ever respect ...I cant add more to the previous review.Highly recommended!

Hannah Forster: Had a brilliant term of 'drawing and painting for beginners' with Maddie. She is super helpful and supportive. I learned loads. Each lesson Maddie introduced us to new techniques and styles and encouraged us to experiment. I really enjoyed each session and I'll definitely be back for more!

Freya Rowson: A brilliant art school - I joined the intermediate classes with Maddie for a few terms to get back into the swing of art and I absolutely loved it. Maddie was supportive, reassuring and a brilliant teacher. I would recommend it to anyone thinking about getting into / back into art and I’ll definitely be back!

Vladimir Milojkovity: It gaves me opportunity to learn new techniques which I didn't have a chance to do at the University. And it's also healing, to be able to do something creative in very friendly & supportive atmosphere. Something I will always recommend to anyone. ❤️🌼🎨

STEPHANIE MCGUINESS: Maddie is the most knowledgeable and encouraging teacher. I have learnt a lot at her relaxed and enjoyable classes. She makes everyone welcome and we all get lots of individual attention. Best 2 hours of the week! Thanks

Thanh-Mai Ho: Highly recommend the classes with Maddie. Her passion for the subject is so infectious and she gives brilliant advice to each individual. We all really improved over the course of the term thanks to her. The lessons also made me look at works of art in a different, more appreciative way. I’m planning on signing up for the next term.

nishma kothari: Maddie is such a great teacher - highly recommend!

Serena Maffei: I attended Maddie’s drawing and painting beginner course last year and am planning to join again in the future. The course catalogue offered by the school is the most comprehensive in North London, plus there is the option to join on different days of the week. Maddie is a wonderful and incredibly encouraging teacher: she has made a great impact on my decision to pursue art more as she helped me believe in myself like I never did before. Thank you Maddie!

Thomas Baines: I've been going to Maddie's drawing and painting class since September and it puts a smile of my face every week. Maddie is a wonderful guide and I feel I've learnt something new each week.

Tali Babelpour: A top class, the best in London, structured, creative and inspiring. Would recommend to everyone - beginners and advanced

Annie Fisher: I’m so glad I found Art Class! Dubrovka is such an amazing teacher, the space is great, all the materials you might need are provided. I look forward to my weekly class and have been so inspired and enriched by the lessons. It’s the perfect combination of tutelage and freedom to explore. Equally approachable if you have little or lots of experience— Dubrovka will meet you where you are and she provides inspiration, knowledge of endless techniques and art history, and really helpful critiques/feedback. Highly recommend Art Class especially Dubrovka’s classes.

Aliza: . On the one hand she lets you get on with your thing, but on the other, is always there to nudge you in the right direction when you need it. A bonus is the flexibility with attending an alternative class if you can’t make it at the usual time.

Francesca Johnson: As a complete art beginner it was the most exciting happy experience. Through the classes I’ve discovered the joy of painting and many other techniques. All in a brilliantly structured and interesting format, each term brings something new - fabulous!

Katherine Wettern: Highly recommend Art Class' beginners courses. I'm halfway through my fourth term and Maddie is a brilliant teacher who really knows her stuff. She is fantastic at meeting students of any level wherever they are at and encouraging them to learn, experiment and progress.

MIRIAM DAVID: For me, Dubravka is an exacting and at times fearsome teacher! But she is always right and she makes me produce work which is way outside my comfort zone. I am always very pleased and proud of what I accomplish.

Emma Carrick Smith: The drawing and painting class with Dubravka has been brilliant! The course is very well structured, learning about a new artist each week and working on a range of different techniques. The course allows me to be expressive and explore my own style. Would highly recommend!

IbH: My 7 year old participated in some half term classes with Rebecca and absolutely loved it. She had such a good time with it. Can only recommend.

Mel Edrich: which send to work really well. My daughter is 10 and loves getting to try out lots of different stuff but still have a bit of focus. Would recommend!

art-K Wimbledon: what do users think?

Brenda Callaghan: Both my children love their art lessons here! There is a lot of variety - clay, drawing, painting. The studio is bright, colourful and friendly, exactly what you'd hope an art class would be. Even if they are tired they still love coming here as they find the lessons relaxing and are so proud of all they work they produce here. There is a genuine love of art in this class. A lot of thought is put into planning the next project in order to stretch the student. Highly recommend! Thank you Aneta and team!

Mara Carter: My 10 year has been attending classes here. She loves it. It has a very chilled vibe. The teachers are lovely. They split the time between a wide variety of art projects and developing drawing skills and techniques very thoughtfully.

Athina-Myrto Chioni: ! The classes are very engaging, kids do a variety of projects for a number of weeks and they learn lots of skills. Staff are super polite, they have a very positive way of teaching and they are understanding and patient with kids, encouraging them to do their best. Kids have some independence while the very skilled staff directs them. I highly recommend it without any hesitation for anyone that wants to develop their skills in art or simply want to have some fun!

Colin Nelms: Lovley place

orhan ozguner: Friendly relaxed environment. Kate runs the group quite well.

Dragomir Hristov: Nice

Monique the wolf gamer: Amazing place cannot praise them highly enough.

Joe Gulliford (JGSG): My son aged 7 started lessons here in 2017 and we have been so impressed by the calibre of teaching. Katie and her team are so supportive of each and every child giving them a lot of dedicated support and encouragement over the hour and a half sessions. It really has built Joe's confidence and encouraged him to try new techniques and approaches. We have all been amazed by the output from Van Gogh canvases to drawings and pottery. He is constantly asking when he can up the frequency of his classes. I couldn't recommend highly enough. It's so rewarding to see him enjoy himself so much and be waiting at the front door to leave on Saturday mornings.

sophia starke: My sons aged 8 and 6 love Art-K with Katie Lee and her assistants Anjeela and Sam. I initially wanted my eldest son to attend as he was reluctant to put pen to paper and this has been wonderful for him and his little brother too. Katie clearly puts in alot of work to prepare for each lesson so that each individual has a plan based on a project they have chosen and techniques that they can practice. The sessions are held in a relaxed, yet stimulating environment in a dedicated Art K studio with plenty of adult support. Katie is so encouraging and it's so lovely to see how justly proud the children are of their work each week. I highly recommend Art-K Wimbledon.

Alex Sullivan: Art-K Clapham has been a wonderful space for my boys, now aged 10 and 13, to be creative. They have been attending for several years now. They love their weekly sessions and always come out smiling.

Yannick Cox: Started end April - this is my weekly few hours of zen where I can develop my creative side. Zoe is so patient and helps me believe in myself. I can’t draw and then suddenly I can with a few guiding nudges from her. Best moment of my week.

Ingrid Hall: Love this place, Zoe is a brilliant teacher and has taken me from not having done any art for 33 years to looking forward to each week and my progress. It’s also a really nice group to be with. There is no pressure, just opportunity and niceness.

David Parejo: My daughter is really happy, learning and improving every day. Zoe, the teacher, is very kind and professional and always smiling, highly recommend!

Stefanos Almpanis: A lovely and most talented artist, Zoe who is teaching the whole family to paint and sculpt.

Violett Morris: Amazing

Gaia Nebbia: really enjoy going to Art-k. They have been doing amazing work . It is the their “ favourite “ activity and Zoe is brilliant with them.I also attended the adult classes and the evenings at Art-k are just great. I have never done art before , but focusing on a project and painting/drawing/learning something new in a cosy, friendly environment is so enjoyable. I will definitely continue with the classes.

Louise W: My 10 year old son loves his weekly class at art-K Clapham with Zoe and it is certainly the best art class we have come across. Zoe is an excellent and patient teacher and he has had lots of fun so far, learning how to use acrylic paints, watercolours, developing his visual memory and practicing different painting techniques and styles. His nearest and dearest have been most impressed with the resulting pieces of work!

Pam: My daughter age 10 has been going to art-k weekly for a term now and really enjoys it. It is one of the big highlights of her week. It is mixed ages but she says that when she is in a group with younger kids, the instructor is very good at making sure she has a challenging "grown up" piece of work to do. Seems to be a mix of different media/materials they use. The class is an hour and a half or an hour and a quarter -- depending on the day of the week -- and the session is broken up midway through with a snack and a short game which she likes. We will be continuing!

ANDREA OHNUTEK: Kids cannot stop talking about art classes!

Sidharth Imanol: I used to be rubbish at drawing. Went to this workshop. Now I'm much more confident.

Antonia Skinner: Art-K has an experimental watercolour workshop which is fantastic - would recommend to anyone. If you’re looking for a calm space where you can learn a new skill, enquire today - the team is very friendly!

Thomas Gimson: I had a great evening at the art class with Zoe and Emily. I’d never used clay before and I was really sceptical about my own capability, but I was really pleased with what I made. Thanks art-k!

yasemin Kascioglu: I enjoyed the 1 week, 1 pose course immensely, our tutor Claudia Carr taught us so much with great patience. I appreciated how the days were structured, looking and discussing references and images covering different topics of painting, then continuing to paint for the rest of the day. Claudia spent time walking around the room to discuss each person’s work. The studio itself was nice, we were painting during the heatwave so everything was done to keep the class as cool as possible. I do think the lighting is a problem, and was disappointed to see that the school doesn’t have any professional lighting. Thankfully our brilliant life model brought in one of his own, I hope the drawing school will invest in the future. In summary, I would definitely attend this course again, it was really enjoyable.

Josie Chadwick: Had a blast doing the "World Imagery in Art" with the Royal Drawing School. Great tutors, learnt loads and had a lot of fun. Very good attention given to each student. Tutors seem to be super interested in everyone's progress and to "meet us where we are".

Angela O' Connell: Excellent knowledgeable and gifted tutor and well run course. I thoroughly the course and learned a lot.

Maeve Martin: Summer School-Evening Flux and Flow; Ink and Watercolour at The Royal Drawing School- a superb course based on a diverse range of historical, modern and contemporary art references . Inspirational teaching with a balance between structured tasks and more experimental directions. Stephanie and Nicola are exceptionally knowledgeable practitioners. Many thanks, Maeve Martin

Gregory Thayer: Painting: Landscape, Gardens and Natural Forms; Summer ‘22. The course was very well taught, but please, please spend a little time revising the Materials List so that it conforms to what has been described for, and then what is required to fully participate in, each specific course. Time wasted using the wrong materials, or scrambling to obtain materials after the course begins, is magnified for these intensive courses. Otherwise, very good.

Rachel Domico: I have been thoroughly pleased with courses from the Royal Drawing School. The tutors and course content are consistently engaging and of high standards.

Shannon Stoney: Great drawing instruction.

K S: My daughter did a one day course and was full of praise, she seemed to have fully enjoyed the day. It was well organised and they produced some great work.

Tomas Folan-Hasici: Best education I've had

Sabrina Scolaro: I took part in the Friday evening portrait class. The tutors are brilliant, helpful and very approachable. They gave advice and guidance that helped me improve my drawing. I would highly recommend this course. The models were excellent. They kept a pose with a sense of reality rather than looking as though they were about to fall asleep. Again, I would highly recommend this course.

Jon T: Had a wonderful experience in Life Drawing classes. Highlight of my week!

Julia Haes: There is a world waiting for you out there, and, on-line you will be joined by fellow students from different countries and continents which adds to the fun.

Marta Claret: I love this school, their courses are really good. It gives you the possibility of great online courses.

Rebecca O'Connor: I love all the different courses, week long, evening etc that I have done so far, etching, life drawing, portrait and immersive narratives. All interesting, stretching and fun. I can't wait for the new term to start again!

Lavender Leonardos: what do users think?

Olia Freimut: The most charming and professional atmosphere. My 6 years old daughter counts the days to get to the class. The school develops good taste in art and the child's uniqueness. Laura and the team are like fairies working in a cozy workshop, with children sitting at a big table. Everything around them is magical. For Christmas, Laura's mother knitted a toy for each child, the sense of family. Highly recommended.Olia

Laura and Anna were amazing and really got the kids engaged. The studio itself is really cozy, inviting and colourful. They added more decorations for the party and helped me with looking after the adults after the creative session for food and cake. They made my daughter’s day brilliant and really made it easy for me. Thank you Laura and Anna!

As we live a little far to attend the face to face lessons, these online lessons work really well for us. Hope the school can carry on offering the online courses!
