Aux Pains de Papy: what do users think?

Freija Milis: Aux Pains de Papy offers authentic french croissants. Definitely try the pain au chocolat!

Just another Forgotten Comment: A true gem of a bakers. Stayed in London last year and made this my daily breakfast stop.

Alice Sunderland: Great service and even better pastries! Had the ham and cheese croissant which was heated for me, will be going back!

Olivia A-V: Absolutely lovely service and amazing pastries to go with it! Some of the best pastries I've ever had in the UK! I would highly recommend visiting.

Sadi Pekin: Cute buolangerie. Nice workshop inside your shop. I tried your baguette sandwitch and your croissant pastry with fruits and custard. The patstry was really nice. Next time I want to try your croissants.

Bianca Argyle: Best Croissants in London. The staff is nice and friendly! love this place. Martina

Gillian Humble: Oml!! The best pastries ever!!! Not kidding. We got there early afternoon and lots had been sold. The coffee machine was not working. Certainly worth a visit.

Darrin Gietzel: Great food, very friendly people.

xyfio: Crusty and airy almond croissant

V Babu: Excellent service. Admittedly, I have yet to try their food but I did order a cake for a party which had to be cancelled at the last minute due to unforeseeable circumstances. The team at Aux Pains de Papy were extremely understanding, sympathetic and have offered to accommodate my last minute change without any fuss. A heartfelt thanks to them all.

yuxing chen: It tastes so good!!!

constantino gavalas: . Once again thank u! :

Xiao Jiao de Hooge: A very small but delicious little bakery! The sandwiches are really good and the staff is also very friendly.

Bruno Vital: By far the best croissant I ever had, I highly recommend it.

Yousun Cha: Pleasant surprise! Butter croissant was very light, great find

Mark Gill: Excellent croissants if you like them crispy

E. Massop-Jelijs: • The different croissants were delicious.• The fresh orange juice was a bit on the expensive side.• Friendly service.

Sinead O'Hara: Best Croissants I have ever had

Alina Gore: Everything I tried was extremely delicious, especially their pistachio croissants and peach pastry. Buttery, not to sweet but sweet enough, just the right taste to feel the fruit and nuts.If you want to try pistachio croissants visit them before 12PM. They do only 5-7 croissants per day. Otherwise you risk to stay hungry and angry.

Pophams Bakery - Islington: what do users think?

Sam McAllister: Living near here is nice but life would be significantly worse without Pophams. Excellent people, excellent coffee.

Ishmael Evans: Love this place. Great staff, food and coffee!

Dylan Sutton: Great coffee and service!

Karen Ly: Delicious flaky pastries, great coffee and super friendly service! Lovely place for brunch

Lara Fry: Cardamom bun is great!

Alice Grice: Delicious coffee and pastries. Bacon and maple was divine!

Brian Larsh: Lovely spot

Samantha Syrad: Mocha was amazing, nice window-side counter seating and outdoor seating. Will have to try the pastries and lunch menu on another visit, both looked delicious.Staff were also lovely.

Jane Teo: Love the pastries. Was one of my many times there and as usual, did not disappoint

Bobby: Pophams is my go-to spot for amazing coffee. The baristas really know their stuff and the house blend they serve is just perfection. They bake their pastries with love and you can taste it in every bite, best croissants in Islington

Tarek: , slightly salty, crispy, flaky and everything you want in a pastry.Oh and unexpectedly, the coffee was excellent too! High marks on both their cortado and flat white. Thanks guys!

ulgen semerci: Great coffee. Unfortunately not even one vegan pastry.

Anouska Singh: Overall super lovely experience and the staff were super friendly. These are my little reviews of the items I got today- beetroot soup with sourdough: soup was nice but wasn’t my style of soup per se, the sourdough is some of the nicest sourdough I’ve had in a very long time. super bubbly and soft with a wonderful crust. they could’ve given a little bit more bread but it was still a lovely meal- pain au chocolat: it was quite burnt on the outside however it had SO MANY layers so it was fine once you peeled the outermost layer off. the layers were super buttery and delicious, they reminded me of the pastries in Paris. the chocolate on the inside was yummy and the pastry itself was very big, which is to be expected for a £3.9 pain au chocolat. so it’s a little pricey but you won’t be left hungry.the food was very delicious but a little expensive. id definitely come here again if im in the area

Oleh Onyshchak: superb place! The most puffy and crunchy ones I've tried so far. Excellent & attentive staff + very efficient orderingProbably the only downside is lack of place to wash hands or hand sanitiser

James Holloway: A local institution. Coffee, pastries, bread and excellent toasties. Gets very busy so expect to wait.

Ezgi Turan: Although they have many customers, they are still as helpful, kind and loving as on the first day. Everything is very tasty and prices are average. Nice location. I love MIEL :

D H: لذيذ المكان صغير بس مخبوزاته لذيذة وفرش

FA: Almond croissant fantasy 👌👌👌👌

Anastasiia Michael: Thanks for the bread 😉🍞

A. S: We loved coming here. We got chai tea and two pastries. They were delicious. The place is nice and relaxing, we highly recommend!

Diana Catalina Palacio: Amazing fresh bread. I had the almond croissant. It was so tasty that I had to eat it all.

jojoromancer: are on their way to the office, having enough staff and having things properly set up at opening would be really beneficial. Also, potentially a minor thing, but it would be great to make sure products are signed and priced. Given the chaos, there have been a couple of times where I'm sure I've been overcharged.

Drew Staples: Best croissants I've ever had!

Katie Davis: Very good pastry

Jonathan Michael: Pastries are amazing but expensive, and the service can be passive.

Elâ Sophia: amazing pastries and lovely people

Michelle: Great pastries. Hands down some of the best bread I’ve ever had, baked daily. Highly recommend to all!

chan Mary: A good selection of pastries and cakes.Highly recommend the hazelnut roll! One of the best in London 💯Although the pastries are of a higher price, they all look yum and I would definitely want to try more😍It’s quite a popular place so it’s not always likely to get a seat insideAnd the tables were a bit dirty because no one came to clean up but it’s understandable

Miki N: , Alphonso mango tart, and Galette in January! They shine!!Vegetarian options: Mushroom pastry! And majority of baked pastries and sweets are vegetarian friendly.

Dalal: The place is crowded and smallSessions are limitedThe bakery is bitter, sweet and varied, and all the varieties we tried were delicious 👌🏼⭐️⭐️We had a cappuccino, which was deliciousAnd the hot chocolate is balanced, not heavy 👍🏻** Everything in the picture we took is delicious

Charles Duchemin: The pastries / pastries are very good and the scones on site are really delicious, to be enjoyed hot with Gail's cream!

Emma Craig: Absolutely gorgeous, so glad we stopped in. Lovely coffee, enticing pasties, will have to come back to try more!

Kā'ai Fernandez: , sausage roll, and spinach and feta roll. All were pretty good, though I'd say if you could only get one, go for the scone! We also got a loaf of rosemary and potato sourdough, which was great! But their coffee is not as great—the latte was something I wouldn't get again.

max kim: Rida was really lovely! Super nice customer service. Good good and sweet treats too.

Zoe Ryan: No bread cutting machine, other that that it’s great

Jeremy Arnaud: Decent pastry and service

Endüstrikop: This self-service cafe boasts an attractive display that caught my attention. Despite my initial desire for a cinnamon roll, I opted for the savory spinach and feta roll as I had yet to have breakfast, and it did not disappoint. The coffee also exceeded my expectations in terms of taste. However, it's worth noting that cash payments are not accepted here, and the interior space may be considered limited for some patrons. Overall, my experience at this establishment was satisfactory, but there may be room for improvement in terms of payment options and spatial capacity.

Neil Gilkes: Great cakes and lovely coffee

Sally Mcphee: I’ve been addicted to Gail’s blueberry muffins and cinnamon buns since my first week in UK so I visited on Thursday evening for my last bread before leaving and this young lady with black hair greeted me with warmth and kindness 🙂 I don’t know her name so I mentioned some of her characteristics so that she can know this review is about her and how much better my trip in UK became because of her🙏🏻 Thank you.

Little Bread Pedlar: what do users think?

Christian Harris: Update. They no longer sell bread from this location. Strangely, they’ve removed the location of their nearby cafe from google maps. So good luck finding it.So delicious! I’ve been coming here since Covid lockdown and have become a big fan. Their cinnamon bun and orange/cardamom are delicious. Their other pastries are down to taste. I really like their bread too. Unfortunately they’ve been impacted by inflation so their bread/pastries are becoming quite pricey.

Jeremy Grinkey: Wifey likey, me too!

Gozi Edwards: Best croissants in London

Kimberley Hancock: Alessandro best short bread I’ve ever had

M Kim: Best pastry makers in town..! My everyday go-to place!

Jeff Ronk: Great pastries and super friendly service.

Jodie Chan: . Ellie and I enjoyed our time there and we would definitely go back!

J: however, the takeaway coffee experience today was very slow - a small gripe I know. For busy people, If you are in a rush and looking for a takeout coffee just be warned you may have to wait longer than expected.

The_Smell_of_Roses _: . The only downside is that the opening times keep changing, and the early morning opening hours have shifted from 7am to 8:30am. It's a shame that the bakery closes earlier in the day, so it's too late when I come back from work and too early when I'm heading to work. Other than that, I'm always happy with my visits to this great bakery!

May Alhusari: Lovely freshly baked cardamon buns

Jarrod Van Berkel: Decent little space for coffee at the base of the new apartment complex. Was quite busy and a little chaotic ordering because of the London Marathon but staff were doing their best. Cheese toastie with chilli jam was as well as the everything pastry. Haven't tried the bread but all looks good. Will be back for sure as we live closeby.

Krasi Ivanov: Great bakery, the sandwiches are amazing, but the best treat they've got is that one Bulgarian baker, wow 😍

Ash Mohtadi: Wife and I just had the Bacon/egg and egg/mushroom sandwich topped off with almond croissant and lattes- perfect thanks!!

Beatriz Bailo: Loved the new place. Bread and pastries were already a success but now they have coffee and a lovely place with a cozy seating area.

Karolina Kuczko: Great space, awesome cardamom buns. My favourite bakery since I moved into the area. Nice to see the guys growing and moving to that new locality. Definitely worth visiting.

Federica Micheli: Truly the heart of Hackney, delicious produce and pastries. Great spot after yoga.

Daniel Burka: Great coffee and great market

David Whalley: A cool place without trying too hard. Coffee was top notch, the blondie was superb and the kimchi and cheese toastie hit the spot. Would love to have been able to buy some of their shop ingredients to take home too

Esra Adibelli: Best sourdough bread you can get in London. My belly never gets bloated after eating their breads. They also have great breakfast options.

Heather Harmsworth: Excellent pastries, coffee and general vibe. Highly recommend.

al an: E5 has been my North star in my time living in London. The one thing I can rely on for a good day... the place that reminds me what i love about hackney. It's the one cafe I always feel welcome to sit and work or read. Every food item I've ordered has always left me with a smile, and I didn't know you could crave literal toast with Jam until I had their sourdough.

David Glot jean Marie Christophe: Good scrambled eggs

S: Sausage bap pretty good but pricey at £10.5.The service really depends on the time of day and whos serving you. Ive tried a mix of sweet and savoury items and they all generally good, if not expensive.

Aux Merveilleux de Fred: what do users think?

francesca lorenti: Great place to have a quick and very good breakfast.Fast and friendly service, slightly aseptic environment but I think also because it is purely a take-away pastry shop.

Veronique Soret-Walker: A speciality bakery with a selection of meringue bases products in a variety of flavours.Selection of sandwiches, brioches, croissants etc.Lovely hot chocolate and tea selection. An interesting experience.Only 3 small round tables in a cosy corner with confortable seatsThe staff was friendly

Shaden K: This place is small but beautiful. The coffee is one of the best Ive had in London. I ordered a coconut milk cappuccino. They serve hot chocolate brioche buns that are so wonderfully warm. We also got a coffee waffle but it unfortunately was dry and stale.

Solera Cheng: Honestly, you are going to die in heaven when you eat the almond croissant here! Lol because I definitely did! The pastry and coffee here are next level!!! You absolutely need to come try the pastry. It is flaky on the outside but soft and warm on the inside. Just soooo delicious! I also had their latter and hot chocolate, which are also really delicious. 5 stars!!!

Luke: The almond chocolate croissant was so yum. The brioche too. I also found their prices more reasonable than other bakeries in the area. I found the hazelnut merveilleux a bit too sweet for my tastes

Bridget Cooke: Wow beg steal or borrow a cake from this fantastic French bakery it's my absolute fav place in London run there u won't regret it

Scott Norris: Stopped after walking by and seeing the chocolate brioche bun. It was fantastic, light and airy.

Marife Blando: I wish they have baguette too.

Lisa Vollen: One of the best almond croissants I've ever had! Friendly service.

Dan Tay: Good French bakery with soft buns and sweet meringue

Content “CW” Writer: Great customer service from Giulia, she is really the heart of this patisserie

Kushagra Gupta: I recently had the pleasure of visiting a French bakery and I have to say, it was an incredibly enjoyable experience. From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by how cute and charming the place was. The interior was beautifully designed with a touch of Parisian elegance, making for a truly delightful atmosphere. But the real star of the show was the baked goods. In particular, the chocolate brioche and meringues were absolutely amazing. The chocolate brioche was soft and fluffy, with just the right amount of chocolate to satisfy my sweet tooth. And the meringues were light and crisp, with a delicate sugary flavor that was simply divine.Overall, I would highly recommend this French bakery to anyone looking for some delicious baked treats. So if you find yourself in the area, be sure to stop by and try the chocolate brioche

Spencer Voakes: on a Sunday.

Bianca Lim: delicious no doubt. no photo coz the bread already in my tummy

Cris: Absolutely delicious pastries made fresh on the premises. Prices are aligned with location but in general good value. 4 stars since only a handful of tables available inside tucked in a corner. It would be nice to have a bigger space to enjoy the marvellous food and drinks here.

Maison Bertaux: what do users think?

Dev Rama: A place I have wanted to go for so long, it's so quintessentially Soho from any era. Perfect as it is.

Saleema Moumene: Great for people watching, not so great for personal space. You’ll hear everyone’s conversations. Wobbly tables and everything’s tight squeeze. However the coffee and pastries make up for the uncomfortableness. Lovely staff.

Taliesinno: A "hole in the wall", but patisserie and service out of this world

Abbigail Alyssa The Sisters: Delicious cake. Warmly service.

Melissa Jade Goodwin: Five stars for such a great selection of teas, pastries, cakes, tarts and an old authentic French atmosphere. The staff are very lovely and were of great help, showing warmth and adding to the enjoyment of visiting. I ordered the almond-based cherry tart and blue lady ‘marigold’ tea and found these to be delightful. It’s definitely a favourite of mine.

Raymond Tse: 這裡的員工十分友善,鬆餅搽上奶油和果醬十分美味,適合來這裡悠閑一下

진시라노: Croissant!! Ham&cheez

Stu Walker: The Best Patisserie in London. The whole selection is superb - croissants in the mornings, wonderful savouries for lunch the cakes are excellent. Fruit Tarts, eclairs, cheesecakes, gateaus et cetera. I recommend the cheesecake or raspberry tarts. Also a reasonable price for the area, around £10 per person for a generous portion of tea and a large slice of cake. The service was quick and very friendly too.

vegetables love: スコーンの食べ応えがすごい。クロテッドクリーム美味しい😋

Yoko Homo: Top notch coffee and cake, sit outside and watch the world go by

W.Z Chu: The best traditional scone with clotted cream and jam. Staffs were very friendly. Especially staff Hannah, she was sweet, kind and beautiful. I had a very good experience in here. Love this place! Highly recommend!!!

Manar Suliman: The service was amazing, the staff were friendly, the bakery super delicious 🤤

럽럽: It was better than the scones I've had at other places. I especially liked that the cream wasn't too sweet and had a fresh taste. The earl gray tea had a good scent, and the staff was friendly. However, it was a bit busy because it was small and there were a lot of people, but after being guided to a table and sitting down, it was okay.

Sara Zacconi: Excellent place for a snack/breakfast in the Soho area. Delicious tea and equally good homemade cakes.Friendly and helpful staff and a very nice place

YASMIN ASLAM: In London to see my son for his 26th birthday, googled best cake shop and Maison Bertaux came up. Took the short trip from Euston and was welcomed into this beautiful patisserie by a male who helped me choose from their wide selection and then double bagged the cakes as I’m taking the tube. Will definitely come back!!Recommended dishes Cakes …

Edward Chak: This is a restaurant located in Soho. It is very conveniently located near Chinatown. The front is a big blue tent, so it can be seen from a distance. The store has an entrance on one side and a lobby on the other. There are also seats outside for dining. The restaurant mainly sells coffee, cakes and breads. They have a wide selection of breads, such as croissants. In addition, there are many styles of cakes to choose from. If you like it, you can buy takeout and take it home to eat, which is also very convenient. The decoration of their store is very special. It has a cluttered feeling but it feels like home. It is very comfortable. You may need to make a reservation to eat here. After all, this is a restaurant in Soho. Another interesting thing is that he has promotional text in Korean near his cashier. You can imagine how popular this store is with tourists.Vegetarian options: There are cakesParking: Parking is a bit inconvenient around here.

Oren Zur-Shavit: The best apple pie that I ever ate!!The almonds and lemon Moon cookies are also a thing you must try, but... The service, oh, it's totally the best.At the next time I'll be visiting London, I'll drop by first of all because of the excellent service.A real pleasure!!
