Nancy Goldstein: Usually a denizen of CrossFit South Brooklyn in the United States, I enjoyed 10 days this past January working out at CrossFit London. It was, hands down, the best of the half dozen or so CF boxes I've visited in the past year in cities ranging from Granada and Rome to Madrid, Seville, and Tunis. Luke Brumer welcomed me warmly, as did Carolyn Logan, Matt Deaves, and Juan Ma, who even went the extra mile to make sure that a group of women going out for breakfast after class included me. Nico Salton, the head coach, was terrific: VERY knowledgeable, as well as encouraging, and insightful. I definitely learned a thing or two from his excellent feedback. As an added plus, Nico was not one to play favorites. I felt that he paid as much attention to me as a 50-something woman in her second year of CF as he did to anyone else, from the muscle guys to the marathoner women. That's what great CF is all about: giving everyone the chance to become the best they can be. Next time I'm in London, I'll be back. Rock on, CFL!

It may be a smaller one, but it's very friendly and welcoming and overall I have enjoyed myself far more than I deserve.So to get this out of the way - I didn't enjoy all of the coaches as no one can please everyone, but Brian, the owner, is a great guy and a wonderful coach! If you enjoy morning workouts, do sign up for his class.The workouts come in two parts - first either a skills drill or weightlifting oriented and a second leverages on what was done in the first with a classical crossfit workout.Coming back to coaching: I have received some very good advice and loads of great encouragement from the coaches, again especially Brian, but also others.All in all, this has become my go-to gym when I am in London and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone.

Coaches provide appropriate scaling, and modifications, with high level technique correction. Classes run smoothly with a focus on moving safely and having fun. I didn’t work with her to mend the ulcer but the news gave me the push to finally eat properly and feel healthy.I have worked with her now for 6 weeks and Nelly has taught me so much. The changes have been so simple and I haven’t felt in the least bit deprived. I now drink water throughout the day - sounds simple but I have never drunk water. I eat more than I ever have and now have so much energy. I enjoy our weekly catch up talking about how I’ve been feeling, what I’ve been eating and any challenges I’ve encountered. It really keeps me on track as does the daily app which Nelly updates on a weekly basis.I look forward to carrying on learning more from Nelly and seeing more steady progress. Emil Olsen: The best box in North London.Began my CrossFit life prior to moving to the UK 2 months ago. I had no experience with olympic lifting, gymnastics or calisthenics prior to CrossFit. I know I have a lot to learn and my goal in every class I go to give the HIIT programs all I've got and to constantly try and improve my technique.The strength programming and instruction is excellent in this box. All coaches pay attention to what everyone is doing and correct mistakes, help you improve, gently push you and are always available for a brief chat about scaling. I can't stand it when coaches yell to try and push me and this never happens here.To assist you in improving and because there is very little to no time for detailed demoing of movements during the WODs this box runs an excellent Olympic Weightlifting class twice weekly, gymnastics once weekly and an engine tuning/skills class once weekly.Of the four boxes I have come to in the last 2 months this is by far my favourite and I'm proud to call this my home away from home.

The coaches are very friendly and welcoming, and they’ve built an excellent atmosphere in their classes. The workouts are intense but well adapted to a wide range of abilities, and you don’t feel left out as a less confident gym-user. I’ve recently significantly improved my nutrition via a course with Amy, which has really helped me inside and outside the gym. I’ve also started personal training with Nick to improve some specific movements, and that’s been very helpful for my gymnastics.

We started with a 1 to 1 session to set some goals/make a plan, had 6 weeks of small group sessions to help make some sustainable changes and build good habits, and then had a 1 to 1 goal review at the end. I did one-to-one sessions with Nick who was great at helping me build technique on strength movements before joining group classes and had regular check ins with me over a period of 12 weeks. All coaches are so friendly and helpful during classes. They would always correct your form if needed and they really care about your goals. The workouts are always fun and the community is so supportive. I’ve never seen results so quickly! I absolutely love it!

Jade Van graan: I signed up to the nutrition course to start Jan 2023 with Amy at Bermondsey Crossfit and would highly recommend. We had a 1 to 1 session before hand to determine our goals and needs, then 6 face to face sessions over 6 weeks with weekly content being sent to us and a final 1 to 1 to review everything. Amy also sent a tailored plan with my goals and nutrient intake with some example ideas of meals. My prime goal was to fuel more effectively and reduce my injury risk for crossfit. Having been vegan for 6 years with IBS, I knew this was something I wasn’t doing and needed help with. We discussed multiple topics other than this around sleep, being able to set better boundaries and create more accountability. Overall I have met my goal of knowing how to fuel more effectively which has helped with my energy and I’ve been able to increase my crossfit volume and over all intensity but most of all avoid injuries. Would highly recommend!!

I’ve seen progress in my training in 3 months that i hadn’t seen in years at the gym. Every class comes with coaching cues, this combined with the use of the level method means everyone can train safely at their relative ability. The apps let you see what the WOD is in advance and enables you to record your progress. Most importantly, the trainers and socials are top tier!

Abiodun Michael Olatokun: is the best training I've received in any of those disciplines and I think you should do it.Getting big:Just under 3 months at XFB has improved my body composition considerably. I have put on 3kg of muscle while staying -9% body fat and usually feature in the top 10 UK athletes on the daily InBody ranking. I can more or less eat what I want because the workouts are so intense and my metabolism is rapid now. I'm also a lot stronger and have improved my traditional 'big' lifts. I am now able to perform 5 reps of my previous 1 rep maxes on the squat and bench and feel like I will soon be both absolutely and relatively strong.Flying:Before XFB I did a lot of calisthenics

Leilane Bernardi: I did the 6 weeks Nutrition group with Amy. My goal was to lose body fat and put on some muscle. She gave me all the informations that I needed to improve my diet and put in practice, always available to help and implement new tips or exercises to build strength. The Weekly meeting keep you focus in your goals and also a comfort place to share your difficulties and plan together how to improve. In the end of the 6 weeks I lose body fat and put 1,6kg lean muscle. So thank you very much Amy for your help and support all the through.

Sebastian Vetter: In addition to CrossFit, the gym offers a solid nutrition class that provides the basics for training- and weight loss focused nutrition. Amy was very dedicated in providing the participants with individual advice - at the same time the class was hold in small groups with focus on frequent exchange and progress updates. Recommended for those that like to develop the awareness and routines for a healthy consumption.

One of the specialised courses I recently completed here was on Nutrition and it was an absolute game changer for my phisical form as well as overall wellbeing. It helped me find a sustainable way to change some of my bad eating habits, discover healthier and delicious alternatives, and build awareness of all the factors that impact our eating such as stress and sleep. As a result I have experienced quicker recovery after training, consistent energy levels throughout the day, no bloated tummy any more. Fitness and wellbeing are not just about the efforts we put in the gym, it is much more than that, and the coaches here help us look and improve all the various aspects. Thank you coaches!

The staff is awesome, knowledgeable and very welcoming.The facility is located pretty much in the very center, it's clean and you also get a towel, deo and products for the shower! Could not ask for anything better for my London visit!100% recommended!

Stuart helped orient us with the gym and was a great coach for the WOD. The gym was exceptionally clean. Welcoming and great spot for a drop-in!

Rebecca Ramsey: I dropped in here in May 2023 and had a great experience. It's a convenient location, easy to book online and Coach Nate was a good coach. The facility & equipment were in good shape, everything was incredibly clean, and everyone was friendly and helpful. Coaches were solid, not afraid to give the drop-in tips which doesn't always happen. The workouts were challenging and I left each session feeling like I worked and got my heart rate up. I'll definitely drop-in again the next time I'm in London.
