Unfortunately once the blanket ULEZ zone is slammed down over the entire area in August.. I will no longer be able to afford to visit.

Allan Batcock: Lovely clean site, well layed out, and really accommodating to disabilities

Rosina Haylock: ,.. 🤣

Jnib: check out the number 3 bus route.

Abbey Wood Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite: what do users think?

Shaun Plume: Caravan site for tourers has pods handy forWalkability: Handy for Elizabeth line to London plenty of local walks visit lesness abbey

Enrico Engelhardt: Perfekt mit dem Womo um London zu erkunden. Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel direkt vor Ort. Personal sehr freundlich, Platz sehr sauber, Sportmöglichkeiten vorhanden

Peter Morgan: Very useful for going into London. Reasonable site prices. Close to cinema.Regular bus service just outside the campsite into Edmonton for trains into LondonWalkability: 35 minutes walk to the train station into Liverpool Street station

GeoFS Aviator: Nice place, service and location. Would go again!Walkability: Nice paths around the campsiteNoteworthy details: Bring a tin barbeque

Scott Hackwood: Toilets needed more attention but otherwise was a fab site, great location, and friendly staff.Nearby activities: Bus service stops practically on the campsite, only a short journey to the train station which will get you right in to London.Playground: Excellent facilities for kids.Dog-friendliness: Lots of space to walk dogs.

Little Miss Sparkle: Friendly staff, all facilities you would expect, you can hire a bike to go along the canal. Unfortunately is is about a mile to walk to the canal even though it’s right next to the site. The local area doesn’t have much to recommend it but it’s easy to get to central London and the site is pleasant to relax in.

Lee Valley Almost Wild Campsite: what do users think?

Survivalist Chick: . That September 2022, so maybe they've gotten a new lock since then. Also, I drove past it twice. It would be helpful is they had some sort of sign, with a symbol if they don't want to post the name.

hayley heather: Richard was so lovely and friendly. Really good campsite! Would recommend and would go again

J Raza (Flow Notes): This is one of the most beautiful sites we have stayed out of many other ones around Europe. The person on site on 02 Sep 2022, I think his name is Richard. Such an helpful person took care of anything before we needed it. Went above and beyond to look after people.Magnificently mantained in its wild nature, there is a river that floats by just next to your pitch if you choose river side. The forest pithces are also a green bliss. The fire place is fantastic. Tent pithches are huge. Toilets are great. Drinking water. There are plenty of cycling, walking, and baoting spaces arount the site.Around 15 mins walk from the Station.Just a gem!!

Erin: Please note anyone who would like to book that this is a slightly different campsite in the sense of the type of clientele it attracts. By that I mean because the pitches are so large and spacious that this means that it attracts large groups which equals a lot of drunk people making a lot of noise! On the night we stayed there were parties and music and general loud everything until the early hours of the morning. Having camped in Canada the focus of camping is usually to relax in the peace and quiet of nature. In England or at least at this campsite it is to go with a large group of friends and play music and party and get drunk until the early hours of the morning. Noted. And this is no reflection on the campsite itself which is absolutely beautiful in a stunning spot with the nicest ranger and the nicest pitches!!Also pitches are auto selected - this means some people get much nicer pitches than others- but overall all are nice.I should add this wasn’t a one off group having a party - there were at least 6 or 7 parties going on that night all very loud some with music. 11pm cut off quiet hours not observed in any way.

Rosaleen Duncan: Thank you Camp ranger Richard. Your hospitality was fantastic. Once he knew we we're celebrating my husband's birthday he went out of his way to give our group Marsmollows and sticks to roast for the birthday party. Thanks for your hard work and the upkeep of a beautiful campsite.

Richard Hill: Lovely place, huge pitch area, great fire pit with benches and by the river. Not big fish but my son had fun fishing canal side for tiddlers. Very peaceful and very well looked after for anything we needed and will definitely go again . Highly recommend and our fav campsite as enjoy the open fire. Toilets composting but kept very clean and a tap for drinking water and to wash up so don’t expect showers etc but enjoy the peace and tranquility

Erron McGuire: My dogs first camping experience...You must check in before hand to get the padlock code at the front gate.Once on site I was greeted by Richard who personally showed me to my pitch area, answered any questions I had about the area and made some good suggestions for local pubs.Throughout the evening Richard would take the time to check up on us and make sure we had everything we needed.I didn't find one bit of rubbish on site and toilets where clean. One fresh water tape in the middle of site.I would recommend this camp site on the customer service that I seem to struggle to find in England now a days and how clean it is even when it's an almost wild camp site.Thank you Richard.

Anika Sherborne: on both of the riverside pitches i booked - i spent 20mins on each, picking up the poo before i was comfortable enough to walk on it let alone put my things there! Its a bit of a shame having to be weary of where your foot lands when your trying to have a holiday! Would have given it 5 star otherwise - it is idyllic!

Adam E: Had an amazing weekend here. Riverside pitch is very spacious and you can take a look through a small walkway to the river. Ranger is very friendly and will help with whatever you need. Just a heads up that your camp can be seen by others so not completely wild. The woodland pitches look amazing too especially if you want a bit more privacy. Very keen to come again!

Garry wood: There is a fantastic young woman called Fran who runs a mobile cafe at the entrance to this caravan park.coffie and food was delicious.very professional and a great personality.xx10/10Food & drinks: Great

Parminder Virdi: It is a lovely green space and fantastic grounds. Brilliant area for the children to play.Food & drinks: A delightful coffee shop on site with hot food and awesome drinks

Samantha Nettley: Good service when the reception is open, even when you ring them for fire wood in their working hours they have already left do had to wait for the next day to get some. They were charging £60 for wood and a firepit which is expensive, we went to the garden centre 5 mins away and brought to big bags of firewood for £20 and used our bbq as a firepit. They have baby changing fertilitys in one block but everytime we went it was being cleaned so was unable to use. Would be handy if they had baby changing fertilities in the shower as no one to get them dressed when your in the shower.

Ольга Козловска: I visited this campsite last weekend. The place is very peaceful and relaxing like a good campsite should be. People there were very friendly and the cleaner Kris was amazing. He super helpful, friendly.Warms showers and toilets super cleanedAll in all is a 10/10 from me, will recommend and will definitely visit again!

AM Ferg: Great location, fabulous walks all around , right next to the river , pubs near by , staff were welcoming, very helpful, wonderful atmosphere, facilities were brilliant, clean inside and out , I'd definitely be going back .Thank you

Ken Spencer: Lovely site next to the river Thames.VERY CLEAN AND TIDY!!Excellent showers and facilities.Friendly, helpful staff, particularly TRACY, thank you!

Chris Astley-Stone: From the moment we arrived at Chertsey Caravan and Camping Site, we felt right at home. The staff greeted us with genuine warmth and took the time to show us to our pitch, ensuring we had everything we needed. Their friendly demeanor set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. However, what truly impressed us was the site's proactive communication regarding the potential for flooding from the Thames. We were informed well in advance, kept updated on the situation, and provided with clear instructions on how to stay safe.Despite the potential for flooding, the campsite itself was beautifully maintained and offered a peaceful escape. The riverside location, provided stunning views and the facilities were modern clean and well-equipped, catering to all our needs.

JJ: All in all very nice campsite must be the nicest shower block out of all the caravan and camping clubs. We’ve been to staff were lovely very helpful. Bit of a problem with the rain but we were leaving when it came into a red alert not the end of the world some people were rather sad, but can’t blame the campsite when it rains. Thank you very much lovely time.

keely harper: Closed at the moment because of floodingLocation: 4/5 …

Anthony Difede: Nice site for the caravan people, clean and proper. NOT for the tent travellers . They will charge you the same rate as a caravan. They will charge you at backpacker rate but still higher. Go down the road to the community camp ground. Port a Johns and showers. Not sure if functional during off season. Do not join the camping and caravan club if you are bike touring , no discount and way over priced overpriced.

Neil Anstice: Rated 5* for ‘Rooms’ based on the facilities rather than my bedroom in the caravan. 😉The service facilities are top notch and certainly among the best I’ve seen from any campsite I’ve stayed.Only marked the location down a notch due to being under the flight path for Heathrow and lack of things going on nearby.

cheryl Fizzical-Fitness: Excellent and clean site. Happy, friendly staff, close to river Thames with lots of walking available and cycling routes along the towpath definitely worth a visit 😀

Laleham Camping Club: what do users think?

emilia callaghan: but they have a car park next to the site so this wasn't an issue.Lovely walk into Laleham which appears to only have 3 pubs, a small convenience store and a chicken takeaway place, we ended up in the pub with the pool table as the first one we came across was very busy on a Saturday night, and expensive.Would stay again if visiting the area as Lovely walk along the river. Peaceful site at nighttime. No shop but they had ice lollies and ice cubes for sale cheaply.Washing machine and rumble dryer £5 each, kettle toaster and microwave free to use. Clean toilets and showers, plenty of loo roll.Walkability: Surrounding area very flat

Lara Anne: Fine, basic camping. Not very quiet, but fine for one or a few nights. Supermarket nearby.

susan morgan: This is our second visit to laleham. The campsite is not far for the merlin attractions for days out.The campsite was clean and tidy and Sue the warden was lovely and helpful. We Will be back next year thank you xNearby activities: Lovely little park along with a park just outside the camp.Walkability: Kids loved the adventure walk around the back of the site.

Mark Paine: I stayed here for 3 weeks while working in the area. The facilities were great and the site was quiet. I had a nice spot in between a few trees so I was sheltered from the sun. There is a place to wash your clothes and dishes, there’s even a couple of tumble dryers. I had a tent although there were caravans and campers there too. The site is right next to the river and it’s a lovely spot.

AJ van Leusden: Good place to stay for 1 or 2 nights. Very friendly helpful staff.

Lee Jackman: ***Update - Have just got back after a great weekend, we was very nervous as its out 1st time out since the lockdown. We didnt need to worry, everything was well spaced apart and the toilet blocks have a good set up we felt very safe and very welcome. We have even booked up to go back next month.***Have been to this site a number of times over the years and always had a nice time. There are 3 or 4 lovely pubs and a village shop a short walk along the river. There is a great kids play area in the middle is the site and all the kids seem to make friends easy there.

Mark Davis: Arrived to be met with a very happy wee wumman who was very accommodating and chatty. Pitch was nice grass cut to a good length. Clean toilet blocks with brilliant rain showers that felt great. I would reccommend for a very great price.

Steff Davis: a toaster and a kettle! Campsite is right on the Thames and there is lovely parakeets in the trees! All in all a perfect trip!

Philip Littlefield: Nice camp

Jonathan Skennerton: Very quite clean site nice friendly staff well maintained .

Chris Moss: This is a little gem of a campsite. Very clean facilities, welcoming wardens and 20 min walk to nearest pubs and bus stops. My only moan is when children on their bikes ride through and across your pitch and cabling. Perhaps it's just me but I do find it annoying.

Mathijs B: We spent a night at Kelvedon Hatch Camping during a bike trip. The campsite has good sanitary facilities and staff were very friendly!

Hertford Camping & Caravanning Club Site: what do users think?

Sue May: Lovely site. Only problem was that they shut the facilities block for refurbishment so had a trek to the other block. Shut on the Tuesday.... Still shut when we left on the Sunday! Not great!

JJ: Very large site, was -5 when we went in mid January. Everything was clean and tidy with lots of lovely scenery around, just at the back is Balls Park miss been some 63 acres. All in all very pleasant break.

Carl Blackwell: Went there to recover a vehicle for an elderly couple, the staff there are really helpful and went out of their way to make things go smoothly for them

Mark Rutter: Absolutely loved this site. Great staff and a very clean and well maintained place. Plenty of space for everyone and everything you need for a great holiday. Hertford is a fabulous market town with plenty of dog friendly pubs.

Stephen Little: Spacious, parkland site with good toilet and wash room facilities.

Jane Hanbury: is a must see. We would also recommend the Verulamium museum, Hypercaust situated in the wonderful Verulamium park with its reasonable priced car park and 15 mins walk to the Cathedral.

Tony Minides: Beautiful, well maintained but could do with a club house, breakfast place. Loads of walks, a nice pub nearby and within minutes to Hoddesdon

Elaine Dent: One of our favourite places, overly helpful staff too

Kevin Broad: Pitches more than adequate, only disappointment for a CC club site was the facilities are a bit dated and could do with a spruce up.The staff keep them lovely and clean but can only do so much, the staff are great and a real asset to the club, friendly and helpful.
