Therapy Central: what do users think?

sofia Mazur: , mindfulness, and acceptance and commitment therapy

Lara h: Came to Therapy Central after months of battling anxiety and bouts of depression and it was one of the best decisions I took. A few sessions in with Dr. Nicholas Sarantakis made a huge difference in my journey to recover! My conversations with Dr Nicholas helped reframe many of the problems I am facing and this eased my anxiety/ stress levels. I also feel more empowered with a few tools to deal with my problems in a healthy sustainable way.To anyone struggling, the first step is to reach out. Highly recommended!

Richard Thacker: There are many options when it comes to finding a therapist. However if you are looking for one that is tailored to your needs then look no further than Therapy Central. I have been receiving therapy with Amy Smith for over a year now and she has been incredible. I would highly recommend her to anybody.

Min Chih Tan: I worked with Yasmeen Jaina through a few bereavements and destabilising life changes, and found her sessions really helpful. Her advice was both kind and constructive, and from these sessions I was able to regain my footing quickly and confidently.

P H: I have been having therapy with Anna Hovris for over 2 years and there really aren’t enough words to express how grateful and lucky I am.I suffered abuse and neglect in my childhood which led to PTSD and addiction in later life.Anna is highly skilled, knowledgeable and an expert in her field and, moreover, combines this with genuine warmth, empathy and compassion which has helped me overcome my fears of opening up over certain aspects of my past that I’d never shared with anyone.Anna is an attentive listener and provides insightful observations, without judgement, that encourage reflective thinking, and provides me with the tools and practical support that I can use away from our sessions.Anna skilfully creates thought-provoking conversations and is able to throttle these to provide a careful mix of challenge, support and empathy.I simply cannot thank Anna enough for everything she’s done and is doing to help me. I very much see this as a journey now and it’s not easy at times, but having Anna on that journey with me has made it so much easier.

G Fitz: This is a long overdue review and a strong endorsement of the effectiveness of Dr Anna Hovris. I went to Anna as a war veteran with ongoing PTSD but had reached overload with anger outbursts and other things going on. The PTSD was mostly manageable or so I thought but add to this exhaustion, family break up, work stress and other things, not helped by a violent upbringing, then the wheels were coming off the waggon. Under Anna's direction I was steered on to thinking things through differently, approaching things differently and ultimately coming through to a different and better place. There will be the occasional PTSD slip but that is such a rare event now, I am in a much better position now. I was told many years back when first diagnosed with PTSD that I would probably need at some point to go through the type of treatment provided by Anna and kicked the can down the road a number of times. I need not have dreaded it, I found it not be an experience to dread, not what I expected at all, it was all positive. It made changes to my life so much for the better, should have done it years before I did but never too late.

Retha Ritter: I had a very positive experience with Therapy Central thanks to Amy Smith. I came to see Amy in search of support to manage my CFS. From our first contact Amy was helpful and professional. She gave me the tools and support I needed to better manage the illness. I would highly recommend the service to anyone seeking support with CFS. I cannot thank Amy enough!

Agne R: I found Anna to be an incredibly skilled therapist. Her professionalism and empathy made it easy for me to trust her from the beginning. She listens and understands, and offers explanations as well as helpful practical advice.

riana thakrar: Therapy is one of those things that lots of people talk about but I always seemed to put it off. I came across Therapy Central at a time when I wasn't quite sure what to expect. My therapist - Dr Yasmeen Jaina - has to be one of the best things that has happened to me. She took the time to get to know me without judgement, understand me with nuance, support me and build me up.I found her style extremely powerful - she listens and asks thought provoking questions in a way that is both kind, empathetic and impactful. There were things I learnt about myself that I never thought possible, and Yasmeen's support and genuine interest in me, not only brought me back into a better place, but has - i think - left a lasting impact on my self-awareness, self-worth and life outlook!Thank you so much Yasmeen!

Eddie J: Amy took me on when things were really tricky. She has helped me considerably and allowed me to return to my normal life. Great listener, very intelligent and I Highly recommend her and her team.

Sophie Poole: I cannot thank Anna Hovris enough for the work she has done with me over the past couple of months. To say Anna has changed my life is no exaggeration. My sessions have given me a much better understanding of myself, helped me process and accept certain situations and emotions I had been holding on to for years, and have provided me with coping mechanisms and strategies for any set backs I may face in the future. I will continue to keep in contact with Anna and look forward to continuing with being supported by her.

Henrietta Greene: Superb experience seeing Dr Amy Smith, and an incredibly positive experience of the practice as a whole - from the first email to the final invoice, the service was faultless. Dr Smith helped me achieve things I really didn't think I'd ever accomplish. Her guidance was sensitive yet practical, immensely informative and wide-ranging. I've been left with a variety of strategies and tools to help me continue on an upward trajectory away from the problems of the past. An enormous thanks to you Dr Smith.

Sarah Guilfoyle: Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for support. It’s a scary thing to seek help for feelings and thoughts but I am so glad I did, the care I received was brilliant. I found Anna to be great at allowing me to see my own potential through her methods, for how I could improve my mental health, she is a very compassionate and honest person, easy to talk to and gave me a great help throughout my therapy. The advice and tools I learned throughout my sessions have allowed me to be a happier, more content and stronger person and I am really grateful to Anna for that.

andrea vergara: Anna Hovris was my therapist, I can't thank Anna enough for her support and help, and how much this has changed my life. Anna was very empathetic, compassionate and very good listener.I am now more able to manage my anxiety, I learnt skills to regulate myself and I continue to practice and use my relapse prevention plan on a daily basis.Thank you Therapy central team for helping me and guiding me to try a different therapy from the one I was initially after. I has been a good learning and a life changer.

Zara Burns: My therapist Anna Hovris was and remains very supportive even now that my sessions have ended. The sessions were structured well but I was also able to speak freely as and when I wanted to. I found it very easy to talk to Anna and felt that she had genuine care for my well-being and suggested different coping strategies to guide me in times of need.I would not be the person I am today without the therapy sessions I had and I would not hesitate to return if I needed it.

Amal H: I decided to undertake therapy for some issues, I was going through at the time. I contacted Therapy central had an assessment the next day. I was given a choice of therapists, I chose Dr Juliet Anton.Absolutely best decision, she made me feel comfortable to open up, discuss what was going on, helped me to navigate through, what was a difficult time. I never felt like, I was judged, always came away from a session, having gained so much. My life has improved so much since, I started my sessions with Dr Juliet. Honestly very thankful that, I met an amazing therapist. I would highly recommend Dr Juliet Anton!!

Dr Christine Langhoff - Dulwich Psychologist: what do users think?

Jack S: Christine is a wonderful therapist. I would highly recommend her services to anyone thinking about asking for help.

Jemma G: Christine came highly recommend from 2 different sources and I would definitely recommend to my family and friends too!

Leesa kuen: Christine is really just great at what she does. She has a lovely open manner, very relatable - and actually talks / gives feedback which I know is not always the case. Her compassionate therapy approach was highly affective for my PND and exploring the past which has given me the tools to be me more positive, proactive and in control of my life. I can’t thank her enough for the work we have done together.

Kate de Lima: Christine is an exceptional psychologist. She helped me immensely at a very difficult time after the birth of my first child. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that she changed my life in many ways. She is highly empathetic, is able to quickly get to the crux of your issues, and is very skilled at helping you to effect change. I instantly felt comfortable with her and felt she offers a great balance of being friendly and relatable as well as professional. She is very intelligent and is an expert in her field. She is not at all judgemental and clearly connects with people very well. I would not hesitate to recommend her to others.

Adyss Smeets: Christine is empathetic, friendly and highly professional. I would recommend her to anyone.

Magdalena GM: Christine is an incredible supervisor. She is very experienced and knowledgable. I really enjoy the supervision sessions with Christine. I would highly recommend her services to anyone who wants to learn and develop their therapeutic/psychological skills.

Stuart Sadler: I've worked with Christine in supervision and it's clear she understands how to get the best out of clients and clinicians that she works with. A great service.

Abigail Pamich: Very thoughtful and caring. Professional, extremely high level of training, really wants the best for each and every client. She is non judgemental and compassionate. I thoroughly recommend seeing her.

Katherine Good: Christine is fantastic at her job. I saw her for 8 months until she and I both felt that I had the skills to go on alone. She has an approach which is professional, open and non-judgemental and her sessions have proved invaluable to me.

Elliot Smith: I found my sessions with Christine incredibly helpful. From our first meeting she was able to offer insights and practical suggestions that I was able to make use of immediately. Her approach felt rigorous and honest while remaining friendly and humane. I felt supported and listened to during our sessions but also encouraged to make changes and take action independently. Christine gave me a clear outline of the type and duration of treatment I should expect during the first session, which turned out to be extremely accurate. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

Millay Vann: I found Christine to be very warm and easy to engage with. I only saw her for a short number of sessions and I was struck by how readily she was able to help formulate my problems and offer practical steps to help. She has a great focus on real change. I would highly recommend this very professional, flexible psychologist to anyone.

Jason Kennedy: Mar 2016, I decided to Christine for support to help me manage panic attacks, which occurred in situations which I regarded as highly stressful. They had been getting worst over a period of a few years before I met Christine. I was unable to travel using trains, had become afraid of enclosed spaces, and any busy environments with lots of people or activity. Anyway, Christine was able to offer a hands on approach, exposing me to feared situations after some theory work. I am now back on trains, tubes, travelling further then I was able to travel before, using lifts again. Only a couple of weeks ago, I was in Regent street and Oxford st which were very busy. I have progressed so far in such a small space of time. I really feel I owe so much to Christine. She has helped me believe in myself again with the aid of theory, helpful tools that I use to help manage stress and her belief in me. She also has a unique ability to push you along should you decide to take a backseat which I really needed but totally professional. I really enjoyed our sessions. She has literally helped me turn my life around for the better. I am so grateful, I just can't praise her high enough and I will never forget her.

Thea Joubert: Dr Langhoff helped me through a very tough time. She was always kind, understanding and utterly professional. I learned a lot during my time with her, and still refer back to some of the 'thinking' we discussed when we worked together.I would highly recommend her services.

Josie: I have been to see Christine during two difficult periods and found her to be outstanding at giving me the help I needed to improve my state of mind. I saw Christine for 6 sessions on each occasion and this was enough for me to then use the things she taught me to keep making progress. Her CBT-based approach is practical for making changes in day-to-day life while still giving plenty of room to explore and talk about underlying issues and feelings. Highly recommended.

Fionn A: When I realised I needed psychological support after the birth of my child I contacted Dr Langhoff. She replied very promptly and had an appointment arranged for me as soon as possible. I was able to take my child to sessions which was brilliant as I would have struggled to manage otherwise. However on the occasions when childhood illness etc meant we couldn't physically attend we were able to contact via Skype so we didn't miss sessions.I can't overstate the positive impact my work with Dr Langhoff had on my relationship with my child and adjusting to life as a mum. We were also able to have refresher sessions a year later whuch was very helpful. I would highly recommend Dr Langhoff.

Elizabeth Harte: I am a fellow Psychologist and previously worked with Christine in the NHS. She was a wonderful warm and open colleague. Christine always made time for others, she was dynamic, organised and highly efficient. Christine has a great depth of knowledge and experience. She received excellent feedback from her clients and contributed greatly to the service through her innovative and hands-on approach. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
